Wednesday Bucs Injury Report

September 16th, 2020

The bad news is Mike Evans continues to nurse his hamstring (though Bucco Bruce Arians says he is just ine). Joe also thinks it’s bad news that Donovan Smith now has a knee injury, though Joe knows some fans would disagree.

See on the home page regarding Chris Godwin’s brain. Jordan Whitehead left the field Sunday holding his arm but apparently was good to go today.

    Where was JPP?

Donavan needs to pick it up. The last thing he can afford to do is be limited in practice. Hopefully, they are teaching him fundamentals all this week.

Donovan is butt hurt and knows TB thinks he is worthless, by that I mean not up to TB standards as a football player

If Kawaan Short ends up not playing that is going to be huge for us there run defense was already really suspect plus he was probably the best pass rusher they had. Tom is going to have all day to throw as long as that lazy B**** Donovan Smith actually shows up to play

They’re replaying bucs saints on NFL Network right now, if anyone is interested in rewatching it.

Let’s see. Our two best WR’s and our starting RT are on the injury list. Their injury list includes a 3rd string WR. Not a good sign.

I hope Smith does not play. He really sucks bad.

Researching game and at around 5:20 left in the 2nd Qtr right after personal foul on Latimore, we had 1st and 10 at the Saints 27 yard line.

1st down hand off to Fournette off left Tackle who was tackled behind the line of scrimmage for a loss is 3.5 yards because Smith is a human turn style and just can’t block…..at all!

2nd and 13, incomplete pass intended for Brate. 1 second longer and Smith’s guy would have been draped over Brady’s back.

3rd and 13 from the 31, Brady sacked from behind at the 36 and managed not to fumble but out of realistic FG range ans you guessed it….Smith’s guy made the sack.

4th and 17, 54 yard FG attempt blocked.

I am sick and tired of D. Smith and I want him on the bench until he is gone. He is not NFL starting LT material. Not even close!

On Godwin’s sweet 3rd and 1 catch over the middle I thought he hurt his leg the way he was taken down and then got up slowly. I wonder if that’s when he experienced the concussion. Hopefully he’ll be fine with a few more days to rest.

    HOW IMPRESSIVE WAS OUR DEFENSE?

Man… before the season I was really worried about the Defense. Sure, they played better during the 2nd half of the season last year, but they also played against some crappy teams at that time.

My concern for making a deep playoff run this year was always about our secondary and some of our tackling.

Our secondary *couchcough* Dean, still occasionally looks like a weak link at times, but overall they’re such a solid group. Even without a bunch of sacks/hits on Brees, we were SOLID.

I believe we forced punts on the Saints 1st FIVE possessions of the 2nd half. That’s awesome.

Devin White was playing like one of the top LBers in the NFL. In his rookie year he showed some flashes, but also looked LOST on many plays. He certainly didn’t look lost against the Saints the way he was flying around and making solid tackles for losses.

Winfield definitely has ‘star’ in the making. Lots of people, including Joe, have been high on Winfield before that first game. But boy could you really tell he’s a baller. He seems to be “in the mix” on so many plays. He moves well and travels all over the field with ease. A fantastic draft choice for sure that’s going to pay off right away.

Todd Bowles really called a great game against the Saints. Some of those calls were a thing of beauty with JPP and Shaq both dropping into short coverage while White & David blitzed on delayed stunt.

And that one big sack of Brees on the critical 3rd down at the time was awesome.

If this team can eliminate some of those STUPID penalties, and if we can get the ground game going at all, this team is going to Top 5 for sure and headed for a deep playoff run.

    “Godwin’s head hurts

He’s confused why he is only making $2 mil while

    Gronk makes $10 mill
    Brate $7mill
    Evan’s $19 mill

Godwin is going to sit for awhile and not get hurt and destroy his payday

This is why players who deserve 2nd contracts get paid before their last year. 8 games max and 80% effort till he gets paid this off season. Gump doing Gump things”

No way this group of chumps bests the Panthers. Panthers 27-17. Brady throws two more picks.

Love that beautiful low-resolution screen shot of an awful excel table chart.

    You guys need an intern.

  12. Allbuccedup Says:

Godwin is good as gone Licht wants him to take a team friendly contract.

  13. SlyPirate541 Says:

    Donovan Smith – Limited Participation
Someone inform the injury report team Smith isn’t injured. That’s just how he plays.

  14. Sesteprenelicus Says:

If Smith was playing through an injury on Sunday, it could explain some things.

  15. orlbucfan Says:

Wonder how many pick 6s old fart Brady will throw Sunday? Hope ungodly Godwin is okay. Defense will only continue to improve.
