“It’s Not Crazy”

August 3rd, 2020

Super Bowl, bay-BEE!

Shady McCoy did it for Cowherd.

When Bucs AC/DC-loving general manager Jason Licht signed future Hall of Fame running back LeSean “Shady” McCoy last week, FOX Sports personality Colin Cowherd had seen enough.

Cowherd, who once worked locally in Tampa Bay media, believes the Bucs now have way too much firepower to not be taken seriously as a Super Bowl contender.

Cowherd went down the list: the 49ers could take a step back in a brutal division. The Packers easily could take a step back, as the wise guys in Vegas believe. Carson Wentz cannot be trusted to stay healthy. He added more elements of why and how the path to the Super Bowl is already starting to open up for the Bucs.

“It’s not crazy,” Cowherd said over and over again.

Cowherd said he could see the Bucs hosting the 49ers in the NFC championship. And he basically added, who ya got, Jimmy GQ or park-violating, home-invading, NFLPA-ignoring Bucs quarterback Tom Brady at home?

The Bucs becoming the first team to host a Super Bowl in their own stadium, to quote Cowherd, “It’s not crazy.”

Hear Cowherd’s full take in the FS1 video below.

Cowherd it right, and it’s really great to see national media putting Super Bowl and Bucs in the same clip. In the NFC, I think SF and NO will be extremely dangerous hurdles.

Pretty sure Cowherd referred to Tom Brady as Tom Brady though.

A great Neil Diamond song sung by the Monkeys.

I second that as the Bucs theme song through the season!

Arians made Licht better too. = SUPER BOWL AT HOME!!!!

The past is the past. Since Arians got here you can see the direction we are heading. Time to bring the Lombardi home for the coach.

    Go Bucs!!!!!!

  5. Razor Ramone Says:

I think Cowherd used to do a radio show with Hubert Mizell. He was far less annoying then.

  6. FactTeller Says:

This may be the most factual take I’ve heard from him ever…

  7. Troop 365 Bucs Says:

I’m in Dallas giving my co-workers the business! Tampa Bay all day baby. Let’s go Bucs.

  8. Cannon Says:

    I believe.

Still gotta play the game(s) though.

    Yes.

I’m always optimistic at the start of every season. This season just seems to be a ‘little more’ special. The offensive firepower we have accumulated over the years finally has a proven general to lead it. The woefull defense of the recent past seemed to do a one eighty in the second half of last year. If they can stay on that upward path, we will have the best balance with the best talent we’ve ever seen on this team.
    I’m stoked!
    Homefield advantage in the superbowl!
    Perfect Storm!

Yeah you can see the direction and its to the very deep dark bottom of the league. For example look at the Arizona Cardinals and how he left them. He left them with no coach in waiting, no QB and no chance of success.

    Yes doesn’t that sound exciting!!!!!!!!

    🙄🥴🙄🤢🤢

Ndog – your nothing but a sad, bitter husk of what was once a fan of this team. It is now clear with such a positive article, and all you can do is spew poop out of your mouth that you are clearly NOT a fan of this team.

You can lie to yourself and say “can’t I have a different opionion and still be a fan” (in a super whiny voice)?

The answer is now lost. You are officially a stray dog. There are probably some scraps for you next to where the third stringers sit in NO.

You have now reached the ‘never read your post status’

    Later!

  14. Troop 365 Bucs Says:

@Sport I agree, he’s lost. I pass his comments right over. A fan of the team he is not. At this point why be negative towards the team. They went and got the horses to lead this team to meaningful January games. Go Bucs

  15. Buc4evr Says:

The only thing that concerns me is the Sickness with players Testing positive and having to be quarantined. Injuries and the Sickness are the big unknowns, especially if TB12 has to be out for a few weeks due to the Sickness.

Just hope we can have a season and the Bucs can stay untouched by the Sickness. Otherwise this team has the firepower on both sides of the ball.

  16. PSL Bob Says:

Just keep our fingers crossed that we see a complete season. Beyond that, some players will unquestionably catch the virus and have to sit out at least 2 games, but that’s going to happen throughout the league. So, in my opinion, depth at all positions is key. And as the Joes repeatedly point out, depth at certain positions on the Bucs team is sorely lacking. So unfortunately, I think the virus will have a lot to do with who comes out on top this year.

  17. Oneilbucs Says:

Troop he’s talking about the future of the team I don’t think he’s talking about right now . I understand where he’s coming from it’s just a lot of yall are just looking at right now wich is still not a garoteain we are going to win . For me our defense is not superbowl ready for what they showed last year in the first 10 games . We did this before in 2016 where our defense played good towards the end of the season and the next year they was trash. So for me it’s the defense I’m worried about this year the offense just needed a running game but we have been ranked at the top in offense .

  18. gp Says:

    Remind me again?
Just who was our defensive coordinator at the start of 2017???

That was very well done indeed. I sometimes challenge NDOG but not that often anymore. He is who he is and I’m fine with that.

But still gotta admire the way your worked in the N”DOG” references!

“The answer is now lost. You are officially a stray dog. There are probably some scraps for you next to where the third stringers sit in NO.”

Not an N dog but a stray dog…and scraps with the third stringers. OUCH!

I have a bad feeling that we’re going to see “If the season ended today…” come to fruition. But fingers are crossed.

  21. Chris@Apple Roof Cleaning Tampa Says:

Brady and Gronk did not come to Tampa to rebuild. Our time is NOW!

  22. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

Cowherd was lousy on local TV, which I think was Channel 13. I enjoy his radio show and he did do a local show with Hubert.

  23. RustyRhinos Says:

Ndog Please, do not listen to this at the 3:00 minute mark. Just skip past it.
