“I Was Wrong”

October 28th, 2020

Confession.

“Forgive me Father Dungy for I have sinned… “

That’s basically what BSPN talking head Max Kellerman was doing this week. He was at confession. Only he wasn’t talking to a priest in a glorified porta-potty with wood paneling speaking through a speakeasy password window.

Kellerman took to the set of “First Take,” seen and heard on BSPN weekday mornings, and offered an apology to the viewing audience.

(Or if you want to get kinky, pretend Molly Qerim is a priest. She likely has the powers to get men to confess to all sorts of things — and enjoy the penance.)

What is Kellerman confessing? That he got so much grief from people at BSPN for hollering for months that park-violating, home-invading, NFLPA-ignoring, down-forgetting Bucs quarterback Tom Brady was toast. Finished. Kaput.

The hate he endured got so bad he even got screaming’ Stephen A. Smith to stop talking to him.

No, Kellerman said, it’s clear the way Brady has ripped up defenses the past few weeks he’s not done. He’s still elite.

Brady, by the way, in his last five games has 15 touchdowns and one pick. No Bucs quarterback has ever done this so Joe doesn’t know exactly how to process this.

You can see and hear Kellerman’s apology in the BSPN video below.

I think Brady is well aware of what it takes to succeed….similar to Manning, they know when they cant compete at the necessary level that they are accustomed to.

  2. Cannon Says:

I’m curious, how do Brady’s numbers compare to his best ever season?

I didn’t follow him much in New England, so I don’t have a frame of reference… but it sure seems like he’s lighting things up for us here in Tampa.

  3. ClodHopper Says:

Just another October of people admitting they wrong about Brady in September. It’s a five year old tradition.

This guy in particular tho is a dunce. His iq isn’t high enough for grocery bagger. If he was a dishwasher at a restaurant he’d always be asking for a refresher on how to sort silverware. The kind of guy that will drive a car for 7 years and still can’t remember what side the gas tank is on.

  4. Bird Says:

You know who else was wrong?

A certain persons in hiding right now
    15 tds and 1 pick
Its laughable how much of a difference this team is now
    Go noles!

    I mean go bucs !

  5. SufferingSince76 Says:

And this is why most of the trolls are silent and we appreciate it. Suck on it, haters (and JW love children)!!!

  6. August 1976 Buc Says:

lol lol lol New England fans have been hating on Max for years for his contrarianism role on First Take lol. But Brady is playing lights out, straight up ballin. So Mad Max is forced to concede. lol lol lol All the TV Talking head playing the contrary role are eating serious crow lately. That includes those that post on here lol. GO BUCS!!!! BRADY THE GOLD STANDARD BABY AT QB!!!!!

  7. geno711 Says:

Glad some more people are coming around to Brady.

Let’s hope it is not just an October shine and that this will continue into the winter and next year!

    Go Buc’s!

  8. anderson Fa Gonzalez Says:

that dude Max Kellerman is one of the biggest idiots in sports media

  9. '79 Defense Says:

I watched a lot of those segments earlier in the week with Kellerman, Stephen A, Keyshawn, and Molly. They were all very funny and great entertainment.

I used to not care for Stephen so much but he’s got a good sense of humor– and it’s a lot easier to like him when he’s talking up the Bucs.

  10. 813bucboi Says:

    stick to boxing Max…

    stop hiding JW lovers!!!

    GO BUCS!!!!

  11. Bucamania Says:

The guy is amazing. Brady is now rated 3rd in PFF QBR only behind Wilson and Rodgers.

  12. ocala Says:

This guy regularly unleashes his extremist political views on ESPN. He is one of the main reasons I quit watching anything other than sporting events on ESPN.

  13. 1sparkybuc Says:

I’m fine with the Bucs winning no matter who plays QB. Jameis was 5-3 the last half of 2019. He would be 5-1 or 6-0 with this defense, this ground attack, and this kicker. We would have won the Saints game with Jameis because he knew the offense and was familiar with their defense. A much more mobile Jameis would not have been held to one TD against the Bears. Jameis was a Buc from the very beginning. A win with him would always be a Buccaneer win. A win is a win is a win, but a win with Brady will always have a Patriot taint to it. For so many years the ONLY bright spot about the Bucs was the QB, Jameis Winston. One year with a decent ground attack. Four and a half years with a putrid defense. Five years with high school level special teams. So the team starts to show signs of life on defense, and the Bucs dump Jameis. They could have remained competitive for another ten years with him. Brady says he wants to play another five years. Good luck with that. I hope we win the Super Bowl in our own stadium. That will make what comes next worth it.

  14. thisisouryear!! Says:

    What are you smoking isparky??

  15. thisisouryear!! Says:

I was never a fan of Jameis. I thought Brady was too old and we wouldn’t get much time out of him. What I didn’t realize is how good he is. Not only that, but the leadership role he commands. I’m sure he’s the reason penalties have disappeared. The team has bought in. It’s a different day in Buc land and it’s wonderful. Licht got Arians and Arians got Brady. Have to hand it to these guys. I was wondering the other day how do go so long between int’s like Brady has. It’s amazing and he has done it his entire career. Go Bucs!!

  16. Jaymiss Pick6 Again Says:

Ohhhhh…I am so pining for the for the glory days of Jaymiss and the awesom pick sixes.

  17. Youngbucs Says:

All the trolls on tv look silly this week during their segments. Max nick Shannon and rob Parker all look stupid it’s hilarious. Even the trolls here especially oneilbucs and ndog are in hiding well oneilbucs is still complaining just on other platforms 😂.

  18. Buc1987 Says:

1sparkybuc…Jameis out priced himself out of a starting job…

He wasn’t worth the money his agent was asking….no one just simply let him go.

  19. RICHARD weeks Says:

Sparky forgot how many interceptions jameis had..
Also how many games jameis ripped our hearts out
    Smoke another one sparky!!

  20. 40TDs Says:

Can somebody check on Realist and Puppy dog?

I’m pretty sure hibernation began. Someone p[lease check their Den of Depression!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And you can also “Check The Sheet!!!!!!!!”

  21. Chris@Apple Roof Cleaning Tampa Says:

That was cool for Max Kellerman to admit he was wrong.

  22. HeyItsAdam Says:

Kellerman is a stooge. You think he left a divot talking about Brady, you ought to read the nonsense he sputters when he dips his toe into politics.

  23. August 1976 Buc Says:

Jameis was the best player for both teams on game day, not good if you want to win more than lose. Pick six to end his career in Tampa. Jameis played his way out of Tampa Bay. 15 td to 1 int in last 5 for Brady. Jameis never got near that. Hope he does well, just not against the Bucs. GO BUCS!!!!

  24. Stanglassman Says:

I totally agree Sparky. People act like this was the same team Jameis played for the last 5 years. They seem to forget how bad the defense was the first 4 1/2 years. The Offense had glaring problems too. No right side of the OL and running game to keep defenses honest.

  25. SOEbuc Says:

Lol. Nick next. At least Shannon and Acho played the NFL environment and they’re coming around like everyone else.

  26. 1sparkybuc Says:

I’m not forgetting the interceptions or the fumbles lost, or the fact that some of those turnovers cost the team a win. The fact that too many here ignore is that no QB would have a winning record with the team and coaches Jameis Winston was stuck with. The franchise sucked and Jameis still gave it everything he had. He never quit. The effort was always there. He didn’t curse the Bucs like Doug Williams did on the way out the door, and I don’t believe he demanded to be paid. I don’t believe the Bucs made him an offer. I’ve been a fan of the team since before there was a team. I’m running out of time. Starting over from scratch when Brady leaves is not a viable option for me. Continuity with Jameis was because I might actually live long enough to see it. Just for the record, I don’t smoke anything, and if I ever drink, it’s always in moderation. I like being able to remember when I have a good time, and not regretting what I might have done. Don’t believe in any religion, just common sense.

  27. miken Says:

@sparky… if you were right,Jameis would have had more than 2 back up offers … so either youare right or the 32 gms and 32coaches in the league are

  28. 813bucboi Says:

    JW IS A BUST!!!!!!!

    end of story!!!!

    GO BUCS!!!!

  29. Wesley Says:

This fool is wrong a LOT.

  30. Rod Munch Says:

Kellerman is such a leftwing white guiltbag. He’d do best to show everyone how sorry he is by jumping off the top of the Skyway.

That’s just my hot take, it’s shocking, I’m a shocking.

  31. Paul Says:

Want to see a Disrespectful Classless Childish Moniker that was not even funny the First time? This is what you call the GOAT? Why again?

    park-violating, home-invading, NFLPA-ignoring, down-forgetting Bucs quarterback Tom Brady.

Hey JOE does BRADY know who you are yet? Tell him what you call him when you get the chance-I am sure he will just love it!! Bush league low class is what it is.

  32. NashvilleBuc Says:

Paul, it’s a joke. Joe does this to everyone. Read his content – Joe loves him some Tom Brady.

  33. 1sparkybuc Says:

I’m certain there are Patriot fans that still root for Brady in appreciation for all he did for their franchise. I appreciate the effort Jameis Winston gave the Bucs. I will root for his success against every team in the league with the exception of the Bucs. I will never root for the Bucs to lose, not even for a better draft position.

  34. Stanglassman Says:

Sparky don’t let those fools get you down. They have been thought to hate. I feel the same way you do. Jameis will be a top Qb in this league again if and when he get another chance. Nobody was winning here when he was Qb. Simple people need something simple or someone in this case to blame.

  35. O'Neilbuc Says:

Right now saints fans are now asking for Jamies to start . I have friends that are saints fans from New Orleans and been fans before Brees even got their and the city is asking for Jamies to start . The media has said the same thing not all of them but it’s been some . So this hold false narrative and lie about Jamies being a third string quarterback is a big lie . I know yall want him to fail because of the hate from most of you and the others because we let him go and you don’t want another bad mistake and he become a great quarterback .

  36. O'Neilbuc Says:

Robmunch why do you call him that because he stands for what’s right for black people 🤔 I’m tired of some of you white people hating other white people who speaks the truth about how black people are treated in this country . And yall love to say they are apologizing for being white . That’s the been the problem with this country since the beginning and the ending of slavery and even now .

  37. O'Neilbuc Says:

Youngbucs I love our defense and Brady haven’t look good against a good defense.

  38. Youngbucs Says:

So Ndog is sparkybuc now ok got it 10 years where have we heard that before smh

  39. Sorryjackchuckiesback Says:

The problem with older QBs (and you have seen it in Brees for at least 2 years now) is can they make it through the whole season!! I don’t care who you are those injuries, this nagging little injuries you get through the year do not heal as fast as they used to!! They get worn out!! The protection will help in that he’s not taking those hits that cause that… But neither does Brees!! That is when you know a QB is about to hit that cliff… How did he finish last year!!! Did he have a big drop off…. Brees is the ultimate proof of that because I’ve never seen is show as prevalent as with him the last few years

  40. Buczilla Says:

Kellerman is a self-righteous buffoon (who knows his boxing), but be did the right thing. Now Wright and Russini should apologize to our entire team. 😜
