Scotty Miller: Brady Teaches, Gronk Is “Class Clown”

July 11th, 2020

There was no introductory text or phone call from Tom Brady to Scotty Miller. The legend and the Bucs’ 13-catch, 22-year-old receiver met at a practice field in Tampa.

Miller told JoeBucsFan.com yesterday that he has no unique Brady story to tell from several practice sessions at Berkeley Preparatory School in Tampa, but he emphasized that Brady has so much knowledge to share and definitely serves as a coach.

“He just giving me tips on my game and how to improve,” Miller said, adding that Brady hasn’t asked him to watch film of any players.

As for being around iconic new Bucs tight end Rob Gronkowski, Miller feels his energy.

“Gronk’s just what everyone would imagine him to be like. He’s hilarious. You know, class clown-type of guy. So it’s just been fun to be around him. He’s just excited to get back [to football], so it’s going to be fun together when we’re on the field,” Miller said.

This was very much what Joe expected to hear from Miller; Brady is dialed in and coaching up players, and Gronk is well, Gronk, loving every minute of being back in football and healthy.

Joe will have more from Miller next week.

I really love Gronk being there with Brady because I think it will help the rest of the team buy in. Basicaly Gronk and Brady are a good cop/bad cop act.

  2. Bucsfan951 Says:

One qb teaches his receivers about the game while another uses google to learn the game. Things that make you go hmmm

  3. Jason Says:

Can we please get Scotty Miller on a jet sweep. With all the other weapons spreading the field I think it would be a positive play.

  4. gp Says:

I am sooooo looking forward to this season!

  5. Jaymiss Pick6 Again Says:

So does SM push Godwin outside because of his quicks? Good problem to have but I wouldn’t mess with sucess.

  6. FlBoy84 Says:

@Jason Seem to recall Miller getting at least one called for him last year that resulted in a big gain, only to have it negated due to a holding call. Think it was against Howard, but not certain.

  7. Clean House Says:

You Jameis haters ought to get over it, pathetic to talk smack. Obviously Brady has some great things to share after 20 years and 9 Super Bowls with 6 rings.
    It’s great to have him.

    As for JW

Dude was number #1 in the NFL in total offense. #1 in passing yards, #1 in Yards per game, also #2 in TD’s after 5 years at 26 years old.

Always taking him out of context.
Google that and check yo sheet sucka’s.

  8. Jaymiss Pick6 Again Says:

@ Clean house…where did he rank in picks since coming into the league. My google is broken. Thanks for checking for me.

  9. Clean House Says:

Jameis is a student and fan of the game he loves and lives in an ok line age with information research. Maybe he didn’t feel he was getting all that was advertised by “The whisperer.” By the way, you don’t see the New England Coach writing propoganda books, but rather just winning, a lot more than one lousy playoff game.

    Google that.

  10. Tampabaybucfan Says:

Sounds like the Joes are warming up to Brady being our QB…..maybe they were never cool…..
It’s bittersweet to say goodbye to Jameis for some….but when you have Brady as a replacement…..well….not so bad!!!

  11. Clean House Says:

Hey clown, sorry your google was broken-
I did as you asked. Did a little google search.

He only ranked ahead of Peyton Manning after 5 seasons.
You’re argument doesn’t add up, sorry check yo sheet.
He did it in 8 less games too getting hit far more often, so had a worse OLine-Both had their worst INT season under one year of the BS “whisperer” offense.

    Manning Winston
    Games- 80 72
    Comp % 62.06 61.34
    Passing 20618 19737
    TD 138 121
    INT. 100 88
    Sacks 108 169

I’ll roll with JW any day

  12. bojim Says:

I would’ve been fine with Jameis coming back. Now that BA is finally 100% in.

  13. Bucsfan951 Says:

“Maybe he didn’t feel he was getting all that was advertised by “The whisperer.”

That whisper coached the #1 offense last year, bud. Must’ve done something right!

    “so had a worse OLine”

Again, that oline was good enough to make the Bucs the #1 offense last yr.

  14. Jerry Jones Says:

    Good riddance Jamie’s Winston.

  15. BigHog Says:

Mr. 5,000 made them the #1 Offence!!! Period!!!

  16. Jaymiss Pick6 Again Says:

Games won = 28. Games lost = 46. Certainly not ALL his fault, i.e. kicking sucked and defense hasn’t been good in awhile…thank you Mike Smith. But the Captain does go down with the ship. BTW 88 picks since entering the NFL in 2015 is by far and away the worst in that span. Roll on.

  17. BigHog Says:

    Offense! that is!!

  18. Lloyd Olson Says:

The season ahead is what matters, yesterday doesn’t win a single game. Everyone knows if Brady has a couple seconds , he can hit anyone, like any Quarterback in the game, Brady has to have a line in front of him , no Quarterback, not Joe Montana, not Brady, plays with out a line, If Brady is on his back on the ground all afternoon, they gave a problem. If he is not, they win football games, No one alive reads the other team like Tom Brady, keep him on his feet, you have a winner

  19. Bucsfan951 Says:

Mr 5k made the offense but isn’t blamed for the ints?… makes sense.

You must be a professional victim!

Jw made the offense, not the oline
Jw made the offense, not the receivers
Jw made the offense, not the play calling
Jw made the offense, not the coaching

Ints was the o lines fault
    Ints was the receivers fault
Ints was the play callings fault
    Ints was the coaches fault

I like this professional victim thing!

  20. Jaymiss Pick6 Again Says:

TB’s 2.2 second release will negate an average O line’s pass blocking deficiencies. Besides, maybe Wirf is an immediate upgrade. I’ll roll with that anyday.

    The Clown.

  21. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Gronk being a class clown is fine if they are winning. A distraction if they are not.

  22. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Clean House was right in his first post…stopped reading at that point though.

  29. SOEbuc Says:

At the beginning I thought Gronk asked Brady for $10 million and chilling with his bff in Florida for a year but now I do think he’s pumped about getting back to play ball…And with Tom…Nice.

  30. SOEbuc Says:

Brady make Watson into a beast. That would be sweet.

Joes…has S Miller put on any man weight since last season ?

  33. Kgh4life Says:

    @Clean House

You forgot to mention that Jameis has never won anything and after 5 years in the NFL he’s the league leader in turnovers.

  34. Clean House Says:

Kgh4 life, Jameis can’t play defensive back or reunnimg back,
He can’t be the coach or GM who ,by The way, have all been terrible.

  35. Owlykat Says:

Kgh4 life, Jameis did set the Bucs all time record for yardage, so we can’t say he didn’t do anything other than set the all time interception record. And keep in mind the first year in BA’s system all QBs throw double the amount of interceptions because the WRs have alternate routes on each play and rules for which one to pick and often they messed up and ran the wrong route and Jameis threw to the right one, and it got intercepted so half the interceptions Jameis threw last year were based on mistakes on his WRs. In any other system Jameis would have only thrown 15 interceptions as he did in prior years, so BA should have known half the interceptions last year were because of BA’s system!
