Manning On Brady And The Bucs

April 20th, 2020

Talks about new Bucs sheriff.

There are going to be a lot of different things for Tom Brady this year.

Yeah, he’s with the Bucs living in waterfront (rental) property. And he will play in the NFC South, which surprised his former rival, Peyton Manning.

The retired Broncos and Colts quarterback spoke on BSPN about Brady and the Bucs recently. Manning said Brady moving to the NFC was a curveball.

“He seems happy. He seems excited,” Manning said of Brady. “I’m surprised he jumped over to the NFC. I always see Tom Brady as an AFC guy. He’s going to have to go through an initiation to learn the ropes of the NFC. But they’ve got a great team around him it sounds like.”

Manning added that Brady will no longer have division rivals that just roll over for him. And Manning also discussed how three of his old coaches are now coaching Brady.

  2. StonedBuc Says:

Tom will be the first qb to win a super bowl in 2 conferences and win a superbowl at home.

Those are the records he is chasing now.

  3. StonedBuc Says:

Brady came to bury brees. And brees even knows it already talking to nbc. Now brees wont even be in the debate of goat.

  4. Scotty in Fat Antonio Says:

Peter King this morning is a MORON….The last time NFL teams picked three receivers in the top 20—as is the forecast this year—the receivers were Corey Davis, Mike Williams and John Ross, picked 5-7-9 in 2017. None is a star. None is close.

I’ve been thinking about this since I saw the Manning interview yesterday, but cannot wrap my head around what it means to “be an AFC guy.” It’s not like Brady is losing the DH by coming to the NFC!

  7. El Buco Realisto Says:

The “real” Brady plan, hope and top priority, is for Brees to retire after this year, and for Brady to have a huge production this year and 2021 to move him to NFL’s all time passer!!!!!!!!!!! That is why he is here sheep!!!!!!!!!!!

    go bucs!!!!!!!!!!!

  8. Bobby M. Says:

Just read that Josh Rosen is two months younger then Joe Burrow. I think if the Bucs consider going three deep at QB, he might be worth snagging and sitting behind Brady for a few yrs. He’s had terrible circumstances to succeed in, no blocking, back to back rebuild teams. He might be salvageable and still relatively young.

  9. Dewey Selmon Says:

Yep Bobby M. I wait until round 4 and see if the Dolphins will trade Rosen.

  10. 541BucsFan Says:

What happens if Herbert drops to 14? Do you take him and sit him for two years behind Brady? I wouldn’t mind having a long-term and short-term plan in place.

    Let’s just hope there’s actually a season…
