Hard To Bring Down

October 17th, 2020

Punishing.

Here is something Joe never expected to write two short weeks ago.

“Ronald Jones is tough to bring down.”

Yes, seriously, Ronald Jones, who for 30-odd games looked much more like an AAF running back than an NFL running back, has transformed himself into a productive, physical runner.

How so? Well, a Twitter account that pumps out NFL stats has RoJo tied with the fifth-most broken tackles among NFL running backs.

This is a stunning transformation in Joe’s eyes. RoJo has done such a good job turning around his career that Joe is all for feeding RoJo the ball tomorrow to work over the Packers’ shaky run defense.

If you want to knock Joe for not being a believer in RoJo, knock yourself out. You know who else wasn’t a believer? The Bucs.

Think about it: If the Bucs were sold on RoJo prior to the season, they had a funny way of showing it. Remember, the Bucs spent serious cash and draft capital to bring in three new running backs.

Good for RoJo!

Yeah we picked OJ over Cook. Yeah they really set Jameis up for success didn’t they?

  2. JonJohn Says:

NDog shut up you don’t know anything. Even Cooks family members said they were worried about him if he stayed in FL. Smh

  3. Youngbucs Says:

Ndog stfu if we had cook you would cry tht the draft an injury prone rb your excuses are endless. When we win tomorrow you’ll cry about why we won the gm 🤡. Winston is a glorified cheerleader

  4. Youngbucs Says:

Cult follower keep following you’re leader got you fools thinking winston gone break the bank next year 😂.

  5. Jerk04 Says:

Any person that gives them selves the nick name ending with anything dog tells you all you need to know about the tool. You’re nickname says all we need know. Your comments just cement what we could easily assume

  6. Tampabuscsbro Says:

God Ndog can literally turn about ANYTHING into Jameis Winston. It’s impressive really. Also WHY DIDN’T WE DRAFT TJ WATT?

WHY DIDN’T WE DRAFT TRE WHITE?

WHY DIDN’T WE DRAFT RYAN RAMCZYK

there are so many FSU goon squad people in here it kills me.

  7. Swampbuc Says:

A nice two man punch of Rojo and Fournette. How about two 100 yard running backs like a few of the days of old Alstott and Dunn.

  8. Defense Rules Says:

It’s so nice to hear you hop onto the RoJo Express Joe. And to think he’s only carried the rock 74 times in 5 games (as in 15 times a game). Shameful that the Bucs haven’t used his 4.9 YPC average more effectively to wear down defenses (and keep our own off the field).

And just think what kind of a 2-headed monster we’ll have when Leonard Fournette (5.1 YPC) heals up properly & gets back into the lineup. Between rushes & play-action passes, those 2 could just about represent your whole attack. Bucs have been averaging just shy of 70 offensive snaps per game. No reason that the 2 of them shouldn’t get 30-32 rushes between them (45% rushing) plus several swing passes out of the backfield. Hey, have to save a little something for Evans, Godwin, Miller, Brate & Gronk.

  9. buc15 Says:

Yes Defense, we could have a special combo. The real question is will BL figure out how to utilize our weapons they way we should. So far I’m not so sure. Our offense never seems to get in rythm and the play calling never seems to fool anyone.

  10. dmatt Says:

Five of the ten RBs are from the SEC. Wow!

  11. BillyBucFan Says:

What a sad excuse for a life NDOG.
Excuses are Paramount to your existence.

  12. Godlovesbucs Says:

Ona % basis i think he is behind only CEH and cook. Thats pretty crazy, he reaply seems like its all making sense for him back there.

  13. SOEbuc Says:

He put on ten pounds of muscle and picked up an awesome RT.

  14. JimmyJack Says:

Does anybody wanna talk about Winston?

  15. Jerry Jones Says:

Ndog, your ignorance is bliss. You never have a sensible argument, you consistently whine about subjects that get shot down left and right. There’s a reason your boyfriend JW isn’t a starter in the NFL after throwing over 5k yards…HE’S A LIABILITY, just like you.

  16. Anonymous Says:

The next 3 games will either ascend us to the Play offs or topple us into mode desperation…Well Cheeseheads “This is where we fight”

  17. adam from ny Says:

he should be higher on the list because he wasn’t getting the ball much the first 3 weeks…

less carries equals less opportunities to break tackles…

but let’s be real here joe…

    just admit it…

he is sort of running like a little earl campbell…

it’s almost a crime to compare anyone to earl campbell…

that’s why i say “a little earl campbell”

    so admit it joe..

shades of earl in tampa (just a little)

  18. adam from ny Says:

    rojo is running hard af…

  19. Joe in Michigan Says:

Rojo has had more rushing yards than Cook in 2 of the 5 weeks, so far. Still, the “Spilled Milkers” will cry about Bucs draft picks til the day they die.

  20. Lamarcus Says:

I’m still not sold on him. I watch too many of Rojo college highlights and only think what could of been.

  21. DavidBigBucsFan99 Says:

Funny thing is a lot of his smaller yardage runs where the line didn’t open up any holes for him were mainly done by his sheer will alone. If they would’ve fed him on that 4th & 1 at Chicago I believe we would’ve won, but the HC spent so long not believing in him they didn’t trust in him even though he was running rough shod on them.

Most coaches when they have no running game working use the short passing game instead, but it seems like Arians even when his run game is going on will still pass even when that’s not working

  22. Joe in Michigan Says:

Lamarcus: What could’ve been from watching college highlights? That was the Pac 12, he’s in the NFL now. I do wish Rojo’s pass catching ability would improve, but I’m not holding my breath.

  23. NDog is an idiot Says:

    NDOG is a Pu$&y!!

  24. SlyPirate Says:

Let’s be happy for Rojo. He looked great last game.

For those who live in the past, there was a reason we didn’t draft Cook and it had nothing to do with football. Go back to his draft notes. There was also a reason we picked O.J. Look at his stats from both National Champ games.

Son of a biscuit NDOG S-T-F-U about Jameis and stop hijacking threads that have NOTHING to do about Jameis with your slobbering love affair over this kid. You need lots of help!

  26. Architek Says:

    1987,
Amen brother now go wash your mouth with soap and your hands and put a mask on Hahahahahaha!!!

Thank you for saying what everyone is saying and thinking.

NDog is either a sociopath or infatuated with Winston.

Newsflash: Jameis Winston is gone gone and it is highly probable (damn near impossible he will be back)!

  27. Architek Says:

    I’m proud of RoJo!

  28. SB Says:

Is Dalvin Cook Playing this weekend?. Or next?

How bout’ them Rays! Keeping the Trifecta dream alive baby. Bucs better up their game and keep pace with the Bolts and Rays. Good time to be a Tampa sports fan, a sure sign of the end times!

Yeah and this is coming from a real Jerk.

  31. Jason Says:

Rojo finally has his “grown man” body.

Ndog needs a visit by SKIZM_ADMIN.

  32. #1bucfan Says:

Sorry NDOG cook is very talented but he’s a lot like oj. He can’t stay healthy.

  33. Brandon Says:

I’m not a baseball guy so this is a shock to me… anyone notice fat retired Pedro Martinez is a dead ringer for our very own, Captain Interception, Jameis Winston?
