“It Was An Aerial Circus”

December 21st, 2019

Breakdown.

Last Sunday Mr. Entertainment, America’s Quarterback, Pro Bowler Jameis Winston, had what may have been his best game in the NFL.

And that is saying something because he has had some big games. Problem with Jameis is, he can’t string enough of these together to call off the dogs who snap at his ankles hoping he leaves Tampa Bay.

Jameis threw for 10 explosive plays by the counting of former NFL offensive lineman Brian Baldinger, who breaks down Jameis’ game against the Lions in the video below.

“It was an aerial circus,” Baldinger exclaimed and explained in the video below.

Joe is just crossing his fingers hoping whatever magic Jameis used the last two weeks is not used up —  and that at least he doesn’t meltdown against a team with real hopes of winning the AFC South like the Texans are in position to do.

No weapons. Injuries on an already porous offensive line. Questionable play calling for long stretches. Division at stake for Texans. The Bucs have absolutely no chance to win this game. Must be tons of Kool Aid out there.

  2. Tampabaybucfan Says:

Maybe a coincidence but Jameis had one of his best games without ME13 on the field…..perhaps he looks for Mike too much and misses other receivers who are open.
This wouldn’t be an Evans problem…..but a Jameis problem.
You can’t blame him for targeting our best receiver…..but when others are open….hit them.

  3. TampaTown Says:

Joe are we going to have to put a gag and a blindfold on you? You need to take a Xanax and chill out. It’s Christmas! Be of good cheer! It’s a time of miracles.

  4. Defense Rules Says:

Love Baldy’s analyses. It’s obvious that if our OLine gives Jameis time, he becomes a much better passer in terms of finding & hitting the most open receiver. After seeing Detroit’s defense & offense in action, I actually felt sorry for Matthew Stafford. Well, until I noticed that he’s making $29.5 mil for being on IR. Detroit’s CURRENT offense, in total, is only making $31.9 mil, barely more than their QB. NOW I feel sorry for HC Matt Patricia and OC Darrell Bevell. They’re toast.

  5. Defense Rules Says:

@Licht Headed … “Bucs have absolutely no chance to win this game.” Au contraire. The Texans are very vulnerable defensively, to both the pass and the run. Bucs still have sufficient weapons to put up enough points to win, PROVIDING that our defense shows up strong AND that the Bucs’ offense doesn’t help the Texans by gifting them turnovers today.

This is our Super Bowl like someone wrote a couple days ago … Houston is desperate for a win. Stop with the excuses. I EXPECT our defense to hold them to 21 points, and EXPECT our offense to score 24 points today. Bucs will win 24-21.

  6. adam from ny Says:

there’s no way the other 10 starters on offense for the lions are making 2.4 mil between them…that’s an average salary of 240k per year for the 10 guys

  7. TouchDownTampaBay Says:

@Licht Headed – I assume you never played sport growing up. Momentum and confidence are real things. Not having our top two receivers is going to make it very difficult, but the Bucs have the hottest QB in the NFL who made Perriman look like Jerry Rice last week. They may lose today, but I wouldn’t put a dime on this game because the Bucs are hot right now and the Texans are inconsistent. Getting blown out by the lowly Broncos makes me think they aren’t all that.

  8. TouchDownTampaBay Says:

Adam, not sure what you are referencing but nobody said they were making 2.4M combined.

  9. ‘79Defense Says:

Our offense has often been a circus over the decades. This may be the first time that word has been used by someone in a positive way.

  10. WhatTheBuc Says:

If Scotty can be healthy next season, he’s the fastest guy on the field like Baldy said.

  11. PragueBucsFan Says:

Please win and silence the doubters

  12. TexBuc Says:

We are winners of 5 of the last 6 games with a 4 game winning streak, and hoping to extend that to 5 game winning streak.

  13. TheBucsAnthem Says:

While I love Bucs Fans optimism……

    The facts are:

Bucs have too many injuries on both sides of the ball

Bucs have nothing to play for

Texans have motivation for the Playoffs

    Texans don’t have key injuries

Texans have a true Franchise QB

    —————-

Bucs fans shouldn’t fools themselves into thinking they’re a good football team by beating bad football teams over the past month.

After this blowout today by the Texans…..Bucs fans will come bad down to earth to their normal suckiness ways.

  14. 813bucboi Says:

to say we have no chance is BS….lol…

i want JW to step up….not be superman, but step up and put this team in position to win….dont make the BS head scratching mistakes….

defense will need to play its best game imo….no big plays…no self inflicting penalties….

    GO BUCS!!!!!

    @ 813bucboi

    put down the crack

  16. Cobraboy Says:

The Bucs have nothing to play for? I disagree completely. This is (finally) a prideful bunch. The KNOW the 1st half of the season was a disaster. They KNOW the second half is who they are.

This is the Bucs Super Bowl.

I won’t predict a win because of injuries on offense. But this game will be determined by the Buc D. This will be the best test in weeks.

  17. Defense Rules Says:

Adam from NY … Read it again. The key word is CURRENT. The CURRENT Lions’ offense (without Matthew Stafford who’s on IR) is making $31.9 mil according to Spotrac. (those on IR don’t count against the CURRENT roster).

813bucboi … Don’t listen to Anthem. Bucs have everything to play for and nothing to lose. It’ll probably be a close game, but BOTH sides of the ball will step up. The only way we’ll lose is IF we beat ourselves, and I don’t think that’ll happen.
