ESPN: Signs Point To Tampa For Brady

March 17th, 2020

Tampa-bound say ESPN.

When the most plugged-in NFL reporter says it looks like it’s happening, it’s fair to say it will happen.

Adam Schefter of ESPN took to Twitter moments ago and wrote, while nothing officially is locked in quite yet, all roads for future Hall of Fame quarterback Tom Brady are headed to One Buc Palace as the new Bucs quarterback.

Feel free to connect dots but earlier in the day, Schefter had quoted Bucs AC/DC-loving general manager Jason Licht.

So it seems Brady will be the Bucs new quarterback. What that means for Mr. Entertainment, America’s Quarterback, Pro Bowler Jameis Winston remains to be seen.

Hope this site is ready, views and followers gonna be crazy excited to see what else we do on offense to help Brady

  6. Hethrew 30 Says:

Can’t wait to see Brady announced at the game and he runs out onto the field. The stadium will be packed, and it is going to erupt! Engergize the fan base; mentor the next QB; usher in a new era for the Bucs; send that disgraceful stain on humanity who wasted five years of Bucs fans’ time packing.

  7. oxycondoms Says:

will the real America’s qb please stand up

  8. Tbbucs3 Says:

    Pilability is coming to TB!

Do not want to hear any Jameis hate especially when he is down right now.

  9. Dewey Selmon Says:

Dude has the best WR combo in his career. I’m not concerned about his arm, it’s his legs and if he can get out of trouble. I can see a prime time Monday night opener.

  10. BrianBucs Says:

    YES!!! YES!!! YES!!!
    BRADY!!! BRADY!!! BRADY!!!

Brady will be the hated loser now.

  12. Hethrew 30 Says:

Winston may be headed to the Rams.

    The San Angelo State team.

  13. Ndog Says:

What is soooooooo frustrating is that we now have these idiots on ESPN talking about us like they know anything about us. They sitting up there saying our defense was “pretty special”. Are you kidding me? Do they have a chance to be good yes indeed but dont act like you been watching us at all over the past 14 years. Heck they talking about how Brady is going to look ugly in our uniforms not even knowing that we are getting new uniforms. They just called Godwin freaking Goodwin, give me a freaking break.

  14. Bobby Says:

    This is outstanding!

  15. Elita Vita Says:

Ok when it’s official Tom Brady should model the new uniforms! Unveil those new uniforms while the fans are hot Bucs Brass! What do you say?

  16. Jonathan Limpchimpi Says:

Chargers at the 11th hour…just can’t believe this until it’s done. Call me a Nervous Nelly/Doubting Thomas. Been hurt before… 🙂

  17. DaBux Says:

My poor wife. Once he signs, I’m buying a Brady Bucs jersey and am on permanent viagra until football season starts.

  18. Brad Says:

Feels like the world is ending

  19. Rod Munch Says:

Chinese scientists have just released a study showing that hot and humid weather significantly reduces the spread of Covid-19.

“We find, under a linear regression framework for 100 Chinese cities, high temperature and high relative humidity significantly reduce the transmission of COVID-19.”

The Bucs need to be using that as a selling point.

  20. DaBux Says:

Be nice to be relevant again, if only for a season or 2. – Colonel Angus

Guess what pissed off QB will be a UFA in a few years? Yeah, DeShaun Watson. Works for me.

  21. reply Says:

Excuse me while I go stick my finger in my mouth.

2020 season = disaster with dispappointing (and unrealistic) expections

  22. MarineBucsFan Says:

    I’m so hype!! Let’s gooo!!!

  23. Marlow1976 Says:

We have seen this one before. That 11th hour hi jinx.

  24. Rod Munch Says:

    Marlow1976 – We’ve seen it more than once…

I’m getting a bit excited, but will save any true excitement for when he actually signs, and the contract is in hand and he’s holding up a Bucs jersey.

  25. BigMacAttack Says:

We’re so winning the offseason, camp, and OTA’s.

  26. Matt Says:

Tb12 is the best leader of our generation. This is beyond big, this instantly changes our franchise forever. Brady makes our entire team better and he’s going to put up video game stats with these weapons 4700 yards 37 tds 5 ints and top 3 in mvp voting. Now we just need a RT and a receiving RB and Brady is as dangerous as he’s ever been.

    I’m beyond happy!!!!

  27. lowercaseg Says:

    SUPERBOWLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

  28. Mister Negative Nancy Says:

Smile Carolyn, there’s justice in the world

  29. John Says:

    A-Men to being relevant again….

  30. LazyMoak Says:

    Welcome Gisele !!!

  31. Tye Says:

An actual NFL caliber QB in a Buccaneers uniform…
    Times they are a changing!

  32. BigMacAttack Says:

Gisele is at International Mall shopping. We good 😂

  33. Pick6King Says:

    Bye bye Jamoist!!!!

  34. mh1023 Says:

Your Buccaneers are relevant again, full stop. The locker room will change, and whomever they draft to replace TB12 will adopt this mindset. I’ve been waiting on this change since 2008. If Tom Brady can’t fix this locker room they need to BleachBit the organization. The culture has been a nightmare when the last Bucs icons walked out the door. Winning is about culture, every team has talent.

  35. LazyMoak Says:

Jameis is the 5 year with out chair in musical chairs and Ndog is the 5 year who’s balloon slipped thru his fingers and is drifting out of sight

  36. Chris Says:

Tom Brady is America’s QB. Jameis Winston never earned that title. Idk where that came from.

  37. JimmyJack Says:

I’m giddy like a school girl right now……Glued to my TV set and drooling.

When I heard the ESPN report I shrieked.

Literally shaking in pure Glee and excitement…….Can’t even control myself!!!!!!

  38. Hethrew 30 Says:

Fox News The Five, Juan Williams and Dana Perino…plenty of talk of Tom Brady and Bucs…unheard of.

First Commercial of Brady in a Bucs Uni: “I trust Uber to take me to new places (getting out at OBP); and they know they can trust me, the Bucs QB! My how times change!”

  39. reply Says:

Giving a QB 30 mil in the twilight of his career is a mistake no matter who it is. BA will be fired on black monday 2021. Dude (Brady) has been on the decline for years. People act as if we were a QB away from winning football when we still have these issues:

    NO RB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    Medicore OL
TEs on the decline (Brady likes TEs btw)
Interior DL maybe issue with possible loss of Suh
DBs still a question at best
and P!$$ POOR special teams unit (K for sure)
Salary Cap Space (Brady=30 mil, JPP 12 or 13 mil ish, and Barret @ 16 mil) just put us at 20 million remaining.

This is a mistake, house cleaning is coming in 2021 and it should inlcude the owners.

    #ItsABucsLife

  40. THETRUTH Says:

This is why Ian beckles talks out of his a$$ as if he knows it all and know one else does he should apologize Ron.

    Let go TB

  41. Ed Kerber Says:

    Reply wrote;

2020 season = disaster with dispappointing (and unrealistic) expections

    #ItsABucsLife

    Ed Kerber says:

A play-off season is more realistic with Brady than a non-losing season with Jameis!

They had to do this. If the Bucs didn’t win in 2020 it will be a rebuild/possible end of franchise moment. If Bucs win in 2020. the franchise is saved for 5 more years.

  42. JimmyJack Says:

OMG I hope they sign right on the stroke on midnight!!!!

I am way too excited to sleep!!!!!

  43. George Rauh Says:

Daft a QB in the 2nd or third round and learn from the best

  44. JimmyJack Says:

    Brady=Disaster???

Y’all must be tapped in the head.

  45. mark2001 Says:

I can’t wait to see the O line start playing much better. You better believe if Brady gets hit, the O lineman allowing it will be in the deepest S you can imagine. I expect the entire team to step up their game. It is called leadership.

  46. Bobbo Says:

    Let’s go make a run!!!

  47. JimBobBucsFan Says:

Not only could the Bucs become relevant again, we actually could have a real chance at winning a Super Bowl in the next couple of years.

Should that happen BA could of course ride off into the sunset and retire to his ranch.  One of the people he has groomed could then take over as head coach and try to keep us relevant.

Alternatively, BA could be “kicked upstairs” in a franchise reorganization in a new  role as some kind of “Director of the Vision” overseer and try to keep things rolling that way. (His wife would understand. Football is his life.)

    No risk it, no biscuit!

  48. Elita Vita Says:

And Bucs fans, get this ….Bucs play Pats in 2021 at Gillette stadium. WOW!

  49. Ivan The Insider Says:

    BUH BYE, AMERICA’S BACKUP QB.

  50. Rod Munch Says:

A group of Bucs coaches went out that night to a watering hole near their training complex near Disney World in Orlando, Florida, thinking Favre was theirs….

I’ll wait and see what happens.

  51. WhatTheBuc Says:

NFL network says Brady has a deal in principle with the Bucs. Its official

  52. Sport Says:

If this comes true, it’s a franchise changing signing. To Ndogs point, they don’t know much about us right now, but they will. No more overlooking this team.

    Proper recognition is coming.

    In BA I Trust!

  53. ATrain Says:

Oh No we will lose a HOF QB

I wonder where he will go

I have scanned all the channels and I can’t find a team who is talking with him

  54. Stevebobucsfan Says:

As I said earlier, it had to be more than just Jameis interceptions. I personally think that had the Bucs made the playoffs last year 30 interceptions and all it may have been a little different. The Bucs had to make this happen. The fans and most of the football world had went sour on the Bucs and Jameis didn’t help himself when he had a chance and with his inconsistent play it’s just amazing how many fans just wanted Jameis gone I personally think this mean more tv time and more money in the Glazers pocket

  55. ATrain Says:

    Bye Bye NDog

Can’t wait to buy your tickets

  56. BUC CHEEKS Says:

    The st paddy’s day miracle🍀

  57. RagingBrisket Says:

Just thinking about Gerald McCoy kissing Brady’s aas after the Bucs and Brady demolish Carolina on a Monday night!

  58. Jean Lafitte Says:

WTG Coach Arians and Jason Licht.

    We will be relevant again.

  59. Go Bucs 72 Says:

TheBucsAhole, thanks for all your brilliant prognostications today. Idiot.

  60. DaBux Says:

Carolina will trade or cut McCoy. He was a horrendous signing. Now Suh should want to stay and then add Chaisson in the draft PLUS some good FA signings and just wow.

  61. Boltsfan17 Says:

I love it. Immediate true credibility. Kudos to the Glazers for recognizing the chance to become relevant again and admitting the mistake that was Winston.

  62. TexBuc Says:

as a Winston fan I hope him well as he moves on but I have to support my team and new QB.

    Pilability is coming to TB!

Do not want to hear any Jameis hate especially when he is down right now.

    *************************
AHAHHAHAH!!!!! LOL! SOME people here coddled him because he was the Bucs QB looking his shoulder like all losers do. Now that he’s gone, he gets NO LOVE from Bucs fans. Jameis isn’t down, FOOL! He stole $21M from the Bucs with his BS and they were stupid enough to believe it. From the movie Airplane!, now the foot’s on the other hand! Hit the road #3!

  64. Ivan The Insider Says:

    JAMEIS-HOMER OFFICIAL “CALL-OUT”…

    Where is…

Ndog, DB55, Ocala, TexBuc, Rod Munch, Cgimaster, Oneilbucs, Tmax, and all you other fools?

    NOW…

Tell us again how your boy Jameis is this future HOFer and such an amazing QB?

If so, then why has THE ENTIRE NFL passed on him? Why hasn’t he been snapped up by other teams yet? Why is headed for a backup role?

PLEASE enlighten us all! You told everyone on this site for ages that we were all dumb and you were such “QB Analysis Geniuses”…

    WHERE ARE YOU NOW??????

  65. stpetebucsfan Says:

Assuming this is true….The NFL Net is still using “expected” but the anchors and Rappaport are acting as if it’s done it’s time to come together again as Buc fans.

Total props to NDOG for starting that process on an earlier thread.

@TBBucs3 I hear ya bro and indeed it is time to stop kicking JW.

There is a bright side for all the guys who are clearly disappointed by seeing one of their favorite players leave. He was replaced by the GOAT…there is no shame in that. Getting replaced by the others might have been insulting but nobody is going to be ashamed to get replaced by the GOAT.

And if you’re an FSU guy at least looks like you found a good coach.

  66. JimmyJack Says:

Jason Licht just signed the greatest NFL player to ever play the game of football.

Just when y’all thought he couldn’t do anything dumber he goes out and does something like this……..And totally redeemed himself!!!!!!!

Bucs fans are going to cause Extinction to crows!!!!!!

Jason Licht just shark the entire league and absolutely stuck one right in Bellichecks crawl.

With one stroke of the pen Jason goes from bottom tier GM to instant elite status!!!!!

Time to bring back the “In Licht I trust” saying.

    GO BUCS!!!!!!

  67. #1 Pick QB 2 Cent Brain Says:

    Bucs just became relevant again

  68. nano107 Says:

    Big mistake

  69. Ivan The Insider Says:

TexBuc – on behalf of all the real Bucs fans here… we’d prefer you and Ndog left Bucs Nation and followed Jameis to his new team and backup role, wherever that may end up being. Thanks for your cooperation.

  70. JimmyJack Says:

    BUC CHEEKS!!!!!

    Great saying!!!!

Joe please steal it. This truely feels like a miracle!!!

  71. DBS Says:

    Reply
We were sold we were a QB away when we drafted Winston . So it can’t get any worse!!

  72. Rod Munch Says:

I still see the word expected everywhere, I don’t see anyone confirming the info.

This would be the biggest F U yet to the fanbase if it falls apart.

Lets really hope that doesn’t happen.

  73. DBS Says:

By the way. What was your name last week?

  74. K2 Says:

Fox news just reported Brady signed with the Bucs. Is that a guess?

  75. TexBuc Says:

    Ivan

No need to kick Winston as he walks out the door have some class

  76. Alstott up the gut Says:

I think more is to come with him here now. Maybe Melvin Gordon or Trent Williams. They will do more.

  77. Rod Munch Says:

Did the Titans cut Humphries yet?

  78. BUC CHEEKS Says:

Who wants to follow the GOAT to the bay?! Sign up now!!!! This is awesome

  79. stpetebucsfan Says:

I do have just ONE I told you so.

Tampa does not suck as a place to live and play. Los freaking Angeles made a big play for Brady but he wants to live on the East Coast.

Giselle and the kids can zip back and forth in a few hours…no worse than the commute from Tampa to Orlando and a lot more comfortable in a private jet.

Tampa and NYC are totally different cities…I love to visit one but live in the other.

More than a half billion…penthouse on Harbor Island…or private estate on Davis Island…the kind that Beyonce stayed in for a few weeks while rehearsing for one of her tours.

  80. Ivan The Insider Says:

TexBuc, I’m not kicking Winston, I’m kicking YOU. Hahaha. 🙂

And Winston sucks. Many of us have been saying it for ages.

You know what else sucks? Him grabbing the crotch of an Uber driving (after he fended off a serious sexual assault accusation). Who does that?

Then his “Check your sheet I’m ballin” crap when he had thrown 30+ INTs.

It’s a Happy Day In Tampa Bay that Winston is GONE.

  81. mark2001 Says:

Denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance

    The stages of grief…

  82. Justanotheridiot Says:

Really hope so….Superbowl run with GOAT ……priceless

  83. mark2001 Says:

Jameis will be signed with a team…and may even end up starting somewhere else this year. But he is no Tom Brady.

  84. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    Elita Vita Says
“Ok when it’s official Tom Brady should model the new uniforms! Unveil those new uniforms while the fans are hot Bucs Brass! What do you say?”

    Got my vote!

  85. Rod Munch Says:

Still waiting on anyone to confirm this story, and not say “expected” or “barring unforeseen”, etc…

Hope it happens, but no one that I see has confirmed anything. They’re all just writing the same story based off the same tweet.

  86. Buc4evr Says:

Jameis to the Bucs ….. as a back up.

  87. JimmyJack Says:

Dang Rod you are so conditioned to failure you literally expect it.

Tommorow you will wake up happy…….and from there I recommend you work on rebuilding your standards of expectations.

I recommend it to many Bucs fans……I have been in that stadium many times and have physically felt the energy get sucked away when something goes wrong………Energy is real and it truely does effect the players on the field.

Let’s all work our best on becoming stronger fans now. It truely will physically make the team stronger as well on their home games!!

  88. Rod Munch Says:

JimmyJack – Yes, I have been a lifelong Bucs fan so I expect the worse.

But yes, tomorrow, if he signs, I’ll be really excited.

Also I hope the market for Winston is so bad he’s forced to sign with the Bucs as a backup.

  89. Colonel Angus Says:

Bucs vs Chiefs in the NFL kickoff game this year?

  90. Tye Says:

    Imagine Ray Jay Stadium…
Old fans return after their 5 (likely 12-15 ; since signing Leftwich as Qb) year hiatus…
New fans young and old beside the faithful that have survived since the 70s…
It might be an exciting home field experience since forever!

  91. wantstastayabuc Says:

    Munch,
I am definitely not a JW supporter, but I have to imagine that it would be better for him to get a fresh start elsewhere.

  92. Tampabuscsbro Says:

COME ON JAMEIS HOMERS WHERE ARE YOU

COME ON TELL US WHY NO ONE WANTS HIM

  93. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    This is huge.

We want a culture change? Tom Brady is the perfect QB to bring it. He always expects to win. He holds his players accountable.

People say last year was a down year for him? The Pats still went 12-4!

The more I think about this, the more I like it. And he wants to play more than two additional years.

  94. ArgYeMaties Says:

Why do I sense dread with Brady coming to the Bucs?

  95. firethecannons Says:

Finally we say bye bye to “America’s Quarterback probowler, Mr Entertainment” had enough of that! Jameis fun as heck to watch until he buries us alive with int’s, hope he gets a new team and balls out there but I am a Bucs fan and we need to move on!

  96. Totally Exonerated Again Says:

How bout a Jameis poll now? 😂

  97. Larry Says:

How much does Godwin get paid to give up #12?

  98. JimmyJack Says:

Winston as a backup…….Under Brady?? Rod you just gave me one of the greatest senseations I have ever felt in my life reading that.

I just have to dismiss that thought entirely. Something like that is like winning the lottery. Sadly life is not made for us to ever feel that good.

If stuff like that we’re actually possible then what would be the point of heaven?

  99. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Tampabuscsbro, you don’t know that no one wants him. There are rumors that multiple teams do, but they weren’t sure he was leaving Tampa, because they intended to re-sign him if they didn’t get Brady.

  100. Tye Says:

    @Larry
After they went so hard after Brady, Godwin gives up the number or gets traded to the worst team… LoL.. jk

  101. JimmyJack Says:

Oh and guys forget about our kicking problems. Brady will not tolerate that crap.

And I have seen him take a dropkick himself for 3……He will freaking do it himself if our Kickers can’t.

  102. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

Man, I have always believed in Ndog, Munch and Da Postman. There have to be 31 other teams lining up to sign America’s Turnover Machine, Jay Miss. We just haven’t heard it yet. I’m checkin’ my sheet though.

  103. SteveK Says:

    Jimmyjack,

It was Doug Flutie that did that as a patriot. Not Brady.

  104. SteveK Says:

    Joe,

Can you, Ira and the crew plan a Vegas excursion featuring Chucky vs Bucs Brady/Tuck Rule?

I’d love to hang with You dudes and witness a historic fame.

  105. Rod Munch Says:

JimmyJack – Arians doesn’t dislike Winston, nothing I’ve ever read said he does. But when you can get Brady – you get Brady. I’m as big of a Winston backer has there’s been out there, but the sales pitch to Winston is easy. You got benched for the best player ever.

Then you point to Dan Fouts. The guy did nothing in the NFL until he was 28. Heck Vinny wasn’t any good until he was 33. Winston has the body, arm and build to play until he’s 40 – so taking 2 years off to sit behind the best ever isn’t the worst thing in the world.

That’s the sales pitch I’d give him.

But yeah, I don’t see it happening either.

In any case I’m getting more excited about Brady as the minutes go by and I don’t see any retractions yet. So that’s a good sign!

  106. Pelsbuc61 Says:

Greatest Bucs moments, 1. Winning SB. 2. Ronde pick 6 in NFC championship games to send Bucs to SB. 3. Brady signing with Bucs.

  107. BucEmUp Says:

Well I guess it is what it is.On the brightside at least now I know Brady will be calling plays and not leftwich

  108. Old School Athlete Says:

Every dog in Boston is getting a new name tonight.

  109. JimmyJack Says:

SteveK thanks for the correction. Don’t know why I remember Brady kicking one. Don’t remember Flutie. Hated that guy and his little cult following of fans. These psycos will argue that he was a great NFL QB.

Are you sure Brady didn’t kick one too?

  110. JimmyJack Says:

Should I change my screen name to TimmyTom?

  111. MadMax Says:

Offer JW a $2mill one year contract as backup….just as a consolation for him and his BALLSACK BUDDIES like ndog!!! He could hold the clipboard and still maybe get a ring….he!! he’d probably do it for free HAHAHA! Also it will allow a little weaning time for his Nutthuggers 🙂

  112. Wesley Says:

This is tough on one hand he’s old and a bit of a goober but on the other hand he was a great q.b.. Trust B.A. I suppose.

  113. TOM Says:

No Jameis. period. I think the Bucs could get Foles at a very cheap price to back up TB. Would be better than Gabbert or RG.

  114. Rod Munch Says:

Oh no, ESPN has Brady photoshopped in the God awful current uniforms…

PLEASE Bucs, if this is true, PLEASE rush out the new uniform announcement tonight and let everyone update their artwork!

    PLEASE!!!

  115. unbelievable Says:

This is absolutely nuts. Never thought it would happen.

I will gladly eat my crow now.

Welcome to Tampa Mr. Brady! Really hope you’ve got something left in the tank… and that you weren’t just a product of BB…

  116. MadMax Says:

God it sucked being at work today with all of this going on….just got home a few mins ago.

Two words…..TOLD YA!!!! I AM the Buc Prognosticator.

Now watch….the entire NFL is gonna go BUC WILD!!
tix and merch sales will be through the roof
    Buc Coverage everywhere….primetime game slots!!!!
Refs will hopefully be a little more friendly to us….

And heres my other prediction….SUPERBOWL! We will be in it at OUR stadium! Hopefully we’ll win it too.

  117. JimmyJack Says:

Does anybody know what color Tom’s eyes are?

And OMG I just can’t wait for the new Star to come out! I bet Tom makes another cover. I can’t wait to read and learn everything their is to learn about Tom.

And I think we should start a fan club for fans who have developed a mancrush on Tom. And hes not Tom to us he Tooooo-oooo-ooooom.

  118. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    • Bucs are about to become one of the most hated teams in the NFL

    • Tons of season tickets are about to be bought

    • Get ready for home field advantage in the Superbowl

  119. boldnewera Says:

    UN-FLIPPIN-BELIEVABLE!!

Did you all hear about the dinner held this past Sunday night at Bern’s?? Scott Hansen said on NFL Network that Derek Jeter, BILL GATES (yes that BILL Gates) and him had dinner Sunday night together at Bern’s! How did that not get out!?!

Where were all the local sources on that dinner taking place, not paying off the waiter for that info.

Should have been discovered well before now.

Would have told us all we needed to know, right THERE.

  120. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

MadMax, you missed me eating crow 😉

  121. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

Looks like the Bucs are socially distancing themselves from Jay Miss. Ha! I know there are 31 suitors though, right Ndog?

  122. Scott Says:

Brady with arians and are offensive weapons The defense that is young and up and coming. Just renewed my season tickets Friday. So excited

  123. MadMax Says:

its all good Bonzai….quite a few are lol. I literally got chills when i read the “updated sources” piece. I knew it and knew it, and then it is finally happening.

Now we need that massive RT Wirfs or Ezra if we miss on Wirfs.
Ball catching bowling ball of muscle RB Clyde Edwards.
And WR (TE prospect) Chase Claypool.

Still need a Safety though….Dugger or Davis if we can manage to land one with some trades back into the 3rd.

  124. stpetebucsfan Says:

Again for those that missed it on the other thread…the most ardent JW supporter here NDOG manned up totally and took the high road. Lets follow him.

Agree with Tex Buc. This debate has raged for far too long, gotten too emotional and sometimes too personal. It’s over. Just like the Stanley Cup it’s time to line up line up and shake hands…well can’t do that anymore but you get my drift.

BTW Everybody stay safe and healthy. My wife and I hit the jackpot. We were in Publix when the Charmin truck arrived and we actually scored some TP.

Did you guys see the video of kids operating a TP stand instead of lemonade.
Smart kids selling it for two bucks a roll.

  125. TBUC North Carolina Says:

Reminds me how the Broncos got rid of Tebow by signing Manning..

  126. stpetebucsfan Says:

    Bonzai

As a man once told me…if you hang around long enough…do and say enough…you will eventually eat crow. He laughed and said he had gotten quite a taste for it. LMAO

    I’ve eaten a bunch that’s for sure.

  127. Dapostman Says:

    Johnny Unitas
    Joe Namath
    Joe Montana
    Brett Favre
    Peyton Manning
    Now Tom Brady

Only Peyton won a SB and it wasn’t because of Peyton.

Odds are against Brady winning one with Tampa.

  128. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

stpetebucsfan, I wonder if that means the Publix near me in Bradenton got a delivery?

  129. Iamabuc Says:

I don’t know why all the celebration..it ain’t official yet..so used to be disappointed don’t want to jump up and down just yet..

  130. D1 Says:

    Boldnewera,

. Jeter has a home in Tampa. Gates owns a heck of lot of downtown property and lives on the east coast.

  131. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

I have a feeling we’re going to be the first team with homefield advantage in the SB.

We can trade up, get a RT. Re-sign Suh. Draft a RB.

  132. Snook Says:

There’s no place left for Jameis. He’ll be a backup like Tannehill was.

  133. Jeffbuc Says:

Dion Lewis will be signing with us in the next couple days to revive his Brady checkdown duties. So Rojo as main running back Lewis change of pace recievi g back. And Brady with Evans Godwin Brate and Howard to play catch with. You jameis lovers are fixing to see what can happen with a real qb. Brady will probably throw less interceptions for the season than jameis does in two second halves on dale Mabry highway.

  134. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Dapostman I would beg to differ about Peyton. He got them there two years in a row.

  135. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

NFLN is reporting that Brady was in Tampa Sunday night.

  136. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

We might actually get a press conference.

  137. WalkThePlank Says:

I just read on the Tampa Bay Times news feed that the Bucs signed Tom Brady.

  138. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Wonder if I can hitch a ride with him to New York. I’ve got family there too!

  139. The Man Says:

The wife is gonna love her new #12 Bucs jersey…. as she is from Boston and a Pats fan….

  140. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

WalkThePlank, they can’t officially sign him until 4pm tomorrow.

  141. D1 Says:

    Ivan,

You won the argument. Show some class!

NDOG has shown himself to be , in spite of what you thought, a hard core Buc fan. And a class act.

  142. WalkThePlank Says:

Buccaneer Bonzai, The Tampa Bay Times is posting it as if it’s happened, like 5 minutes ago. I tell you what, they are very misleading. I’m so sorry for the mistake.

  143. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

They can only agree in principle before then. But you can bet Brady will have a contract to make it official by 4:01 pm

  144. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

WalkThePlank also, Brady may actually be in Tampa right now.

  145. Alstott up the gut Says:

    Get Melvin Gordon now

  146. Zwak Says:

Coming to learn to be a GM, hope I’m wrong.

  147. Rod Munch Says:

I like Dion Lewis with Rojo and making sure we shore up the WR depth. After Godwin and Evans, there is nothing on this roster currently.

I keep hearing Antonio Brown, but I can’t see that nut job being allowed back into the NFL anytime soon.

  148. Anonymous Says:

    Tommy freaking Brady!!!!!!

  149. WalkThePlank Says:

Buccaneer Bonzai, Thanks for the enlightenment, I feel like an idiot now. I was so excited to read it & forgot about Wednesday being the formal day of the deal. Oh my gosh. I’ve lost what little bit of credibility I thought I had. 🤣 I better make sure I know for sure from now on before I say anything.

  150. jjbucfan Says:

Well, I am man enough to admit I was wrong- I thought he was gonna screw us in the end. Sad to see JW go and I think long term we are screwed for the next 10 years, but if he gets us a SB (I can’t believe people think we were a QB away last year) it will be worth it, I guess. Anyway, the BUCCANEERS JUST SIGNRD THE GREATEST QB IN THE HISTORY OF THR GAME!!! Wow !!

  151. Alstott up the gut Says:

Dion Lewis works as that 3rd down back… worried about RoJo holding up as lead back.

Assuming we need one of those top 4 Tackles in the draft now.

    All in Tampa Bay!

  152. cmurda Says:

It’s not just that we have the GOAT for at least a year. It’s the fact that the Bucs were able to land him even if we don’t go further with him. That’s a huge signing. Now, I’ll wait for the official celebration when Brady is definitely a Buc. It feels not so long ago that Favre was all but signed in Tampa too and that didn’t happen.

  153. Tbbucs3 Says:

Nothing like shattering a rising yet fragile culture by signing Antonio Brown.

This isn’t gonna happen but Bucs need a REAL RB ASAP.

  154. JimBobBucsFan Says:

We won’t hear the end of “expected” or “barring unforeseen” until after 4:00 p,m, on Wednesday.

    No risk it, no biscuit.

  155. cmurda Says:

@jjbucfan. So, you feel like Jameis was the answer for the next 10 years. Really? I’m not so sure even ndog would be brave enough to make that proclamation. Jameis might make it another 10 years in the NFL but it won’t be as a starter.

  156. TB+TB=SB Says:

    👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

  157. Tbbucs3 Says:

Here’s another reason why I think Brady choose Tampa……

In terms of Quarterbacks, Historically when you think of a team like the Chargers, you think of Philip Rivers.

When you think the Bucs you think of ???? …..It’s wide open and he has a chance to make a legitimate mark on 2 NFL Franchises.

    Here are some more examples
    Colts= Peyton Manning
    Steelers= Big Ben
    Giants= Eli

Brady has a chance to do something special in Tampa. Starts with a defense though, and it’s a shame that Jameis never got to enjoy a good defense for a complete season in Tampa and that’s a fact, whether you like him or not.

  158. EA Says:

At least 4-5 primetime worthy home games, chiefs, Packers, saints, vikings, rams.

  159. Doctor Stroud Says:

The team was only able to pull this off because of the ties that GM Licht had with Brady and Team Glazer’s desperate need to spend Glazer loot to energize the fan base. But this goes beyond money. Tom Brady should use this as leverage to extract every possible concession for the good of the team. For example, I hope he has a clause in his contract that prevents the team from playing any “home” games in London.

  160. WalkThePlank Says:

I just checked in with NFL Network- Brady agrees ” In Principle” to sign with the Buccaneers. Yep, they sure know how to drag it out to the last minute.

  161. BUC IT Says:

Ok, now we got to re-sign Suh. We need to get more protection for Brady. Then we draft a QB and RB with our 1st two picks. Dobbins would be a really nice pairing with Rojo. Its gonna be nice getting those fake roughing the passer calls too! We are about to make a deep run!

  162. Rod Munch Says:

Need to win now – first round pick should be a RT, maybe a 3rd WR depending on how the board falls.

Still don’t need another RB, Rojo was good at the end of the year. They need a 3rd down back, but you don’t draft one that highly.

  163. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Rod Munch, Brian Hill can be had for a 5th rounder.

We do need another RB though…we’re losing a couple unless they are re-signed.

  164. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

And I mean Hill to compete with Rojo (and I do believe Rojo will be good too).

  165. SOEbuc Says:

JPP resigned It’s no doubt a RT in the first round now. Try to get everyone on the oline to take a little pay cut.

  166. crazyBucs_CL Says:

it looks like is going through…. still long wait till tomorrow…

    https://www.sportsline.com/nfl/news/with-tom-brady-could-bucs-become-first-team-to-play-super-bowl-in-own-stadium/

  167. crazyBucs_CL Says:

soon we are not going to be NOBODY…. with Tom here, other players will get the respect they deserve ….. and the team as well :

“On the William Hill NFL futures odds, Tampa Bay jumped from +1200 to win the NFC title following this news to +800, behind San Francisco, New Orleans and Dallas). “

  168. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    BUC IT

There have been several tackles released, but Conklin was the best and he got signed elsewere. We may be better off drafting a RT in one of the first two rounds. I’m for:

    • RT with our first pick, unless…

    • …Tua falls to us. It’s possible. Since he needs to sit a year, teams in need may pass on him. Colts might even be gunshy, seeing as their last good QB was injury prone.

    • If RT in the 1st, then we can trade back up into the bottom of the first and take Jacob Eason. We’d have to get ahead of the Pats though, unless they sign a QB before then.

    • Get RBs in free agency or trade. Several have been released, and we have lost 1-2 to free agency (though we could re-sign them)

  169. JimmyJack Says:

NFL Network y’all!!! They are doing a bio on Tom! Our new QB. I am guahing. Instant mancrush on Tom Brady.

I even love saying his name. Tooooo-oooo-ooooom!

  170. crazyBucs_CL Says:

hmmm may they agreed on this as well ????!!!! or just rumors….

“With Tom Brady heading to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, rumors continue to swirl that Antonio Brown could join the quarterback in his move to Florida. ESPN’s Dan Graziano and Jeremy Fowler reported at the NFL Combine that Brady had stayed in contact with Brown with the potential for the former Pro Bowl receiver to join him wherever he signed.

“Two people close to Antonio Brown — yes, that Antonio Brown — told us Brady keeps in consistent contact with Brown and has told Brown he wants to play with him wherever Brady goes next,” Graziano and Fowler detailed.

Weeks later Brady is now headed to the Buccaneers, but the question is whether Brown will join him. WEEI’s Dale Arnold reported that Brown could “eventually” land in Tampa Bay. “

  171. JimmyJack Says:

Bonzai if Tua falls how bout a trade? Somebody will be wanting our pick if he drops that far.

And we are going for the prize baby. If we can get a trade partner we might just find the missing pieces to the puzzle.

  172. MadMax Says:

No offense @stpete, but fk that guy….all his disrespect these past months to us, na, he deserves it. If he’s on board, i’ll believe it when i see it once the games start. fk him!

  173. MadMax Says:

@Jimmy, its ok to come out of the closet, you like dudes, we get it lol.

  174. JimmyJack Says:

And RT sounds good. Or you can get one in free agency. Then you could take a Defense if somebody special is there. Or maybe you get the best RB in the draft slide yo you. Or one of them Tackles is your highest player no law against still taking him.

It’s also a good plan in case we miss out on all the Top RT.

I don’t like to go into a draft with a big glaring hole everybody knows you need.

  175. crazyBucs_CL Says:

i guess until is done, is not done yet…..
    CBS Sport:
“According to Jim Trotter of NFL Media, the reason Brady wasn’t interested in signing with the Chargers is due to “family considerations.” Basically, it seems like Brady’s family wouldn’t be making the move with him, and since they’re based on the East Coast, moving all the way out to Los Angeles would make it difficult for Brady to see his family once the NFL season started.

Unless there’s a “change of heart” from Brady, the Chargers don’t feel like they’ll be landing the veteran quarterback. ”

    Let wait and hope….

  176. JimmyJack Says:

Mad Max…….I’ve been reading so much about Tom. Stats…Bio…likes/dislikes. Everything I can. Learning so much and loving all of it.

Did you know calls all of his friends “babe” reguardless of gender? I almost couldn’t believe as I do the same thing. I wonder if it started for him with Babe Ruth on the mind like it did for me???? Oh if I was Joe is would have soooo many questions!!!

For me it was an instant attraction. Tooooo-oooo-ooooom.

  177. MadMax Says:

Alright, we know the big 4 in the draft at OT, Wills, Wirfs (who i want), Becton, and Thomas….But theres another…Ezra Cleveland, and we could get him in the 2nd. We need a safety, so Delpit will still be there in a trade down scenario with our #14.

Trade down, land Delpit and another 2nd. Ezra with our first 2nd, RB Clyde/Dobbins with our other 2nd. Chase Claypool with our 3rd, then trade back into the bottom 3rd for OT Ben Bartch!

  178. MadMax Says:

    LOL Jimmy

  179. JimmyJack Says:

Is this Delpit guy a little soft though? I watched him in that Championship game and man did he look bad. Didn’t have a nose for the ball and doesn’t look like he likes contact.

Wasn’t even trying to watch Simmons and it didn’t matter. That guy was on the ball every play. You couldn’t not notice the guy.

Understand Simmons is a higher prospect but dang it was a dropoff.

Not sure if Delpit is our guy

  180. Jeffbuc Says:

Damn mad max we have one of the highest paid offensive lines in the game how many high picks you want to use on tackle when we only need one. Donovan smith could choose his next team if we released him. 10 bad plays a season isn’t that bad at all. A tackle is no matter how great going to find someone here or there that is there kryptonight. Can Jordan happens to be Donavan’s. No tackle is going to be able to man handle every player they face. You can’t ha e the highest paid offensive line and draft a 1st and 3rd round offensive lineman.

  181. 40 TDs Says:

State Farm hired Winston….fired Johnny Maziel!!!!!!!

    Check the sheet

  182. Aceofaerospace Says:

I went to bed twice thinking Bill Parcells was our coach, once thinking Chip Kelly was our coach and once thinking Brett Favre was our quarterback. I’m going to hold off a day or two before I celebrate.

  183. Lakelandsteve Says:

Remember when we drafted Bo Jackson and he set all those records as a buc? Remember when we signed Bill Parcells and we won a couple Super Bowls with him? There is a reason there is nothing but crickets coming out of One Buc right now. Those were done deals too and everyone celebrated only to have the rug pulled out from under us in the 11’th hour. We have been down this road before. I won’t believe it until the man suits up for the first time in a Tampa Bay uniform

  184. MadMax Says:

@Jeff, sorry man but we NEED depth at O line, and I MEAN PRONTO!!….and i didnt say a first AND a third on O line.

Guess i have to break it down for you…

Wirfs or Becton @14 for RT (or trade up if its worth it)…then done unless we’re playing with late rounders.

If we miss on those or the other 2 ( Wills or Thomas), then Ezra in the 2nd….and a late 3rd on Bartch. Is Dotson coming back? I dont think he will unless its cheap and he’s a back up…I’d still love to have him back….he deserves a SB run! IF he comes back, then skip the 3rd on Bartch.

  185. adam from ny Says:

  186. adam from ny Says:

heck it is st. patty’s day….

    must have a drink…

mixing up a quarantini in the crib right now

  187. ItzOK Says:

Itz amazing how for the last couple of weeks the national media has trashed the bucs and the organization as not even a viable option for Brady to sign with. The Chargers are better, the Colts are Better go to Miami blah blah. The moment they felt confident reporting he is coming to Tampa the whole narrative has taken a 180. Now every report is how talented the Bucs are, BA is great, Evans and Godwin are the best, Brate and Howard , hell even heard them mention Rojo had a breakout season. For years I’d be lucky to see 2 min a week about the Bucs on ESPN or NFL Network and today its been 4 straight hours of nothing but Bucs talk. Just amazing.

Also If Winston has no starting job why not resign Winston as the backup. My biggest fear is father time is going to come knocking and Brady will go full Noodle arm in week 10 and it all falls apart. We need a viable backup and Jameis would be the best one in the league. Lete him learn from Brady until he is done and then give him another shot.

  188. MadMax Says:

@adam….angry mules for me (don julio tekillya and domaine de canton with ginger beer) its a good thing im off work tomorrow lol

  189. DerrickBrooksGOATLB Says:

Say what you will about Jameis, but he is one of the only QB’s in the league that can simultaneously keep both teams in the game.

This move appeals to everyone aside from the obvious football upgrade.

For Brady, he will now be employed in an income tax free state, his family are known Disney fans so it’s a quick jaunt to Orlando and he will be an instant hero to the fan base. Even if he goes 8-8 two consecutive years, most fans won’t blame him. He’s also now got one of the best WR corps possibly of his career, eclipsed only by the 07′ Pats with Moss/Welker/Stallworth.

For BA, he’s much better working with veteran QB’s and it doesn’t get more vet than Brady. At his age, it’s win now and he needs a proven winner at the helm of his offense. Again, doesn’t get much more proven than TB.

For the Glazers, they have no problem star-chasing (Favre, Parcells 2x, Gruden, etc.) and have no problem backing up Brinks trucks to get them. This gives their team instant national media recognition and probably guarantees prime-time TV slots at least 4-5x next season. Add in the season ticket and merch sales boost and it’s an easy ‘spend money to make money’ move on the business side. Again, even if Brady goes 8-8 two years here, he should more than make up his $30M salary in ad revenue, jersey sales and ticket sales.

  190. Jeffbuc Says:

So mad max your still saying either a 1st and 3rd or a 2nd and 3rd on offensive line. We only have to replace one. Why do we need to draft a guard. We have two guys that will now get name recognition you fans love because Brady is here they will make the pro bowl. Our line is fine it was the qb who made the line look. As he can’t read a defense holds the ball to long takes sacks and makes throws no nfl QB should do. There is a reason your not hearing his name at all on nfl network. Cam newton who hasn’t played in a year was talked more about Winston. The only stories about him all day were if Brady goes to the bucs where does jameis end up. And everyone there said as a backup. He would be best to stay put and learn from Brady. You all think you have to root for him because we drafted him. You do t he is as bad as we all know he is but don’t want to admit because were bucs fans. If he was as good as ndog and the lovers make him seem he would have been all over nfl network today and yesterday where is he signing. I have only heard his name today on nfl network if it was what if he got replaced scenario. And each time they said he is a backup. When cam is available they said it moved him down a tier. No one besides a couple of FSU fans want him. He is garbage he has set turnover records and yet FSU boys still say he needs another year at 25 million to make sure the first 5 years are who he is. So so far we are 100% sure he is an erratic turnover prone qb who is uncoachable. Because after 5 years his very first turnover was the exact same as his last turnover. An out route with a defender sitting there.

If he was as great as ndog and others would lead you to believe wouldn’t today I would ha w seen stories and whispers of where he is going. Nope none of that. Saw all day where is Brady and rivers and cam and Bridgewater going. I even heard taysom hill and Andy Dalton’s name more than I heard jameis. Sounds like he is more north Florida’s qb. Mister turnover excitement. No coach will ever trusts quarterback to me. But leave with jameis because we are fixing to get 1 million new fans while jameis new 20,000 fans have hope the next 4 years. How could any fan be mad about signing a guy who has more Super Bowls than anyone else. Who is repacking a guy who has more 5 plus interception games than anyone outside of d3 should ever be allowed to have. Chance after chance after chance. And ( years later he gives us 2 records for pick sixes and picks thrown. But hey let’s gove him more
Money and time and HOPE it changes

  191. MadMax Says:

Ok, serious….JW as our backup, if he agrees and we can afford it (but we cant)….7 mill, one year just like Bridgewater last year. But he’ll never do that, so, its out of the equation. I actually think it would be a good move for him. He stays with the team who drafted him, matures more, learns more, “I have to get better”…well, heres a great opportunity to do so while rehabbing your knee and thumb and other things.

Could we afford 7 mill to him as a backup? I dont think we can. Its win now the next 2 years and we just dont have the room, cap wise or roster wise.

Just thinking outside the box, ignore me….Bill will probably take a flyer on him for the 20 mill he lowball offered TB12.

  192. Jeffbuc Says:

We sign the goat and people are mad. It’s a business the glazers would have given him 100 million 2 years all guaranteed. Because he instantly gives them 500,000 million in advertising. 5 prime time games 10 4:00pm games and a whole offseason and season of everyone talking about the Bucs. If jameis resigned it would be the same they are our cute playoff pic team if jameis cuts down on turnovers. 28 picks later even ndog is saying In lieu of me cutting g my wrists I will just alologize I thought he was great smart all that and I finally realized that just cause espn did a story on you making plays as an 8th grader and you win a national championship it doesn’t make you great or smart it makes you lucky. And now that your in the nfl where only talent matters your luck has ran out. Any person who thinks I’m wrong before responding google his FSU highlights and picture him in a bucs uniform and tell me if he isnt the exact same qb.

  193. MadMax Says:

@Jeff, long read you have and im doing other stuff too….but real quick

“Wirfs or Becton @14 for RT (or trade up if its worth it)…then done unless we’re playing with late rounders.

So where have i said 1st and 3rd again…come on dude, i aint got the time for this ish!

  194. MadMax Says:

@Jeff, im trying to diagnose where i went wrong in my communication from my previous post, and think you missed a few key words…..

“Trade down, land Delpit and ANOTHER 2nd. Ezra with our first 2nd, RB Clyde/Dobbins with our other 2nd”

    …..read it again, slowly…..youre welcome 🙂

  195. Buczilla Says:

Looks like I was wrong (happily so) about us not getting Brady. Hopefully we won’t start the season half a$$ed at quarterback like we usually do. Gotta grab a decent backup in free agency/trade and Brady’s heir apparant in the draft.
