Tom Brady Throws A Pass (Really!)

June 17th, 2020

We have a football play. Sort of. Finally.

After the paparazzi caught park-violating, home-invading Bucs quarterback Tom Brady and his new teammates working out at Berkeley Prep, it spurred WTVT-TV Channel 13 sleuth Kevin O’Donnell to dispatch a news chopper to catch a practice.

Unfortunately, Brady and company saw the chopper and just stood around. At one point, the chopper caught Ryan Jensen taking a snap from Brady.

Now, add WFLA-TV Channel 8 to the mix.

The NBC affiliate sent its chopper out to catch Brady’s practice yesterday and once again, Brady and his teammates were standing around apparently waiting for the chopper to pass when Brady seemed to lose patience.

So Brady, wearing a Bucs helmet, dropped back and hit Bucs tight end Rob Gronkowski on a seam pass down the left hash. Joe hopes we see a lot of that this fall.

It was players running routes against air, but at least it was something akin to football.

Joe couldn’t make out any other players (one may have been Chris Godwin as the receiver was wearing long sleeves and a skullcap which Godwin often wears at workouts). It appeared to be a small group.

You really can’t read anything into this video, but maybe (just maybe) Gronk looks pretty agile on that seam route…less robotic than his last couple years playing thru pain apparently. Maybe the year off and shedding 20 lbs really did do him some good?

    Looks like ROJO out there

Yea everyone looks less robotic when they aint wearing pads lol….

Why not use drone technology instead of choppers…..quieter, cheaper…..and better video…..more clandestine……

I won’t feel comfortable until the Bucs have the QB of the future working under SB rental QB #12

That looks to be Justin Watson catching that pass. Too fast to be Gronk.

Fly a drone over a private school campus and watch it used for skeet practice by security

You and Bucs quarterbacks. LOL Get ready to have an uncomfortable two years. Unless Brady really blows chunks this year, Arians isn’t going to get the next QB of the future.

    Excellent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I agree! ☝️

Drones are licenced and have very strict rule for where they can fly. Schools are probably prohibited.

Looks to be Brady, Gronk, Jensen, Cam, Dare, Scotty and a few cameramen. I know it’s only against air but can’t help but realize how precise that pass was. Timing from both players clearly in synch after playing together for so many years. Dragging Gronk out of retirement was a solid move. Looking forward to seeing Brady’s precision applied to our stockpile of playmakers.

The helicopter is only a distraction. Get that BS out of there! These guys need all the time they can get with a shortened off season. Typical move by the media. Don’t give a F anything but getting their story, their picture, or their video. This footage does absolutely nothing for me. Leave the players alone.

What’s interesting is Brady releases the ball to a inside slant location just before Gronk cuts and looked for the ball. That’s got to be tough to defend. Hopefully OJ is taking notes.

  18. SOEbuc Says:

These f#ckin helicopters are just like the boats bothering Brady on Davis Island. I get it’s prep but is Berkeley the only school in central Florida that is open to these types of practices??? Piss off helicopters.

    GO BUCS!!!

    Joe

If Brady really blows chunks this year Byron will be taking over 2021 hopefully. Better chance at keeping our good coaching squad together and Byron using his scheme to try to find the right QB.

    Maybe next year.

Keep an eye on that big kid out of Texas, back for his Sr. year. He seems to be the prototype BA-type QB.

Of course, the 2021 draft is a looking way away…

They got 18 likes… that was worth fueling up the chopper for.

  22. Architek Says:

After all of this losing, why would anyone care about a future when you’re arguable a playoff contender?????

Losing is in the fan’s mentality too!!!

use a clandestine drone, stop with the helicopter–dangerous for everybody just to come away with one picture!?! hardly worth it. what if they crash the helicopter desperately trying to film TB12 who is just getting pissed off. Ruin our whole season!

Sadly, the high school in question is private and the neighborhood it is located in is private and you can’t fly drones over it without permission.

A chopper is a different animal. Besides, when is the last time you heard of a news chopper crash landing on an area it is hovering over to record? Last time Joe heard of anything close was a news chopper hit high tension power lines in Pinellas County either taking off or landing (can’t remember which) about 10-15 years ago.
