“I Cannot Wait”

Will Warren Sharp’s eyeballs turn bloodshot watching the Bucs pass block?

If Bucs fans are stoked to see what park-violating, home-invading, NFLPA-ignoring quarterback Tom Brady can do in Bucco Bruce Arians offense with more weapons than you can find at MacDill Air Force Base, they are not the only ones.

Count gambler Warren Sharp among the folks chomping at the bit to watch Brady in the Bucs offense.

Sharp, who has turned into a stat geek to help him get an edge in wagering, isn’t so much worried about Brady’s 43-year old arm falling apart throwing so much for Arians.

What Sharp believes will be the key to success is pass blocking, so he told Orlando Alzugaray of WBGG-FM in Miami recently.

“Bruce Arians has a much different passing attack than Brady had in New England. It was a much shorter-based passing attack,” Sharp said. “Even on first downs, it was a more conservative ball-control passing attack in New England, whereas Arians has the highest average depth of targets downfield on first down of any team in the league last season.

“Brady is going to be asked to push the ball down the field. Does he have enough time in the pocket to make it work? I am leery of this offseason with quarterbacks moving to a new team with a new coordinator. That is definitely something that is working against him. And of course his age and if he gets nicked up along the way.

“I cannot wait to watch what that looks like. Arians has long been one of my favorite coaches. I love what he does with quarterbacks. He does ask them to stay in the pocket and some of those hits take some toll, among them Andrew Luck. It is going to be up to that offensive line to give [Brady] protection. I can’t wait to see if it works.”

Maybe this is why Joe and Peter King have noticed a more “nimble” Brady in Bucs practices. Maybe Brady and Arians know that Brady just cannot be a stationary target?

After all, it’s unrealistic to expect Brady to take a beating like some of Arians’ quarterbacks of the past, like America’s Quarterback, Pro Bowler Jameis Winston, Carson Palmer, Ben Roethlisberger and Luck.

Joe will guess if Brady takes a pounding like those other quarterbacks did under Arians, Brady no way starts 16 games.

Yes Buc fans are excited to see the GOAT not:

or Your Step son Turnover machine America’s Quarterback, Pro Bowler Jameis Winston

BA knows Brady is no spring chicken. I am guessing BA will allow Brady to take a more conservative approach and move the chains with shorter routes. BA never was never known to utilize his TE. Brady is a master at using them. Picking up Gronk and pass catching McCoy is a sign that BA will allow Brady to showcase his scheme of quicker and shorter passing plays to TE and RB running underneath the secondary.

If Brady gets rid of the ball as fast as he’s been doing the last 20 years, the O line will not be a problem. Even on deep routes Brady won’t hold the ball waiting for the receiver to come open, he’ll throw with anticipation. Has Brady had the best O lines the last 20 years, or does Brady make O lines look good? Me thinks it’s the latter.

After seeing the piece by P King about the Bucs and Brady moving more than he has seen before. The first thing I thought about is they are not going to let teams get a bead on Brady being back there like a 43 year old sitting duck. BA is not stupid, to just let the Saints T off and knock Brady silly. This reminded about Joe Thiesman and the half roll out plays Washington ran that they called a waggle. Thiesman would do these little 5 yard roll outs and easily hit the reciever. Brady is extreemly accurate, and moving him around is a simple smart way to play. This also helps out big time when your RT is starting his career against Probowl DL Cam Jordan. Hopefully Cam will running around and dragging his tongue, tired and frustrated. All these so called experts are waiting to see Brady get clobbered in BA’s offense. It aint going to happen. BA is not going to let his Super Bowl ticket get knocked around and rag-dolled because of being dogmatic and running plays to get Brady killed. Just Like with Don Shula, in the early 70’s the Dolphins were ground and pound with a 3 headed monster- Kick-Czonka-Morris. But In the 80’s when Dan Marino showed up, the leopard changed his spots and the Dolphins were an all out passing team. Bum Phillips had that classic statement about Don Shula- “He can take his’n and beat your’n and take your’n and beat his’n.” Translated the BA leopard is going to change his spots and the collaberation of Bruce and Brady will be seen on a weekly basis. And the Joy ride should last at least until the NFC Championship game and hopefully a 7th Vince Lombardi Trophy for Bradys Fire Place Mantle and our 2nd one. GO BUCS!!!!!!

    “Its very simple

Can the old goat stand for 16 games

Will this offense replicate the Tb12/Pat’s offense or BA/BL twins lethargic long developing passing

BA the Narc was and would have ruined the health and careers of Peyton Manning, Ben Roethlisberger, Andrew Luck, Carson Palmer and last year’s leading total sacked QB

The beauty of it all is that we will know the outcome and possibilities of this season in game 1. NO ONE in the NFL knows more about the weakness of the online and Leftwich ineptitude than defensive coordinator Dennis Allen”

    This is very likely true.
In last year’s game @New Orleans, Jameis threw for 204 yards, but was sacked 6 times and had a fumble. Was that due to the OLine being ineffective, or to Jameis holding the ball too long? In game 2 vs. NO, JW3 threw 4 picks, but threw for more yards. So, CAREFUL Jameis throws fewer picks, but maybe holds the ball too long, and RECKLESS Jameis throws for more yards, but also more picks. We all shall see if TB12 can help answer that question this year.

i stan with paul. 5 years of getting a micro puke in my mouth when I had to read AMERICAS QUARTEBACK. Now we have the GOAT, a true hall of famer and this is the moniker they put on him. I usually bounce the minute I see that, but this time I was curious if anyone else felt the same way. Show some respect.

Brady takes hits all the time y’all act like he never gets hit. He took plenty shots last year. And yes I know his age but y’all act like the pats are perfect. Watch the all-22 it’s out there false narratives kill.

One characteristic Jay Miss had was he was one tough SOB. I’ll give him that. If Brady goes down, we’re done. Gotta keep him upright somehow.

  13. Buczilla Says:

The way I figure it, we are almost in a win-win situation. If Brady stays healthy for 16 games I have little doubt that we make the playoffs. If Brady gets hurt (please no) early in the season, I can almost guarantee that Gabbert will set us up to draft a top quarterback next year. The b!tch will be if, say for instance, we go 7-2 and then Brady goes down. Gonna be fun to find out!

Paul, thank you. The Joes have to realize they won the war, but are definitely losing some battles. No more Tribune, Times limping along, other sites pretty good, so JBF is the place to go for core Bucs news (and today’s reporting was great). But the scrappy/upstart mentality of JBF of old HAS to mature a little now that they’re the #1 game in town (and, ahem, Joes…the entire nation is now watching us and you, and Tampa/Florida already has a goofy reputation as is). Please, stop with the childish tics in the writing.

Put some respect on his name!

    Tom “Reincarnated Celtic King” Brady.

Tom, the MJ of the NFL, Brady.

Tom Brady the son of Hercules.

  20. Paul Says:

Thank you! Does feedback count JOE? I am not alone!! Grow up? You know become more PROFESSIONAL-and compliment instead of denigrate the GOAT.

    “Some” of his past quarterbacks?

LOL it’s been all of them! I sure hope Brady is as nimble as were being told, for his own sake and ours. Or perhaps our o-line has suddenly ascended to god like status.

    (One can hope!)
