“This Is A Tag-The-Toe Football Team”

November 13th, 2020

Former Buccaneers rock star general manager Mark Dominik has seen enough.

Dominik still works in football as a regular co-host on SiriusXM NFL Radio, following his TV stint at BSPN.

And after much film study and analysis, he has determined that the 2020 season is a goner for the Buccaneers’ Sunday opponent, the Carolina Panthers.

No, Dominik doesn’t think the 3-6 Panthers have any chance to find their way to a 9-7 season and a shot at the playoffs in the expanded, seven-team Wild Card field, despite four teams with losing records remaining on their schedule.

“This a tag-the-toe football team,” Dominik said today.

He added that Carolina has plenty of “feel good stories,” including Teddy Bridgewater showing he’s a true franchise quarterback. As for 2020, though, Dominik said Carolina is “just learning but they’re not alive.”

Dominik doesn’t like the Panthers’ chances against the Bucs without Christian McCaffrey, and they officially are without him for the game.

It was be so Bucs to lose to a body-bagged football team in mid-November when Tampa Bay is a healthy club that desperately needs the game. The Bucs just have to find a way out of Charlotte with a “W.” No excuses.

Dominik was a tag-the-toe GM. He traded for a guy that no teammate wanted to room with, no one would sit by on the airplane because he was playing pocket pool. This guy was CONVICTED of atrocities. Thanks for nothing, Dominik.

Joe in Michigan: can that be compared to JW..Mr. 5,000!!! …oh how I wish he was here …at least he fought back on the field…I just don’t see that from NE12!!!

  3. SufferingSince76 Says:

Dominik should know a dead team when he sees one. He built one in Tampa.

  4. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Way to bait me in, Joe, lol.

  5. BucEmUp Says:

Constantly following what Mark Dominik thinks about this team is just a perfect example as to why they cannot stop being a bad team.Always dwelling or living in or with the past.

    LET IT GO!!!!!!!!

Congrats on your journalism degree, with a minor in ebonics.

  7. Joe in Michigan Says:

I’m sure the Panthers believe in Herm Edwards quote “You play to win the game!!”. They’re far from “dead”, as the clueless Dominik thinks. The Bucs need to follow the old quote from Al Davis and “Just win, baby!”.

    tickrdr,

    You be so funny.
    Joe be so cray.

I really do think depending on what Bucs team shows up we could be looking at 2 game losing streak. And if it turns into 2 loses in a row you better get ready for the wheels to come off. This game is probably the biggest game of the year so far. Too many players from the old Bucs losing mentality and after getting throttled and losing to another division rival they could fall right back into it.

Saying all that…… I think the Bucs share the feeling of a blowout and route the Panthers. If I’m wrong…. what I wrote above is a great possibility.

I hate this type of talk. We have yet to earn the right to look at other opponents as “DOA” or “easy wins”. Take this team seriously. Take EVERY team seriously. We KNOW what happens when you don’t.

  11. Scotty in Fat Antonio Says:

Sounds like a good old FAT KOD to me.

  12. Roy T. Buford Says:

Bucsfanman, exactly! This game Sunday can very easily be another loss.

  13. BringBucsBack Says:

Didn’t this “tag-the-toe football team” nearly beat the SB champs, 6 days ago? That team is not quitting and a Bucs’ loss would be a very mild surprise. Dom sucks!
