Digging For The Story

June 15th, 2020

Scoping out news.

If a handful of Bucs are working out at a secluded gym in a warehouse section of town, or dudes are pumping weights at a well-known chain fitness facility, or at a high school field throwing around a football, it’s a good bet that Kevin O’Donnell of WTVT-TV Channel 13 sniffs it out.

He wasn’t the first to nab park-violating, home-invading Bucs quarterback Tom Brady working out with new teammates at Berkeley Prep but he was the first to get video of the workout when he requested a local TV news chopper shared with other local stations buzz by the Tampa school to get video of Brady and pals.

Colin Cowherd of FS1 was a local TV sports anchor in Tampa in the mid-1990s and O’Donnell was his producer. Having scooped the field with his Brady workout video, Cowherd had O’Donnell on his show to discuss the scene.

O’Donnell offered way cool stuff about how he found where Brady was working and how he got the video.

Another cool thing O’Donnell shared with Cowherd’s viewers, the Bucs gave Brady a list of local high school football fields to work out where they would be out of the public eye.

You can view O’Donnell’s appearance with Cowherd below. Also below, see how Brady is trailed by neighbors while walking his dog.

Anyone thought of using a drone instead of a chopper……..cheaper, quieter, more obscure….could stay longer……video probably as good….

Brady was with Deion Sanders and Bubba the Sponge Sunday. He left driving a very nice Ford Raptor.

Is Bubba still in a menage a trois with Terry Bollea?!! 🙂

Good luck flying a drone over a private school in a residential neighborhood. Hey, cherry on top; Berkeley Prep’s mascot is the buccaneers too

  9. Kevin Says:

Drones are out without approval to fly over private property
