Targets for tomorrow.

Joe still loves the answer from park-violating, home-invading, NFLPA-ignoring Bucs quarterback Tom Brady.

Earlier this week when Brady was asked if it is frustrating not always having healthy receivers so he can develop a rhythm with them, Brady replied he looks forward to working more with reserve receivers in order to get them ready to produce in games.

That, friends, is a winner.

So with Chris Godwin out for Sunday, and possibly Scotty Miller, who might Brady target without Pro Bowler Godwin and Brady’s new BFF since arriving in Tampa Bay, Miller?

James Palmer of NFL Network seems to think two guys will get targeted a whole lot tomorrow by Brady.

One is Justin Watson. Watson at times flashes but also gets a flare-up of the dropsies at times.

Another guy who should receive quite a few footballs is foot-rubbing tight end Rob Gronkowski, coming off his best game with the Bucs.

Even Bucco Bruce Arians said earlier this week on SiriusXM NFL Radio that Gronk was just now getting into football shape.

So all of Palmer’s commentary below adds up.

Also in the NFL Network video below, the “Good Morning Football” gang of Kay Adams, Kyle Brandt, Nate Burleson and closet Bucs fan Peter Schrager discuss if injuries to the Bucs’ receivers are a big deal or no big deal.

If they double ME all day then Gronk and OJ. If they don’t, it will be ME

We may be seeing the “Pick your poison” theory being validated. Go ahead, take away one guy. Fine, TB12 will roast you with another weapon. Might as well ask the opposition “Would you rather be shot, or hung”. Outcome will be the same either way. Bucs are legit now and are having success despite a less than full compliment of offensive weaponry. Once every player is off the injury report look out NFL!
    Go Bucs!

It bothers me just a little when everyone starts jumping on the Bucs bandwagon. I know it’s different this year, but can’t help shake all the superstitions from years past. With regards to Godwin and Miller (probably) being out, no big deal. I think Brady’s got it right. Evans, Gronk and OJ are still on the field and it provides a good opportunity for getting the backup receivers involved in the game and tuned up for the playoff run, which I’m feeling very confident about now.

I wish I could feel sorry for all the whiners about offense rankings, yards stats for WR’s and RB’s. On second thought no I don’t.

    ME stat line last week.

    2 receptions
    2 yards
    2 TD’s

    Bucs win! Suck it whiners!

    In BA I Trust!

I’ve heard it said more than once that Brate has the best hands on the team? Is he fast enough to line up at slot?

  6. Darin Says:

    Beej
He could line up anywhere. You can run plenty of routes from the slot. I dont see Arians doing it much tho. I’d definitely like to see Brate get some more playing time tho

This is a chance for the rookie Johnson to get some catches under his belt, along with Watson. Hopefully, they are ready.

I expect a sloppy(weather wise) game tomorrow. Heavy dose of running plays -vs- passing. Here’s Rojo’s chance to prove his worth.
Definitely like the idea of developing the second level talent so that injuries don’t slow us down.

“Todd Bowles will win the game again

    He will be 4-0

Brady is a game manager * under BA/BL twins offense

20-12 Bucs win with all the pts from chargers turnovers and short field

Bucs offense equals square peg in a round hole

I know that he missed most if not all of the off season workouts, but I’m expecting Tyler Johnson to show something on Sunday. I don’t think that I’ve ever heard so much hype from a lot of folks for a 5th round pick since I’ve been watching football.

New to this site. Why does JOE (still) call Tom Brady aka the GOAT?

At this point? Mostly because it bothers YOU!

Back ups word of advice to you, don’t let the ball hit you in the face mask

  14. DavidBigBucsFan99 Says:

Paul its Joe’s form of satire. He’s having fun with it because it’s his site so just let it go. We are a dime a dozen and he’s holding a $20 bill. Just ignore it because Brady is still just a man.

  15. Paul Says:

Sounds like a self-esteem issue. Thank you for the Priceless advice.
