Burleson: Arians Is The Best Bet

June 8th, 2020

High hopes for Bucs coach.

In trying to figure out which NFL head coach who has never won a Super Bowl ring (as a head coach) will finally get bling this year, an NFL Network talking head thinks that guy could be Bucco Bruce Arians.

Former wide receiver Nate Burleson thinks Arians has the best chance to win it all among those searching for their first Super Bowl win as head coach. Arians won a ring as offensive coordinator in Pittsburgh,

In a roundtable discussion with other NFL Network personalities, Burleson said he would lay his cash on Arians and the Bucs to capture the Vince Lombardi Trophy.

The two coaches who come to mind are Bruce Arians and Sean McDermott. Arians has to be thrilled with the offseason his Tampa Bay Buccaneers have experienced, especially after winning the Tom Brady sweepstakes in March. The Bucs now boast the sport’s ultimate winner at quarterback (Brady has SIX Lombardis) — and given the fact that Brady has the Michael Jordan effect, every player on that roster will play better. Brady has already rallied some of his new teammates for workouts.

Interesting is that a panelists believe the coach to get his first ring leading a team would be Kyle Shanahan of the 49ers.

In Joe’s eyes, if Arians and the Bucs are to break through and reach the Super Bowl, they will have to find a way to get past Shanahan and his 49ers, the defending NFC champs.

That would be so cool to see the Bucs play in the Super Bowl at a stadium previously known as the “Den of Depression.”

For the Bucs to go to the SB, not only might they have to face San Fran in the playoffs, they would be better served to take a page from their playbook; strong defense, good run-game.
We have better overall offensive weapons than the 49ers. If we can elevate our defense, even remotely close, we’ll be playing games well into January.

if we win the NFCS and can keep home field advantage throughout the playoffs, we can beat any team in the NFC, INCLUDING THE 49ERS, wouldn’t that be awesome to have the divisional playoff game in tampa, the NFC championship game in tampa, followed by the superbowl in tampa, you know how brady loves his home field advantage and his playoff bye, don’t ya think tom has already contemplated this scenario? buckle up folks this gonna be one hell of a ride

Everyone talks about picking up great players, a few have mention how important it is to not just have a great head coach but an outstanding coaching staff. BA and his staff has proved last year and in the past, to be one of the best.

Additionally Brady brings along with him the brains and the playbook of Bill Belichick. I can’t imagine how great the Bucs offense is going to be this year with Brady having one of the best WR and TE cores at his disposal.

Been saying it since before Brady even left New England. The Bucs are going to be the first team to win a home game Superbowl!

We can beat the 49ers, if it comes to that.

This super bowl talk is premature nonsense. Brady will look very pedestrian for the first half of the season, only chance is if the defense plays to a top 10 level.

If we can’t better the Saints in the division, the only home game we can hope for is the Super Bowl. How many #5 seeds host playoff games? Not many, my friends. Being 12-4 won’t help us if the Saints are 13-3.

Den of Depression? It’s about time for a new stadium label. Merriam-Webster definition of the word “Succession”: “The order in which or the conditions under which one person after another succeeds to a property, dignity, title, or throne.”

That’s right, conditions in which one team succeeds to a TITLE or THRONE!

The owners are all-in, the team is all-in, and us Buccaneer fans are all-in. Joe, it’s time to stop calling the stadium that horrendous name, that’s a thing of the past.

It’s time to start calling it the Den of Succession. Now go do it Bucs!

Whoa up ! Let’s just win a game first ,
All this super bowl talk can derail a season quick.
    Just saying !

Fortunately the Saints often don’t start well and they also count on their loud fans in their dome to help them win there. If no fans there that is another big plus for us. If the Bucs pass rush, including Vea, get to Brees early and often and we continue to stop the run, we definitely can win!
