COVID Hits The Giants

October 29th, 2020

Now it is the Giants.

[UPDATE: 10:55 a.m.] Here we go again.

The Giants released a statement this morning that a player tested positive for The Sickness. So for the second straight week, the Bucs are on virus watch.

The Bucs, of course, are scheduled to travel to New Jersey to play the Giants on Monday night.

All of the player’s close contacts were identified and were informed to remain home today. Those individuals will participate in meetings remotely. We are working closely with the NFL’s Chief Medical Officer regarding next protocol steps.

Last week the Raiders sent home their starting offensive linemen for the week when right tackle Trent Brown was popped.

No details on when or if the Bucs-Giants game could be postponed have been released. But keep those Big Storm Brewery beers iced up. You may just have to drink them a day or two later than expected.

[UPDATE: 10:55 a.m.]It seems an offensive lineman is the carrier this week as well, per Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.

    Ignorant Flu comment. MAGA

  2. bojim Says:

Good thoughts to those affected. Still early but Monday would be nice.

  3. BA4President Says:

I read that one of the biggest fears of the NFL is that players on teams that fall out of playoff contention will become more lax with following the league’s covid rules.

  4. 813bucboi Says:

    oh boy….

    GO BUCS!!!!!

  5. Durango 95 Says:

Desperate for an excuse . They scared.

  6. NashvilleBuc Says:

I’m so proud of our Bucs for following protocols and keeping themselves healthy. Beating Covid is just as important as beating your weekly opponent this season… but you have to play against Covid every day. Great job Bucs! Keep it up!

  7. BA4President Says:

Watch out for them big city boys

  8. Stanglassman Says:

The Bucs need to switch it up and not just infect the OL. Maybe DL and HC for the Saints. 😉

  9. ClodHopper Says:

I wouldn’t mind playing this a day or two late. It would be good to have Evans have a couple days to heal some more.

  10. MP954 Says:

Reading on twitter it was Will Hernandez who tested positive for Covid-19

  11. SB Says:

I see what you did there Stan.

  12. Bucfanforever Says:

Clod- late means less time between that game and the Saints

  13. ClodHopper Says:

Correct. So when’s the time for him more important? Couple extra days this week could create a net gain for the Saints game.

  14. PieRat Says:

Speaking of Flu, interesting how cases have been down, at one point this past year, I would have sworn cancer, and heart diseases had been cured. 😉

  15. TheShaz Says:

New tactic for the Bucs D-Line……

Run AROUND the Giants O-Line and sack the QB

  16. bucsfaninOregon Says:

Well, well, well look at this. Does anybody remember I was the guy that said the normal season will not work this year. I will admit, so far it has worked better than I expected so far. But, the season is not over yet. Where are all those guys that said “The virus is a hoax”, “masks are for snowflake dopes”, “No need to be cautious- -play on.”
The virus, in case you haven’t noticed, is at the highest infection rate so far in the US. Just hope it doesn’t happen to a team(s) when the playoffs hit.
Basket ball pulled it off since they found a way to keep the players in a bubble. Baseball barely made it through a shortened season. We’ll see how the NFL season goes.

  17. Rob in Land O Lakes Says:

At what point are teams who are not following protocols going to get punished? Putting this game on Tuesday or Wednesday would totally screw up the Sunday night game against the Saints and punish the Bucs for something the Giants didn’t do right. This is getting to be complete garbage.

  18. Conte Piscateli Says:

If this game is delayed by a day or two that is bad for the Bucs, with a tougher game on a shortened week to follow

  19. Half-Caucked Jeudy Says:

hey potlickers, how long of a delay would it take for AB to be eligible for the Giants game, and 2, the last thing we need is a shorter week prior to playing the Aints.

  20. Swampbuc Says:

The Raiders OL played pretty well after their “rest” and even with starters out. Nothing to get over-confident about here.

  21. DBS Says:

They said 1 player. Not the entire team. Let me know if there is any update to really show the game is in danger .

  22. danr Says:

dangit. they are going to move us again?!

  23. adam from ny Says:

    the hoedown before the showdown

  24. Sorryjackchuckiesback Says:

Bucfaninoregon…. Dude, shut up!!! What’s the death rate at?? Oh yeah almost NOTHING!!! So what you get a fever and the sniffles for a week!!! Isolate whoever has it and move on!! Y’all idiots IT BASICALLY IS THE FLU!!! You people have allowed the political elite hijack a sickness and use it for political gain!! Trump is the ONLY ONE that was doing anything early!!! EVERYONE else including the Dems, Republicans and the mainstream news outlets were telling everyone not to worry it’s just the flu!! Then they realized that people were actually scared of this thing and it was killing a few people so they could use it!!! I mean how short are Americans memories!! The lock down for 2 weeks that’s still going on, the false tests and made up numbers, the fact that only the old people die from this but nobody uses that narrative because they have been told not to!!! You people are such sheep!! Yes it’s a real sickness and yes it kills people who are already dying!! But it’s not worth all the crap they are putting this country through!!! What’s the end game? Wait for a cure that has not been tested long term?? Yeah that’s smart!! I’ll take my chances with the virus over an untested vaccine they inject into your body!!! …. Suckers

  25. danr Says:

They wont move us later. If anything, they will move us back to sunday.

  26. Ghost of Darrell Henderson Says:

“Where are all those guys that said “The virus is a hoax”, “masks are for snowflake dopes”, “No need to be cautious- -play on.”
The virus, in case you haven’t noticed, is at the highest infection rate so far in the US”

I will make a prediction, the “Pandemic” will end with a whimper on Wednesday November 4th.

If a 74 year old man can shake it off in 3 days and continue his schedule of 100 hour work weeks, I think a finely conditioned pro athlete in their 20’s or 30’s can easily do it as well.

  27. Sorryjackchuckiesback Says:

I mean you have to take their word for it most the time that you even tested positive because something like 67% of younger healthy people will not even show any signs of sickness!!! It’s ridiculous that so many people are so scared of this!!! How many people do you know personally that have died of it?? How many politicians have died of it and there’s no doubt that’s what they died of!?! …. A real pandemic and something that is truly worth locking our lives down would affect EVERYONE!!! Everyone would have a relative or know of someone personally who has died of it…. It isn’t the plague y’all!! It’s time to start protesting these lock downs and not allowing them to run our lives!!! I will NEVER accept “the new normal!!!”

  28. adam from ny Says:

we finally get out of these “white, take a walk on the beach, color rush, girl on vacation, mr rourke, fantsasy island unis” and now the game’s in jeopardy

  29. Sorryjackchuckiesback Says:

Ugh, first comment got erased? Really?? No cussing, no accusing anyone of anything?? Not sure what got it pulled?

  30. Gofortheface30 Says:

Bucsfaninoregon – you are an incomprehensible loser. You disappear for the entire regular season and then you randomly show up when one person tests positive (as if we all didn’t expect positive test results already 🤡 ). I have a little tip for you, you virgin: making an outlier argument does not reinforce your argument. No games have been cancelled, 99.99999% of the players test negative week over week. The other players sent home (like last week) is precautionary and provided they test clean, will be back. Like last week. If the game is postponed then it will either be played during Bucs bye week if possible or on a Tuesday, but it will be played. There will be a full season, there will be a Super Bowl. Go cry some more

  31. Cobraboy Says:

    @bucsfaninOregon:

    1) The PCR test, which does NOT test for CV19, has an incredibly high rate of false positives. Fact. The RNA fragments in the PCR test have to be elevated 40x for a positive test. Elevate 30x and few positive results, and 50x and nearly ALL tests become positive. Even the scientist who created the PCR test has stated in public that his test does NOT test for CV19, and should not be used as such. Fact.

    2) A “positive test” does NOT mean someone is sick. In fact, barely 10% of anyone who tests positive ever has even one symptom, not to mention there is not ONE actual study that definitively shows any cause-effect for asymptomatic transmission. None. Zero. Nada. ALL speculation. Fact.

    3) Even with more “case” hospitalizations—including UCU admissions—and deaths are significantly down. Fact.

    4) The mean death age of a CV19 victim is older than the mean death age of the general population. Fact.

    5) Numerous actual studies, going back years, show masks are not at all effective in stopping a virus shed, but the WHO and CDC refuse to acknowledge these mountains of tests and their data. They aren’t masks. They are Suppression Muzzles. You should wear a Yuge orange one.

    6) My nephew, who is a surgeon in charge of the SICU unit of a major panhandle hospital I have mentioned before, told me Sunday that none of the ICU units of their hospital have had even one CV19 case in three weeks. None. Nada. Zero.

    7) It’s not a “hoax”, but the political hype is, fueled by hysterical prog Orange Man Bad TDS.

    8) Statistically, now that we have a large set of numbers, the ChiCom Flu has about the same morbidity as any normal flu.

    9) According to the CDC’s own stats, the incidences of death by pneumonia, influenza, and other respiratory diseases since March are close to ZERO. Please ‘splain how that can be.

YOU be worried and live your life in huddled, Virtue Signalling fear. I will Hard Pass on that nonsense bigly, and live my life as a knowledgeable sovereign man who can separate fact and science from partisan political spin. No doubt we are different that way.

Take care of the sick and elderly, and let the rest of us live normally again.

  32. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Sorryjackchuckiesback, comments sometimes take a few minutes to show up. That’s a sign that the server has a lot of traffic.

  33. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

My biggest concern is the risk of infection for our players being exposed to these teams who are testing positive.

  34. TampaTown Says:

    Cobraboy:
    Thank you.

  35. David Says:

They better not pull the bucks from another prime time game. That’s BS

  36. David Says:

    Bucs

  37. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    Cobraboy Says:

    1) The PCR test is no longer the primary test, so the positive results are far more accurate now. Which means positive infections are indeed rising.

    2) A “positive test” does mean they are contagious…which could lead to death for others.

    3) I agree, they are down…but that’s more because the general public is convinced there isn’t much help in the hospitals, so they are not going there. They think they can beat it without hospitalization.

    4) The mean death age doesn’t matter. The actual death are what matters. You won’t care what the mean death age is if you lose a kid, sibling, grandparent or parent.

    5) Masks are effective in stopping the spread. Wearing a mask IS NOT to protect you from getting the virus, it is to stop you from infecting others. Just like when you wear a mask during the birth of your child, or doctors do in surgery. It;s to stop them from spreading germs, not to stop the patient from infecting them.

    6) Who cares? So one hospital hasn’t had a case. So what if a dozen have not? Or a hundred? There are thousands of hospitals that do.

    7) I agree, it is not a hoax. But the President not taking it seriously is leading some to also not take it seriously, which leads to them infecting others BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT WEARING MASKS.

    8) Unrelated.

    9) According to the CDC’s own stats, the incidences of death by pneumonia, influenza, and other respiratory diseases since March are close to ZERO. Please ‘splain how that can be.

Perhaps it is because of the precautions being taken? If people with flu are wearing masks, they are not infecting others, so the spread is slowed. That;s just further proof that you are wrong about the masks.

  38. Steven007 Says:

Ghost, let’s be real here. The current inhabitant of the White House has never worked a 100 hour week in his life, certainly not in the White House. As for the rest of the argument, as a former scientist and huge NFL fan I am Switzerland on this issue. Also, by definition it is not “basically the flu”. Aside from being a virus it’s a completely different virus obviously which is why they call it a novel virus. And why all the precautions have been taking place.

  39. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

I don’t think they’ll delay the game. They flexed us out of prime time last Sunday and as a result they lost out on a very good prime time game.

The Bucs vs Raiders as a really good game.

  40. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Cobraboy, I responded to each of your points, but it’s caught up in the filter for a few minutes

  41. Rob in Land O Lakes Says:

    Cobraboy,

When you broke down the kicking woes a couple seasons ago in very technical terms, I knew at that point you were one of the smartest posters on this board. Your intellect and reason continue to impress. Keep up the good work!

  42. Leighroy Says:

Wow my mind is totally changed thanks to some internet trolls posting nonsense lies on a football blog comment board!! Thank you for your ministry 🙏

  43. WyomingBucsFan Says:

Here’s hoping the game is moved to Sunday at 4 pm agin, some people have to wake up early.

  44. Steven007 Says:

Wyoming, I would take the Sunday game too. Plus an extra day to get ready for the Saints at home.

  45. crazyBucs_CL Says:

    Cobraboy:
    Thank you.

and……Germany and France the took it “seriously” just failed and closed down till Dec 1st. and…. EU passed USA on death…..

  46. Cobraboy Says:

@Bonzai: your “responses” are factless. Mine are nothing but facts.

  47. ClodHopper Says:

Cobraboy nailed it. Too bad it will all fall on deaf ears because getting the bad orange man out of office is more important than facts and nuance.

  48. Sesteprenelicus Says:

Unlike the flu, there is no herd immunity nor a vaccine for COVID-19.

  49. adam from ny Says:

gotta be careful that teams don’t scheme on brady and key buc players and try to get them sick…

sounds crazy, but these things are possible

    #SeanPaytonIsThatTypeOfGuy #SchemeToWinTheDivision

    #GetJameisToPassOldbuddiesCovidWhileInTampa

  50. JimmyJack Says:

One player getting Covid does not affect the game. The teams play on. As long as theres not a outbreak they will play the game.

Sounds like we are playing Sunday unless you hear news of other Giants contracting Covid it. So long as theres no spread there is no danger.

I hope its not a empty stadium. The Raiders/Bucs broadcast was lower quality with zero fans. Cant wait to get back Home!!!!

  51. NYBuc Says:

Sorryjackchuckiesback: I assume ignorance is bliss for you. Infection rate is so much higher than a typical flu and it’s very dangerous and saw it first hand. When you see hospital beds and refrigerator truck morgues in Central Park (like I have), you take it seriously. For your sake, I hope you stay safe.

Btw: what a Fun buc season right (fingers crossed)?

  52. Delawest Says:

Buccaneers staff member test positive for the 19

  53. SB Says:

I have had Covid. My family has had it as well.
Go out and get it like Chicken Pox. You are either gonna die or recover.
There is no Grey Area here. The virus isn’t going away. There is NO Vaccine coming. This is a way of thinning the forest and Nothing you can do is gonna stop it.
Short of living in a cave the rest of your lives like Joe has referred to

  54. JimmyJack Says:

He is right though. If Covid was dangerous you would see it hurting people. But we arent seeing it. Their is no empty chair at the table. What are these people talking about? Staight up talking directly out of ass. It wont hurt my wife you prick stop pretending like it does.

And yall think tjis is genuine hahaha.

  55. SlyPirate Says:

I wonder if this is fake news so the NFL can move a higher profile game to MNF?

The Bucs-Giants may draw a lot of viewers at first but they’ll turn it off as soon as the game becomes a rout.

At what point are teams who are not following protocols going to get punished?

    ________

Y’all need to STFU about this already. Punish a team/player for testing positive for a sickness for which there is no cure and despite masks not actually working. How many people have gotten infected that wore masks religiously? Fauci the fraud got infected. Give it a freaking rest. Vape smoke is 10x larger than Covid yet can be blown straight thru masks that aren’t n95 or above.

  58. Anonymous Says:

Some perspective for all… a buddy of mine experienced this:

My children and I lost one of the most important people in our life to covid. Our grandfather. Not only do my children never get to see or talk to him again, we had to watch his funeral on facebook in our basement. The last words he spoke was “i need to know that my grandbabies are ok”. He said that because I had to be tested for covid. We haven’t seen him since January of this year. He lived 4 hours from us. Due to the distance my children lived with him EVERY summer, holiday, spring break, fall break, you name it, since the year they were born up until this year because of the pandemic. Every May I would get a call with him saying “When do my angels get out of school for the summer?” I would tell him and he would be here to pick them up the moment they got out of school. He wouldn’t bring them back until 9pm the day before school started back in August. My kids had to tell their grandfather bye by drawing a picture and mailing it to their grandma to put in the casket with him. They had to tell him bye through a screen. I had to hear my 10 year old scream “dont close it please dont close it” as they closed the casket.

Shocking to see the usual mouth breathers repeating the same nonsense over and over.

Maybe when one of your family members gets sick from it, or ends up in the hospital for weeks, or has permanent lung damage, or just flat out dies from it, like mine have, maybe then you’ll stop being so ignorant.

Probably not though, bc that would require you to actually think for yourself instead of blindly repeating everything your dumbarse cult leader tells you.

  62. Cobraboy Says:

@unbelievable: wanna compare IQ, edumacation or life accomplishments?

Your “cult leader” statement is just more typical prog projection. It’s YOU guys/gals/xirs who follow whatever some TDS prog nutcase says without any cynicism.

Maybe you enjoy being lied to. Maybe you enjoy willing compliance to The Overlords dictates. Maybe you get some perverse pleasure from chronic fear, like living in a horror film fantasy.

The fact you and spicoli need to use emotion to make your case, instead of cold, hard facts, speaks volumes…

  63. SB Says:

UB……sorry to hear of your loss. Sincerely sorry.
However this stuff isn’t going away. It is here to cull the population of the world.
One can debate all one wants as to HOW it got here.
    It is here.
    It isn’t going away
EVERYONE in the world is going to end up exposed to it.
How long you hide is up to you.
Eventuality is a b!tch but she always catches up to you.
I, personally, have 11 family members who have had it and survived with Zero side effects.
I KNOW of over 100 people here in my small town of 1200 people that have had it. Zero deaths. I don’t know most of them well enough to know side effects of each individual but have heard of none.
If that makes me a mouth breather then so be it.
This “sickness’ is GOING to kill the infirm IMO and it can’t be stopped.

  64. SB Says:

Also we had 5 people die here last yr from the Flu.

  65. spicoli Says:

Exactly your point is?? I didn’t spew any political party line bs.

I shared that story to give some perspective of what some of our fellow Americans have gone through. How was that story I shared from someone I know, not a cold, hard fact? What kind of case am I pleading, due tell me?
We are in this together as Americans, not as a particular political party.

  66. Cobraboy Says:

    Bonzai:

    1) PCR is STILL the primary go-to tests.

    2) There is ZERO actual evidence an asymptomatic person is a “spreader.” None. Nada. Zero. FACT. No study has EVER shown any direct correlation between an asymptomatic person and a new infection. EVERY study makes assumptions and speculation, without actual evidence. FACT.

    3) Your statement is complete nonsense and you should be ashamed for making it. FACT: hospitalizations and deaths are significantly down, and spin won’t change that fact.

    4) It may not matter to a True Believer, but when we see that the age of death is older for a CV19 patient than the average person, that says a LOT: CV19 is a threat to the much older, physically infirm person, full stop. Especially if that person has a circulatory problem like obsity or diabetes…or both. If you are 60+, morbidly obese (not just overweight) with diabetes and chronic hypertension, YOU are a target, not some 25 y.o. NFL defensive back or Dodger’s 3rd baseman. FACT.

    5) There is not ONE peer-reviewed study that shows a mask stops the spread of this or any other virus, and multiple dozens that show they have *zero* effect. FACT. But if you want to wear a Suppression Muzzle for Virtue Signalling purposes, go ahead. Just stay out of my grill about it.

    6) Who cares? Weak sauce, dude. The entire purpose of masks and lockdowns were about not “overwhelming” hospitals. And this hospital in question is a substantial regional facility in what used to be a “hot zone” for “cases.” I see you guys/gals/xirs no longer fap your woody to daily new case announcements while screaming into the night “We’re.All.Gonna.Die!”. I wonder why?

    7) Trump is taking it plenty seriously. He’s just not trying to politicize it LIKE YOU JUST DID. Hell, YOUR congressional leader didn’t wear a frickin’ mask to her hair appointment. Fauci drops his mask when not on camera.

    8) “Unrelated?” WTF? It was you guys/gals/xirs who quivered righteous with “It’s the worst ever, we’re all gonna die!” For.Frickin’.Months. But NOW we see that IRL, statistically, the morbidity is no more than the seasonal flu…even when you factor in regular influenza and pneumonia patients who routinely die every year that have been counted as “Covid.” In fact, mathematically, if you remove those then CV19 maybe even less than the seasonal flu.

I know, I know, the maths be hard, and you didn’t think there would be any math.

Full disclosure: I lost my 92y.o. mom to pneumonia last March here in the DR. I may have mentioned that before.

    9) I literally laughed out loud. Dude. Dude. Dude. You said there were no pneumonia (either bacterial or viral) and flu deaths this season because “maybe” they wore masks, which predispose their effectiveness. Yet 200,000+ people have allegedly died from a virus. WTF? Who knew Covid so bi-polar that it can attack some mask wearers but not others?

Once again, incredibly weak sauce. You should be ashamed. But aren’t. Anything for The Glorious Cause and all that…

Here is another bit of math about your beloved masks: 85% of all CV19 patients (not those gottdam “cases”, but actual sick people) wore masks either “all” or “most of the time.” I suppose your news outlet didn’t tell you about *that* study, huh?

I am not at all surprised.

Pro tip: If all you have is your heart and not facts, it’s best to not debate someone who has facts without the influence of the heart.

I know you ~mean well~ within your feeeels and all, but seriously…just stop.

  67. Cobraboy Says:

@spicoli: no one is debating you had a rough time with an older family member. That is not the fact in debate.

You plea an emotional case. It does sell to the weak-minded. In fact Francis Bacon (do a Google) wrote an entire play on the heart vs. head, and how they can influence opinions when in direct competition.

Marcus Antonius made sense. Marcus Junius Brutus was a rabble-rousing bullspitter who just wanted to rationalize his felony.

  68. Cobraboy Says:

Talk bout a coincidence. I posted a long response to Bonzai that is still in purgatory, and when I went elsewhere I came across a brand new piece in The Federalist called:

” These 12 Graphs Show Mask Mandates Do Nothing To Stop COVID

No matter how strictly mask laws are enforced nor the level of mask compliance the population follows, cases all fall and rise around the same time.”

For those who are more visual, the 12 graphs, based on a boatload of stats, are really telling.

Spoiler Alert: if you’re married to the Mask Fallacy or maybe have a “wear Ypour Mask” tattoo, do NOT go to triple dubya thefederalis dot com and search the title ^^^above.^^^ You’ll prolly cry yourself to sleep begging for mommy to make The Mean Man go away…

Some idiot yelling at someone for not wearing a mask that they have done NO research on and just did what the TV and Facebook told them to do!!! It’s unreal how immoral, dumb and gullible this country is!!! Trump didn’t cause it, he EXPOSED it!! …. But yeah man you are right in everything you say!! The one dudes rebuttal gave no facts just conjecture and the other dumb dumb is lying about his family being THAT affected by it!! Unless maybe they are all 400 pound slobs….. Yes Ghost because the WHOLE WORLD perpetuated a “hoax” for the sake of our election.
    Brilliant! Just absolutely brilliant!

And oh yes, the Fed-er-ralist! No bias at all, I’m sure. Their list of “contributors” is a reflection of our country’s diverse cultural and intellectual background! LOL!

    BFM

You already admit there’s no such thing as unbiased news. The federalist admits they’re right wing. CNN and a host of others do not admit their bias. So what makes the federalist’s biases worse than anyone else’s biases?

  77. Bucsfanman Says:

Clod- Just pointing out the obvious. You would be the first to skewer me if I’d referenced the network you mentioned.
    Bias is bias. Period.

  78. ClodHopper Says:

I don’t ever raz the coverage of MSNBC or HuffPo etc. Admitting your biases automatically makes you more credible than than WaPo and CNN etc who pretend to be neutral. Not completely credible. Just more credible

  79. bucsfaninOregon Says:

Boy, it doesn’t take much to ruffle a bunch of red feathers. I posted that I felt that the NFL is in for a tough season due to the virus.
Then snake boy and SorryJack get into a love fest over who hates the “false” virus worries the most. You guys should go get a room.
I guess these pictures of full to the brim hospitals is all a Demo disinformation plot. If so, they sure are doing a good job. Don’t worry, be happy! There is absolutely nothing to see here- -move along.

  80. Bucsfanman Says:

“More credible” or slightly more credible anyway!

  81. SOFIERCE Says:

There is nothing wrong if you want to wear a mask; right up until you try to force me to copy you. Why?

For the simple fact that I respectfully may not believe exactly what you believe and if you try to force me… we can easily figure it out outside.

    Let’s go 6-2!

  82. ClodHopper Says:

Yes it’s more credible. WaPo and CNN start off with a lie before they say anything by pretending to be neutral. HuffPo does not. Is that not a big difference to you?

  83. Bucsfanman Says:

Clod- You trying to argue semantics?! They admit bias. So what? You want to rail on WaPo and CNN? Go ahead. I’m not arguing for or against. You’re just trying to pick a fight! LOL!
Not today Clod! Not today! LOL!

  84. ClodHopper Says:

Ok. I get it. That’s an important difference to me. Details aren’t important for everyone

  85. ClodHopper Says:

You can say I’m trying to argue but you’ll notice this was started with me asking you a reasonable question and you turning it around to criticize me. Then you criticize me again without me criticizing you and you criticize me yet again. Who is trying to learn here and who is trying to argue?

You proved your federalist comment was worthless when it can’t hold up to even a single question.

  86. Bucsfanman Says:

    My original statement:

“And oh yes, the Fed-er-ralist! No bias at all, I’m sure. Their list of “contributors” is a reflection of our country’s diverse cultural and intellectual background! LOL!”

Go look at the site’s “contributors”, easily accessible on the site, then re-read my post. If it doesn’t sink in, I don’t know what to tell you there Clod.
Not once have I criticized you.

    Hey man, Happy Halloween!

Loyal Comrade, there is no brighter flashing sign of surrender than a fallacious ad hominem “shooting the messenger” argument, followed by a good Ol’ Straw Man attack.

    Weak, weak, thin, runny sauce.

The graphics speak volumes and were not generated by the author or site.

Facts have no diversity or culture.

Two closing words after your bundling of two debate fallacies: Surrender Noted.

Might I suggest you take the cotton out of your ears and putting it in your mouth? Thank me later…

    Exactly.

Live in fear if you choose. Just do NOT involve me in your paranoia, much less force me to accept your fear and paranoia.

I see you are unable to use critical thinking skills on the macro level.

Not surprised you don’t see the “spiritual” global war between Sovereign Men craving freedom and Global Collectivists, those evil men who desire domination and will stop at nothing to get it, including exaggerating a virus for political purposes.

Ludwig von Mises wrote about the phrase “Useful Innocents” in 1947 (Planned Chaos), as a term used by communists about well-intentioned liberals, whom he describes as “confused and misguided sympathizers.”

I’m looking at you, Loyal Comrade.

But I doubt you’ve ever read any Mises. Not surprised. He’s not an easy read. Few pictures, many tables and graphs, lots of complex words and concepts.

I suspect a CNN sound bite with small words can keep your attention for at least 15 seconds. No prob. That’s why they exist. There is something for everyone.

  90. Bucsfanman Says:

You guys are funny! I make a statement about the diversity of a source and suddenly there’s “straw men”, UFOs, messengers, and a tin man.
It’s called Research 101. All media is biased. Who owns it? Who contributes to it? Who reads it?
“Surrender”?! OK. If that helps you sleep at night.

For those paying attention, make sure you get facts from reputable sources, or at least ones that purport to be so. Fed-er-alist, sorry Cobra, is not a reputable source of information. That is, unless you’re looking for confirmation bias of course!
No, I didn’t spend one second more looking when I saw who owns and contributes.

Hey man, you contributed to the Halloween theme and didn’t even realize it!

  91. Bucsfanman Says:

Oh boy, the tinfoil hats are on early for Halloween this year!
    Enjoy!

  92. ClodHopper Says:

According to Wikipedia, a couple political writers own it and the founder of Uline contributes. What’s wrong with that?
