It Was All Brady

May 7th, 2020

Bruce Arians gives props.

City-park-violating, home-invading Bucs quarterback Tom Brady did all the heavy lifting.

Today, Bucs coach Bucco Bruce Arians, looking like he was sitting on his boat dock at his Georgia lakefront home, made an appearance on “NFL Live,” seen and heard on BSPN. There, Arians admitted future Hall of Fame tight end Rob Gronkowski landed on the Bucs’ roster largely thanks to Brady.

When asked by host Wendi Nix how the Gronk trade went down, Arians gave the credit to Brady and Bucs AC/DC-loving general manager Jason Licht.

“It was really Tom,” Arians said. “Tom brought it up to me. I didn’t even think it was a possibility that [Gronk] even wanted to come back.”

Gronk retired after the 2018 season and turned professional wrestler and part-time football commentator.

Brady “was adamant about it,” Arians added. Gronk, Brady told Arians, “really wants to play. And he’d love to play for us.”

After that, Arians said Licht began talking turkey with the Belicheats and “the compensation was there,” Arians said. [Gronk] “is in great shape and he’s raring to go.”

* Arians said he hoped the offense under Brady would “run a lot smoother” adding turnovers were a problem last year. No, sorry, Arians didn’t call anyone out.

* On Brady settling in with the Bucs, Arians said, “He’s going to learn our offense. We’re going to do a lot of collaboration together on the things he likes once he gets to know our weapons.”

* Arians said it is easier for a “smart quarterback” to learn a new offense than for the rest of the offense to learn a new offense. So that is why Arians is not implementing Bill Belicheat’s offense.

* On his podcast recently, Gronk wondered if Arians would try to blindside him in the hallway like Rowdy Roddy Piper since Gronk is the defending WWE champion, trying to dethrone Gronk and claim the belt. Arians laughed and said, “He better keep his head on a swivel.”

* On Brady having two brushes with the law in his first few weeks with the team, Arians said this is an example of why one should not tangle with “Mayor Jane,” who he described as “pretty tough.” Of course, it was one of Tampa mayor Jane Castor’s goons who ran Brady out of a city park for violating shutdown rules. Arians also said Brady should “learn the land a little bit better, quickly.”

* Arians said the first thing he looks for when the schedule is released (it’s expected to be released tonight), is when and where the Bucs will be playing cold-weather games. Arians added players and “everyone” associated with the team is excited about primetime games.

* Interestingly, Arians believes the toughest hurdle for coaches to clear in virtual OTAs is battling short attention spans of “younger” players. Arians believes if the Bucs can get on-the-field reps at some point the team should be fine.

* When asked what would determine success for the 2020 Bucs, Arians had a two-word answer. “The playoffs.” Then he added, “We set a goal every year to win the Super Bowl. You can’t win the Super Bowl until you get to the playoffs.”

Brady mailed it in last year after they released Antonio Brown and I was okay with it. Belichick screwed Brady over in the Eagles super bowl benching butler then tried to trade gronk the next year. My opinion Brady resents Belichick for Butler benching and was never able to get over it. Selling his house last yr, left Best Buddies charity made massage parlor cameo with Paul Rudd writing was on the wall and the grand plan was for Brady and gronk to team up again.

I am not a professional writer and barely graduated college so I am sure I missed commas and have misspellings run on sentences so go ahead laugh

Brady came to win and I love it. He’s not here to collect huge checks or enjoy a soft coach… he came to win and win big. Anything but a SB appearance will disappoint Brady. I’ll do my best to be as demanding… but after the last 5-year fiasco even a sniff of the playoffs is going to be sweet.

That is so true, but is not Joebucsfan either, I thought it was, but more and more everyday is clear than is : JoeJWfan before anything else …. at least for now….the anger of kicking out JW is very deep to the owner of this site…. and a bunch of other losers …. FSU fans…. Apparently it makes you feel good to make things up. –Joe

Exactly crazyBucs, The owners of this site were really mad when we ditched him. I am still perplexed why so many people are still angry. Are they all FSU fans? I would have never expected this site to be this angry after moving on from him.

every morning since this great thing happen to our team and our city, i open your site to read what is new about the team and Tom…. unfortunate vast majority of articles and opinions are: how Bucs may have make a big mistake; a mistake by getting Tom, and letting go JW. That’s just not accurate. The archives are here for all to see. –Joe
i’m hoping one day, you are going to let go this non sense…. and be positive for the great opportunity is representing to our TB area …

90% of the fans are optimistic and feeling the most excitement from a buccaneer team since the super bowl run.

A handful are extremely ignorant about football and hateful. they constantly just try to piss others off and as much as we would like to ignore them, it is hard to. It is irritating. It makes me not want to come to the site.

Let the masses enjoy this optimism and just start banning these loser trolls. No fan in their right mind would predict this team is going to have four wins. The schedule came out, I see 12 – 4

  20. William Berry Says:

@buccaboo – I agree. Actual goons resent the implication, I’m sure.
