Offense Should Be Fine, If…

May 28th, 2020

Stay healthy, please.

To Joe, there is one task the Bucs offense must tackle this season. And if that is taken care of, all should be OK.

And that is to keep park-violating, home-invading quarterback Tom Brady on his two feet.

The Bucs offense is loaded, at least when it comes to receivers and tight ends. And for those that think Brady, soon to turn 43, has slipped a little — NextGen stats suggests that’s simply not true — the Bucs have far better weapons than Brady had in New England.

Any quarterback would love to have two Pro Bowl receivers, one of which is on a path to the Hall of Fame. Give a guy who has won six-rings that kind of talent and look out!

Gregg Rosenthal of NFL.com wrote sort of a pre-summer preview of the Bucs and he doesn’t see much of a dropoff coming (if any) from an offense that hummed last year even with a frustratingly poor running attack.

The Bucs ranked ninth in yards per play last season. If Brady can move the offense at a similar level to Jameis Winston while cutting his turnovers in half, they’ll have a top-10 attack.

Joe has a lot of confidence in the passing game. The running game, Joe is firmly entrenched in Show Me mode.

Keep Brady standing on and the offense, at least the passing offense, should be just fine.

But if America’s QB was still here we wouldn’t have to listen to el buco fakeistos bs!!!!!!!!!! I can’t wait to see what kind of crap spews from his lips when this all works out. F—k the trolls.

This team will play hard for TB12. Look at the level of effort they gave for Fitzy in the first few games 2 yrs ago. They have another gear.

Also, too much is made of JW scrambling. He was more like a kid running downhill too fast and can’t stop. There are other ways to defeat a pass rush. TB12 uses all of them effortlessly. The right play call, audibles, line calls, quick release etc.

The game that showed me his ability was the SB against the Broncos pass rush. They destroyed everyone. But TB (and sure Belichek) completely neutered that pass rush.

It’ll be fun to watch TB with these weapons!

    Go Bucs!

    In BA I Trust!

When NE was down 28-3 vs Falcons in SB, my SB House party people said the game was over. I swear> I promised them that Brady would lead NE back….All laughed at me…. TB won, again, with Belichick. Brady was 40…amazing accomplishment.

I LOVE Tom Brady. That was 2017….Sorry, but I expect FATHER TIME will win the battle, especially against NFC pass rush, not to mention Chiefs, Packers, Vikings…

Establish a run game, 2 TE sets, design plays to get the ball out fast. The Bucs Will be fine.

  6. Bucsfanman Says:

Everybody KNOWS, save for a few “hangers-on”, that eliminating the NUMEROUS TOs gives this team a chance to compete. If we can develop a run-game, this offense will be flat-out dangerous.
We had a top 5 offense two seasons running rendered ineffective by turning the ball over. Just imagine!

The Offense shold be fine if we:

    Have fewer turnovers
    Run the ball well
    Kick the ball well
    Pass the ball well
    Block well
    Coach well
    Have fewer penalties
& Score more points each game than the other team

Yea we were top 5 offensive team only because of that guy we rid of …the FAMOUS one we ran off…Mr. 5,000 the only offense we had…also no running game, but now we must develop one to help out NE12, Mr. 5,000 dragged his incompetent team to that top 5 offensive status, now let’s see what NE12’s 43 year old can do with the same team (with a few upgrades)…I did not even mention Gronk yet because he is not the same player….this can’t fail!!!! Thanks for every yard FAMOUS, I’m the fan that believed you would be better with another year under this system !!!! THIS CANT FAIL!!

  9. Youngbucs Says:

The only place mr 5000 dragged this team is down. But fear not we will RISE!!!!!

    Big hog,

I’m sure you can find a Taints blog somewhere in the World Wide Web.

You will be much happier there.

  11. Oneilbucs Says:

Big Hog is right what have he said that’s not true ? And he’s right this can’t fail . Because Brady will be 43 years old and I hope they give him a better running game or at least call run plays for him . I still don’t like the move from a 26 year old to a 43 year old quarterback but we are stuck with it . No excuses because Jamies was the only reason why we lost . No excuses superbowl or bust ……..

We lost AT LEAST 2 games last year due to bad QB play. You could prob argue 3.

We lost AT LEAST 2 games last year due to kicking woes.

We lost AT least 2 games early in the year due to our defense.

Two of those issues appear to have been corrected. We’ll see about the kicking game…
