Motley’s Crew

August 24th, 2020

Bucs rookie CB Parnell Motley.

So it seems the darling of 2020 Bucs training camp has surfaced.

Bucs coach Bucco Bruce Arians has kvetched how his secondary cannot seem to come down with interceptions. They get their hands on passes but cannot haul them in.

For free agent rookie corner from Oklahoma, Parnell Motley, that doesn’t seem to be an issue. This morning he had his second pick against the great Tom Brady.

Arians all but said Motley will make the final cutdown unless he starts screwing up.

“Keeps making plays every single day,” Arians said. “He’s going to get a job.”

Later, Arians admitted what is sticking out for Motley is his sticky hands.

“When they throw it around him, he catches it,” Arians added.

Of course, unless Motley starts, he’s going to have to excel on special teams. Arians said for guys who do not start, special teams is a priority.

Yeah, Joe admits, Motley’s success is too easy to connect to Motley Crue. Joe cannot pass up a good fastball down the middle.

Pablo feels sorry for our DBs in practice

Motley and Nasir Adderly were my predictions as undrafted guys to make the team. Adderly is gone, but Motley looks like he will make it. His athleticism stood out on his tape vs. Jalen Reagor. Motley can ball!!

Is he good on ST? Any comments on that?

TBBF- That spot was already taken by molasses!

Won’t be hard to fill MJ Stewart’s shoes–that dude had plenty of opportunity to show his talent but he was always 2 yards or more behind his man–painful to watch–glad that era is over! I know nothing about Motley–bout to find out. The other DB’s need to tighten it up a tad and the int’s will come, especially in real game when the other team desperate to make a play and not get quashed by vita vea and kong suh.

Arians saved Licht’s career with the Bucs!

I love coach Arians telling it like it is. Training camp is for many a continued interview for a JOB. This is not college anymore.

Hopefully coach Arians will remind them how the full stadiums will be missed this season but it will not take away a player’s motivation received after every paycheck!

    Go Bucs!!!

Love to hear that a young guy is standing out after being undrafted. That is great for the Bucs!

I said a while back that Motley and Javon Hagan would compete to make the squad!!
