“It’s Not Just About, You Know, Beating The Bucs Twice A Year Every Year For The Rest Of My Life”

May 1st, 2020

Jameis mentions Lovie Smith, not Bruce Arians, and talks about his transformed eyesight.

America’s Backup Quarterback, Jameis Winston, connected with The Rich Eisen Show today and had plenty to say.

Jameis is the newest member of the New Orleans Saints and he said staying in the NFC South “absolutely” was part of his motivation.

“And it’s not just about, you know, beating the Bucs twice a year every year for the rest of my life,” Jameis said of the Bucs.

Jameis has lived “a month of resilience,” he said twice, referring to his changed career path and learning new levels of gratitude for people helping others through the pandemic.

Like he told Saints media the other day, Jameis is fired up and eager to start learning from Drew Brees and Sean Payton.

Asked about his feelings about the Buccaneers, Jameis said the following:

“Man, I’m grateful. The Glazers gave me an opportunity that I dreamed of,” Jameis said. “Jason Licht gave me an opportunity with Coach Lovie Smith back in 2015 and it was amazing. I love my teammates and that’s always going to be the case. That’s always going to be the case. I love this city of [Tampa]. … But at the end of the day they’re competition. This is my profession and this is my career. They gave me an opportunity. Somebody else has given me an opportunity now.”

Does Jameis blame his eyesight for his many interceptions last year? Eisen asked.

Jameis said he can’t go there. “I’m not making excuses,” he said.

“Lasik has definitely helped my vision and my accuracy,” Jameis added. “I can honestly say that because that’s what I’ve experienced.”

The former Bucs QB said he tried playing with contact lenses during his third season (2017) but it didn’t go well. He did not specify whether that was in games or practice. The lenses were falling out and he didn’t blink enough, per Jameis.

He expects his game to improve following the surgery in the areas of “ID’ing coverage and trusting my eyes a little bit more,” Jameis said.

At least he is grateful although he still made the google statement which wasn’t a class act thing to say.

Alright Ndog/Lamarcus/Ardnaggy TIME TO START GOING AT IT.

  2. TheBucsAnthem Says:

    Poor

    Poor

    Poor Jameis Winston

  3. AlteredEgo Says: Your comment is awaiting moderation. Says:

Jameis beat the Bucs more than twice a year for 5 years….

  4. TheBucsAnthem Says:

    Joe

Can we stop putting “America” inline with Jameis name??????

he doesn’t play for the bucs anymore…….atleast I thought you’d have stop with all that ridiculosness

  5. DBS Says:

    You forgot Oneilbucs and BigHog

  6. Pewter Power Says:

I bet Bruce Arians ripped him a new one after that season ending pick 6 which is why he’s hating on this coaching staff. Probably now Arians regrets lying about who was at fault on all those interceptions

  7. NeverForget2002 Says:

What Bucs Anthem said. Please stop with this America’s Quarteback nonsense

  8. Eye Test!!! Says:

Someone, please tell me how you measure everything about a prospect and yet you don’t check his eyes?

I cannot fathom the Bucs did not perform a full medical workup on a potential $46mil asset.

Or can I?? Something smells fishy!!

A friend of mine for 5+ years been telling me that Jamies can’t see!
How could he see it from his couch??

  9. DoooshLaRue Says:

    It’s all scatalogical bullish!t.

    JayMiss is bullish!t.

  10. Gettinthebucs Says:

I got this weird twisting feeling in my stomach that Jameis is going to kick our @$$ for a long time.

  11. BlogTalkFootball.com Says:

    He’s going to pick 6 us…

  12. Greg Says:

Altered ego I could not have possibly said it any better! Bravo

  13. T REX Says:

We’ll beat that loser every year.

    We’ll make him quit football.

  14. 541BucsFan Says:

If you’re worried about Winston vs the Bucs, you’ve got it backwards. If Winston starts versus the Bucs next year you can bet he’s going to get hit a lot.

    1) Defenders don’t get to touch QBs in practice.
    2) Winston put the defense in a lot of bad predicaments.

There’s a lot of built up angst for Winston within the defensive lineman group. Winston starting for the Bucs would be an early Christmas.

  15. Doug Says:

I’m so happy he’s the saints problem now.

  16. Youngbucs Says:

Oh Jameis please how do you know you have improved accuracy now ??? Any real nfl gms going on we don’t know about????? It’s sounds good till the live bullets fly I’ll have to see to believe it.

  17. 99.97.92.55.47.40.28.20.7 Says:

    Dear Joe,

    Please stop.

    Best regards,

    Bucs Nation

  18. RustyRhinos Says:

He may want to cut down his Beat the Bucs twice every year talk. Because there are plenty of Buccaneers Defensive players who will finally get to see him without his yellow Jersey on. And I bet they will not let up all those games for life.

  19. Youngbucs Says:

So happy these excuses are the saints problems now I’m not even joking.

  20. Ndog Says:

We all know how this is going to end, and I’m going to be sick to my stomach knowing that there were some out there that knew better.

  21. TheBradyBunch Says:

541 – You friends with the defensive players bruh? That defense was complete and utter garbage for 4.5 years of Jameis’ 5 years with the Bucs. I think he would have pretty good argument to be pi$$ed as well at sieve that lost several games each year by giving up 4th quarter leads. Some of you are just so hateful towards the guy. He gave it everything he had while he was here. He worked hard, he played hard, he played hurt, everything you want from a player. He is gone now, leave the guy alone.

  22. 74 Bucs Fan Says:

Jameis – son, you are not going to see the field. You were brought in on the cheap to provide intel on the Bucs. That is it. You are 3rd string.

  23. Youngbucs Says:

Ndog 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭just like you knew he was coming back??? Just like you then knew other would jump up and down to sign him ???? Look I’m just asking because your bold fact based claims have been coming up short.

  24. Youngbucs Says:

You wanna know what is a fact ? Winstons scouting report coming out of college. His red flags on and off the field surfaced in the nfl just like the reports said.

  25. simeon Says:

Joe-maybe i missed this, but he is only making $1.1m at the Saints, why didn’t the bucs try to low ball him and keep him? He is surely better than Gabbert and we are paying him the same amount.

  26. Ndog Says:

Oh YoungBucs your name says it all. When you grow up come talk to me, until then check your sheet b!tch!

  27. DBS Says:

Here is a fact. Saints Fan site. BlackandGold.com.

  28. Youngbucs Says:

I know because you have nothing you can say. Exactly what the scouting reports said the red flags happened right before our eyes you can’t fluff that truth. That’s all you got write my a long story beating around what I just said.

  29. Youngbucs Says:

I check my sheets and Winston not on the depth chart!!!

  30. Alaskan Abdominal Snowman Says:

If we don’t get a super bowl in the next 2 years, this was a failure. Plain and simple.
We mortgaged our future to win now so anything less is completely unacceptable. No pressure.

  31. Jerk04 Says:

Ndog you’re a douche and football knowledge is a joke. Do yourself a favor and stop talking. Jameis is going to destroy the bucs for a decade.hahaha. He did it for 5 years that we will all give you. How often do you wish you were the Uber driver being assaulted by Winston?

  32. Pa Privateer Says:

Didn’t read the article, don’t care to read it either.

    Good Riddance America’s Turnover Machine

  33. BA4President Says:

    HE’S GONE, HE’S GONE, HE’S GONE

    Whoo hoooooo!!!

  34. Thisisouryear!!! Says:

Jameis had the QB dream team. Everyone has babies him forever. Now he says going to the Saints is like going to Harvard. Give me a break. Who else can he blame??? He’s running out of options. My bet is he gets cut by the saints before the season begins.

  35. Ndog Says:

So let me get this straight we got rid of a guy who just threw for 5,000 yards and his eyes are getting better and replace him with a much older version of a guy who didn’t come close to 5,000 yards and his vision is getting worse cuz he’s getting older typical Bucs sound like a great plan.

  36. IAMHIM Says:

I think the bucs is going to….

  37. Ivan The Insider Says:

Ndog – shut your silly mouth up. Give it a rest already.

    “It’s Super Bowl or bust!”

NO it’s not. And no one ever said it was. Your hero Jameis never even got us to the playoffs. So we’ll take “Playoffs or bust” in an effort to go in a new direction. In no way is signing Brady some sort of major risk that puts the rest of the team and salary cap in jeopardy (like you’re trying to imply). If he retires in 2 years we draft a new QB or sign a free agent. Just that simple.

“…knowing that were some out that there knew better.”

Unlike the 31 other teams that wouldn’t even give him $1M/year salary to be the 2B backup?

Somehow you know Winston’s “guaranteed greatness” yet the rest of the league, that does this stuff for a living, somehow doesn’t and is not even willing to take a cheap salary risk on him?

    PUHHHHHHHLEASE.

Your Jameis-Love is the most ridiculous thing on the entire Internet.

  38. Youngbucs Says:

Ndog just like I thought whats the matter where my facts to much for ? You got nothing?

  39. Ivan The Insider Says:

    NDOG,

Fitzpatrick was on pace for 5,000 yards (but more TDs and few INTs) for us in 2018 when you pro-rate his 7.5 games played.

Should we have kept him as our starter?

    SHUT YOUR PIE HOLE!

  40. Jerk04 Says:

Oh it’s his visions fault. I thought it was the overrated WR running the wrong routes. Ariana covered for that loser all season and after the final 2 games he had enough of babying the head case and new it was over. I bet if Winston got access to Uber back Ndog would move to New Orleans and work as an Uber driver just for the chance of Winston assaulting him and making his dreams come true

  41. Ivan The Insider Says:

    Ndog,

You are refrained from referring to Brady other than “THE GREATEST QB OF ALL TIME.”

  42. Tom Edrington Says:

New Jameis monikers for the Joe(s):

    America’s Backup

    America’s Clipboard Holder

  43. Ndog Says:

So let me get this straight we got rid of a guy who just threw for 5,000 yards and his eyes are getting better and replace him with a much older version of a guy who didn’t come close to 5,000 yards and his vision is getting worse cuz he’s getting older typical Bucs sounds like a great plan.

  44. Inspired Says:

Ok, I’m searching for relevant news concerning THIS YEARS TEAM. Truly Joe’s this is getting boring with James. You can’t find anything more relevant for this year? Jameis is seriously old news now. I’m not going to read anymore Jameis articles either. I would care if he was still Relevant to My Team. Do you guys remember them? They are know as the “Buccaneers”, Not the Aint’s! I’m tired of reading about the Aint’s and their teammates. This site IS Supposed to be about the Buccaneers. Is it not? If you want to talk about Past and or Gone Bucs players, There are Plenty of others to speak of…. You guys are Seriously looking like heart broken Stalkers…. And by the way, we Now have the America’s QB on OUR TEAM. If You are so Obsessed with the Aint’s and their team then it’s time you changed the name of this website…. Time to move along fellas

  45. Ndog Says:

    SUPERBOWL OR BUST BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Say it with me bandwagoners, SUPERBOWL OR BUST!!!!!!!!

  46. Inspired Says:

    And THAT includes You ndog….

  47. Ndog Says:

You want relevant news okay we’ll give you relevant news Brady’s already cheating by going to the coach’s house when he shouldn’t Brady’s also a criminal by breaking and entering Rob Gronkowski is cheating by getting a playbook too early. That’s that’s our current news so hope we enjoy it.

  48. Ndog Says:

Hey Inspired I got news for you Jameis is going to screw the Buccaneers for the next 12 years so he is talking about the Bucs, because what we just did we’re going to pay for Friday a long time and it’s going to really suck isn’t it. That’s the morons we have running this team.

The sad part is we were so close to having a team that could really be good and create a dynasty so close, but Mr backstabber came in and screwed it all up. Good job BA, quarterback moron.

  49. Bucsfan951 Says:

I just wonder if Winston gives his cheerleaders like NDOG the 2 finger mcgillicuddy or 1 finger cul De sac and which does she (ndog) prefer?

  50. Mike Johnson Says:

Jameis is going to look real good when Brady goes down..Just sayin…I mean after all, we got Blaine Gabbert waiting in the fold with his..13-35 records as a starter. Just sayin.. (no 2)

  51. Bird Says:

    ^^^^^

    Oh my god
    Wwwwwwhhhhaaaaaaaaaaa

Baby ndog is flipping the F out
He is a grown ass man
    Brady and gronk are cheaters
    Thats hilarious

  52. Bucsfan951 Says:

Yeah Johnson, like Winstons 400 average is so much better!

  53. Ndog Says:

Most interceptions in a season for Andrew Luck
Most interceptions in a season for Peyton Manning
Most interceptions in a season for Carson Palmer
Most interceptions in a season for Ben Roethlisberger
Most interceptions in a season for Jameis Winston

One common denominator I’ll let you guess what!!!!

  54. Youngbucs Says:

    I’m I missing something?
    Weaknesses
Decision making not consistent with football intelligence.
Will throw into impossible windows rather than taking the safe throw underneath. Elongated windup and release allows instinctive defenders to close on throws. Was to easily baited into dangerous throws. Struggled with intermediate passing gm in 2014, completing 56.8 percent of his passes with fbs-leading 11 interceptions in that range. Still learning the nuances of the position and how to move and hold defenders with his eyes. Would sleepwalk through the first half of many games. Inconsistent footwork and weight transfer caused balls to sail. Prone to emotional outbursts on the field 👀. Quality of decision-making drops off substantially when pocket becomes turbulent and he’s forced to leave it. Lacks athleticism to extend plays for very long outside of the pocket. Off-the-field character and ability to lead on the nfl level are his primary obstacles, according to nfl evaluators.

Wow all the way up to prone to emotional outburst on the field we saw that 2-3 times also again did I miss something?

  55. Ndog Says:

    Defend that ⬆️

  56. Clw JB Says:

I hope he does start against us twice this year – Brady vs JW is a much better match up – JPP and Shaq have about 30 reasons to want to pound him into the ground…

You know the entire D looks at him with great disdain….

His season ending presser showed the true JW – reticent, ignorant to his own inadequacies, and he, although “book smart” has ZERO common sense

America’s BackUp QB – well said Joe!

  57. Youngbucs Says:

The book was out on this guy before the Bucs drafted him bad pick no pun intended lol

  58. Im Ndog 1 of 0 Says:

I just wish Jameis would beat my as$ twice a year for the next decade if you know what i mean
    Man he is hot

    His buttocks are so touwt
When he was at FSU ,I called him “Mr garnett and gonads”

  59. Youngbucs Says:

5 years in same issues 🙄🥱

  60. Alanbucsfan Says:

It’s not about Brady talent vs Jameis talent
It’s about Bucs D , featuring November and December 2019 NFL rookie of the month Devin White, NFL sack leader Shaq Barrett and no 1 run D and better secondary
And it’s about less turnovers and better run game because of Wirfs and Gronk.
Bucs will WIN because they will play winning football as a team.

  61. Kobe Faker Says:

    “History repeats itself?

    Doug Williams

    Trent Dilfer

    Steve Young

Life is like a box of chocolates”

    Kobe Faker

  62. Ndog Says:

Alanbucsfan you forgot those little things called penalties and kicks what have we done to address those issues? I know those were probably Jameis’s fault as well.

Also we’re putting a statue behind Donovan Smith and a rookie, what could go wrong?

  63. sincethebeginning Says:

Stories about America’s Scout Team QB will continue to appear on this site for as long as we all continue to click into them and read and respond. Really he’s America’s Clickbait QB, if you look at it from a JBF business angle. Wrong! Reality says a percentage of people don’t like Jameis, are over Jameis and have no interest in Jameis. Therefore, they’re not interested in reading about Jameis. It’s been that way for years. Joe writes about what Joe finds interesting as it relates to the Bucs. Joe’s written about Jameis the past couple of days as his comments were directly tied to the Bucs. –Joe

  64. Orlando Kevin Says:

Why the hell did it take him 5 years to get Lasik surgery if he thought it would make a difference?

  65. Tvan101 Says:

The Bucs will always be in his head, he will try so hard and give us 3 picks anytime he starts against us.

  66. Alanbucsfan Says:

    NDog-
Moving on from Dotson and more experienced secondary will help penalties
The kicking remains to be seen
Brady will not be as athletic as Jameis and Bucs will rely more on run game.
But Brady is also a smarter QB at this point so less mistakes (turnovers ) will be made.
The key to Bucs season is the D IMO.
And there’s alot of talent on both sides of ball.
Jameis will get another opportunity some day – hopefully he’ll learn and be better, but he’s no longer a Buc and Brady is.

  67. Bradybru Says:

N dog Take your poop somewhere else

  68. Ndog Says:

Yeah Brady a “Buc” for two years then what?

By the way he will never REALLY be a Buc and you all know that.

  69. ©MadMax Says:

$1.1 mill Jay-miss, americas turnover machine!!! HaHAHAHA….i hope they DO play you against us you POS!!!

You wont beat ANYTHING twice a year except your own piece of meat!!! Get that jit straight ya Dmbfk!!!!

$$1.1 mill…..”i be ballin” , yeah, playing with your own balls!!!!!!

    Mfn Joke!

  70. Lokog Says:

This fool just cant stop talking. All talk and no action

  71. Bradybru Says:

Super Bowl n dog you really need to stop being a debbiedowner

  72. Bradybru Says:

I’m so glad you all are setting n dog correct

  73. DBS Says:

Roach you are not bringing the fans down. Give it up!!!

  74. ©MadMax Says:

Hey Jay-miss….Lasik for the brain doesnt exist but you can google that jit if you need to….or get your lackey boy lap dog Ndog to help you figure it out!!

I swear, Low IQ and this kind of ish go hand in hand!

  75. Bradybru Says:

I like this site but I’m tired of hearing about n dogs boyfriend

  76. Bradybru Says:

Why can’t he accept responsibility for all his shortcomings. Maybe n dog can explain that

  77. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

Every time Jay Miss opens his sausagehole, he melts down. More dumb comments. Yeah, I know, because he was considered a great QB prospect, he was accepted into Stanford. I would love to know what Jay Miss scored on the SAT or ACT. I bet it was barely above signing his name.

  78. Bradybru Says:

N dog should move to N.O. To be with his boyfriend. They can warm a bench together.

  79. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

Ndog, you do realize your spooner is a #3 QB in the NFL right? I know you’re not too bright, but you do understand the difference between Hill’s contract and Jay Miss’s contract, right?
Jay Miss’s contract in the NFL is similar to walking by a pissed on quarter in the street and deciding whether or not to reach down and pick it up.
That’s about how much the Saints have spent by signing Jay Miss.

  80. Bradybru Says:

    Alvin love is blind❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

  81. Bradybru Says:

    love Is blind

  82. Tampabuscsbro Says:

    I KNEW IT,

Thanks for proving me right Ndog you cannot actually have ANY meaningful arguments except he threw for 5000 yards getting bailed out by his WRs all the way there.

Since he threw for 5000 yards HE THREW 30 INTECEPTIONS. and had 20 dropped by DBs he has always been turnover prone since he got into the NFL. so CHECK YO SHEET on that.

Granted Ndog is another football boomer that isn’t going to listen to modern facts or statistics and pass off deluded his narratives as fact.

  83. Bradybru Says:

N dog Is ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ No changing his mind

  84. Bradybru Says:

The fans are finally looking forward to football again. Go Bucs

  85. Inspired Says:

N dog, seriously buddy, I’m not trying to be an ass. Just so you know, I had Jameis’ back up until the end and then some. Listen, if you want to blame anybody, it’ll Have to be Jameis. You know this in your heart like I do. I’m not saying out loud to you that you should consider a different fight because I’m mocking you. In fact, not at all. The Truth of it is, is that at this point you’re making all the Jameis supporters look bad. It’s just too much man. You fought a Hell of a Fight to support him and keep him around. I was and haven’t stopped appreciating you for that.

But it’s over. And No Matter how loud and how far “especially you” tried to keep him here, it was Never up to you and I. It just never was. I also feel like we “Bucs Fans” just might have to pay the usual price for Short sight. No matter who is disrespecting you or me or any of us for wanting to keep him and stick it out with him, well it doesn’t matter.

I kinda wish you would remember how you used to be concerning Our Team. You were Brilliant with so many other subjects and Respected throughout this blog. Nobody had a bad word to say about you. It’s Clear to me that You are one of the Buccaneers Biggest Fans and I see that. It’s hard for me to believe this about you that it’s Jameis or Bust because you have had such insight on so much more than whoever was our QB. Please consider what I’m asking you to see about yourself. You bring So Much More to the table than only 1 position on our team. You don’t need to defend Jameis anymore. I was a Big believer in bringing Jameis in to learn under Brady so that he could take the reigns back sooner than later. And Yes, a better QB for it since that makes sense. At least it did to me.

Since it “feels like” BA didn’t give any other options. I feel like, and I hope I’m wrong with saying this, but maybe because of BA, he wasn’t welcome back… I hope I’m wrong about that… As far as I’m concerned, Licht and BA handled him with “No Class” and I’m NOT OK with how that went down! I am however saying THOUGH that Jameis DID need a reality check. He wasn’t worth “YET” the money he was insisting on. The reality is that Brady gave OUR BUCS a better deal than Winston was willing to give. Now THAT is where I realize that Jameis could use some more mentoring and time to understand. He just wasn’t there yet. And where Jameis is going WRONG is blaming ALL of BUC Nation for his mistakes. THAT MEANS YOU TO.. Have you read his comments Ndog?

I would Appreciate since I and You HAD HIS BACK that he was man enough to blame and or Better Yet, call out who Really did get him fired besides himself. It WASN’T Ndog, it WASN’T me, and it wasn’t the other 50 percent that had his back was it Ndog? No? Then why is he disrespecting you? Because at this point HE IS! And THAT’S WHY I’m now Done reading or commenting further on him. (And this write up is for You, not him) He’s still just a kid and it shows. And it’s pretty clear he’s Not speaking from his heart. He’s speaking from his Arse with the”company line”. PLUS there IS one more thing that I’m going to point out to you. He Himself Has Moved On. At Least with the Company Line… Why should you defend him further? He’s NOT asking you or me to. He’s Now Giving You and Me the Finger in case you didn’t notice.

Brother, you have A Lot More to Offer to guys (like me) who mostly just read and rarely comment than just Winston. You and I have way over 50 more guys to talk about whether good or bad. And DO NOT EVER FORGET, It takes a TEAM… No I’s in TEAM. And if the Bucs are still your team like they sure as the Sun Rises Are My Team, then embrace the new madness.

That’s up to you and on you going forward since he is Now telling you that you are Numero#1 with his middle finger. Is THAT really worth your dedication going forward? That’s Really ALL you need to ask yourself from here on out. Do you really want to be a victim marter? That’s just not who you are buddy. Unless you really do need help…

Ndog, thank you for trying your dead Level Best for the 50% that wanted him to stay with way better and Fair terms. Of which he may have been willing? It looks like it was just way too late one way or another to the cost to ALL OF OUR TEAM, ONE WAY OR THE OTHER

I wish I could have termed this to you more elegantly but I’m tired and I’ve had a long day. If Our BUCS have Your Passion then we won’t have to fear an “Entire Fleet” of Winston’s because we Couldn’t Be beat. Well Done

And again, you did your part. No need to keep cutting yourself and giving blood to the ungrateful as Winston doesn’t have the courage to offer you a true Thank You. Any supposed thank you’s came with a back handed “screw you” Go back and read his comments. You’ll see what I mean. To keep it up going forward brother, would make you a fool.

  86. Dewey Selmon Says:

Jameis threw 5.109 yards a 33 td with bad eyes, so that eliminates the excuse for 30 ints. The mike LB had 13 ints last year on Jameis. He always goes deep because he can’t process what is happening underneath. Ndog, you sound like a teenage girl who got dumped by her crush. You can’t get over it and you continue to whine an snivel hoping someone will take the bait and you can continue an argument about a player the rest of us have moved on from.

  87. Tampabuscsbro Says:

Also daily reminder you aren’t a real bucs fan unless Jameis1of1 has you blocked on twitter

  88. Bradybru Says:

True dat but Ndog will be his only follower, the bench and any scummy element too

  89. Afo Says:

@tampabycsbro he blocked me day before yesterday when got into a heated argument on Jamies

  90. Cobraboy Says:

    Dear Jameis:

    Your sauce is weak.

    Sincerely,

A former Supporter until your awesome 30/30 club induction.

  91. Jim Says:

Jameis is the gift who keeps on giving, eh Joe?

  92. Bradybru Says:

More like the crap that won’t shut up

  93. Bradybru Says:

    go Bucs

  94. Ivan The Insider Says:

Jameis Winston is the greatest QB of all time and will surely be in the Hall Of Fame.

Word on the street is that he’s so good they’re renaming Canton the “Hall Of Jameis”

  95. mark2001 Says:

Took him five seasons to figure out he needed Lasik. Wow. All I can say is, thanks dumb A. for playing with a sight handicap for five years, while scarfing down 60 million in Glazer money, and wasting 5 years of hard working fans hopes and dreams of a playoff opportunity. You didn’t play up to your potential. Swaggy Winston part 2, as far as I’m concerned.

  96. mark2001 Says:

So instead of humping palm trees in the preseason, he gets a suspension for Uber escapades. I don’t know which was more embarrassing to the city of Tampa and the region. Neither did all they could to win games for the Bucs…Baker took plays off…Jameis couldn’t see and did nothing about it for FIVE years. Glad we have rid ourselves of these Swaggy characters. Neither gave 100% to this team.

  97. JimmyJack Says:

Wow NDog…….Now you calling our own cheaters?

Over what? Absolutely nothing. Where’s your facts now boy? Up your ass along with your head I imagine.

Now you are confirmed a hater. Congrats.

    Such a fraud.

  98. T REX Says:

    ndog…Tampa Bay’s biggest vag!

I will pay to move that POS to Nawlins with his bae

  99. JimmyJack Says:

The funny thing is the Bucs are gonna stat winning this year. And by far the biggest difference will be QB.

We brought in hardly any new experienced players for this team aside from a singular TE. Oh, and a backup swing tackle.

And you can already see the narritive starting……The haters will say we never built a team like the 2020 Bucs around Winston. We never gave him what he needed. And will will essentially be the same freaking team hahahaha. The haters are deranged at this point and that’s their guaranteed narritive for the 2020 season.

  100. mark2001 Says:

Ndog…Brady may never be a full fledged Buc..certainly will never be going into the HOF as a Buc.

But when just stating the obvious, it is just as clear to see even to one that has never had Lasik but could use it, that Jameis will likely never be a successful starting QB in the NFL.

    So what is the point?

  101. SteveK Says:

    Ndog

I checked my sheet and say Ryan Griffin and Blaine Gabbert are making more base salary than Jameis.

I also checked my sheet and saw other backup QBs getting paid more:

    Mariota
    CJ Beathard
    RG3
    Colt McCoy
    Matt Schaub
    Aj macaron.

  102. I’m a Tandyman Bucs Fan Again Says:

Americas QB plays for the Saints now!! Doubt he see’s the field but if he does I still believe he will be throwing it to the Pewters!!!! LOL Bet he won’t be America’s Quarterback in Mew Oleans!!!!

  103. Oneilbucs Says:

Ndog they blame Jamies for everything and now that we have Brady it’s not superbowl or bust . But it is superbowl or bust Brady is 43 years old not 26 years old . And not to mention this is not the New England defense or coaches . And think about this how can yall blame Jamies when this franchise has never develope a quarterback in the history of the team . It’s superbowl or bust No excuses yall didn’t make no excuse for Jamies every lost was his fault so every lost will be Brady fault .

  104. JimmyJack Says:

If you say this season is Super Bowl or bust that means the change at QB is already a success.

Funny how you make one change at QB and you go from perrinal cellar dwellers to talking about Super Bowls………The haters in their own deranged way are trying to undermine the Brady signing by saying SB or bust…….But they are actually highlighting exactually why this was the best move for the franchise.

  105. BigHog Says:

Hey…they calling for the Hog! I tried to stay low-key but they keep calling…let me see what they saying….it doesn’t matter what they say because the number 1 problem is the Tampa Bay BUCS didn’t or couldn’t build a TEAM around FAMOUS…THE GUNSLINGER…Mr. 5,000 take your pick of nick names and he would go out week after week and make you proud of the one you picked…no run game for five years is what made this team hollow…bad kickers made this team a joke…no DEFENCE is a team with no heart!!! I’m a BUCS fan from the day they came to the bay!!! He is gone now, and I know this will hurt some you to know but as an organization, yes they picked him #1 on the draft but after that great moment, they failed him and so did a majority of this so called fan base,…how you people carried on about baseless rape allegations

  106. Dapostman Says:

    @JimmyJack,

It may be the best move for this franchise in the SHORT term of two years. After that no one knows since Brady may be gone.

It may also not be the best move in the SHORT term if Brady and the Bucs don’t make the playoffs because they could have stayed home and still have a young QB who many believe will get better. Staying home with an aging QB is not where you want to be,

    See Los Angeles Chargers

  107. adam from ny Says:

    Ndog –

    get your sheet straight…

tom gravy has thrown for very close to 5,000 yards 3 times…

and he has thrown for over 5,000 yards once…

he has also throw for 50 td’s in a season…

his name is spelled G-O-A-T bruhhhhh

jameis is like a frog sitting on a lily pad right now…

  108. adam from ny Says:

in tom’s career, basically every time he throws 18 interceptions he has thrown 54 tds…

so for every 18 ints he tosses across the board, he tosses 54 td’s for his career…

    these are not season averages…

    just accumulative career numbers…

    get that ndog…???

for every 54 tds he tosses he tosses 18 ints…

i will not repeat this again

  109. lewis Says:

Jameis is gone wonder who Joe going to relieve himself to now ?

  110. BucBoy Says:

SteveK, will you make 1 million this year or $20 million in a lifetime, like Jameis did last year. You all ignorant, hateful so-called fans are going to be crushed when Jameis cause us hell for years to come. Call me what you want, been a Buc fan from the beginning and season ticket holder since 1999. But That’s My QB! And I’ve been hating Brady for 20 years and won’t be rooting for him or Gronk now.

  111. Jordan L Says:

Lol all of you crack me up.

  112. Mike Johnson Says:

This franchise is snake bit. We give a 43 yr old beat up has been 50 mil for 2 yrs then we turn around and give a guy 10 mil to play 6 to 10 games who has not completed a season since 2011. Its ok to be desperate but to panic is another.
    I’m just waitin…………

  113. kyle Says:

Jameis sounds like the coddled spoiled little brat that he is..

  114. Mr Magoo Says:

I think labeling him America’s Backup Quarter back is hilarious. Why would anyone want Joe to stop?

  115. Jmarkbuc Says:

    Vinny #1 overall.. colorblind

JW couldn’t see for five years…nobody noticed?

    It’s a Bucs life.

I hold Joe responsible. He must have posted 1000 pics of Jaboo squinting. We just all thought he had a goofy face.

  116. nfl fan Says:

JM gonna beat the BUCS 2X a year for the rest of his life as a Saint. I must be missing some stuff here…Saints only signed JM for 1 year on a sympathy contract. So even if Brees gets injured, Saints going to start JM and not Taysom? Someone is smoking some sweet stuff here…

  117. BigHog Says:

and crab legs and you all know that if they could have proven he raped that girl he would be in prison today …but she was too drunk to keep her story straight now does that mean he didn’t do it …no but it does mean he is not guilty of any of the allegations levied against him because there was no charges brought against him yet you talked about him like a dog and they still kicking at him and he gone, some have already began to sh*t bricks…because they know that THE GUNSLINGER is capable of putting the burn down on a grass field as if it was soaked in gasoline ….you people already know that he’s gonna give you at least one pick-6 and a couple of turnovers but what if he doesn’t do that …what if he comes back and plays like an All-Pro, that’s SMOKE that no DEFENCE can see thru…let him go…stop kicking, that’s not gonna shut him up or keep him down!! But if he makes it back here to play …you know he is gonna wanna kick your ass and remember he didn’t want this you people asked for it! GO BUCS…..but that BLACK-N-GOLD tho!!

  118. ©MadMax Says:

By the way he will never REALLY be a Buc and you all know that.

Hey Ndog, Brady’s a Buccaneer. Say it out load. Sounds good, doesn’t it!? Get used to it cause he could be here longer than you think.

Brees is retiring after this year & Brady will go on possibly beating his records, in a Bucs Uniform. ALL TIME RECORDS. Don’t be so ignorant.

Winston’s statement proves to all LOYAL Bucs fans, He’s the enemy. Like him or hate him, he plays for a division rival now.

Look how many Brady fans are rooting for the Bucs Now. Go be a Winston fan & root for your boy… Just do it somewhere else!

This is TOMPA Bay now baby!!!!

    Go Bucs!!

Jameis never played a playoff game. Never won the Division. I don’t care how many TEAM records he sets if you’re not winning, you’re not very good. Good QB’s find a way to win….

  138. SteveK Says:

    BucBoy,

I wish Jameis well! And I’m glad we have Brady to QB the Bucs. I was pointing out to NDog that the QB he calls people “clueless” for criticizing couldn’t score a backup deal worth more in base salary than those peers. It’s not a slight at Jameis, just pointing out his market. Hell, Cam Newton and Andy Dalton both remain unsigned.

  148. Christos Says:

I am not taking part of the Jameis debate not worth it anymore. Just want to say something about the topic that many times comes up about Bucs QBs that went to other teams and won Superbowls. Doug Williams yes, Steve Young yes but he went to an already Superbowl team. What i dont understand is that there are many references about Dilfer like it was Bucs mistake to let him go, i mean come on guys. You do realize that the Ravens won a Superbowl with arguably one of the top 3 defences of all time and it was not because of Dilfer, he had an almost 1500 yards and 12TD/11INT season is not like he lead tem to the trophy. I dont think there was one person of all of us Bucs fans that he would make a decision to keep Dilfer. I laugh everytime i see that mention come on guys Dilfer. Go Bucs hope everyone is safe.

  149. Bigpaa43 Says:

I’m going to say this to all you haters. Kiss Jameis rear end. He made a lot of money being the No.1 pick so he is just fine making what he is making in New Orleans. The Bucs will not be in the Super Bowl no matter who the QB is. 3 Head coaches in 5 years. Dysfunctional Organization to say the least. If they make it to the Super Bowl they probably will get on a plane to get there. Smh.

  150. Bigbucfan90 Says:

Everything that he has done since joining the saints I feel insulted he should’ve had his vision fixed when he was drafted smh

  152. ©MadMax Says:

So Ndog, you’re going to attend the games as a backstabbing Buc fan? Yeah right, i call BS on that!!

You’re an aints fan now, so maybe that one game we play them so you can get all wet down there for a glimpse of your boi….stupid tranny!

  153. Hodad Says:

It’s going to be hard beating the Bucs twice a year for the rest of your life on a one year deal lol. Jameis is going to be carrying Tayson Hills shoulder pads during practice! You’re on a one year deal dude as the third string QB. Get to a second contract with N.O. like you couldn’t with the Bucs then start talking. Until then sit at the end of the bench keeping Brees seat warm.

  154. mark2001 Says:

bbf90…exactly. It isn’t like color blindness, which is basically not treatable relative to T’s game play. Poor Vision? With Lasik? Just the opposite. It is a relatively common procedure, and Jameis’s own words said it was greatly successful and he can see better.

If a player chooses to not deal with such a thing, easily treatable, he is choosing to play at a lower level than he is capable of. That is no different than coming in out of shape and overweight, or taking plays off.

It just goes to show he never was what his worshipers thought he was.. on the field he is swaggy baker Winston, a guy not playing up to his capabilities, who has also lost game time due to questionable behavior and suspension for his conduct. Off the field, he has been a questionable character from time to time.

I was willing to let many of these things pass without talking about the crystal clear reality what it meant about this guy as a franchise QB. But since he is talking about how he was mistreated in Tampa, it is time to set the record on this straight.

  155. PhillyBuc Says:

No doubt, as some have already pointed out, the the Saints brought him in for some intel. They’ll probably trade him before week 8 if a QB or 2 goes down elsewhere. Wonder how many games he’ll even dress for as QB3?

  156. WDN4L Says:

Dear Bucs fans: You probably will never compete against Winston while he is a Saint, his time here will be short. Now that is out the way I just want to say I look forward to our teams competing whenever the season starts. Not sure what either of oir teams will get from our future HOF QB’s but it should bring out the best in both just to finally get to compete twice a season for what could be the last ride for both.

You guys have a damn good squad even without Brady, I’m lit and excited to see how it all turns out….I will not wish you good luck, seems backwards so I’ll wish your team good health instead. WHO DAT?!!!

  157. BigHog Says:

PhillyBuc: There is no doubt that you don’t know coon sh*t from wild honey!

  158. Buc1987 Says:

    Ndog Says:

“So let me get this straight we got rid of a guy who just threw for 5,000 yards and his eyes are getting better and replace him with a much older version of a guy who didn’t come close to 5,000 yards and his vision is getting worse cuz he’s getting older typical Bucs sound like a great plan.”

    Like a broken record.

  159. Tbbucs3 Says:

I love how triggered people get when Joe writes “America’s Quarterback, Jameis Winston.”

    Love it.

  160. Tbbucs3 Says:

Jameis is the #1 best backup in the NFL right right and it’s not even close. Better than Mariota, Scaub Gabbert all of them.

And if your the best back up in the league at only 26 years old, you will get another chance. Especially when youve already proven your capable of playing at a elite level.

  161. ©MadMax Says:

JW had elite talent in ME13, CG14, and Brate…..so dont think for a second those players didnt account for A LOT of his yards! Granted, JW did have 5 to 10 beautiful throws throughout the season each year, but thats not enough to hold it together as a starter in the NFL…..but Low IQ fktards will never get that!

  162. mark2001 Says:

Number one back up? Sure…the one million dollar man.

And no, he isn’t the best backup… if he acts like a child and thumps a helmet or allegedly grab a uber driver, he will just bring suspensions and embarrassment to a city that has seen about everything. If he throws thirty ints and has a half dozen fumbles, he isn’t the best backup. That is a the picture of a questionable backup… aka…an incident or int. waiting to happen. And the way he is talking leads me to believe he will never change or grow up. Some guys don’t.

  163. mark2001 Says:

Manziel looked great playing with Evans… Winston looked great (passing yards) playing with Evans, Godwin, and Perriman. Get the picture?

  164. mark2001 Says:

When will some of you accept the fact that Evans and Godwin are great receivers..Second team All Pro, in fact?

And that Perriman played some of his best NFL football the end of last year.

To make it sound like Swaggy had 5000 passing yards through his pure talent, personal effort, and will power, is bizarre.

  165. Tbbucs3 Says:

    Mark2001

Comparing college stats to NFL? Wouldn’t expect anything less from a Winston hater. Oh and news flash…..Perriman isn’t good he only had inflated numbers because of Winston. Perriman will fade away with the Jets.

  166. Buc1987 Says:

“It’s Not Just About, You Know, Beating The Bucs Twice A Year Every Year For The Rest Of My Life.”

Geez the stuff 3rd string QB’s say.

  167. BucBoy Says:

Is it possible that Jameis made his receivers better? Who was Brate and Humphries before Jameis? Updraft players now making millions. Mike Evans is a great receiver and Godwin is coming into his own, but Jameis is a big reason they BOTH had 1000 yard seasons. Look at Perriman…another cast-off whom Jameis made millions. The same happened in college, Jameis made the receiver that was drafted right after ME and the tight end, and now they both are journeymen. Jameis just needed a supporting cast (RB and defense), we got rid of him but is supplying it to 43 year-old rent-a-QB Tom Brady!

  168. mark2001 Says:

Bucboy..misguided logic. Evans made Manziel look like a first round QB. They guy wasn’t even good enough for the XFL. Perriman looked like a castoff, until Jameis broke his thumb. So based upon your logic, we could assume that Swaggy just needs to break his thumb to make his receivers better.

  169. mark2001 Says:

Seems alot of similarity between college and the NFL involving Jameis.

He threw risky balls and fumbled in college…does the same in the NFL.

He only looked very talented overall because of talented receivers and players around him in both situations.

He had allegations of sexual crimes and misdemeanor in college and in the NFL.

He badmouths anyone that doesn’t do what he wants, regardless of the time and effort they made to help him succeed.

Thanks for making my point…Swaggy will never change.

  170. mark2001 Says:

And BTW…Arians knew it too…that is why, in the end, he said it like it was, and made him third or forth string in free agency.

Swaggy is a coach killer, a game wrecker… self-destructucting on the field or off the field when least expected… and a guy that couldn’t lead a parade.

It is what it is…accept reality.

  171. BucBoy Says:

I’m sorry Mark. I guess they were throwing the football to themselves. I find it ironic that through all the years of professional football only 8 QBs have thrown for 5000 yards and Jameis is one of them, but we let him go at 26 years old to replace him with a 43 year old. And I don’t care if its Tom Brady. I could understand if it was Aaron Rodgers, who have many years left but Brady has 2 years at the most.

  172. Tbbucs3 Says:

“Evans made Manziel look like a first round QB.”

Right Mark101 this play never happens without the mighty Mike Evan’s presence

    https://youtu.be/DtxaHwgr6ZQ

Maybe Manziel was insanely good in college?

Comparing college to NFL for QBs is so dumb

  173. mark2001 Says:

No BB…you are sorry that Jameis never sniffed a playoff game, was a 30/30 guy, that never corrected his eyesite over a five year period with this team because he really wasn’t willing to give 100% to this team, that we were basically a laughing stock the last five years, that self destructed in the few games that we were on a national broadcast, and that one national broadcaster actually called Swaggy Winston the Defensive player of the year, because of the number of games he torched our team.

I agree that it would be nice if Brady was younger. But if Arians is correct, with the team we are assembling, there are many QB’s that can win with this team. And Jameis was no better than most. So we have lost nothing…and gained the possibility of a deep playoff run.

  174. TOM Says:

Dude. Beating the Bucs twice a year the rest of your life. HELLO! You do know your on a ONE year contract?

  175. SteveK Says:

    BucBoy,

Dude, did you know that in 2018 Jameis and Fitzpatrick spilt the season, and threw for more yards and TDs, with less picks than Jameis did in 2019?

  176. Bradybru Says:

He will do it in his mind, he is schizoid and delusional. It’s very sad, he is truly a crazy person.

  177. SufferingSince76 Says:
