Fun With Quarterbacks

May 8th, 2020

“I’ll be there too!”

Not sure how many people have pointed this out already, but even if the Bucs were predicted to remain in their customary seat on the NFC South bus — last place — this is a fun home schedule.

Joe’s favorite saying from his old friend, the late Dean of Tampa Bay sports radio, the “Big Dog,” Steve Duemig, was a passionate response to a critic of former Bucs great Mike Alstott. Duemig blared at the caller, “If you like football you like Mike Alstott, and if you don’t like football, you’re a dumb@ss!”

This is somewhat went through Joe’s head while seeing the Bucs’ home schedule. If you like quarterbacks, you like the schedule.

For example, these quarterbacks are visiting the Den of Depression: Aaron Rodgers. Drew Brees, Jared Goff (who was quite good two years ago), Pat Mahomes, Pro Bowler Kirk Cousins and of course, Matty Ice.

And if you don’t like quarterbacks, well…

    No mention of America’s Quarterback?

That wk 5-12 stretch where the Bucs can realisticaly be on national TV 7 of those 8 games is wild. A lot of these QB matchups are during that. Gonna be a helluva fun stretch!

Maybe we can actually move forward and talk about the awesome QB match ups that we’re going to see next year like (Brady v Mahomes, Brady v Rodgers) instead of being immature and slandering a name that is not irrelevant to the Bucs (even though his picture is still up in Ray Jay)

Who doesn’t like Mike Alstott on and off the field?

    What a great guy!

Joe you know who else is going to be there?

Tom Freakin’ Brady! (in my best Peter Griffin voice)

when we’re sitting with a bye week going into the playoffs, who cares. LOL

  9. Tye Says:

The reality that is still hard to believe is that Brady won’t be visiting but a constant in RJS…
Defenses will now come respecting the offense and not expecting tons of opportunity to score on the Bucs multiple times!

Awesome! Pinch me, I must be dreaming.

I love the salt flowing through the nut huggers veins. They are grasping for straws and I love it they’ve got nothing.

I believe 2020 may be the year that the Buc’s come out of the closet and re-introduce themselves to football fans all over the country. I sincerely hope the virus doesn’t dilute the season to the point where we lose our opportunity to play meaningful football in prime time with what appears to be a solid team. Reminds me of the days when Joe Montana and the 49er’s ruled the gridiron.

  15. Bruce Blahak Says:

WinSTUNNED lol. Short on stock photos

  16. ItzOK Says:

I shocked the Green bay and Chiefs Games weren’t on prime time. Can’t wait for our home games this year. F**K the Wuhan open the stadiums and lets fire the cannons

  17. SirClicksAlot Says:

Joe, what could possibly be fun about being in last place?!? Doesn’t matter who’s coming to town, just win baby!

  18. TomTerrific Says:

    @Joe

Let us know when soi boy Jamoist makes the postseason as a starter. My guess is it never happens. But you’re the expert. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

RIP Big Dog, miss you brother! We agreed more often than not and there was always mutual respect. Would love to hear your thoughts on the Buc’s offseason domination and how they’ve transformed from league doormat to prime time darlings overnight. Can’t say it enough, kudos to Glazers and Licht for assembling all the players and coaches while flipping the culture at the same time.
