Shaq Barrett Opts To Torture Bucs Fans

July 14th, 2020

Sadist?

What the heck was Shaq Barrett thinking?

This feels like a cruel joke against Bucs fans and Joe is in stunned disbelief.

NFL Network gave the Bucs’ sackmaster the keys to the programming suite today and issued the official schedule of condensed games and shows Shaq chose to air starting at 4 p.m.

The list is below.

Shaq made nice selections until 11 p.m., when Shaq ordered NFL Network suits to air the Buccaneers’ 2019 season finale, when Jameis Winston threw a pick-6 in overtime to end the season with a groin kick to battered Bucs fans on their home turf.

Joe doesn’t give a crap that Shaq racked up three sacks and set a new single-season high mark for the franchise. You don’t pick the season-finale loss as one of your favorite games!

Joe’s not sure what this says about Shaq. But Joe will go to bed early tonight hoping somehow Shaq was pressured into that decision by NFL executives — or someone at One Buc Palace who wants the Jameis supporters to get one last harsh reminder of his exploits.

Since when didn’t we see gut wrenching pick sixes last year? To me, it was an exclamation point on Jameis’s tenure here. Nothing more…nothing less. Sometimes you need to face painful reality to move on. And in that, there was some redemption.

  2. Bucsfan951 Says:

Well, at least we get to see 2 of the 7 wins from last yr 🤷🏻‍♂️

  3. Ron graham Says:

    Joe stop being over dramatic.

  4. Don_RyJo(e) Says:

Another Bucs player who didn’t have faith in Jameis. And we’re blaming… … …him?

  5. Adam Says:

For me that game was a highlight. It was one of the final nails in the JW coffin so we could move on!

  6. Roy T. Buford Says:

I LOVE IT. Winston should have been gone 3 years ago. Koettre knew it, the Glazers knew it, probably even Jason Licht knew it. By signing for a tiny backup QB job after all 32 teams passed on him, heck, even Winston knew it. They all just had to prove to the world, the rest of us be sticken to wait. That game helped us turn the page, and probably a turn a corner. We may have tough times ahead…but it was clear Winston taking this team anywhere, EVER.

Maybe YOU don’t, Joe. But Shaq and a whole of others of us did!

I saw the headline and thought he dissed us. Not to be!

    Thanks SHAQ!

Joe Jameis fan being mellow dramatic again.

  9. BA4President Says:

    I agree @Adam

If Jameis had not reminded the organization of his true colors, we may have not been so set on adding Tom Brady.

“I see your true colors shining through…”

  10. Zwak Says:

Joe needs a medical card ASAP!

  11. TheBucsAnthem Says:

not sure why are there complaints from anyone???

Shaq is almost getting almost $16 million for one season and he can be set for life if he is wise and also invests wisely.

    Not sure why o why??????

    Come on now Joe…..

Shaq just checked his sheet man! Well played. –Joe

Normally I would take Joe’s point…IF it was during the season. But the season is long over and this will not effect attitudes or preparation for 2020. I suspect the vast majority of athletes look at the season as the play right in front of them.

They do not care about stats…other than W’s. Most prefer to wait until after the season to enjoy their INDIVIDUAL accomplishments. I’m very cool with that.
As it say in a famous book…there is a time for every thing..a season to concentrate on the game…and the post season…a time to savor success.

Actually it is possible to watch that game and enjoy the growing improvement and maturity of our defense and just tune out another pick six…as Forrest Gump used to say….AGAIN.

What’s up with dish taking the NFL Network off the air? Ugh!

In two years when Jameis is leading the Saints to the postseason. These games are going to be much harder to watch..

  19. Youngbucs Says:

Jameis won’t lead the saints nowhere but the division basement have saints fans crying about Bridgewater.

I will be having an ICE COLD BROMOSA right at 11PM for my night cap. Nighty night.

  21. BucEmUp Says:

Its last season we all knew what it was who gives a crap?

  22. DBS Says:

Don’t have cable and got rid of Dish. Sure don’t see any reason to want to revisit any of last year. It’s over and gone. Moved on.

  23. LordCornelius Says:

The cruel joke is having a pandemic this year after signing Tom Brady lol.

I could care less about this. Just hoping for a season to be possible.

  24. Joe in Michigan Says:

Did I just read that Florida was cooking the books on Rona cases? Reporting 98% instead of 9.8%? 😳

  25. james west Says:

i don’t think he’s dissing us at all

  26. Joe in Michigan Says:

DBS: Same here. No sense in living in last year.

  27. Craig Says:

I guess some of really did need some reinforcement on why last years QB is no longer with the team.

I have to admit that by that point in the season it had become something of a joke to me. The entertainment value was looking like slapstick.

I was a good excuse to pour another whiskey.

Luckily, I don’t have to see it again, NFL Network removed itself from DISH a few weeks ago and I haven’t even missed it.

Still hope the NFL can get it together for a season. That I would miss.

THANKYOU SHAQ BARRETT! enjoying Bucs football tonight and appreciate your selections and your awesome game play in 2019!

  29. Matt Says:

Ehh after following our Buccaneers on social media seeing how racist they are I am done. I urge you all to reach out to them just to see how bad it is. These young guys are sick in the head racist and it’s only going to get worse as the NFL loses 20% or more of its fans. I was holding on so that maybe Shaq isn’t racist too but he just put up an IG post that shows how ignorant he is talking about white privilege.

Good bye JBF, Good bye Bucs, Good Bye NFL. Thank you for everything Joe you have been amazing, truly a Tampa Treasure.

  30. Mike Says:

Matt, wait don’t go, African Americans CAN’T be racist!

  31. rrsrq Says:

Forgot how FG Matty Ice, errr, Matt Gay missed that game, hence no 30 INTs and probably another year of JW…

  32. bojim Says:

    Just play Shaq.
