JPP Just Wanted To Play

November 15th, 2020

Focused despite distraction.

OK, silly headline, right? Let Joe explain.

Last night Bucs fans heard of the plane fiasco where the team got to their Charlotte hotel some seven hours after they were scheduled to arrive due to mechanical failure on the plane.

In fact, the team was imprisoned on the plane for some five hours before authorities allowed the Bucs to head back to a private area at Tampa International Airport and wait for the new plane and try to hold team meetings and eat pizzas and sandwiches.

The minute Jason Pierre-Paul, the Bucs’ studly edge rusher, got to the team hotel, he took to Instagram and had a rant of a video where he was reading Joe’s mind.

Saturday “wasn’t a good day for none of us,” JPP said. “Who cares, right? You’ve got one job to do! That one job is to play football.”

JPP and the Bucs sure did today as the Bucs whooped up on the Stinking Panthers to up their record to 7-3. JPP had both a sack and a pick today.

(No, Joe’s not going to use the cheap line about JPP catching anything.)

JPP’s pick was a key play in the Bucs shutting out the Stinking Panthers 12-0 in the third quarter where the Bucs pulled away for the win.

It was JPP’s first pick since 2013. JPP now has 7.5 sacks and it looks like he may get double-digit sacks for the second time in his three seasons in Tampa Bay.

Yeah, JPP had one job. He played football. And he played it damn well.

JPP came to play today. Glad he is on our team non-stop motor, a great player, fantastic team leader.
I knew he would bring is best effort. He was embarrassed with the last games dismal play.
A lot of other players brought their best games as well. Shaq and his hustle sack, was awesome.
    Go! Bucs!

It would help a lot if Shaq could start playing like he did last year. JPP would have it a lot easier if Shaq was a beast.

  10. Bush's Coke Spoon Says:

I wonder if JPP worked with Godwin on catching the ball with 8 fingers? They were both on today.

  11. Señor Harry in Costa Rica Says:

    ModHairKen, exactly. Best trade every

Kyle, JPP was not a FA. Licht traded a 3rd rd pick for him to the Giants. As ModHair said, “best trade ever”

  12. Buc You Says:

Gruden was the best trade ever. JPP is either #2 or #3 depending on where you rank Keyshawn. Considering the price tag for all 3, this is easily the best value trade.

  13. Rob in Land O Lakes Says:

Ok Joe, I will help and take a grab at the low hanging fruit:

How does JPP order Two beers?

    He holds up one hand!

I’ll be here all week. Please make sure to tip your waiters and bartenders.
