Set For Liftoff

November 29th, 2019

Waiting.

We have all been waiting for Bucs running back Ronald Jones to break a long run for a score. House the damn thing.

Could this be the week?

Joe thought Jones was going to house a long, long run last Sunday but Myles Garrett-defender, the Earl of Watford, got flagged. Man, Jones was peeved because he knew he had a long one in front of him.

To read the research of Jenna Laine of ESPN, it seems the Jags are susceptible to long runs.

The Jaguars have given up 35 rushing plays of 12 or more yards and 15 rushing touchdowns this year, both the second-most in the league. They’re also giving up 142.3 rushing yards per game (fourth-most in the league.)

This is a little surprising because the Jags have some players on defense, specifically the front line. Maybe this is one reason why Doug Marrone has a fire burning under his chair?

Joe is just going to write this: If the Bucs go old school and win the ground game and Jones breaks out for a 40-yard plus touchdown run, the Bucs win.

ROJO has the speed to bust one, so hopefully he will on Sunday.

  2. Gettinthebucs Says:

Let’s see if they give him enough carries first.

  3. SB Says:

Please!!!! This is the last week of FF. I want the win!!!!

  4. tmaxcon Says:

Every team has a third stringer with a good game now and then i guess it could be rojo and bucs turn…. most likely any long run will be called back due to the incompetent offensive line holding

  5. SB Says:

Well regular season anyways. I want to make the second seed. Go ROJO

  6. Kobe Faker Says:

    “LOL

Runningbacks and the running game is not of major importance

ROJO is an average good back among 20 other 2nd-4th round backs in the NFL

25 backs all average and good

    BUT IT DOESNT MATTER

the salary of the runningback is going to plummet more and more

Why in the world do you pay Gurly and Elliot 15 mill when you can pay Mark Ingram 5 million?

Gurly and Elliot isnt nearly as good as a Nick chubb. BUT WHO CARES

WHO CARES IF A RUNNINGBACK GAINS 100 YARDS OR 50 YARDS?

IT HAS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING MAJOR TO DO WITH WINS AND LOSSES

Running game is to setup the pass and explosive plays

Running game is IRRELEVANT to what wins games”

  7. TheBucsAnthem Says:

You’re assuming that the Offensive Line will open up holes for ROJO

  8. Ghost of Darrell Henderson Says:

Rojo’s best runs were called back this year costing him 75 yards in one game.

The run last week from the 3 yard line gave him a clear shot at 97 more yards.

Thanks Earl of Wat the Fock!

  9. Kobe Faker Says:

“A runningback could have 100 yards or 50 yards for the game

means absolutely nothing if the team won or not”
