Seven Year Streak Ends

October 18th, 2020

Finally!

It’s the streak and the stat you won’t read about at Buccaneers.com.

But it perhaps was the most defining reality of the last seven years of Bucs football.

Today’s thrilling beating of the Packers ended Tampa Bay’s seven-year streak of winning three games or less in the first half the regular season.

Not only was that an embarrassment, it was a horrible blow to the psyche of Bucs fans. Just a killer to be have your soul crushed year after year by Halloween.

Now the Bucs are 4-2. The culture is officially changed.

Joe’s not sure who to thank most, but Tom Brady has to get the biggest nod. Bucs coaches and officials told the world that Brady would revitalize and flat out fix many of the organizational warts.

He has.

Joe can’t wait to see what’s next.

Tonight, Joe’s giving a long-awaited middle finger to the 3-5 start.

And the Patroits have a losing record…
    Brady is GOAT

i’d like to congratulate the defense, great pressure, great coverage, excellent play overall. I listened to the press conference with Jamal Dean and was extremely impressed by his knowledge and insight. I had a strong feeling he was going to have a good game. I believe he and Davis are two of the best corners in the game. I like Vea but honestly with Nacho and Gholston up front they bring a different “energy” and I’m encouraged that they’re finally blitzing Devin White. Offensively it was great to have Godwin back he really opens things up for the other skill players. On to Las Vegas!

Thank you defense, and thank you TB12! We had great defenses in the past, but never a quarterback like Tom to go along with the D. Let’s roll!

  6. Youngbucs Says:

Joe send a middle finger to all those offensive turnovers at home also just saying 😂

  7. SufferingSince76 Says:

No penalties for only the 2nd time in Buc history!!! Awesome and impressive!

  8. #1bucfan Says:

No turnovers. Better chance of winning games.

A complete game. Been waiting to see what happens we hit on all cylinders.

That guy at Sports Illustrated who had the Bucs 3rd in the power rankings knew what he was talking about.

We have proven we can beat anyone when we aren’t beating ourselves.

    Go Bucs!

    In BA I Trust!

Watch the tape again and you will see some terrible play calling still. Inexcusable really.

I am happy with the win and we are trending in the right direction but there is still a ton to correct.

Let’s not get too overexcited about one win. Enjoy tonight and turn the page.

[If you claim in the 35 games RoJo played before getting his second 100-yard game of his career he was a Pro Bowler, you are both full it and a troll and it is you sir who have no concept of running backs. — Joe]

Ndog has to be #3s mom right? Player first, wow.

  20. O'Neilbuc Says:

This is a defense lead team just like back in the day. I know yall want to give Brady all the credit but our runningback and our defense is leading us right now . Brady had only 71 yards when we were up 21 to 10 . With Jamies we never ran the ball this much . And this is a different playbook . Jamies never played with a number 1 defense and yall know it . So miss me with the Brady is the reason why we are winning . That’s why I say Rosen can learn this offense and we can keep winning . We have to keep Bowls!!!!

  21. Kris Says:

When are you going to stop calling RayJ the Den of depression? I think it’s time

  22. Rayjay1122 Says:

Ndog, it was a complete team effort and yes, that includes the QB, but had it of been Winston you would say the win was all about the QB and you know I am right.

  23. Buc4ever Says:

No penalties that I can recall? Defense was on fire. Offensive play calling was not very good. Vaughn still can’t catch. Brady gets it done when he has to with no INTs. Wow what a change to have a QB that doesn’t do boneheaded things. This team can only get better. Go Bucs!

  24. O'Neilbuc Says:

I love our feature with this defense we are set a defense . We probably need a DT but that’s about it . Next year in the draft we need to go defensive line or offensive line in the first round . Todd Bowls must come back next year . We have to pay him what he wants . This reminds me of the 2002 bucs so far.

  25. TomTom Says:

Npuppy thinks Jamoist is a pro bowl QB this season. Someone please explain that Madden football doesn’t count. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

  26. Sorryjackchuckiesback Says:

This team has had the talent for a long time they just need the belief!! Brady, the coaching staff, THEMSELVES and a team effort after they rid themselves of the guy that would lose these games for them by having a bad day at the WORST POSSIBLE TIME and now they believe they can win!! Football is 90% mental!! All these guys are talented at this level

  27. El Buco Realisto Is a Dicko and NDogTurd is a Crybaby and TheBucsAnus and LovesJameisTighties are Trolls Says:

    NDogTurd, FU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  28. Soggy Says:

YES YES YES Great game, all team effort.. we set a new standard for now on… proud day for the bucs org and true fans..Sorry NDOG = NOT…

  29. O'Neilbuc Says:

We have the number 1 defense lets gooooo!!!!!!

  30. Youngbucs Says:

Oneilbucs and ndog still think it’s about yards 😂😂😂😂

  31. O'Neilbuc Says:

Youngbucs I never said it was about yards that’s been my point the pass 5 years . You can win a championship with a good defense and a running game . Your chances are better that way than a good offense with a bad defense regardless of who the quarterback is . We don’t need a quarterback to be a hall of famer all we need is a running game and a game manager at quarterback with our defense and we can win a championship .

  32. Buccos Says:

You think the Patriots might want to go back in time and resign Tom Brady. I think I am going to go to one of their sites and see what they are saying. They must be sick to watch Brady show them that he was the reason that they were so good for so long. Bill Belicheck cannot win without TB12!

  33. O'Neilbuc Says:

Buccos our defense won and our running game was the reason why we won !!

  34. O'Neilbuc Says:

Brady only threw for a 166 yards !!!

  35. james west Says:

what’s going to be the new moniker for the den of depression joe? i hope it’s a good one, maybe you can have a contest for a new nickname for ray jay, and throw in a jersey of choice for the winner!!!

  36. Ge Fit Says:

Good luck Tampa..you have a great QB we miss him at the zPatriots.
