“When Is The Last Time You Got High?”

February 25th, 2020

What did he ask?

Leave it to Bucs coach Bucco Bruce Arians to bring spice to the NFL combine.

Arians today spoke for the first time since his 2019 postmortem —  for the NFL media gathered in the Indiana Convention Center in downtown Indianapolis, and then later with the Tampa Bay area pen and mic club.

During his initial address, Arians said he doesn’t ask many questions when interviewing prospects at the combine. But when he does, he likes to hit the prospects with questions right between the eyes.

“Have some fun,” Arians said with a twinkle in his eye.

So with local reporters, Joe asked Arians to name a question he likes to hit prospects with.

Arians didn’t blink an eye.

“When is the last time you got high?” Arians blurted.

So what kind of response has Arians received with using that question?

“I just like to look in their face when [I ask],” Arians said. “If they — ‘ugh, ugh, ugh…’ then you know.”

Of course, most reporters there busted out laughing at Arians’ remarks but it seemed no one got a bigger kick out of this than Arians himself as he beamed with pride.

I love it man what a great coach this guy just tells it like it is no sugar coating. No wonder his players love him he keeps it real.

  2. NPRSageBoy. Says:

With a reckless turnover machine like JayMiss as his starting QB, I’m surprised BA isn’t consistently high.

Uncontrollable turnovers by JayMiss would probably send the Pope into rehab.

    Peace, out

  3. El Buco Realisto Says:

Bruce Arrogance has not made one wrong move since joining the bucs, just ask him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  4. Nick2 Says:

NPR for real he would need something that put him in an alternate reality. Its like “please let me think that didnt just happen” “take me to a place where QBs protect the football”

  5. chris L Says:

    this man is a legend.

  6. Bucsfan951 Says:

Hey REALISTO!!! Hit these dudes up with another REALISTO volver a publicar!!!

  7. tmaxcon Says:

Unfortunately BA and his BS has never translated to postseason success as a head coach. He’s perfect for low standard bucfan cool aid drinkers. Win a damn post season game until then shut up you’ve accomplished nothing

  8. Sport Says:

El Pessi – your perspective is so bitter. Have some damn fun would ya. Enjoy the journey.

    In BA I Trust!

  9. TOM EDRINGTON Says:

Perfect candidate response to that question:

“I don’t know coach, when was the last time you got high?”

  10. El Buco Realisto Says:

    @sport

Hard to “enjoy” the journey, when you know that its headed the wrong way and with the knowledge that the vehicle will never make it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But keep smiling Sport, in your case, ignorance is truly bliss!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    go bucs!!!!!!!!!!!!

  11. Iamabuc Says:

And so it started….a joke here and there, laughty laughty……but nothing concrete about the relevant fan’s questions…..get comfortable…it’s gonna be a long wait for any kind of news; good or bad… 😂

  12. ModHairKen Says:

I’d tell him, “with your wife at Burning Man.”

  13. ATrain Says:

    BA

    Is not just his name

    It’s an attitude

Joe catch what he said about Jamies on NFLNow

    Interesting

  14. Adrnagy Says:

    Last night

  15. Craig Says:

That is going to become a really sticky question. So many states have legalized it and almost every state has medical pot.

The next CBA had better bring that up or the NFL drug policy is really going to get shafted.

  16. Eye Test!! Says:

Hopefully management is checking the vision of these guys.

Could you imagine not checking that…!

  17. Dewey Selmon Says:

    Just before this interview coach…

  18. Totally Exonerated Again Says:

“Yesterday when I ran a 5K then took a little boy bowling for the big brothers program”

Is the answer you give. Every time.

  19. cmurda Says:

Come on Realist. WTF are you talking about? Who is a better coach than Arians for this team? Before you answer, give me a moment. I need to be prepared to laugh and need to make sure no clients are in the office.

  20. SirClicksAlot Says:

Lol! I see what you did there did Craig…a sticky situation huh?

BA really is a likeable coach. He has fun with the press and makes the players accountable on the field. It’s refreshing after a long line of inept coaches with sticks up their bum. I can’t imagine the suffering the press has gone through having to deal with coach speak from sever dryness of Schiano to the nonstop, 50 year old platitudes from Lovie to the ineffable boredom that Koetter inspires.

  21. cmurda Says:

@Craig. I don’t think B.A. gives a flying eff what the answer to the question is. He’s more interested in whether or not he can trust that individual. The right answer is the truth.

  22. bucsfan951 Says:

“Unfortunately BA and his BS has never translated to postseason success as a head coach.”

And the qb you slobber all over has done what exactly again? yr 5 and dude throws 30 ints and 7 pick 6’s.

come on tmax!!! you gotta bring up your standards just a little more than that.

tmax, the low standard bucs fan he always talks about!

  23. Nick2 Says:

Realist just bashes it doesnt matter who the head coach is he gets bashed. I am guessing if he was around in the Gruden days he was bashing him too. We turned it around and won a Superbowl back then and I trust BA will do the same. It could be with or without Jameis but I like BA’s attitude, Jameis can keep ballin’ but he is not at all irreplaceable by any means. And yes Joe I know Jameis makes us relevant. The leading interception king of the last 5 years keeps fans tuning in to see what game he might throw away this time. I actually like Jameis but if he does come back he better realize last year wasnt ballin’ it was down right careless.

  24. Pewter power Says:

Lol hes saying because he knows it’ll be in the new CBA

  25. Jean Lafitte Says:

No-one’s ever accused HC’s of being sm@rt@ssses. lol

  26. tmaxcon Says:

    bucsfan951 Says:

jameis was setup to fail by incompetent owners who have surrounded him with complete and total garbage outside of godwin, evans and suh

  27. BucEmUp Says:

keep hating realist, you loved you some mike smith though huh?

  28. firethecannons Says:

“Yeah you fat ass I be toasted right now”

“and ugh by the way I didn’t want to play for the lowly Bucs anyway”

  29. ATrain Says:

I writing a book of excuses

    Title “Not Jamies’ Fault”

Does have anyone around him BUT the best 2 receivers

    Great TE

Defense that kicked Butt and got better when Jamies got worse..

    KEEP JAMIES PLEASE

Because I love to hear new excuses

WHAT HAPPEN TO PROVE IT YEAR

OH Yea moved that to next year

  30. BringBucsBack Says:

“Well coach, not since the Glazers, 1/2 of your teams’ fans or since you’ve been drunk!”

Did I understand the question, coach?
