“We Have To Beat The Virus”

November 29th, 2020

Bucs face “virus” during bye.

Joe personally doesn’t believe in hope. The Bucs have a chance to make the playoffs but in the month of November, the Bucs offense is playing so inconsistently the team seems like it is about to circle the drain.

The Bucs are now 7-5. The Bucs have four games left. Joe doesn’t want to hear about the NFC West teams losing today.

If the Bucs get to 10 wins, that should be enough for a wild card berth. To get to 10, the Bucs have to win three of the last four games.

Can they do it?

On the Buccaneers Radio Network after the game, Bucs coach Bucco Bruce Arians noted there is another opponent the Bucs will be facing during the bye week before they face the Vikings in two weeks.

And that opponent is COVID-19.

“We have to beat the virus,” Arians said. “Every team that has come back off the bye has had a virus problem. And we cannot allow the virus to cost us players down the stretch. We need all hands on deck.

“We have to beat the virus next week.”

The Bucs have been, for the most part, spared from dealing with The Sickness. The biggest problem may have been when training camp started. Since, the Bucs have been almost virus-free.

That’s not the case with a lot of NFL teams, more recently the Broncos and the Crows.

Joe doesn’t know how Arians plans on his players beating the virus during the bye. He surely can’t lock his team up in a hotel or quarantine them; the NFLPA would totally go mental. The bye week is an official vacation for players.

This is something to keep in the back of your mind when players return to One Buc Palace after the bye. How many, if any, players come down with the virus?

Sounds a lot like a coach trying to prepare the fans for a let down the last 4 weeks.

  3. Roy T. Buford Says:

Seriously, if that’s the concern BA?

It’s not Virus that you have to beat Coach…it’s the lack of discipline by your team if they are stupid enough to get mingly over the bye week. That’s back on you.

Kind of like numerous offsides penalties for no good reason.

imagine BA was a comedian on stage and tomatoes started getting chucked his way…he couldn’t bob and weave and dodge those splats…

    same thing on the sidelines…

when things aren’t going well versus the good teams we play, dude has no improvisational skills…

said dude has limited in game adjustment ability and looks like the lawn mower man on the sidelines when the bucs are getting rocked…

Remember history, ledge dwellers, Gruden was 9-3, lost 4 and was replaced by Raheem. That was a mistake.

I predicted a win. I was wrong. The team made a lot of adjustments during the game. Some worked. Some didn’t. Tyreek Hill is simply better than the Bucs best CB by far.

Rest up. Get ready for Minnesota.

Everybody should just stay over at Brady’s place…..chill out….put some mattresses on the lawn……add a stripper pole……some Uber drivers…..chill out.

He won 6 super bowls with drives like that? Were the hell was that the whole game? Bl sucks on play calling! Two intercepts called back, were is the coaching? The disaplin? This coaching staff needs to get its ass in gear!!

Hopefully, the Wuhan virus will mercifully end this charade.

This team has NO business even uttering the word “playoffs”.

There’s no vaccine for bad coaching.

  13. Bucfan81 Says:

If they don’t make the playoffs they better fire everyone and do a complete rebuild. Hell the dolphins are winning more games with not even half the talent as the Bucs.

Mattresses on the lawn and stripper poles? I thought Mike Williams was out of football.
