  1. Tampabaybucfan Says:

We expended some capital using our 4th round picks which will make it difficult to trade up…..so we may end up with a less desirable RB….but we still need to pick one….maybe reaching a bit for Akers….

Unless a OJ trade comes into play tonight…..

  2. Coburn Says:

Still prefer a safety because I think we can get a decent back in 3rd. But I get the urgency. I think our run game will be better because of wirfs and Gronk by default

  3. ATrain Says:

    GO BUCS!!!!!

  4. John Says:

    RB
    S
or a RB and QB prospect

  5. JGhotier Says:

Winfield Jr. baby. Pa pa please!

  6. Alaskan Abdominal Snowman Says:

Agree with Coburn. Maybe we could end up with Akers or Moss in the early 3rd.

  7. QBKilla Says:

    RB please and trade O.J.

  8. Afo Says:

Get Dobbins and don’t trade up

  9. Jean Lafitte Says:

we’ve got a 5th, 6th and two 7th’s and OJ as ammunition to move back into the 2nd if need be

  10. Amastro941 Says:

Fromm or Eason as a developmental to ride the bench for two years?

  11. Afo Says:

    Get Dobbins man

  12. Bangkok Buc Says:

2 of the following would be ideal in my humble opinion:
    RB
    DL
    WE
    Safety

  13. Bangkok Buc Says:

    Winfield Jr would be sweet.
    Honey Bager 2.0

  14. Jean Lafitte Says:

It’s going to be interesting how they sign UDFA’s without getting much facetime

  15. Rod Munch Says:

Don’t need a RB, we already have a high 2nd round pick playing RB.

We do however need a #3 WR.

  16. Tampabuscsbro Says:

    TIME FOR A SAFETY

Safety is our most pressing concern right now there is enough good backs we can snag one in the third round.

  17. Rod Munch Says:

    Is Kurt Warner transitioning?

  18. JimmyJack Says:

I kinda like Day 2 better. This is the real meat and potatoes of the draft.

    GO BUCS!!!!!

  19. Alaskan Abdominal Snowman Says:

I like those 3 safety’s left, also Epenesa would be a colossal steal here. Baun, Shenault, Pittman. I would take one of those now and get a RB with the next pick.

  20. ©MadMax Says:

Trade our 45 and OJ to NE’s #37 (they need a TE)….and if XavMck is there, you take him….or get a RB

  21. BucsFan81 Says:

I want the best RB we can draft to go with Rojo and complete this epic offense. So much talent still left in this draft. I hope we get a Safety also.

  22. Bucs Guy Says:

RB, S AND DT TONIGHT. Lots of high value in these positions of need tonight. Big drop off in these positions after the 3rd rd. To do this we need to trade OJ to get the 3rd pick. Need to get back up into the 4th with our later picks so we can get a WR. There will be a few 2nd/3rd rd graded WRs that are still available in the 4th.

  23. CalBucsFan Says:

@Amastro If picking a QB, I would take Fromm with this pick.

  24. Rod Munch Says:

Goodell is such a tool. I’ve never been on the booing him bandwagon, I just never cared – but him reading these cue cards while pretending to interact with the people on webcams is just so douchey.

  25. JimmyJack Says:

Oh yes baby WR WR WR!!!! take them all teams!! If these Receivers keep going we are gonna be looking great.

  26. FortMyersDave Says:

Tee Higgens off the board. Need an RB Bucs fans.

  27. Bucs Guy Says:

The only QB worth anything is Hurt. No Fromm, no Easton, no 3rd day developmental QB.
We have greater needs. Get a QB in the 1st rd in 2021.

  28. Alaskan Abdominal Snowman Says:

I agree no QB, we are all in baby

  29. Rod Munch Says:

    God damnit.

  30. Rod Munch Says:

Pittman Jr just looks so pro-ready – reminds me so much of Evans.

  31. ©MadMax Says:

    Run on WR’s……LOVE IT!

  32. Rod Munch Says:

Well get the best OT on the board if they slide – have a guy ready to go for Smith next year and free up $15m.

  33. Rod Munch Says:

Can ESPN stop with these god damn ‘everyone is a victim’ and ‘we have to tell their sob story’ crap with every pick. I’m here to watch sports, not watch a drama geared at women.

  34. ©MadMax Says:

    @Rod, i love the idea, but no…..we’re not going O line 2nd and 3rd.

We need a Safety hunter and RB.

  35. Scotty in Fat Antonio Says:

    There goes Swift

  36. Alaskan Abdominal Snowman Says:

    Oh snap

  37. Bucs Guy Says:

That’s 1 of 4 off the board at RB

  38. Rod Munch Says:

As a reminder, the same people who are begging for a RB tonight were the same ones begging for a RB in the 2nd when we took Ronnie.

  39. ©MadMax Says:

Switch to NFL network Rod, thats not showing.

  40. FortMyersDave Says:

Damn, Swift off of the board.

  41. David Says:

    Swift
    Taylor
    Akers
    Dobbins

    My preference in order.
Absolutely no doubt they are taking a RB If one of those 4 are available

  42. Alaskan Abdominal Snowman Says:

    Still 6 good RBs

  43. Rod Munch Says:

MadMax – I’m OK with a S, at least it’s a need. RB is not a need – plenty available in free agency who would cost nothing.

  44. Alaskan Abdominal Snowman Says:

    Dobbins
    Moss
    Taylor
    Akers
    Dillon
    Benjamin

  45. Soberinsac Says:

    Noooo!! Darnit

  46. David Says:

    Dammmmit.
    Swift gone

One of the other need to last 9 more picks.

  47. John Says:

    there goes Swift

  48. Scotty in Fat Antonio Says:

    There goes McKinney

  49. Rod Munch Says:

MadMax – It’s the same thing on NFL or ESPN. They started with Pittman talking about him stu…stuuu….stuuuuuttttterrrring, but that didn’t get much traction so they moved on. But last night everything was about why someone has it so bad, then 10 minutes of commercials where companies tell you why they care so much about it… It was awful. I just want to hear about the players abilities, see highlights, specs, etc- not 4 minutes about their uncle dying in 1982.

  50. JimmyJack Says:

I do want one defensive player tonight. That’s all I ask for and I don’t care what position. Whichever player Bowles wants.

Just don’t ignore the defense is all I want.

Also getting OJ off my team would be nice. I am so ready to stop rooting for that guy.

  51. Bird Says:

Cmon. We had zero chance at swift unless bucs moved up

  52. Bucs Guy Says:

I think the Bucs will end up with Akers. Bears and Jags need a RB and a few others picking before us. If Dobbins and Taylor are gone, do you pick Akers at #45 or do you go S and hope Akers or Gibson is there in the 3rd? Maybe AJ Dillon.

  53. David Says:

If Taylor Akers or Dobbins are available there’s no chance they do not take a RB.
    Why is that a discussion?
    It’s laughable.
Just like yesterday when some people started claiming they were going to take a wide receiver. What a joke. Stop trying to outsmart the room. It’s been tackle then running back in rounds one and two the entire time.

IF one of those three running back‘s are not available then maybe they go safety or D line.

  54. ©MadMax Says:

    FK. Xav gone!

    Alright, Davis/Dugger!

  55. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

Give me a top 5 RB in Round 2 and a fast WR in Round 3.

  56. David Says:

    Akers or Taylor or Dobbins.
    Must get one

  57. Scotty in Fat Antonio Says:

    Dugger….GONE!

  58. JimmyJack Says:

I’m with Rod. We haven’t had no sports. I wanna see the clips of bone crushing hits. If I want a tear jerker I’ll catch a flick with my wife.

  59. Rod Munch Says:

Where you all getting the picks so early – or you just guessing?

  60. David Says:

Looking good…. 3 RBs and 8 picks to go

  61. Ivan The Insider Says:

Bucs won’t get one of the Top 4 backs as I predicted a week ago.

CEH gone last night, Swift now off the board. Dolphins for sure will take Taylor or Dobbins. Teams know the Bucs are desperate for a RB and will move ahead of them if the 4th one is left right before the Bucs pick.

Bucs should move up now for Taylor or they’re going to be left with a RB that’s too much of a gamble.

  62. Scotty in Fat Antonio Says:

    You Tube Live show

  63. David Says:

Rod- ESPN is several seconds behind NFL network

  64. Bucsmarley Says:

Safety then draft rb out of Memphis then qb or wr

  65. Alaskan Abdominal Snowman Says:

For real they are still talking about McKinney. Wthy

  66. FortMyersDave Says:

Kyle Dugger? Okay, Bellicheat goes for small school talent.

  67. David Says:

    Well… maybe about 2-3 seconds.

  68. Alaskan Abdominal Snowman Says:

Dang the Patriots suck at drafting.

  69. Bird Says:

    Wow

Belicheat the man but that kid available in third

  70. Scotty in Fat Antonio Says:

    Gross-Matos….GGGGGGONE!

  71. David Says:

Why do people think they’re going to take a safety? If one of the top three running back‘s left our available, there’s no chance in hell they take a safety. Absolutely none.
The only safety worth taking before the next round is Winfield and he is about 5’8”. No thanks

  72. Rod Munch Says:

If you want a late round QB pick, or maybe a FA guy, look at Josh Love. Watching him play, the way the ball comes out of his hand and such, looks like Drew Brees. Not saying he is or anything, but if they want a 5th round flyer on a QB, that’s who I’m picking.

  73. JimmyJack Says:

Dang we needed a bigger run on WRs

  74. ©MadMax Says:

    get on utube…. chat sports

  75. David Says:

I hope they get a 4th for OJ and draft Fromm to learn from Brady. Same type. Smart and accurate.

  76. ItzOK Says:

Safety or RB . Taylor or Winfield JR. Prefer the Safety cause this guy reminds me of Honey badger who can shore up the back end of our defense. draft a QB in round 7 because its a waist of a pick

  77. Alaskan Abdominal Snowman Says:

NFL: we want to help you escape from all of this tragedy.

(Shows tragic story after tragic story)

  78. FortMyersDave Says:

Robert Hunt to the Fins! Good for Bucs.

  79. Scotty in Fat Antonio Says:

    Robert Hunt…OG Gone

  80. ©MadMax Says:

    Alright, get our RB Licht!

  81. John Says:

Miami pick in. Here goes another RB

  82. Wesley Says:

Fromm blows, don’t you dare Jason.

  83. JimmyJack Says:

Hey can you guys not say the picks early? Trust me it doesn’t make you cool

  84. Rod Munch Says:

“See, when you come out of those up-tempo g-d numbers, man, it’s impossible to make those transitions, and then you gotta go into somebody dying. You know, they do this to me all the time. I don’t know what the heel they do it for, but God d— it if we can’t come out of a slow record. I don’t understand it. Is Don on the phone? Okay. I want a godd— concerted effort to come out of a record that isn’t a f—ing up-tempo record every time I do a godda– death dedication! Now make it..and I also wanna know what happened to the pictures I was supposed to see this week! This is the god..last godd— time. I want somebody to use his f—ing brain to not come out of a godd— record that is that’s up-tempo and I gotta talk about a f—ing dog dying!” – Casey Kasem

  85. Pa Privateer Says:

SOB I really didn’t want Gross-Matos to be in our division. He is going to be good.

  86. David Says:

There were two of you talking about Duggar?!? Really??? LoL.
No one but a handful of scouts have even heard of this guy before a few weeks ago, give me a break. He played against high school talent. Pretty sure you never saw him play.
Not ragging on you, I just find it amusing.
It’s like how everyone becomes a horse expert when the Kentucky derby rules around. It’s laughable

  87. Rod Munch Says:

I use with work with Robert Hunt’s uncle, Mike.

    Get it?!?

  88. Año Says:

How are these guys getting the pucks so early? I’m watching on TV and the hey haven’t come close to announcing the pick.

  89. ©MadMax Says:

    Taylor!

  90. Scotty in Fat Antonio Says:

Bucs should not have to reach for a good player at 45

  91. David Says:

    Wesley
Fromm is an extremely smart and accurate game manager. He’s a good leader and has a drive. He’s exactly like Brady when Brady was in college. Having him sit behind Brady for a year or two would be awesome.
He’s also carried the team when necessary.
Aside from a three-game stretch last year, he was consistent and getting better his entire career.

  92. Adrnagy Says:

    Aj epenosa
    Ross Blacklock
    Delpit

    No offense.

  93. David Says:

Awesome! Miami did NOT take a RB

  94. Scotty in Fat Antonio Says:

Might the Bucs trade down here?

  95. Ivan The Insider Says:

WOW! Dolphins don’t go RB. Shocker. Great news for us as they were one of the teams that really needed a RB.

  96. David Says:

3 top RBs left and only 5 picks before the Bucs.
    Fantastic!!

  97. Scotty in Fat Antonio Says:

    Browns traded to pick now

  98. Bird Says:

    Fort myers

    Fat antonia

Are are you seeing those picks so fast?

  99. FortMyersDave Says:

    Trade!

  100. John Says:

Cool. No running back there for Miami…. Buc’s just might get a good onejto fall in their laps

  101. David Says:

    Scotty…
Give it all up. The entire world knows they are taking a running back. Just like the entire world knew they were taking a tackle in the first round. Don’t overthink it dude

  102. JGhotier Says:

    @ David

Winfield is 5’9”-5’10”. So is Earl Thomas. Great height argument there. Tisk tisk

  103. LUVMYBUCS Says:

    GREAT OPTIONS

    DEFENSE
    • A.J. Epenesa EDGE – IOWA • JR • 6’5″ / 275 LBS
    • Zack Baun, EDGE, WISCONSIN • JR • 6’3″ / 235 LBS
    • Terrell Lewis EDGE – ALABAMA • SR • 6’5″ / 262 LBS

    OFFENSE
    • J.K. Dobbins RB – OHIO STATE • JR • 5’10” / 209 LBS
    • Chase Claypool WR – NOTRE DAME • SR • 6’4″ / 238 LBS

  104. FortMyersDave Says:

Colts move up. Hopefully they go for CB and not RB.

  105. Scotty in Fat Antonio Says:

Actually Browns picking 41. Blacklock GONE at 40!

  106. ©MadMax Says:

    Blacklock, #40 to Houston

  107. Coburn Says:

Curious how much further Baun is gonna drop. Him or one of the dts has to be appealing even though I’m still hoping for deposit. He hasn’t been picked right?

  108. FortMyersDave Says:

Browns got pick 160 to move back 3.

  109. David Says:

He’s actually listed at 5’9”, they claim that is stretching it.
I know he can leap and he is good, but they’re taking a running back
    so it’s irrelevant

  110. ©MadMax Says:

    Taylor gone #42

  111. Scotty in Fat Antonio Says:

    Colts get Taylor

  112. Alaskan Abdominal Snowman Says:

    How is Epenesa there still?

  113. Pa Privateer Says:

    NUTS Taylor gone

  114. ©MadMax Says:

    #41, my bad

  115. David Says:

Personally I would not get a safety or a cornerback who is not 5’11 or taller. Every other receiver nowadays is 6’ 3” or more

  116. Alaskan Abdominal Snowman Says:

    Dang fools quit announcing picks

  117. FortMyersDave Says:

Damn it Colts get Jonathon Taylor. Mystifying.

  118. ©MadMax Says:

    Alright, trade down!

  119. David Says:

    Akers or Dobbins

  120. Ivan The Insider Says:

YOU JACKHOLE, LICHT. You should have traded up for Taylor. IDIOT.

  121. Rod Munch Says:

The Colts took Taylor? They have Mack.

Is Mack available!??! Go get him if so.

  122. ©MadMax Says:

Get two 3rds or our 4th back.

  123. JP09 Says:

Damn colts… all good Dobbins and Akers are still there

  124. David Says:

After Swift and CEH, my preference is Akers. Taylor is good but a lot of miles and he fumbles a lot

  125. LUVMYBUCS Says:

Neva would thought AJ & JK would still be on the board in the 2nd Wow!

  126. rrsrq Says:

Down goes Swift, Down goes Taylor, don’t panic Jason

  127. Ivan The Insider Says:

Akers is a major reach for a 2nd rounder.

  128. BucsFan81 Says:

Trade down and get the FSU RB

  129. BucEmUp Says:

I didnt see anything specia on taylors tape

  130. Ivan The Insider Says:

    BUCS ARE GOING SAFETY DELPIT.

I’m convinced now they’re not after a back if they didn’t trade up a few spots to get Taylor.

  131. Rod Munch Says:

Meh, Taylor doesn’t look like anything special. Looks like a ‘solid’ guy, like how Barber was ‘solid’.

Could be wrong, didn’t do any real research other than watch highlights, but I didn’t think he was overly impressive. Looks like a good college back, but very average NFL go.

  132. Bangkok Buc Says:

Agree. Dont reach for Akers here.

  133. Ivan The Insider Says:

BucEmUp – Taylor is the only player in history to rush for over 6,000 yards in 3 seasons. He’s a baller.

  134. BigZ Says:

Is not a reach and will be selected in round two.

  135. Tut Says:

    I would not mind Delpit

  136. Scotty in Fat Antonio Says:

    Shenault, WR from Colorado Gone!

  137. Tampabaybucfan Says:

We will have a choice between Akers & a very good safety….think Jax will take Dobbins…

  138. Dewey Selmon Says:

If Jax takes Dobbins wait until 3. I doubt they do.

  139. Adrnagy Says:

    Aj epenosa or jalen hurts

  140. ©MadMax Says:

    Oh DOBBINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!……

    DOBBINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! get Dobbins!

  141. David Says:

    Bears may take RB.
    Cleveland will not.
Not sure about Jags. Fournette wants out

  142. mark2001 Says:

Should be used to this… a guy we really need or want never just falls to us.. unless he is a bozo. It’s a Bucs life.

  143. Rod Munch Says:

I don’t get the Colts taking Taylor – Mack has been very productive for them. Could just be a load share deal, but you’d figure they’d get a pass catching back, not that Mack can’t catch, but you figure that’s what they’d want.

Licht should call and offer up a 5th for Mack.

  144. Matt Says:

If Dobbins and Epenesa are gone we should trade back and get a third or one of the fourths abck

  145. David Says:

    AKERS
    Or
    DOBBINS

  146. LUVMYBUCS Says:

    Daaaammn

A.J. Epenesa & Tristan Wirfs could be on the same team.
Talk about investing into the trenches.

  147. SKBucsFan Says:

Good. Now Licht can do hs job and draft the best OL / DL player like a good GM should. Epenesa could still be available.

  148. Rod Munch Says:

Ezra Cleveland is still on the board… this is a guy people were saying to take at 14.

    If here’s there, take him.

  149. Dewey Selmon Says:

we had nothing to give to move up. one 3rd and then nothing until round 5? maybe teams dont want to give up a 3 for OJ.

  150. Alaskan Abdominal Snowman Says:

    Epenesa
    Baun
    Winfield
    Shenault
    Delpit

Take one of those and next pick get a RB. If we ended up with one of those and Zack Moss we would win today.

  151. Pa Privateer Says:

Delpit or Epenesa would be nice

    or trade back

  152. David Says:

    Epenesa???
    It’s Akers or Dobbins

  153. mark2001 Says:

Trade down Jason…nothing we need of second round value.

  154. Dewey Selmon Says:

    trade OJ for Mack?

  155. Alaskan Abdominal Snowman Says:

Teams with RBs are taking RBs. Could put some RBs on the trade block for cheap. If we don’t get someone we like.

  156. ©MadMax Says:

    Kmet #43

  157. Scotty in Fat Antonio Says:

    Kmet, TE….GONE!

  158. David Says:

    Yes!

    Bucs get their RB.
Akers or Dobbins … Which ever one the Bears don’t take, if they take up running back

  159. LUVMYBUCS Says:

    A.J. Epenesa or J.K Dobbins

  160. Rod Munch Says:

    OMG ANOTHER G-D DEATH DEDICATION

  161. Pa Privateer Says:

    Trade down a couple

  162. mark2001 Says:

If Jason doesn’t trade down, I’ll join the Licht is over his head crowd.

  163. Rod Munch Says:

Does ESPN go to commercial during every Bucs pick like they normally do, or does Brady break that curse?

  164. Bird Says:

    Dobbins

    Or safety?

  165. David Says:

Amazing how ignorant some of you are. Do you think they’re going to take another lineman or trade down when they desperately need a running back for several years now?
Winfield at S is the only guy giving them pause over taking Dobbins or Akers

  166. Bird Says:

    Munch

    I agree
    Its a pity party

  167. Rod Munch Says:

Dewey Selmon – Humm, OJ for Mack? That’s not bad… I think OJ has a bit more value as RB’s are a dime a dozen, so we’ll need another 7th rounder with that, so Licht has 3 of them.

  168. Rick Says:

    Jk let’s goooo!!!!!

  169. SC Bucs Fan Says:

    Dobbins Dobbins Dobbins

  170. ©MadMax Says:

ROD…..GET ON UTBE BRO! Chat sports channel.

  171. Rod Munch Says:

David – But the team doesn’t need a RB, the Bucs have a very good starting RB who they just drafted high in the 2nd round two years ago.

  172. Adrnagy Says:

Good position for us to trade down.
Josh jones. Cleveland. Epenosa. Delpit etc are available. Teams might want to trade up.

  173. rrsrq Says:

What if we go defense, don’t think Winfield Jr. will be there (Browns)

  174. mark2001 Says:

David…you have to look at value. And Dobbins or Akers aren’t worth the 45th pick. Trade down.

  175. SKBucsFan Says:

    Kmet to the Bears

  176. LUVMYBUCS Says:

    ^^^ Smart Man

  177. Coburn Says:

    I’ll take Winfield or delpit

  178. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

I would be thrilled with Dobbins at 45!

  179. David Says:

    Nice!!!

    AKERS OR DOBBINS …

  180. Rod Munch Says:

MadMax – I like the pace of the message board here, lets me actually look up stuff between making smart ass comments.

  181. ©MadMax Says:

    DOBBINS Come one Licht!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  182. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

Unless someone jumps in front of the Browns, Dobbins is OURS! Are you freaking kidding me!

  183. SKBucsFan Says:

Epenesa or Cleveland. C’mon Licht Do the smart thing!

  184. DoooshLaRue Says:

    GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

    Death dedications make Muncher angry.

  185. LUVMYBUCS Says:

Ok Get to raise your shot glasses men!!!

  186. ©MadMax Says:

    No prob Rod, all good.

  187. Leighroy Says:

Easy Rod, you need to quit w the Covid hate.

  188. mark2001 Says:

Akers is third or forth round value…don’t even think about it Jason.

  189. Coburn Says:

    Or even Baun?

  190. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

I love Akers. I’m married to a Nole and our son is a Nole.
    Still, Dobbins!!!!

  191. LUVMYBUCS Says:

A.J. Epenesa or J.K Dobbins Flip a coin

  192. Buc50 Says:

Bucs on the clock with Dobbins available

  193. Scotty in Fat Antonio Says:

    Delpit GONE!

  194. Jeagan1999 Says:

    Dobbins is the guy!

  195. Rod Munch Says:

There are still quite a few safeties available, so right now the Bucs probably should go that route. No value at WR.

If Cleveland is still there, they should take him. $15m next year, plus D. Smith trade value… that’s a good return. Have to free up money if we’re going to keep Godwin and Shaq.

  196. LUVMYBUCS Says:

Baun’s a beast — wouldn’t be mad at that either

  197. ©MadMax Says:

    Delpit #44

Dobbins falls to us #45! But what do we do?

  198. FortMyersDave Says:

Browns take a safety, Grant Delpit, LSU…..

  199. Pa Privateer Says:

    RB, S, Edge, DL

    trade down

  200. LUVMYBUCS Says:

Osh!t its about to go down baby!!!!

  201. BringBucsBack Says:

    A.J. Epenesa

  202. Phx Bucs Fan Says:

    Make it Dobbins!

  203. Scotty in Fat Antonio Says:

    Winfield Jr it is

  204. Adrnagy Says:

    TRADE

  205. Coburn Says:

Wanted delpit .. wonder if light felt same

  206. SKBucsFan Says:

At least we know Licht isnt trading up. Thats a good thing.

  207. Tampabaybucfan Says:

    Dobbins is there!!!

  208. TBTeddy Says:

    Winfield

  209. Jean Lafitte Says:

    #55’s guy Cam Akers

  210. Alaskan Abdominal Snowman Says:

    Yessss!!!!

  211. Buc50 Says:

    Picked Winfield

  212. LUVMYBUCS Says:

    Like the kid but Phuck!!!

  213. rrsrq Says:

Well if they don’t go Epenesa, that means Wirfs couldn’t convince him

  214. FortMyersDave Says:

Antione Winfiel, hmm his Dad played for the Bills. Bucs get a Golden Gopher safety. The Licht RB curse continues.

  215. David Says:

Akers is a better receiver And faster.
    Dobbins is a little quicker.

    Both are good.

  216. ©MadMax Says:

Safety Winfield!!!!!!!! I’ll take that!! Needed safety! Great Pick!

  217. Tampabuscsbro Says:

    GOOD PICK

Some people will hate this and haters are going to hate cause running backs decide NFL games in the modern era to the boomers in here.

  218. Buc50 Says:

    They picked Winfield

  219. Rick Says:

    Winfield

  220. Pa Privateer Says:

Winfield it is…..I can roll with that

  221. Alaskan Abdominal Snowman Says:

Definitely wanted Epinesa but Winfield is a dang good consolation prize.

  222. ©MadMax Says:

He was the best Safety left and its a position of need.

  223. Scotty in Fat Antonio Says:

Greg Auman Twitter had the name of the pick before You Tube Channel did

  224. Coburn Says:

Was hoping a decent safety would be left. Hoped for delpit but I can take that

  225. Rod Munch Says:

    A 5′ 9″ 200lb safety with an injury history…

Uh… Licht has mostly sucked picking DBs – he should have stuck with what he knows, the offensive line.

    Not sure about this.

  226. Alaskan Abdominal Snowman Says:

Bucs aren’t playing baby!!!! Filled our two biggest needs!!!!

Now land Zack Moss and we are frickin set.

  227. David Says:

    Dobbins or Akers!!!!

  228. Rod Munch Says:

Well, I do like this from ESPN… “Winfield is a plug-and-play starter at safety, and if he does hold up physically, he should emerge as a high-level starter for a long time.”

  229. Dewey Selmon Says:

There will be a RB in round 3. Good pick.

  230. David Says:

    Well that sucks

  231. LUVMYBUCS Says:

Trade Oj Howard to the Bears – and lets get back in this.

  232. ©MadMax Says:

Alright, move back into the bottom 2nd for RB if your guy is still there.

  233. Marine Buc Says:

    JK Dobbins! Come on down!!!!

  234. rrsrq Says:

This is Bruce Arians “honey badger”

  235. SKBucsFan Says:

YESSSSS Good Pick Licht Way to do your Job Licht! Build up the lines. Now he can draft a an RB if Fromm isn’t there.

  236. NOLES Says:

    Great pick

  237. stvcl Says:

    Damn good pick.

  238. Ivan The Insider Says:

    HAHAHAH BUCS GOT OWNED AGAIN.

I called it… I knew Licht was targeted Delpit and thought he’d fall into his lap since he didn’t try and move up for a RB.

So, of course, Delpit gets taken one pick before us.

Winfield is a consolation prize. The target was Depit.

    DAMMIT.

  239. TampaBay AllDay Says:

Oooooh SH*T WE GOT HIM!!!!! WE GOT WINFIELD JR GUYS!!!!!

  240. Matt Says:

Another high pick on the secondary. With a game changer at RB, Pass rusher to replace JPP long term or any number of guys to replace Suh.

Could have traded down and got this guy.

  241. Sarasota Garey Says:

    we drafted a midget

  242. Marine Buc Says:

    Guess not. Lol

  243. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Met a need. I like it.

  244. David Says:

He is barely 5’9” going against 6’3 WRs.

Identify know. Hope it works out.
I hope Akers will be available in rd 3.

  245. Pa Privateer Says:

Hamler gone, he is going to be special

  246. Adrnagy Says:

My fears came true. Our safeties sucks. We need help in the secondary. Plug in day 1 guy.

  247. lambchop Says:

    Luvmybucs,

The Bears have their TE. They drafted one.

  248. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

Damn, that means Evans isn’t really coming back. I wanted an RB, particularly Dobbins. However, I like this kid.

  249. Alaskan Abdominal Snowman Says:

Ivan stop talking like you know anything lol I’ve seen you be wrong numerous times throughout the day but hey you are confidently wrong so I’ll give you that.

  250. Jeagan1999 Says:

    Terrible pick!

The best RB in the Draft was sitting right there!

    Licht screws it up again!

  251. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

Better make that OJ trade soon!

  252. John Says:

    k

  253. Pa Privateer Says:

I wish we would have traded down, but it was a need and his stock matched the pick

  254. Bangkok Buc Says:

I’m cool with this. Suggests to me they aren’t confident Evans is ready.
    Playmaker back there.

  255. Greg Says:

We missed on Dobbins.. wow it’s a Bucs life.

  256. CPN Says:

RBs are worthless. I’d rather have fixed the secondary over wasting a pick on a RB.

  257. Jason the licht is never on Says:

I’m so over this sorry excuse of a gm

  258. Tampabuscsbro Says:

Guys dobbins is probably the most overrated back in the draft.

  259. NOLES Says:

If Cam slides to us in 3rd I would be ecstatic

  260. BradyBucs Says:

Great. A 5’9 safety in the NFL is gong to get eaten alive. Fast and can cover, in college, but I remember another fast and small guy that we wasted a pick on not too long ago…VH3. Here we go again?

  261. Gettinthebucs Says:

I don’t think we’re taking a RB until late in day 3. Maybe they really think Ronald Jones is going to be much better🤷🏿‍♂️

  262. Doctor_Berto Says:

    Hargreaves was not fast

  263. stpetebucsfan Says:

I like that his father was three time Pro Bowl at the position. Kids of stars like McCaffery, Bonds etc seem to always do pretty well.

I think this guy is going to be a player and with he and White flying around our D people better have their heads on swivels.

  264. Fire JASON LICHT Says:

TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE PICK THEY HAD THE RB THERE FOR THE TAKING I CAN NOT BELIEVE THIS GM ON PASSING ON DOBBINS REALLY REALLY JASON !! SMH ON THIS PICK NOT GOOD AT ALL !!

  265. Alaskan Abdominal Snowman Says:

We got two first round talents, I love this draft so far. Still 5 backs left
    Dobbins
    Moss
    Akers
    Dillon
    Benjamin

  266. Casual Observer Says:

Surprise pick. But looks like a superb one. Fills a definite need. RB later.

  267. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

I like it, but his height is a slight concern. He’ll hopefully put it to rest on the field.

  268. Mitch Says:

He’s a 1/2 inch taller than his All-pro father was. I like the pick a lot. Tampa can pick up a RB in the 3rd.

  269. JimmyJack Says:

I’m very glad we went defense. Guys Bowles knows what he’s doing with DBs. This could turn out great for us

  270. Bangkok Buc Says:

Obviously shows the brass has full confidence that we already have our RB1 on the roster. With great new OL and TE , lets give him a chance

  271. Ivan The Insider Says:

    THIS MAKES ME WONDER…

Bucs may have been targeting a “Hammer & Lighting” backfield… ala Alstott/Dunn.

Bucs might have their sights set on A.J. Dillon in the 3rd to bring in a big powerback that can also catch to compliment Ronald Jones.

Won’t surprise me at all if they go Dillon in the 3rd.

  272. Kobe Faker Says:

    “Great pick

    Heed Kobes word

Strange things are happening during these strange times

2 teams picked the wrong player that Licht wanted

Wirfs and Winfield are better than Willis or Delpit

    Nasty players”

    Kobe Faker

  273. Rod Munch Says:

The Bucs don’t need a RB, been tell you guys that forever. If you watched the game, you’d see how good Ronnie was late in the year, the guy looked great. He was a high 2nd rounder for a reason. We didn’t and don’t need a RB – can get one off the FA heap for nothing to be the 3rd down guy.

The more I read and hear from some people in Minnesota the more I like the pick – he is literally supposed to be a day 1 starter, fantastic speed, ball hawk. If he really is that, then fantastic. The size is very concerning, but if he’s a free safety, which I assume he is, then that’s not as big of an issue.

  274. adam from ny Says:

ok justin evans career is simply over…what a shame

  275. BUCTIME Says:

Love this pick and guarantee he’s a day 1 starter !!!! OT, Safety, and now it’s get the RB time !!! Loving this draft and anyone hating on this pick really doesn’t know football or what our team was lacking, but so STOKED

  276. Gettinthebucs Says:

Unless we plan to run a bunch of outside zone I don’t want Dobbins here.

  277. King C Says:

We’re all in for Cam Akers in rd 3 it looks like

  278. BUC CHEEKS Says:

Oh buddy… Who needs a RB?! Not Licht

  279. JimmyJack Says:

You don’t pick a player based on measurables. You pick them based on non measurables

  280. SKBucsFan Says:

Now will Jake Fromm be around this far in the 3rd? I’d like to see it, but not sure it will happen.

  281. Jeagan1999 Says:

tampabaybucsbro…..disagree….strongly! Dobbins is a dual threat and could be a 2,000 yds from scrimmage type of back!

Jason Licht might as well draft another kicker in round 2!

  282. Marine Buc Says:

I’m fine with the pick. We needed a safety and AWJ will be a good one. But Dobbins was there and I thought for sure he was a Buc. Oh well. Let’s hope we grab Cam Ackers in the third.

  283. Proudbucsfan Says:

Wish we would have gotten JK Dobbins but Antoine Winfield Jr is a real good safety and we needed one so I’m not complaining.

  284. BUC CHEEKS Says:

We’ll be ok… But damn he shocks the hell out of me. It’s dalvin cook all over again

  285. Greg Says:

Tampabuscsbro… how is he overrated? Passed Eddie George and Zek Elliots all time rushing record and was sniffing Archie Griffins record.

  286. JGhotier Says:

Folks, Ivan The Insider is an idiot…and apparently a physic. What an act!

  287. ©MadMax Says:

Im not gonna lie….We needed a Safety! As much as I also wanted RB, and Dobbins was there….well, we have one….so we went with the bigger position of need.

  288. LUVMYBUCS Says:

    lambchop

    Skipped that. Thank u

  289. Buc4evr Says:

Winfield is a little short to be matched up against some of the WR’s in our division. Hope they don’t end up sorry they didn’t get Dobbins. I just hope they can find a decent RB in the third.

  290. NOLES Says:

bla bla bla on measurables. He has instinct, heart & great bloodlines. Those trump a couple or a few inches EVERYDAY…..

  291. ©MadMax Says:

    OT/G Wirfs
    FS Winfield

    Now we NEED that RB….Dobbins/Akers/Dillon

  292. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Man, the Panthers are going all-in on defense.

  293. FortMyersDave Says:

Seahawks trade up to 48, Jets get 59 and 101. RB to SEA?

  294. Tampabuscsbro Says:

Cause he played around a great line Winnfield was a much better player to take and a much bigger need. we improved the offense a lot and the line it’ll be easier for whoever is running to run with this offense.

    TRUST ME.

  295. donuts Says:

Ill never understand the hand holding on this site.

This pickup will allow them to cut Justin Evans – Mr boot.

  296. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

So far, the Bucs are being pretty smart about this. They are not buying into hype over media favorites. They are doing what needs to be done. I love it.

  297. Bucced up Says:

Well at least the first pick was good. This second pick is going to get owned. Watch some of the games and highlights he did not do well against taller WR’s! They were trying to fill a need but they reached on this one. Leave it to the Bucs they can’t handle any kind of good momentum.

  298. JimmyJack Says:

I bet this Gibson dude is our Target.

Y’all wanted a RB. But this team can’t ignore the defense. We just started looking good last year. We have to build on that.

On the few highlights they showed Winfield looks like he can help in pass coverage. Thats something we need badly.

  299. King C Says:

    So there’s Dobbins, Akers
And also there’s Zack Moss out of Utah
No other team needs an RB besides Miami
One of the 3 has to be available at No. 76!!!!
    #notajinx

  300. rrsrq Says:

Not worried about his size, our CB’s are long and fast. This is a Bowles pick and he will know how to use him. I guess Wirfs and Nelson couldn’t convince them on their Iowa teammate

  301. JimmyJack Says:

I enjoy the rants by Ivan the Insider

  302. NOLES Says:

? Is can we move OJ for a pick.. let’s see. Not looking good everyone else sees what we see, tape don’t lie…

  303. Bangkok Buc Says:

In Bowles I trust. You know he pressed for this pick over a RB

  304. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

Yeah, not a bad pick, but we still need a RB and a WR.

  305. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

This clearly tells us Justin Evans isn’t coming back

  306. King C Says:

All these experts suddenly talking about how 5ft-9 is too short for safety
Last time I checked, all-world safety Earl Thomas is only 5ft-10, so there’s that

  307. Rick Says:

What’s up with Epenesa? Is there a gas mask video somewhere?

  308. stpetebucsfan Says:

    @Ivan

Agree completely about Dillon. Great complementary back to ROJO and he has soft hands and decent speed especially for a guy his size.

  309. TBXTBucs Says:

Delpit was there in our grasp and Browns swiped him just think one more spot in the standings we would have Wirfs, our fourth, and possibly Taylor or Delpit

  310. Rod Munch Says:

    ANOTHER G-D DEATH DEDICATION

  311. Greg Says:

Tampabuscsbro… you obviously didn’t watch film on him. The line was COMPLETELY rebuilt which consisted of red shirt sophomores and a couple JRs. Check his stats then get back to me.

  312. passthebuc Says:

Go look at the RB from cincinnati. Michael Warren ll. I think he is better than Dobbins straight up. I also think he will be there in the 6th and 7th rd. maybe UDFA.a 1000 yard rusher in every year in college. if he is a UDFA, it would cost nothing to take a look.

  313. FortMyersDave Says:

Rams took Cam Akers. Dobbins on the board still.

  314. Rod Munch Says:

King C – Interesting, Earl Thomas is 5′ 10 200lbs – he looks bigger than that, I swear he was closer to 220.

Yeah, my initial impression was that this new guy is way to small, but reading more, the more I like the pick. Thankfully he’s not slow – Licht LOVES slow defensive backs.

  315. DoooshLaRue Says:

    GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

  316. Jeagan1999 Says:

Stpetebucsfan…..I like Dillon, too….been singing his praises for months. But Dillon is a special guy, and would have made this offense damn near unstoppable. I’d be happy if Dillon is there for us, but I can’t believe we FRIGGIN HAD DOBBINS….and let him go.

    Disappointing.

  317. Buc1987 Says:

All the decent RB’s will be taken before the Bucs pick again!

  318. FortMyersDave Says:

Rams taking Akers indicates that the trade the Rams did for Henderson at pick 70 last year for 2 very late 3s may not have worked out for the Lambs….

  319. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

DBs are having a major run

  320. Rod Munch Says:

I watched the Dillon highlights, then watched more highlights, then watched some non-highlights, and the guy is completely unimpressive. No idea what you guys are seeing. He is a very basic north/south runner with no wiggle, no agility. Has good power, but nothing special, not what you’d expect at his size. Doesn’t catch the ball. Has good straight line speed, but again, watching stuff, he just looks average. Probably his change to make a team is based on special teams. 5th rounder in my mind. In the 5th round, then OK I guess, most bust so not a big deal – but certainly not in the 3rd.

  321. Matt Says:

    There goes Cam!! Grrrrrrrr

  322. FortMyersDave Says:

Jalen Hurts an Eagle. I thought Chuckie or Bellicheat would get the Bama/Sooner kid.

  323. Scotty in Fat Antonio Says:

    Jalen Hurts to Philthy

  324. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    Bye Bye Akers!

  325. NOLES Says:

Cam is better than Dobbins.. oh well

  326. Gettinthebucs Says:

Welp there goes cam. Good job Licht. You had one job tonight.

  327. King C Says:

Miami will take a RB before us for sure
But who else needs a RB

  328. Bird Says:

    Dobbins and aj dillon

  329. JimmyJack Says:

Nothing about our offense suggests a back like Dillon would be a target for us. Doesn’t mean he’s a bad player but he just doesn’t fit. The fit does matter people.

  330. Rod Munch Says:

Wow, they just gave up on Wentz… Amazing.

  331. Kobe Faker Says:

    “Mark it down

Cam Akers going to be a star

2k run/recieving yds player next year

    Skillset perfect for the NFL”

    Kobe Faker

  332. BucsFan81 Says:

Package OJ Howard and the third round pick and get Dobbins

  333. BigZ Says:

Great job Jason. Yep a safety is more important than a RB. I forgot, we have Rojo and Dare.

  334. Rod Munch Says:

JimmyJack – I think Dillon is a bad NFL player, at least as a RB. Might be a good special teams guy – maybe as a very dedicated short run guy, but even there he doesn’t run with enough power to be that. People think he’s Alstott for some reason, and he’s not even in the same league as Alstott.

  335. BigZ Says:

cam could be best RB in this draft.

  336. JimmyJack Says:

Dude Lichts job is s not to get who you want? Remember y’all were the same morons crying “Weapons for Winston”. How did that work?

  337. Marine Buc Says:

We need to trade OJ and move back into round 2 and take Dobbins…

  338. FortMyersDave Says:

I have to agree with the Faker; that Akers kid ran behind one of the worst OLs in recent Power 5 history and still made plays. With a decent OL he might have been the top RB on the board.

  339. Rod Munch Says:

Wow, the Eagles just gave up on Wentz. That is a big big deal… Wow.

  340. Elita Vita Says:

What is the plan for the Bucs at RB? Ronald Jones doesn’t instill confidence in me (yet). Is there a diamond in the rough for round 3 or later???

  341. King C Says:

    Watch out for Zack Moss!

  342. Marine Buc Says:

Rojo is a solid RB. If he stays healthy he will have a good year. We still need a replacement for Dare though…

  343. JimmyJack Says:

I never saw Dillon but everything I heard suggests he’s a full back type. Anybody that thinks he sounds like a good fit for Bruce’s offense might be soft in the head.

  344. Buc1987 Says:

Elita Vita ..they’ll all be gone by rnd 3.

  345. Bangkok Buc Says:

    Moss would be sneaky good!!!
Gibson too with flex at receiver

  346. Rod Munch Says:

    Free agent RBs…

    Devonta Freeman
    Lamar Miller
    Chris Thompson
    Theo Riddick
    Bilal Powell
    Isaiah Crowell
    Ty Montgomery
    Devontae Booker

That is not a bad list of players, if they’re healthy. The only issue for a lot of these guys is health. For the Bucs, a guy like Chris Thompson or Riddick, as a 3rd down back, is a perfect fit.

As an overall backup, Freeman or Crowell is an excellent pick.

These guys are all going to be cheap. This is why we don’t need to worry about RB. Ronnie is very good. Compliment him with one or two of these guys. The other good thing about a vet is that they’re generally better in blocking, and the top thing is to keep Brady upright.

  347. FortMyersDave Says:

Bucs pick 12th in the 3rd. Good chance Licht missed the boat on RB again. Maybe they trade up with OJ Howard and get a day 3 pick to boot if lucky but this is typical Licht, it is like he is allergic to plug and play RBs.

  348. NDog is an idiot Says:

Akers is the real deal!! Big drop off after Dobbins is snatched up!

  349. Scotty in Fat Antonio Says:

    Boom, there goes Dobbins

  350. Buc1987 Says:

Safety needed to be addressed anyways though.

Great rb’s left on the board be damned I guess.

  351. Rod Munch Says:

Ronnie is more than a solid back, he’s a good back who at the end of the year was a very good back. He averaged 4.5ypc in this offense, that’s the same as David Johnson did in this scheme in his monster year. Ronnie started off the year poorly, in the dog house, but by week 17, he was totally THE guy and played like it.

You guys should be 100% sold on him.

What the Bucs need is a 3rd down back to compliment him. Also a second veteran backup isn’t a bad idea. I mean if they can get Devonta Freeman and Bilal Powell – that’s some sold backups, and probably just veteran min guys.

  352. Coburn Says:

If someone like Baun or another dlinr drops to 3rd do we just sign a back like Freeman?

  353. King C Says:

    @Rod
Honestly if we didn’t sign Melvin Gordon then picking up one of those also-rans doesn’t make sense
Less upside than of the RBs coming out of college

  354. Joe in Michigan Says:

I’d take Antonio Gibson, if he’s still around in the 3rd.

  355. BigZ Says:

wow some teams have 2 RB and we have none.

  356. Coburn Says:

Isn’t that matibuike guy still left too?

  357. Gettinthebucs Says:

Jk to the Ravens. Now that’s a good fit. I don’t think he fits here.

  358. Marine Buc Says:

We needed a starting RT and we got one. We needed a starting safety and we got one. So far so good. RB and WR would be nice but not an absolute necessity.

  359. John Says:

    no what?

  360. King C Says:

Ah damnit, Ravens already rich at RB get richer. Dobbins is gonna ball out with LJax
Now we’re in trouble I’m afraid bc Miami has two picks before us and could use an RB for sure

  361. JimmyJack Says:

We are getting a back. Calm yourself and take a deep breathe. Trust me we aren’t entering the season with Ronald and Dare as our backfield.

  362. Scotty in Fat Antonio Says:

    Raekwon Davis to Dolphins

  363. Elita Vita Says:

Guess Licht will be waiting outside the other team’s gate when the cuts come for an RB…..a little disappointed we don’t have a better RB for Brady’s game.

  364. JimmyJack Says:

    Marine Buc well said

  365. Kobe Faker Says:

    “Damn

Baltimore FO sure knows how to draft

Baltimore and Buffalo is top team builders”

    Kobe Faker

  366. Admiral Redbeard Says:

Antonio Gibson in the 3rd, please.

  367. Rod Munch Says:

Man, these OT’s keep falling. Bucs should trade up and grab another. Can always trade a pick from next year if needed. We are in win now mode, so the future be damned.

  368. Buc1987 Says:

    In Licht I trust…

    Said no one.

  369. BigZ Says:

    Don’t draft need..
    Take a flyer on perine.

  370. FortMyersDave Says:

Dolphins are having a terrible draft after Tua, this Bama DT they just grabbed has a day 3 grade…….

  371. King C Says:

IF Moss goes my target would be Eno Benjamin

  372. Jimbuc Says:

Damn, not another year without drafting a rb

  373. Dewey Selmon Says:

yeah, I’d take Gibson. can play WR-RB and return kicks.

  374. firethecannons Says:

make a trade with Jacksonville Fournette for OJ Howard

  375. BigZ Says:

Lewis drop Bama could be a sacker.
    Like Gabe Davis from ucf.

  376. NDog is an idiot Says:

No need to trade up for a RB now! Moss could fall to us. But Phins will grab him first. Hope Rojo stays healthy!

  377. Rod Munch Says:

Yeah, Fournette would be a great pickup, but we don’t have to give up OJ to do it. Fournette can catch the ball, which is the top need, plus is a legit power guy. Makes total sense.

  378. Rod Munch Says:

Oh my… Bill Bilichick trades for Wentz… not this year, but next year when they have cap space.. book it.

  379. FortMyersDave Says:

Rams take a Gator, Van Jefferson.

  380. Admiral Redbeard Says:

We should have grabbed Hurts with our 2nd

  381. Frank Pillow Says:

They will pick an RB and it could be Patrick Taylor RB-Memphis.

  382. JimmyJack Says:

I hope to see us take corner in round three. Just so I can watch all y’all meltdown. That would be entertaining to me.

  383. FortMyersDave Says:

Ezra Cleveland to the Vikes, run on 2nd tier OTs before Bucs pick?

  384. Bucamania Says:

Get another small, slow DB in the 3rd!

  385. ©MadMax Says:

Dang…..fell asleep….was up all night and most of today….where we at?

  386. Bucs Guy Says:

We don’t have $ to sign Fiurnette. Bucs are $4.6M over the cao thanks to overpaying for Gronk.

  387. Marine Buc Says:

Josh Jones is still available. That is a surprise. I thought he would be a late first early second pick…

  388. Admiral Redbeard Says:

    Haha, screw you JimmyJack, lol

  389. Tut Says:

Madubuike in the 3rd, Perine in the 5th/6th.

  390. lambchop Says:

BSPN keeps tipping the picks. They show the player getting picked before it’s announced. EVERY TIME.

  391. JimmyJack Says:

I keep waiting for on of these fans on the little TVs to flash Goodell. It should have happened already.

  392. Admiral Redbeard Says:

Antonio Gibson in the 3rd, Davon Hamilton in the 5th, Alton Robinson in the 6th, Cole McDonald in the 7th

  393. King C Says:

LOL those fans on TV can’t see Goodell – plus it’s probably pretaped

  394. ©MadMax Says:

    Zack Moss still available?

  395. BigZ Says:

Admiral Redbeard, spot on. Hurts has way more to offer. We just can’t keep drafting cb and s. Could of had adams with all the number 2 and 4 we burned on s.

  396. Rod Munch Says:

lambchop – Yeah, ESPN is terrible. IT’s show the player getting picked, talked about the pick for 15 seconds, then give a god damn death dedication, then 10 minutes of commercials talking about the plague…

  397. Rod Munch Says:

    OMG ANOTHER G-DAMN DEAD DEDICATION

  398. Marine Buc Says:

    Moss is available still.

  399. Pa Privateer Says:

I wonder which late round QB we will be picking up?

  400. FortMyersDave Says:

Packers snag AJ Dillon RB from BC. Bit of a reach?

  401. King C Says:

    Whew!
I wanted no part of AJ Dillon for us

  402. Rod Munch Says:

LOL! A backup QB and a RB who is going to average 3.2ypc for Rodgers. You know that crybaby is going to be in tears.

  403. Admiral Redbeard Says:

BigZ, I just don’t see Winfields size, speed, and vert, translating well to the NFL. Hopefully he plays much faster and bigger than he is.

  404. BucEmUp Says:

Bucs should trade Howard to Green Bay for Aarron Jones since they just drfated a qb and rodgers wants weapons

  405. firethecannons Says:

hoping to see OJ trade for Fournette

  406. BUC CHEEKS Says:

    Give me GIBSON now!!!!!

  407. King C Says:

Been calling Zack Moss’ name all night
All eyes on Miami at #70 if he’s still on the board

  408. BUC CHEEKS Says:

☝️A Fournette trade would be awesome!!!!!!!!

  409. Tut Says:

I’d like to see James Morgan in the 5th for our backup QB.

  410. Admiral Redbeard Says:

Dillon is going to be a beast for the Packers. Teams will have to load the box now, freeing up receivers for Rodgers to pick teams apart.

  411. JimmyJack Says:

Come on Licht don’t let me down. Trade up and get Troy Pride before he gets gobbled up.

  412. ©MadMax Says:

@Marine, Thank you Sir….Yeah, just saw Dobbins gone…alright Moss

    Zack Moss please Mr. Licht.

  413. Rod Munch Says:

Is this Gay related to our Gay?

  414. Coburn Says:

Baun, Madibuike, Moss, or even Josh Jones (think we have our tackles for now.. surprised he’s there)

  415. Bucs Guy Says:

So RB or DT in the 3rd? If we trade OJ maybe we can get both tonight.

  416. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

I was thinking Eason as a 3rd rounder is a great investment…but Josh Jones is tempting. If he can play LT?

  417. JimmyJack Says:

Trade our 3rd and OJ to move up and secure Troy Pride right now Licht!! Don’t over think things.

  418. Rod Munch Says:

What happened to everybody, is 9pm the curfew for going to sleep in Tampa as well?

  419. FortMyersDave Says:

Panthers trade up and get the Saluki Chinn.

  420. Rod Munch Says:

Chinn seems like a safety who is a better fit for this defense, we shall see how this works out.

  421. Rojas Says:

Damien Lewis guard from LSU in the 3rd.

  422. Tut Says:

    Madibuike please

  423. King C Says:

Every team’s forum has the resident “Hey-let’s-make-an-unrealistic-trade” guy

  424. Rod Munch Says:

Wow, the picks coming in quick now.

  425. Rod Munch Says:

Rojas – We are pretty good at G, however if he can play center, there’s $10m available if he can replace Jensen next year.

Jones is still out there too, isn’t he? Now that would be a coup, people talked about him even as high as the Bucs in the 1st.

  426. Gettinthebucs Says:

Now Gibson is gone. Maybe Josh Jones falls to us.

  427. Kevinator24 Says:

Damn, was hoping Gibson would last to our 3rd round pick

  428. JimmyJack Says:

Licht gonna trade down is my guess. He’s gonna gamble Troy Pride will still be avialable.

  429. Admiral Redbeard Says:

Can’t wait to see how 5’9″ Winfield covers a 6’5″ TE.

  430. Alaskan Abdominal Snowman Says:

Go get the second best back in the draft. Zack Moss still sitting there.

  431. Gettinthebucs Says:

Licht gonna draft a kicker in the third round. 🤪

  432. Sarasota Garey Says:

    Is Josh Jones still available?

  433. BigZ Says:

How about Winfield vs Julio and Thomas 3x a year. Now way S is more valuable than an rb.
    Perune in 5th.

  434. NDog is an idiot Says:

Don’t give Licht any ideas PLEASE!!

  435. Admiral Redbeard Says:

Gibson is going to be for the Skins what McCaffery is for the Panthers.

  436. King C Says:

People who don’t know anything about football think it’s as simple as having all 6-ft 4 defensive backs to cover TEs

  437. Rojas Says:

    Josh Jones or Moss, Madibuike

  438. JimmyJack Says:

Mel Kiper has a Oklahoma DT on his big board. Do we dare?

  439. NDog is an idiot Says:

By Far, Licht has given us the worst RB stable in the NFL! Not even close!

  440. Rod Munch Says:

    Goodell is such a d-bag.

  441. David Says:

    DE-Florida. Greenard.
    Or
    RB – Utah Moss.

  442. King C Says:

Miami out. Now just gotta get past Arizona picking RB

  443. Bucs Guy Says:

There are 4 very good DTs – Elliott (Mizou), Hamilton (OSU), Madubuike (A&M) and Neville (OU). Any could be the Suh replacement in a year.

  444. Scotty in Fat Antonio Says:

Geez, looks like Goodell got sick.

  445. Kevin Says:

    Oj for fournette

  446. Buczilla Says:

Love the Wirfs pick, but it looks like Licht is hellbent on continuing his buffoonery in the second round. Hopefully we address running back in the third. Geez this team is frustrating.

  447. David Says:

King …. no but a 5’9” safety is a gamble. I do not care how good he is. More and more DBs are 6’ or more and most WRs and TEs are over 6’2”

  448. NDog is an idiot Says:

Worst RB situation but we’ve got a crap load of Tight Ends!! Trade O.J. or Brate! How many tight ends do we need?? Kicker is our next pick.

  449. FortMyersDave Says:

    Madubuike goes to B-more.

  450. Bangkok Buc Says:

    Moss?

  451. Rod Munch Says:

I never get players crying like girls when they get selected. Have some pride.

  452. Admiral Redbeard Says:

Davon Hamilton next, please!!! Bucs Guy, the other three are nice, but not 3-4 DT’s.

  453. Pa Privateer Says:

Ravens seem to be cleaning up

  454. BigZ Says:

At this point pass on rb. Moss is not special. Let’s see jw had no ground game and neither will tb. Maybe one year jl will flood the rb position. Sad some teams have a one two punch, but not us.

  455. Kevin Says:

Crap Jones gone take Eason now.

  456. ElBajito43 Says:

Draft JACOB EASON Trash 🗑 LICHT !!!!
    Now A:/ $ol3

  457. Pa Privateer Says:

    and there goes JOnes……dammit

  458. King C Says:

    AH, we got this!

  459. FortMyersDave Says:

Cards get Josh Jones so scratch OT off the 3rd round wish list….

  460. Gettinthebucs Says:

We’re gonna draft slow Zack moss.

  461. Rod Munch Says:

Josh Jones looks like an NFL player, a guy who is going to be mad about being selected in the 3rd… Man, that would have been a hell of a pick that late.

  462. BigZ Says:

zuniga or Lewis, build our pass rush.

  463. Anonymous Says:

Moss or Baun please. Also am I wrong in thinking height is more important at corner when you’re in the guys back pocket and not as important at safety?

  464. ElBajito43 Says:

Trash Man Lichtenstein will let Indy Nap town grab EASON bcuz WHY??? BCUZ HE IS TRASH LICHT

  465. JimmyJack Says:

Hey just a little thought here…….Just take a scope at the list of RBs that had success in a Tom Brady huddle………You won’t see no flashy names but you will see production. If guys like James White and Steven Ridley can get the job done we might be alright.

  466. Rod Munch Says:

Hey guys, I just wanted to let you know that during these challenging times, our company cares about you. YOU. I’m talking to YOU. WE CARE! The other guys? They lie when they say they care, but WE do care. Give us your money.

Oh, BTW, did you know there was a plague going around? Just in case you didn’t know, I wanted to let you know there was a plague. Just in case you didn’t hear.

    Now enjoy this death dedication.

  467. Alaskan Abdominal Snowman Says:

Moss is the second best back in this draft after CEH. Kareem Hunt without the roundhouse.

  468. JimmyJack Says:

Troy Pride Troy Pride Troy Pride!!!!! Make it happen Licht.

  469. TBonr47 Says:

C’mon rod munch these kids have been working their whole life. They are showing pride if they cry .. they made it. It’s all worth the sweat.

  470. Joe Says:

Have thrown in the towel on RBs for this year.

Hamler is excellent value right now.

  471. Admiral Redbeard Says:

Moss runs a 4.65-40. Haven’t we already been down this road with slower RB’s? Stop it people!

  472. Gettinthebucs Says:

Moss second best back? Nope that was probably cam

  473. Rod Munch Says:

JimmyJack – HEY, wow, you’re finally coming around. RB is not an issue, plenty available in FA – and we can always trade away a future pick for someone who got a back in this draft. Like Mack, or even Aaron Jones maybe, heck maybe Mark Ingram or Fournette. There’s tons of RB options, they’re a dime a dozen.

  474. Alaskan Abdominal Snowman Says:

If you say Moss is not special then you probably know nothing except his combine numbers. They don’t play football in underwear they play in pads where this guy is a terror.

  475. Coburn Says:

Am I wrong or is height less important at safety than at corner where the guy is more likely to be playing in the guys back pocket?
    Gimme baun or moss

  476. Fire JASON LICHT Says:

They need to pick up RB ANTHONY McFarland!! With this next pick .

  477. SKBucsFan Says:

The pick needs to be Fromm. Two years to learn under TB12 and he could be a clone. Has the same football sense and quick release. Threw less interceptions in 3 years than our last guy threw in 3 games.
If not Fromm (for some odd reason) then it would be fun to have Little Booger.

  478. Alaskan Abdominal Snowman Says:

Moss broken tackle rate is just unheard of. We don’t need 2 or 3 80 yard runs in a season if the dude is bashing 5 per run. That’s what Moss is, an Ezekiel Elliott type.

  479. JimmyJack Says:

Saints just jumped us. Fire Licht now

  480. ncbucsfan Says:

Zack Moss! Alvin Kamara ran a 4.6 40 too at the combine…and he wasn’t as big. Watch the tape, not the combine stats

  481. FortMyersDave Says:

    Saints trade: get #74 from Cleveland for #88 and a 2021 3rd….

  482. ncbucsfan Says:

The Kareem Hunt comp for Moss is dead spot on!

  483. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    Eason. Eason. Eason. Eason.

  484. Rod Munch Says:

Coburn – Height isn’t a must for a safety, but if they’re trying to line up with 6′ 6″ TE’s like OJ, that’s an issue. But as someone pointed out Earl Thomas is only 5′ 10″ – so he’s not that far off the mark. It’s a bit risky, in my mind, but if he’s good, then it won’t hold him back. He has good speed, is supposed to be a ball hawk and is supposed to be able to tackle.

  485. ElBajito43 Says:

    Noooo FROM SUCKS BRO

  486. Coburn Says:

Seems like a steal for the Saints… dang

  487. ElBajito43 Says:

    Let’s GOOO BONZAI
    EASON JACOB

  488. Rod Munch Says:

For what it’s worth, Zack Baun doesn’t look like a LB, he looks like a D-bag, but then again most Saints players look like D-bags.

  489. Alaskan Abdominal Snowman Says:

    Come on Moss!

  490. FortMyersDave Says:

And the Saints get Zach Baun

  491. Alaskan Abdominal Snowman Says:

    Hahaha Rod

  492. FortMyersDave Says:

Didn’t Baun have a diluted urine test? Definitely hurt his stock….

  493. ElBajito43 Says:

Ok LICHT the guy is there. Do what’s right for the team. TB12 is 43 and one hit away from being out for multiple games, draftva legit backup who can learn

  494. JimmyJack Says:

I would not make mind a RB here in the third. My whole thing was it would be negligent to leave Day 2 without a defenisive player like many fans wanted.

We got us a safety so I’m happy. And I love the success Bowles has with DBs so I think this pick has a great chance to pan out.

  495. Alaskan Abdominal Snowman Says:

If we draft a QB I’m going to earn my moderation status here. Too bad y’all willl never see it

  496. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Well, whoever it is, it took them seconds to send in the pick.

  497. ElBajito43 Says:

    Waow wtf! FIRE 🔥 LICHT

  498. ncbucsfan Says:

    KeShawn Vaughn!! #LFG

  499. SKBucsFan Says:

    Gimmee Vaughn WILD THING!

  500. King C Says:

    Ah, boy.

  501. Alaskan Abdominal Snowman Says:

If we get Moss, combined with the other picks, this will probably be my favorite draft in a looong time.

  502. Alaskan Abdominal Snowman Says:

    Choke

  503. rrsrq Says:

Well, didn’t see that one coming

  504. SKBucsFan Says:

Non-descript RB. Will not likely have an impact. Sad!

  505. ElBajito43 Says:

What a FAT SLOB u are Jason Trash Licht

  506. Rojas Says:

    Uhh lol.

  507. JimmyJack Says:

Atta boy Licht. You just nailed anther draft!!!

  508. FortMyersDave Says:

Okay Vaughn, guess the brain trust had him rated higher than Moss or Perine….

  509. BUC CHEEKS Says:

Did we just draft another ROJO?????????????

  510. Kevinator24 Says:

    Dude calm down…

  511. Gettinthebucs Says:

Meh forgot about this dude. I won’t complain and I’ll withhold judgement until I see dude get down in a bucs uniform.

  512. Alaskan Abdominal Snowman Says:

    Wt actual F.

This is like the MJ Stewart pick. Dumb.

  513. JimmyJack Says:

ElBajito what is your problem? Are you mental?

  514. Rob in Land O Lakes Says:

Check out Vaughn on YouTube. Solid pick.

  515. King C Says:

    poor man’s Clyde Edwards Helaire
I woulda preferred Z. Moss or Eno Benjamin but maybe we had to reach bc we gave away both our 4th rounders
Well, onto training camp we go (if there is one)

  516. Admiral Redbeard Says:

Anyone who thinks THIS is a good pick, I urge you to go to NFL combine results, and check out what is said about his weaknesses. Vaughn isn’t even going to make it as a backup in this league.

  517. Coburn Says:

Don’t know anything about this guy but we got a back. Hopefully he’s good.. they picked him quickly right? Just cause he’s not a big name.. but does sound like a lot of other times we outsmarted ourselves

  518. Kevinator24 Says:

This guy compares to James White. I’m A ok with that

  519. Proudbucsfan Says:

    Who is Keyshawn Vaughn ????????????

  520. DBS Says:

Look at the babies crying AGAIN!!

  521. BigZ Says:

When they ask for a comment on the pick and there is a long pause..its a JL pick. Come on we passed on Dobbins for a Vanda back. I watch a lot of CFB who is this guy? Not an Eason fan but way better value and upside. JL is clueless. Was this a 6th round pick we take in.the 5th? Zuniga Gabe Davis, or Lewis from Bama.

  522. SKBucsFan Says:

I guess it could have been a kicker!!!??? Licht just drafted another Rojo. Maybe two are better than one?

  523. Alaskan Abdominal Snowman Says:

This was a terrible pick, Charles Sims was a better back than this dude. No lie.

  524. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Okay, I can see it. He’s a hard hitting, between the tackles runner with very good hands. He’s 2 inches short than I would like, and a little light, but pounds will be added in the NFL.

I can wrap my head around it.

Complain all you wish, but Arians and Licht are going with the safe, non-splashy players. Guys that can succeed…and play a lot of years.

So far, this iis a solid, if unpredictable draft.

Jacob Eason is still available…and I want him, but I have a feeling we’ll take QB Nate Stanley with a later pick.

  525. Rod Munch Says:

Humm… I just watched his highlights and it was just him running through big holes. There were a few nice plays here and there, but in my mind, college RBs need to dominate and have tons of highlights to be worth taking even in the 3rd round. Maybe this was just a bad highlight reel.

  526. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    Kevinator24 Says:
    April 24th, 2020 at 10:22 pm

“This guy compares to James White.”

    Jamaal Williams you mean.

  527. JimmyJack Says:

I guarantee most of the people whining have never paid attention to this guy before. Same ones who cryed about Bunting last year most likely.

They are upset because Mel Kiper told them to be.

Understand a little draft history and let the kids know get one freaking carry as a Buccaneer you ever loving morons.

Welcome to the team KeShawn……….GO BUCS!!!!!!

  528. Jeagan1999 Says:

So let’s get this straight…..Jason Licht would rather have an undersized Safety and this kid Vaughn….who is probably the 10th-12th best runner in the Draft….instead of JK Dobbins (the most explosive back in this Draft) and then come back with a guy like Eason, to be groomed as the QB of the future, or…..anybody else….because Wirfs and Dobbins alone would have made this Draft an A+!

    Unbelievable.

  529. LUVMYBUCS Says:

    Smh

  530. sincethebeginning Says:

I get the sense with this Vaughn pick that the coaching staff no longer wants to deal with immature, undeveloped running backs who left college too early. They want an older, more mentally prepared, mature back I think.

But I don’t think Vaughn has the skills to do anything better than what Peyton Barber ever did. I really don’t like this back compare with others who are still available. Feels like somebody over-thought it.

  531. rrsrq Says:

This pick show the confidence they are going into season with ROJO or they are looking at bringing in some comp in free agency. Didn’t everyone say how Brady brings out the best in everyone? Who heard of James White or Rex Burkhead before Brady.

  532. Jason Mclaurin Says:

Solid pick with the vandy back now we gotta trade back into the fourth to get a DT. I would sleep well if we drafted Leki Fotu at some point tonight.

  533. JimmyJack Says:

Admiral don’t be a ass. Good football players are made on the grass…….Not on a combine track

  534. ToesOnTheLine!!! Says:

This one feels like a reach, but otherwise happy with the Bucs 1st and 2nd round picks. Must be something about Moss’s knee injury making the Bucs (and other teams) pass on him at TB? He seemed like the pick if they wanted RB in round 3.

  535. SKBucsFan Says:

Maybe there is some merit in taking someones cast-off QB. The trend of the future. It has worked for other teams.
I thought a legit project QB under TB12’s leadership made more sense than a small RB with average speed.

  536. Marine Buc Says:

Nice pick. This guy was stuck on a bad Vanderbilt team and still performed very well. He fits our offense perfectly. Good pick!!!

  537. FortMyersDave Says:

Now do the Bucs call NE about OJ Howard? The Bellicheats have 3rd rounders at 87 and 100……

  538. Doug Says:

Tommy Townsend is still out there!

  539. Jerry Says:

Either no one wants OJ Howard. Or they know we are going to dump him.

We won’t get anything for him.

  540. Alaskan Abdominal Snowman Says:

How is Vaughn a solid pick over Zack friggin Moss? What universe would you pick him first? I can’t wrap my head around it. Someone tell me Vaughn is anything but a JAG. Please tell me

  541. bucsnole Says:

Just reading the comments on this site makes me wonder if some of you have ever watched the Bucs play ever. It’s like guys here are playing Madden in coach mode, trying to build an imaginary team. Most uninformed fan base. We needed a T, S and RB and that’s what we have. Wish we could have gotten Cam Akers, but at least we have someone to help RoJo.

  542. sincethebeginning Says:

@fortmyersdave just what I was thinking too

  543. JimmyJack Says:

A QB did make sense but either way we did have to add a RB from somewhere. We simply didn’t have enough on the roster.

  544. FortMyersDave Says:

Yeah Jerry, you’re probably right. Anyone who wants a TE will call the Bucs tomorrow at the earliest… So much for a can’t miss steal with character, that is what a few pundits said when the Bucs took Howard. Hmm seems like they got a total bust instead who is an athlete without heart.

  545. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Consecutive 1000+ yard seasons. Good pass catcher too.

I may not be getting anyone on my wishlist so far, but I like this draft. Last year, a lot of you freaked out when they took the secondary players, and that worked out great.

So my advice is to see how these guys are by the end of the season at least.

  546. John Says:

what a running back choice. could have gotten him in 6 round. leave it to the buc’s to stink things up when everything is going fine. WTF crazy pick

  547. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    Jerry Says
“Either no one wants OJ Howard. Or they know we are going to dump him.”

Or the Bucs don’t actually want to get rid of him. Smoke and mirrors, buddy.

  548. Tut Says:

Our backup QB project should be James Morgan in the 5th.

  549. Admiral Redbeard Says:

JJ, I wasn’t even looking at his numbers. I read the analysis and it was not what we needed. He’s more of a clone of Barber, who we just let walk.

  550. Steven007 Says:

Good production. Same exact 40 time as Nick Chubb.

  551. Bobby Says:

Vaughn is hardly a ROJO. I think it was a solid pick. He can catch out of the backfield and breaks tackles after the catch. Should be a solid pass blocker too. Big dude. Good compliment to ROJO.

  552. John Says:

Hope Jones is ready to come alive. I doubt this pic will even make the team

  553. Steven007 Says:

4.52 to be exact. Not bad for a stout RB like him.

  554. Admiral Redbeard Says:

Licht overthought this pick. He would have been there in the 6th or 7th.

  555. JimmyJack Says:

According to fans on this site Noah Spence was a absolute steal of a pick and Bunting was was a epic failure.

Yet y’all come back and repeat the same thing every year.

It takes more then combine scores and mock draft status to develope in solid NFL players. Some guys got it some guys don’t…….Stop pretending like y’all know what “it” is. You don’t.

  556. Alaskan Abdominal Snowman Says:

What red beard said. Way over reached. Moss and Benjamin are better backs with more upside.

  557. Kevinator24 Says:

    Preach JimmyJack lol.

  558. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Tomorrow, I wouldn’t ming getting Kicker Rodrigo Blankenship. He just looks cool, lol.

  559. Rod Munch Says:

I wrote this in the other RB thread, but as a follow-up, I found a different highlight video that is 9:11, and he looks a lot better in that one. I don’t know about the basic north/south label, I didn’t see that in this other video, he’s not shifty, but he does make some good jukes to make guys miss – but he runs in a way that you can tell he has good vision. Good vision is THE top trait for RBs so long as they have at least acceptable speed, and this guy does.

There wasn’t a lot of him catching the ball, but he looked smooth doing it.

I didn’t want a RB pick, don’t think we need it, but I don’t mind this one the more I see.

  560. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    John Says
“Hope Jones is ready to come alive. I doubt this pic will even make the team”

We have the open spot, so unless an undrafted guy comes in and out-does him, he’ll make the team.

And it’s going to be hard for the undrafted guys this year…with no camps or OTAs.

We also don’t have the money to get Fornette.

  561. JimmyJack Says:

Well admiral like I said good football players are made on grass. Not on a sheet of paper or on a internet screen reading his bio.

Yeah if he’s a Barber clone it wasn’t a great pick. We are yet to get to that point.

  562. Rod Munch Says:

BTW, the new Rams logo is just beyond awful, it’s terrible.

  563. JimmyJack Says:

I just don’t see the point of not being behind a pick before you ever even saw him play. That’s just not my style. I guess we are all different though.

To be honest it all just sounds like a temper tantrum because you didn’t get you way. Similar to how a toddler would act.

  564. Rod Munch Says:

JimmyJack – Watching more of him, he’s not anything like Barber — if anything he’s more like Ronnie. As I see more of him, I don’t know where the basic north/south stuff is coming from, in the highlights he’s running north and south, but he is flowing in and out of traffic and can juke guys out of their shoes. He’s not a put your head down for 3 yards and a pile of dust guy like Barber.

The only issue is Ronnie is already that runner, so getting a similar guy isn’t giving you a complimentary skill set. But whatever, no idea how they see things, maybe Jones is still in the dog house.

  565. NDog is an idiot Says:

North-South Runner w good hands! Like the pick. Would of loved Akers/Dobbins in the second.. went to Vandy for a couple years. He’s got to be Smarter than McPlaybook! Seen him play the Gators and LSU. Dudes got heart! And talent.. Poor mans CEH in many aspects with out the Jukes’. Moss’s knee problems maybe why he continues to slide

  566. Blocking back Says:

    This from draftnetwork.com

    Best Trait – Vision

    Worst Trait – Pass Protection

    Best Film – LSU (2018)

    Worst Film – Florida (2019)

    Red Flags – None

Player Summary – Ke’Shawn Vaughn projects as a low ceiling running back at the NFL level. Vaughn shows good vision between the tackles and fulfills all of the basic requisites of an NFL back, but he doesn’t really have any traits that he can really hang his hat on as a next level player that would prompt a team to provide him with a featured role. He’s a quality back-up running back as part of a stable, but he’s not going to demand his pro team to feed him carries. Depth player and as such, a Day 3 target.

  567. SKBucsFan Says:

Like every draft , every year with Licht at the helm I am disappointed and left shaking my head. However, all the complaining in the world won’t change anything now. In the end I still hope all of these guys will be pro-bowl studs.

  568. Admiral Redbeard Says:

JJ, I do agree, great players are made on the grass. I hope he works out. Wasted draft picks is never good.

  569. Tut Says:

To the people complaining about Winfield being to short at 5’9″… Tyrann Mathieu is also 5’9″ and it doesn’t look like it’s much of an issue for him.

  570. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    Zack Moss gone.

On the bright side, I remember when people here wanted Brain Hill. How did he work out/>?

  571. Ghost of Darrell Henderson Says:

Somehow passing on Cam Akers feels just like passing on Dalvin Cook.

  572. The Scourge Says:

The 2021 season will be a dumpster fire for the ages. Will probably look a lot like 2011. At least Licht will be gone. I think he’s pulled the last of the rabbits out of his hat this offseason.

  573. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Heading to bed, gonne stream on my tablet. Later

  574. Admiral Redbeard Says:

NDog likes him. Now I’m seriously worried. lol, just kidding pupster. I think (hope) we all wish him to do well.

  575. David Says:

Does everyone agree they are a playoff team?
That the defense has improved Drastically the last 2 years?
That the offense could be the best the Bucs have ever had?

Then why are so many bitching and whining about Licht and his picks????

HE BUILT MOST OF THIS TEAM!

There sure are a lot of ignorant football fans in Tampa.

  576. The Scourge Says:

Not everyone agrees they are a playoff team.

  577. Admiral Redbeard Says:

Oh wait, that’s Ndog is an idiot, haha. See what happens when you sail with the Captain during the draft. CHEERS!

  578. JimmyJack Says:

Rod Munch I saw a few clips of this guy catching the ball. He looks pretty natural at it.

I will hope that this is part of the reason they drafted him. That would add something that Ronald doesn’t do.

  579. David Says:

All the licht haters realize he built this team right ? Lol. Idiots and haters.
    Vaughn or Moss…. WHO CARES? It’s a 3rd rd RB. It’s a crap shoot.
At least Vaughn played real competition and he can catch and is explosive and doesn’t dance around.
    Sounds good to me.

As Winfield- don’t like the height BUT he is a ball hawk and can tackle.
    So we shall see.

3 rounds, 3 massive needs met.

  580. Rod Munch Says:

Goodell just said the NFL raised millions for covi*-19. Wow, the NFL are terrible people, why would you want to raise money for that!?! What terrible people.

  581. FortMyersDave Says:

Hmm, Akers went the Lambs…I did hope he’d be a Buc but Licht went safety….
Hey. I thought Darrell Henderson was supposed to be a steal last year which is why they traded with Licht for #70 for 2 late 3rds. Guess that Memphis kid did not pan out.

  582. FortMyersDave Says:

Rod, I just hope the money goes to people in need not like govt loans to ruth Chris……

  583. Rod Munch Says:

JimmyJack – He didn’t catch a ton of passes, but he looked pretty smooth doing it. I’d have to see more than highlights to really get a feel for him, but some of his early highlights at Illinois, I think I see what the Bucs see.

  584. SKBucsFan Says:

Well David it’s been 5 plus drafts and he hasn’t had a playoff team yet. He missed hard on 2 (maybe 3 with OJ) of his 5 1st rounders. Has only helped his D-line with one early pick during that time. And up until yesterday he drafted only 2 O-Linemen =, and they were 3rd rounders. Ask John Lynch if stacking your lines helps you win games. 3 years and they went to the SuperBowl. This isn’t rocket science. If he just quit reaching every draft I would have less issue with him.

I do give him credit for his free agents. I would say more have performed than haven’t.

  585. Rod Munch Says:

FortMyersDave – He didn’t say it was for relief, he just said it was for the plague. See, that was the joke. Had to see him stumble on TV otherwise I guess it makes no sense.

  586. Rod Munch Says:

Why do people want to chase off OJ? Have you read how the team plans on using Gronk more as a receiver? The nonsense here of wanting everyone to bust because they’re not mean enough, GRRRRR!!!!! If you’re not mean, you can’t play, GRRRRR!!!!!

What I hope is they tell OJ to lose like 20lbs and put him at WR – the Bucs have garbage depth at WR. If you get rid of OJ, and lets say Gronk gets injured like he had been all the time his last few years in the league, now you have just Brate at a position where you were the deepest in the league. That would be stupid.

  587. FortMyersDave Says:

Ahh, Thanks Rod, I’m not watching. Following the draft on computer now so I am missing the follies!

  588. The Scourge Says:

Yes David, we realize he built the team and it’s never achieved anything of note. I think Jason has earned most of that blame don’t you? Some people have qualified them for the playoffs already. I see older players at the end of their careers at HUGE positions and that carries a high probability for disaster. I’m also not sure this draft has helped this team that much. These statements may be obvious but they aren’t ignorant.

  589. FortMyersDave Says:

Rod, I think it is the perception about OJ that is putting people off. He says he has not spoken to Brady but he will get around to it while Brady says he got the phone numbers of all the guys he will be working with. Then add in the addition of Gronk and perhaps people assume that would make OJ unhappy. I don’t know what the guy is thinking but I think he has not performed to the level which we expected when he was a “can’t miss” good character wholesome pick from Bama and he did show some flash early, then he got hurt and then he found the Arian doghouse…..

  590. SKBucsFan Says:

Those 4th round picks would be nice to have back now. Could package them up and trade up to get Fromm.

  591. JimmyJack Says:

Rod I want OJ gone because I think he sucks as a football player. Plain and simple for me.

The three things I want in a TE
    1) soft hand
    2) can work the middle of the field
    3) physicality……ideally as a blocker

    OJ does none of that

Luke Stocker was a better football player.

  592. Rod Munch Says:

FortMyersDave – Well he should be really happy if they say lets get you a lot more balls as WR, he’d make a hell of a lot more money there if he was any good. From the Bucs side I don’t know why you wouldn’t try it – if they don’t like his blocking, then move him out so he doesn’t have to block.

OJ had an awful year last year, but his first two years he looked like a future star if he could stay healthy. You don’t throw away guys like that. Why Arians doesn’t like him, I don’t know, but I find it impossible to think Brady won’t like him. Why he said he’d talk to Brady later, I don’t know, but we are going through a pandemic. Who knows what was happening at the time he was asked about it, if he was like a lot of people, they were at the time in full panic mode. But I’ve never heard anything about OJ not being a good guy, and Arians talked about him like he still fully expects to have him around (not that it means much since coaches often do that).

  593. FortMyersDave Says:

Pats get #91 and 159 from raiders for #s 100, 139, 172. So looks like no dealing to be made with Bellicheat.

  594. Rod Munch Says:

JimmyJack – OJ doesn’t suck at football. He had a bad year last year, in years 1 and 2 he looked like a future all-pro. Also he’s not a great blocker, but he’s not terrible either. He is however a 1st round pick by the team, and I don’t like throwing those guys away. The guy has tons of talent, showned tons of promise pre-BA, so just get him back on track.

Also, no, Luke Stocker is not a better NFL player, if you honestly believe that then you might need to get an MRI to make sure you haven’t had a stroke or some other condition that has cut off blood flow to parts of your brain.

  595. FortMyersDave Says:

Yeah Rod, we have to remember that misdirection is a key tool in the draft, free agency and other nuances of the NFL and perhaps the stories about Howard in the media are a bit of a smokescreen. For all we know, OJ might be an integral part of the offense. Time will tell.

  596. JimmyJack Says:

I disagree OJ looked like a future star. All’s I ever saw the guy do was run if there are no tacklers around.

So ynless you can scheme him wide ass open he’s pretty well useless.

He’s always had issues holding onto passes. He does not have good hands. It just wound up costing us much more this year.

No hands, can’t work through traffic, can’t block worth a lick. I don’t see anything star TE about the guy.

  597. JimmyJack Says:

Oh no. OJ is a terrible blocker. Terrible. If you set there and really focus on OJ and watch him he is awful in blocking. And our OL gets racked over the coals for our poor running game but OJ was a big reason why. Maybe the biggest reason.

  598. JimmyJack Says:

All that said I will give OJ a clean slate if he does stay.

But only because we have Tom and Brady might be able to get him to rise his game. Gronk might teach him something too.

I won’t bet on it but I will keep my mouth shut about OJ if he stays.

But I won’t be surprised if Tom Brady quickly loses trust in OJ and does not throw to him.

  599. FortMyersDave Says:

With pick 101 the Bellicheats select a TE from Va Tech. No need for OJ in Foxborough…

  600. FortMyersDave Says:

Talk about doubling down. 2 TEs in 3rd by Pats…..

  601. Rod Munch Says:

JimmyJack – He has a lot of catches with someone right on his back, but in large part he was so wide open because he’s a matchup nightmare, a guy who is 6′ 6″ 251 and runs a 4.51, bigger and faster than Evans. Under Dirk he was schemed open, but that’s what you should do for good players, get them the ball in places were they can make plays. Teams played back on him because they were scared he’d run over the top. The guy is a legit weapon, at least under Dirk he was.

Under BA, I don’t know what he did to get in the dog house, but last year he was not very good. He personally caused a bunch of INTs, most famously the around the world dribble against the Saints.

But the guy has tons of talent and there’s no reason to give up on him. If they can get a good return, then OK, move him and turn it into a 3rd WR. But frankly I’d rather keep him – I just can not see Brady not loving him. Worst case you use him mainly as a WR, best case, he’s back on track and is a pro-bowler this year.

  602. Rod Munch Says:

JimmyJack – I went back and watched some OJ highlights just to make sure I wasn’t remembering things wrong, and nope, he looks like a stud. A bunch of contested catches to go along with stuff where he’s open, but he’s also just running away from LBs on a lot of these routes. They need to show this highlight reel to BA so he realizes what he has – and I’m sure Brady has seen this already.

His blocking is not bad – he’s fine. This is like the false rep that Alstott got, that he couldn’t block, it was nonsense. At the same time guys can improve as blockers, most do. Last year he got in trouble because he was juggling easy passes – that is a huge no-no.

Anyways, watching these highlights got me excited about him again. Get OJ the DAMN ball!

  603. JimmyJack Says:

Rod Munch we just disagree. OJ just aren’t my cup of tea man.

We all got our own ways of looking at things. We just don’t see eye to eye on this one. Never will.

I’ll admitt the guy has some untapped potential and I very well could be proven wrong. That’s fine. If it was me I’d already be done with this guy…..The bottom line for me is I could never trust this guy in a big game or a big moment. I don’t think you win with guy like that.

Lump him in with the Ty Hilton’s and Amiri Coopers of the world who are really good talented players that melt in big games……..For good measure you can put Gerald himself into that catergory.

  604. JimmyJack Says:

And Rod Munch if you don’t know what OJ did to get in the doghouse rewatch the 49ers game. And not just the fumble or dropped pass. Every play. You will see a awful football player on that field.

  605. JimmyJack Says:

You watched highlights? Hahaha…….I just did that for Hargreaves. I think we made a mistake.

  606. NDog is an idiot Says:

Cheers Admiral… long couple of nights.. best player available rest of the way. 7th rounders need to be players that we feel may not sign w us as UDFA. They are late first rounders! Good spot for guards from smaller schools to coach up
