Breaking Down Perriman TD

January 8th, 2020

Funky video technology.

Remember that sick pass Mr. Entertainment, America’s Quarterback, Pro Bowler Jameis Winston, threw to Breshad Perriman at the end of the first half in the season finale against the Dixie Chicks?

Well, the Bucs’ official Twitter feed has a cool breakdown.

There is funky video technology out there and the Bucs used it in the video below. It sure seemed as if Jameis was to throw a long seam route down the right hashmark but he got flushed out of the pocket. It seems awfully close if Jameis could have gotten the ball off or not without getting clobbered as two Dixie Chicks defenders were closing in.

See if you enjoy this cool technology that the Bucs used to highlight this play.

Could have been intercepted. Classic 50-50

  2. runnerdoc Says:

    Haters everywhere

It wasn’t classic 50-50 at all. The defender wasn’t in position and his back was turned.

It was a great play by both Jameis and Perriman.

  3. Proudbucsfan Says:

IMO, That was definitely the NFL catch of the year.

  4. Pok Says:

Jameis does throw a lot of 50:50 balls though, or should we call them 30:30 balls now?

  5. Tackleblockwin Says:

Great play by Perriman. This is also a good example of a pass where Perriman could have become a defender to prevent a int if the DB had position.

Perriman is a UFA-so what price are you willing to pay a #3 WR to keep him?

  8. Mister Negative Nancy Says:

Had the DB not done a useless 360, we wouldn’t be having this discussion right now.

  9. Asdf Says:

Haha that was way more of a great catch than a great throw….it was essentially a Hail Mary

  10. miken Says:

How much money did perriman make for himself the last 6 months of the season? Wow! I thought he should be cut at one point… now he will sign a big contract and we will get that comp pick after all.

  11. Robert Says:

jump ball luck. simple as that.

glad the guy is gaining confidence, but that was nothing more than a hail mary.

    LOL…..

    GO BUCS!!!!!

Tennessee reached on Hump. Perriman appears to have much higher upside. Someone will out bid the Bucs

I don’t see it happening. Someone will offer hiim #1 or #2 money, most likely. The one thing Lichtweight seems able to do is scout WRs, so I expect our young receivers have some potential yet to be tapped. It’s also not likely that we see both Godwin and Evans injured at the same time, either.

  15. stpetebucsfan Says:

Thankfully the “clobber” was a shove that didn’t even put JW on the ground.

  16. Dusthty Rhothdes Says:

jump ball that should not have been thrown but that is jameis and it WILL Never change unless you change him off the bucs. Look at the Oregon game and he throws it up to no one, that has not left the jameis system

  17. 813bucboi Says:

no one will offer perriman #1 or #2 money…..lol….

he was a bust in baltimore and was plagued by drops in cleveland….

its going to take more than 1season as a #3 WR with the bucs for him to get paid…..

he’ll return to us because we give him to best situation…..ME13 and CG12….

    GO BUCS!!!!!

Great story. Great catch great throw. Suck it haters.

  19. firethecannons Says:

resign Breshad Perriman, keep Winston another year but get another quarterback in the second round and that would be : Jacob Eason. Train him and prepare him and get him ready for 2021. Keep Winston and sign him but plan to trade him in 2021.

  20. Eric Says:

Even when our receiving core got knocked out we kept on scoring.

But lets get rid of Jameies. Plug in a rook or Foles its gonna be great.

  21. Lavonte 1of1 Says:

It was great because Perriman made it work. Had it been intercepted this Joe wouldn’t be using it as some sort of badge of honor. A wing and a prayer, that’s all it was.

  22. unbelievable Says:

Who cares if it was a Hail Mary? It was the end of the half with no time left.

That’s exactly the point in the game where you attempt those.

  23. SB Says:

    Again I say……STUPID STUPID throw.
It was more likely to be picked than caught. LOW % Throw.
It is just how Jameis is wired. Is he Irish?
