The Counseling Of Antonio Brown

November 2nd, 2020

Shady background.

Joe had to laugh after a loyal JoeBucsFan.com reader brought this to Joe’s attention.

In the comments of the post yesterday that furniture-tossing Antonio Brown is living with park-violating, home-invading, NFLPA-ignoring, down-forgetting Bucs quarterback Tom Brady in Derek Jeter’s waterfront Davis Islands pad, a reader pointed out how Bucs coach Bucco Bruce Arians was adamant Brady “didn’t have anything to do” with Brown signing with the Bucs.

Yet of all the places Brown ends up living in Tampa Bay, it just happens to be under the same roof where Brady sleeps. Now they are roomies. Cool!

But of course, Brady had nothing to do with Brown landing in Tampa.

Then there is an overlooked element in Jay Glazer’s report about who Brown sleeps with; Brady also has self-help guru Tony Robbins working with Brown.

Per NESN, Brady has had Robbins working with Brown for months. So has this relationship has continued as Brown is in Tampa?

But yeah, Brady had nothing to do with Brown landing in Tampa Bay. 🙂

With Brown’s past (and current) problems, with alleged hassles with women, are the Bucs good with this Robbins counseling him? Because a report from BuzzFeed that ran last year suggests Robbins, who is worth in the neighborhood of $500 million and has clients including the likes of Bill Clinton, Oprah Winfrey and Wayne Gretzky, may not exactly be on the up-and-up.

(For some background, BuzzFeed is also the same outfit that outed Mr. Entertainment, America’s Quarterback, Pro Bowler Jameis Winston, for a hassle with an Uber driver.)

A yearlong investigation by BuzzFeed News, based on leaked recordings, internal documents, and dozens of interviews with fans and insiders, reveals how Robbins has berated abuse victims and subjected his followers to unorthodox and potentially dangerous techniques. And former female fans and staffers have accused him of inappropriate sexual advances.

Two former followers who went on to work for Robbins provided BuzzFeed News with signed statements swearing under oath that they felt he had sexually harassed them by repeatedly pursuing them after they made clear they weren’t interested. Two more women who worked as his assistants said Robbins expected them to work alone with him when he was naked in his hotel room or in the shower. And another former employee said she was fired after having a consensual sexual relationship with Robbins. The events described by all five women took place in the 1990s and early 2000s, when Robbins’ fame was skyrocketing and before he married his second wife.

If Robbins has been working with Brown for months, Joe would love to know who is footing the bill. This Robbins character doesn’t impress Joe as the kind of guy who works pro bono. Joe has a hunch a certain quarterback who played in the B1G might be cutting the checks.

(Joe also has a feeling this is Robbins’ way of getting a foot in the door of adding NFL folks to his portfolio if Brown balls out with the Bucs. Robbins already is known within non-basketball association circles and MLS offices as a go-to guy to mentally rewire players and suits).

Hey, if this Robbins, by way of Brady, can keep Brown out of trouble for three months, this will be a helluva move by Brady Arians Bucs AC/DC-loving general manager Jason Licht.

Give it a break, Joe. AB is staying with TB12 and is getting counseling/life help from Robbins. So what? Who cares? Lots to complain about with Mr Big Chest being here, but this line of reasoning seems petty. I remember hearing Beckles say one of the worst things that can happen to a player with problems is that he gets cut from a team. Because then he has nobody to help him. He’s totally on his own. How many guys can fix themselves? They need help… AB can afford Robins. Let’s see how this plays out. And yes, AB has been a horrible human being. IDK if he still is…probably, but I still don’t know. I’d like to be proven wrong.

  2. Tampabuscsbro Says:

I’m still not sure why Joe keeps harping on Antonio brown coming here for a steal like it’s an awful thing.

I get it he was accused of some bad things like a certain other player Joe liked and is an all around headcase. But don’t forget Joe he is a HoF caliber player and at any time this receiving corps with no OJ Howard at TE could be down Evans Godwin and Miller. And the park violatin home invading Bucs QB is praying Cyril Grayson learns to catch a football.

Brown is needed as much as many people would like to say differently.

  3. BigMacAttack Says:

Yeah ok. Good report. I don’t care. Reserving judgment on all parties involved atm.

  4. adam from ny Says:

dam joe you should be giving mofos credit about sheet…

    but you don’t…

    not cool

  5. Ricky Says:

Joe is still butt hurt about Jameis. SMH.

  6. LUVMYBUCS Says:

    Psst Joe.

Tony Robbins has been working with NFL types for almost 2 decades now.

  7. adam from ny Says:

ndog gobbled up jameis’ loins and died …

    now everyones getting on joe…

  8. Broy34 Says:

This is about as dumb as when you claimed The AB signing was much bigger than what is being said. “Robbins is trying to get his foot into the door of the nfl” basically implied he has something on Brady” noooo its quite simple they want to win a damn ring. That segment of the podcast following a second straight blowout win and the complete lack of excitement was absolutely ridiculous

  9. John5 Says:

If any of you actually read about the issues with AB, such as the article issued by SI, you would know that guy doesn’t pay anyone for anything, among so many other issues. Everyone is crying don’t hate on AB while he won’t even pay his personal chef because he’s so arrogant, he thinks working for him is payment enough. So yeah. He’s not paying Tony Robbins his kinda cash for personal therapy/motivational sessions. That’s coming from somewhere else which is notable. And if you feel sorry for AB, you haven’t been paying attention to his timeline of antics at all. The guy is a world class turd, and all of the actions were his own doing. Including not paying anyone.

  10. Stravenite Says:

How about we focus on the football and give a bye to the rest of this continual nonsense, we have been through one disaster of a person in JW who held the team back and the talent back, we didn’t get him out the door as quickly as he deserved so we should know that won’t happen again.
Fed up with this drivel while we are going through our best results for many years, stop the immature postings and if it happens it happens, the continual harping on about whether Brady is involved in this or not, it doesn’t matter !, no interest in who did what / when / why negative pointless drivel.
What matters is wins, if bad AB shows up then get rid.

  11. AtlBuc Says:

It takes humility to accept counseling because a person has to acknowledge that they have issues. These are two huge steps towards becoming a better person. Maybe JW shoulda talked to Tony.

  12. Hodad Says:

If you think about it, it’s amazing Tom is doing this all for A.B.. Beckles said recently we ain’t bringing AB in to baby sit your kids, but Tom’s letting AB stay in his house, with his wife, and kids. Don’t know who that says more about, Tom, or AB?

  13. John5 Says:

    @ AwshBucs

ONE incident? No way dude. Read the stories. He has stiffed everyone including the chef. And that’s just one aspect of this guy’s issues.

  14. Richard Dickson Says:

I have no doubt that Brady was consulted on the signing and that his opinion held a lot of weight. I do not believe for a second that Brady walked in and said “Sign him” and everyone leapt to comply.

  15. VA Tom Says:

Based on reporting I have developed the opinion that I don’t like Antonio Brown. Allegations of rape etc… We have different values and life experiences.
That not withstanding, taking the opportunity to opine about his mental health treatment, his relationships and who chooses to assist him or house him seems like repeated below the belt BS. Dudes a public figure as are the rest of the NFS players, so I get that makes them “fair game”. But man, stories like this make me understand why these people hate the press.

  16. Clean House Says:

Too bad JW couldn’t get this help!!

  17. Mitch Says:

Last I heard he charges well over one million dollars for a years worth of his time.

  18. orlbucfan Says:

Con artists like Robbins sucker people/marks all the time. It doesn’t matter if they are loaded or homeless. We’ll find out soon enough if Brown is worth having. I’m glad Chris Godwin is being given the time to heal.

  19. Paul Says:

    HEY JOE-

Where is RESPECT?? PLEASE SHOW how you are giving credit to the GOAT for the BUCS turnaround? I mean he is the reason for this optimism and soon to be 6-2 record don’t you agree?

    Do you still miss JW??

Show some CLASS-if you know what it is.

  20. Boston Boy Says:

“If Robbins has been working with Brown for months, Joe would love to know who is footing the bill.”

Of course you would. You love gossip. Who is doing what to who and where forget about the why. Yesh. Schmo… gossip and athlete denigration is like pig slop to you. It makes you feel good. Makes your day. Yknow… like you are better than them. Unless of course they act like subordinate ‘boys’ and defer to you like Jameis did. Then you become the benevolent uncle doting on their every weakness. Just helping the ‘boy’ out. You got issues schmo on full display.

  21. Darin Says:

Holy smokes this Robbins guy is a mess. Glad ab is getting counseling but not from this guy. His 2 years of counseling just went up to 3 after he fires robbins. Man life’s a crazy mess sometimes. Go Bucs.

  22. Usedtocould Says:

Clean house, you really think it was realistic for Winston to stay at Brady’s house?

  23. Rick Says:

Robbins may not work pro bono, but he is pro boner

  24. Tvan101 Says:

Tony Robbins has also helped alot of people. Did you write this while you were drinking last night? Just trashing anyone who wants to help AB including the qb who has us at 5-2. Maybe they feel bad because Burflict game him brain damage, have a little class Joe.

  25. Tvan101 Says:

    *gave him*

  26. Tampabaybucfan Says:

So, now AB is a broke, homeless mental case who Brady took in off the streets.

  28. Rob in Land O Lakes Says:

You know, ever since “Shallow Hal”, I never trusted that guy.

  29. AJ Says:

AB is footing this bill. Or maybe even the NFLPA or NFL. Its all part of his rehab, re-imaging to get ready for the court date.

Thinking about what these sessions must look like, man that’s a mix/match. Sounds like an SNL skit in the making!

  30. Buc4evr Says:

I don’t care if AB paid his Chef or not, or for that matter who is paying for Tony Robbins.

The Bucs and TB12 gave AB another chance so at this point it’s about TDs and winning. Let’s hope AB can contribute and keep a low profile off the field.

  31. unbelievable Says:

Of course Robbins has intimidated and abused people like that.

It’s the same thing every other cult leader does as well.

  32. Cobraboy Says:

    I dunno.

Maybe I’m an outlier, but watching a guy who seems to be trying to turn his life around is a nice feel-good story.

Now if it works or not is a different issue.

AB was brought in to win a SB. All-in. End of story. Real Bucs fans should be overjoyed AB is on their team, and not the Saints or Seahawks.

  33. Buccystyle Says:

    Well said cobra

  34. Preacher Says:

[Sorry Preacher. Joe’s site was really never meant for children. And Joe isn’t doing anything different now than he did since 2008. If anything, the place is tamer. Not trying to chase anyone off but not wanting to change a successful business when other publishers are dropping like flies. Joe is happy that you chose to do business with one of Joe’s sponsors and Joe will be happy to assist with any other dealings you may have with this entity or others. — Joe]

  35. CrackerBall Says:

Hey, if it works… Doubt there is anything wrong with Tony Robbins, but haters gotta hate.

  36. Bush's Coke Spoon Says:

    “Counseling”

More likely Robbins and Brown are exchanging notes.

  37. Bush's Coke Spoon Says:

“Basically, Brady and Brown are going through the Bucs playbook every waking hour.”

    *Edit

Basically, Brady and Brown are going through *all of Derek Jeter’s spit* every waking hour.

Tony Robbins = sleazy mega-church televangelist

  39. Scienrobbinsoligist Says:

Tony Robbins isn’t a counselor, he’s a snake oil salesman probably with a narcissistic personality disorder. And, to get his praise, you pay a VERY hefty fee. So, if you have low self esteem, need a pick me up, and have a few thousand bucks to burn, go to one of his five seminars or attend his VIP vacation. Or, call your buddy TB12, get him to cut the check to Tony, and get “counseling” from a grifter.

It’s a short hop over to Clearwater. Maybe Tom will take AB to the “Taste of Scientology” brunch, next?

    Suckers
