High School JV Mistake By Scotty Miller

November 3rd, 2019

Late this afternoon, Joe found himself yearning to bring back Donteea Dye or the pride of the velvet-lined lounge at the Vero Beach Ramada Inn, Freddie Martino.

Anyone spotted Bernard Reedy in St. Pete?

The goal would be for one of them to replace rookie Scotty Miller, who continued his quest today to bring junior varsity high school football to the NFL.

A Buccaneers touchdown was wiped off the board in the overtime loss to Seattle when Miller ran out of the back of the end zone — without being pushed, shoved or pressured — and came back in bounds a little to squeeze the football thrown to him by America’s Quarterback, Jameis Winston.

You can’t do that. No catch. No touchdown.

Joe doesn’t see any value in Miller through half a season, and the preseason.

Joe covered a lot of high school football for newspapers years ago and, as a result of that experience, Joe agrees with ex-Bucs receiver Michael Clayton; Miller runs high school routes.

The depth on this Bucs team is troubling. Is Justin Watson really not better than Miller? Why is Watson in the doghouse?

I’m so done with this Scotty Miller experiment…..he sucks

  2. tmaxcon Says:

He probably looks amazing in practice playing against vh3bust and bucs high school secondary

  3. Anonymous Says:

The Bucs don’t have an elite group of WT of TE. Evans is good not great. Godwin is our best WR. Beats is our Travis Kielce and OJ is way overrated for someone who has a history of injuries and subpar hands. Outside of them we have no one. Hard to pin this one of Winston. Defense let us down.

  4. Petty Officer Buc Says:

Scotty Miller probably looked like the second coming of DeSean Jackson with Ryan Griffin throwing him the ball and playing against the second team defense.

  5. CChead Says:

The next play JW scored a TD that was also wiped out by a bull sh*t holding call.

  6. Jameishas2go Says:

Scotty Miller is not playing well, and I expect he will be seeing few and few snaps at this point until he proves he can play up to the level we need.

  7. Tampabaybucfan Says:

When you lose scoring 34 points……I suspect the Defense is at fault.

Scotty screwed up….sure….but so did many others….

  8. BigMacAttack Says:

Mike Evans is great. Godwin is great. Perriman actually showed up today. Jones ran well. Barber is useless. Miller should be cut. Dotson wasn’t holding on the Jameis TD. Russell Wilson slayed the Bucs today. He’s an awesome QB and the better team won. I like Todd Bowles but his Seconday got torched, primarily Dean and Bowles left him on island the whole game when he could have made some adjustments. For a 4.3 forty guy, he sure plays about 4.6-4.7 lol. The Bucs are so bad. 2-14 here we come.

  9. Zzbuc Says:

Miller is the smallest problem we have….
    Que have a QB problem
    We have an OL problem
We have a running game problem
    We have a Secondary problem
But we have the worst of problem… The GMs Gps is not working, for the las 4 years, he has no clue where he is and where he is going!!!!

  10. Wesley Says:

He doesn’t belong on an NFL roster.

  11. Buc believer Says:

Mike Evans needs to bitch slap Miller! He is just a liability.

  12. alaskabuc Says:

I had up close and personal seats for that garbage. He also got beat up repeatedly off the line by Seattle’s dbs, and Seattle’s secondary sucks. End this Scotty Miller experiment. You can’t tell me there isn’t a better free agent out there.

  13. JimmyJack Says:

I saw Miller make a block today. Suprized he. He a little stronger then he looks.

Awful mistake by him. We still do beat ourselfs out there. Less mistakes today. All’s we can do is hope it keeps trending that way.

We are still a few players away but the mistakes have gotta get better or it will never matter how good our players are.

Whole half of season to show us better. All’s it takes is hard work

  14. Figures Says:

    @anonymous

    Evans is good not great?

Lmao wow you are really some kind of stuuuuupidddd lol.

Stop talking while you’re ahead lol. Good lord. Lmao hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhaaa

  15. bogiedr Says:

    Why is he here???

  16. JimmyJack Says:

Perriman had a quiet little decent game at least.

  17. Figures Says:

Says Evans isn’t great but probably thinks Winston is ELITE lol.

Some people shouldn’t be allowed to talk lol.

You are literally about as smart as a wet paper bag full of sh$t.

  18. Capt. Tim Says:

    Rookies screw up.
Why is he on the field so much? He should be on the practice squad

  19. bibi Says:

Coaches clearly have “types” for each position and Wason is behind Godwin, not Perriman and Miller.

OFC, coaches are targeting Perriman and Miller over OJ and Brate, so screw them.

  20. aj Says:

last week you had Perriman tackle his own guy. This week we saw Scotty run out of the end zone when he was wide open.

I don’t remember ever seeing this stuff. Not even on the old NFL Films bloopers videos.

  21. Loyaltotheend Section 312 Says:

You know your coordinator sucks when Miller, Perriman and Hudson have more targets than Brate

  22. WillieG Says:

Miller and Perriman shouldn’t see the field. If I was OC, I’d use a 4 tight end set instead of 4 wide receivers. The 2 most athletic TEs would replace the 2 sorry ass receivers. The other 2 TEs would continue to be TEs.

  23. Tbbucs3 Says:

Scotty Miller is your typical WR from Bowling Green.

Hey Licht, not every short white WR is Julian Edelman or even Hump

  24. A Train Says:

Let’s be honest here, the Perriman TD was pure luck on a pass that Winston recklessly forced into double coverage only to be helped out by Evans preventing an INT. We have 2 good WRs and that is about it. I think RJ is a decent running back.

  25. adam from ny Says:

evans might just haze little scotty in the looker room

    #BangZoom

  26. D-Rome Says:

Your funniest line is that the football field isn’t big enough for Scotty Miller.

  27. Hodad Says:

I was shocked he was drafted let alone made the team. Licht really has an I for talent.

  28. TexBuc Says:

Lets be honest when we give up 40 points we should not win a game.

  29. firethecannons Says:

not likely this kid makes next years squad The Bucs will find a new and better “scotty miller” in 2020 draft Not thinking breshad perriman is part of the squad either.

  30. adam from ny Says:

he is fast…but he has no idea how to use his body like an nfl receiver…he gets muscled away from plays, etc…if he can’t learn to use his size speed combo together than this is a wasted pick

  31. Sharthappens Says:

Hey Joe. You are still covering high school quality football today.

  32. Bucamania Says:

Seriously. Is there a bigger poser in the NFL than Scotty Miller? Guy is too small, too inexperienced, and gets zero separation. REALLY makes you question the coaching staff.
