Scotty Miller Talks Antonio Brown

October 28th, 2020

The leading receiver of our beloved 2020 Buccaneers has spoken.

Scotty Miller is the top dog in Tampa Bay’s stable of wideouts with 365 yards receiving. And he’s catching a whopping two-thirds of his targets, which is damn impressive considering all the deep throws coming his way.

The 2019 sixth-round pick out of Bowling Green found himself as a guest on NFL Network yesterday and was asked about the Bucs’ newest receiver, the guy with the Hall of Fame resume and quite a Hall of Shame body of work.

“We’re just excited to have him,” Miller said of Antonio Brown.

“He’s one of the best to ever do it at the receiver position. So he’s going to help us all get better matchups. He’s going to help Mike out. You know, it’s going to be really difficult to double team anybody when you have all of us out there.”

Miller went on to call Brown “one of the hardest working guys around,” and Miller said he has tons of respect for Brown, who also was a sixth-round pick out of the MAC.

The Bucs have a supremely unselfish receiving corps, per Miller, and Mike Evans leads the way when it comes to caring only about winning.

Next week, Brown will be released by the NFL from his eight-game suspension. His booting from the league was connected to a felony assault and battery of a moving company truck driver. Brown plead no contest and currently is on probation from the State of Florida. Brown still has sexual assault allegations and a related civil suit hanging over his head.

Brown will practice with Miller and friends next week, assuming he cruises through the NFL COVID-19 protocols and his move to Tampa doesn’t upset him too much.

Scotty Miller doesn’t even know AB is bear to replace him 😂

  2. TAMPABAY55 Says:

Bucs will run 4 WR 1TE 1RB sets now…. Scotty will still get his touches and Brady will ball out

  3. Paul Says:

Still showing no CLASS in how you treat the GOAT!!

What a Joke still using that disrespectful Moniker!

Hey JOE do you think it is showing Respect to Brady or it’s just so darn funny and witty that you keep using it?

Pathetic and CHILDISH and UNPROFESSIONAL and CHILDISH!

    Ummmm…….am I missing something here?????

Scotty Miller is ‘NOTHING” compared to AB.

Hey…….I’m no AB fan………… I find AB a disgusting team destroyer……..but in regards to talent wise……but EVERYONE knows AB plays with hall of fame talent.

Scotty miller talking AB is a joke IMO……………..

  5. Discobeef Says:

Paul, you must be new here. Have a seat, drink a Big Storm and relax guy.

  6. El_Buc941 Says:

You know whats a damn joke Hoe is that someway somehow during this great winning season our Bucs arr having people are still trash talking players and have negative spit to say instead of enjoying this memorable season in which we could be the first ever team to play a superbowl home game.

  7. BUC CHEEKS Says:

Scotty Miller is killing it for us!!! We didn’t pay Perriman after he got red hot at the end of last year and now we have Scooter ripping it up for almost nothing. Got a bargain on AB who can be sent packing for almost nothing if he acts a fool. STACKED AT THE POSITION, what’s not to like?! Am I missing something?!

  8. Steven007 Says:

Anthem, did noodle arm Miller, oh sorry wrong guy, say anything but respectful things about AB? He knows who he is and he said so. Your take is ridiculous as usual.

Good to see Scotty hang on to the ball more. It definitely helps when the QB hands you the ball in the corner of the endzone. Thing of beauty Tom. Scotty is not going anywhere but Cyril, I think he might be looking for a job the moment AB can practice.Hey Joe just maybe there is a certain Stampeder working at the Red Velvet Lounge that can get him a job. lol GO BUCS!!!!

  11. August 1976 Buc Says:

Why are people getting so uptight about monikers. You know Joe respects Tom. Just look at the posts. Maybe you can get by the obvious sarcasm about the G O A T. For me it is just Joe being Joe in a free country. Whatever, it sure is not stopping the Gold Standard at QB, Mr 6 Rings, and possible league MVP again but this time for the Bucs. This team has been very bad for most of their history, and this blog has been a bright spot lol something i usually check daily since I found it back in 2012. So we all Know Tom is the G O A T. and so does Joe lol. And again Tom is the Gold Standard at QB. So if Joe just wants to be Joe whatever. This is the most fun as a Buc fan in the last 17 years since they won the Super Bowl and sarcasm does not mess anything up. Like Warren Sapp said in the Super Bowl ” Dem BAD BUCS IS HERE” NFC CHAMPIONSHIP ROLLS THROUGH TAMPA!!!!GO BUCS!!!!!

  12. Boston Boy Says:

Getting AB was great foresight by BA and Licht. Scottie will raise him game even higher.

  13. Usedtocould Says:

Paul, are you from Boston or actually a member of Brady’s family?

  14. Tackleblockwin Says:

    Joe,

Do you think the Bucs will have a press conference for AB to answer questions about joining the Bucs etc.

  15. Jaymiss Pick6 Again Says:

“So he’s going to help us all get better matchups.” This is gonna be awesome!

    AND

“and his move to Tampa doesn’t upset him too much” What the heck does that mean Joe??

  16. LVMYBUCS Says:

Miller isn’t going anywhere this is just another DeShawn Jackson situation if he plays ball he stays if not bye. Even if he plays ball he may want to go elsewhere next season and get paid.

  17. Doctor Stroud Says:

I think that it’s more likely that AB might replace Mickens rather than Miller.

  18. Mike Says:

I would expect AB and Miller to alternate in 3 WR sets (once Godwin and Evans are healthy).

  19. AlteredEgo Say: Your comment is awaiting moderation. Says:

Godwin’s surgical finger IS the explanation for why AB was signed!
That and SM gets bumped, thrown off his route very easily due to his lightweight, hopefully next off season he can put on another 10 lbs of man weight

  20. 813bucboi Says:

    relax fans….

BL is the best OC in the NFC…

    in BL we trust!!!!

    GO BUCS!!!!!

  21. mark2001 Says:

Anthem…Scotty was just saying the Christian thing to say. Sure he wants the touches…but is smart enough to know that kicking and screaming over the AB signing will do him no good. And that AB is a one year deal, most likely. And that he can learn a ton from him. Why would you have a problem with that?

  22. Tampabaybucfan Says:

    MAGA “MAKE ANTONIO GREAT AGAIN”

    Choose your 3 WR Sets

    Evans, Godwin, Miller
    Evans, Godwin, Johnson
    Evans, Godwin, Watson
    Evans, Godwin, Mickens
Evans, Godwin, Joe’s terrible nutcase, cancer Antonio Brown

Joe, after trashing him for 2 weeks, how about a poll……(tainted jury pool)

  23. SufferingSince76 Says:

The only joke on this site is you, Paul. Get over yourself.

  24. Tampabaybucfan Says:

    Oh….I forgot Evans, Godwin, Grayson

  25. Joe Says:

Do you think the Bucs will have a press conference for AB to answer questions about joining the Bucs etc.

Guessing they may but there has been no announcement.

  26. Joe Says:

    Thank you 1976!

  27. Gofortheface30 Says:

Imagine a 4WR Set with Evans/Godwin/Miller//AB with Fournette in backfield, and some guy named Gronk. GAME OVER. Look forget 30 points, if/when all guys are healthy, you’re talking about an offense that cannot be stopped. Best Bucs offense of all time? That’s cute, how about the most loaded offense the entire NFL has ever seen. Yeah yeah I know a lot of things can derail this (like injuries) but we need to enjoy this moment. The Bucs could be on the verge of something thats….Golden State Warriors level of dominance if they continue to put it altogether. A lot of us have been commenting on here for years and years since JBF started and apathy rules the day always. We’re always sad and talking draft right about now and rightfully so. Well, guys, were now not only relevant but we are by far the most talked about premier, exciting team in league. Let’s enjoy this

  28. August 1976 Buc Says:

*Evans, Godwin, AB * And you know they are going to go 4 wide with Miller. And Holy Gronkamoli they will have 5 out too. GO BUCS!!!! NIGHTMARE ON DALE MABRY NOW SHOWING!!! (week 9)

  29. August 1976 Buc Says:

Just keepin it real Joe, lol GO BUCS!!!!

  30. Elita Vita Says:

How can you not root for Scotty Miller? He’s a hard working guy. A 6th round pick playing with a 6th Rd pick QB and is indisputably improving as the season goes on. He doesn’t let his 5’10” frame make him feel less of a teammate next to Gronk 6’6”; Evans 6’5”; Godwin 6’1” or Brady 6’4”. More importantly, if Brady wants him, he’s going nowhere.

Give it a rest, dude. It’s a joke… kinda like your inability to take a joke. Your last line describes you to a TEE… pathetic, childish, unprofessional.. and CHILDISH (again?)…. worry less about Joe and try learning some new vocabulary.

Sad thing is, I don’t find what Joe says to be the least bit funny, more of an unnecessary space filler… but it’s his page, his site, his article… you don’t like it? STFU and leave. Create your own website… maybe PaulBradyWorshipper.com?

Imagine you can only have five eligible receivers on the field at a time.

  33. Gofortheface30 Says:

Brandon – whoops my mistake. I should know better. But please, feel free to keep overlooking the point to be a pedantic tw-at instead

  34. Bucsfanman Says:

Miller has been an unexpected surprise. To compare him to AB is unfair considering their careers. I think we are just scratching the surface with Scotty at this point.
Also, AB hasn’t played in a while. I am not expecting him to be at 100% when he starts. (See Gronk!)

  35. mark2001 Says:

Joe…what good will come from a press conference? He will receive a load of hot questions and not be able to answer them on the advice of an attorney. I think it more likely he doesn’t have a conference, and only participates in interviews after games, specifically discussing on the field issues and plays.

NFL loves press conferences because it is their opportunity to control a message and get coverage, no matter the player. There is a reason NFL teams individually spend a fortune each year on manpower and equipment to basically create their own media outlet.

  37. Chris@Apple Roof Cleaning Tampa Says:

Some Moving Companies are well known for their bait and switch tactics, and rudeness.
They will low ball a move, then jack the price, and if you dont go along with them, they will hold your stuff hostage, and try to charge you storage!
I hope Antonio beat that Azz good, because they probably tried to screw him.

  38. UKBuccaneer Says:

If AB balls out and stays out of trouble, I presume Joe will admit that he was wrong and it proved to be a solid decision to bring him into the locker room.

  39. SlyPirate Says:

Scott Miller runs deep routes. I recall AB killing a lot of teams by taking under routes the distance. The two should play will together.

  40. DavidBigBucsFan99 Says:

You best believe if Scotty even tries to talk to AB he’ll look at him and say ” Who are you???? He’ll look right past him like he’s not even there.

  41. Doctor_Berto Says:

I don’t like the AB signing but MAKE A POLL!
