Two Bucs Return From COVID-19 Reserve

August 6th, 2020

Final 2020 pick, RB Raymond Calais.

UPDATED: 4:55 p.m. – It’s a happy day at One Buc Palace for a few reasons.

The NFL announced that Buccaneers rookie seventh-round pick Raymond Calais, along with camp-meat RB Aca’Cedric Ware, were activated off the dreaded COVID-19 reserve list. They were there for six days.

Rookie running back KeyShawn Vauhgn, the Bucs’ third-round pick, also recently came off the reserve list. He’s seen today on Buccaneers.com, per their practice photos. Fellow rookie Tristan Wirfs talked about Vaughn working to get healthy recently, so it’s great to see that Vaughn is well.

And one more on the good news front, the opt-out deadline passed 45 minutes ago and there is no news that Donovan Smith is bagging the season. Joe’s fingers still remain crossed.

Unless the buccaneers site has him mislabeled, keyshawn Vaughn is pictured practicing with the rest of the guys

  2. Dewey Selmon Says:

RoJo, Shady, Vaughn, Dare, and Calais. I look for Calias to land on the PS.

  3. SB Says:

Also..Joe Please never perma-ban Ndog or Clean House.
They are too much fun and it is Only gonna get better once the season starts!

  4. D-Rome Says:

It’s being reported on the interwebs that the Bucs are expected to release MJ Stewart.

  5. Doctor Stroud Says:

MJ Stewart, 2nd round draft pick just two years ago, is gone. GM Jason Licht does not draft well.

  6. Craig Says:

Good to see Calais cleared because I really wanted to see him as a punt/kick returner.

Vaughn had such a good college career, I hope it translates to the NFL. It is time for the Bucs to find someone who can make it as a RB.

RoJo isn’t bad, when someone makes a hole for him. When Cappa got it together and blew open some holes, RoJo got some yards.

  7. Youngbucs Says:

I wish y’all be quiet with the licht doesn’t draft well all gms have bad picks. Go do some research he’ll check out some of Belichick picks.

This Covid thing is getting ridiculous.

One of my lawyers, without symptoms, tested positive in her law firm’s “quick” testing protocol. She was sent home for a week, never had one symptom, and now tesats negative. Twice.

She and I want to market chiffon lace face masks for all they do.

  9. Clean House Says:

SB, What basis would there be for a perma ban?
You don’t like hearing about The good part of the JW stat line?
You wanna stick your fingers in your ears and scream la la la like a little kid, avoiding the truth?
    Check yo sheet

I don’t bet against Brady. But I don’t conveniently recreate history.

JW #1 in the NFL in total offense, passing yards, passing per game, and #2 in TD’s.

Yes,yes, I know, Ints, pick 6’s and, points off turnovers

But guess what? Jameis thee all of those passes- even the ones that got all the top stat lines- He had some of the best next level throws anyone has seen- he made plays out of nothing-

He did it all in spite of many many team flaws- what happened to old BS explaining all the pics that were not his fault? What is that adjusted stat line?
What happened to year one blues in the BS offense?
    JW= scapegoat

Grass is greener? We shall see!

I believe in Tom Brady- who wouldn’t give him the benefit of the doubt and even be excited- I am

But I refuse to rewrite and ignore history on an ultra promising young 26 year old QB and am happy to remind everyone every time one of you throws a jab JW’s way.

  10. Clean House Says:

    Jameis threw

  11. SB Says:

    Just how many pick sixes^^^^^

  12. JimmyJack Says:

I’m with Craig. Wanna see this speedy RB and what he can do as a returner……its little things like that I like to look for that I’ll miss without preseason games. Gotta imagine no preseason really hurts his chance to make an impact and the team.

  13. JimmyJack Says:

Clean House we dont need the Winston stat line. Its ingrained in any true Bucs fans mind…….pass, pass, pass, pick…..pass, pass, pass, puck…… pass, pass, pass, pick. And we all know what his trademark is. The vaunted 5 pick game. Good for 2-3 per year.

  14. SOEbuc Says:

If Wirfs can come through, we could have an awesome oline. He can slide in and out. That will take a huge amount of pressure off Cappa than when he was with Dot. And the left. Somebody better find a hole.

  15. Buczilla Says:

    Awesome news.

  16. Bradinator Says:

Hooray! Now we gotta wait until Sept to see if any of them can play. Calais for kick returner, please. We haven’t had anyone that scared opponents in forever.
