Vita Vea Full-Go

September 7th, 2019

Starts Sunday.

Sort of brushed over by stud receiver Mike Evans missing Friday practice with a flu bug of some sort is that the Bucs regained the complete services of a key member of the defense.

Defensive tackle Vita Vea has been deemed full-go per Bucs coach Bucco Bruce Arians. In fact after practice yesterday, Arians boasted that Vea isn’t on a pitch count.

Vea’s knee injury a month ago was feared bad initially. But early tests showed only a strain.

Roughly two weeks later, Arians was saying some dinged up guys, including linebacker Lavonte David, might just be ready for Opening Day. When Joe asked Arians if Vea might be one of those guys Arians said, “I’m hoping.”

Hope no more. Not only did Arians say Vea has no snap count, he applauded Vea for staying in shape as best he could while he was on floppy hat patrol.

The fact Vea has no restrictions on him (allegedly) as he starts Sunday is a huge boost in Joe’s eyes.

I hope this man beast plays 100%

  2. AwShbucs Says:

Great news for us because if this guy stays healthy he has the tools to be the best NT in the league and then some.

Too bad we couldnt get Lvd back as well this week but it is what it is. Minter and Cichy both looked solid in the preseason and Devin White is a stud so our LB corps should be fine without Lvd for a couple weeks at least.

“Dont think we will get any QB sacks or pressure from Vea and Suh but

We should be very tough to run inside

“GMC created more holes for the opponents with his selfish girly swim move

Need the outside linebackers to contain the outside

Wll be severely tested with Matt Brieda sweeps sunday

Stop the run and put JimmyG in 3rd and long passing situations

*Defensive key is stop outside containment”

  4. tmaxcon Says:

Since vea can only hold up for 4 or 5 games a year they should hold him for specific games… bucfan loves them part time players

  5. macabee Says:

AwShbucs, both Vita Vea and Lavonte David are full-go for week 1. Go Bucs!

  6. DB55 Says:

I guess this is good. It’s hotter than a prostitute in a church out there so might as well save your key players.

  7. tmaxcon Says:

Lvd being full go hurts this team. Bowels keep the mental midget off the field in the 4th qtr if you have any hopes of holding onto a lead

  8. Ptwalk Says:

Awshbucs, I thought Lvd was a full go also.

  9. Chris K Says:

Thank God we didn’t draft that injury prone safety in San Diego!

  10. Defense Rules Says:

Great news on Vea. Still expect his snap count to be somewhat limited however, maybe in the 50% area. Thursday night’s game doesn’t allow much time for the big guys especially to recover. Hopefully our offense wins the TOP battle convincingly against SF, because Thursday’s game will probably be a different story.

  11. Chris K Says:

Excuse me, in LA… Old habit.

  12. JP_09 Says:

Suh and Vea will dominate the interior.

    Bucs 27 49ers 13

    Go BUCS!!!!

    Get after them Big guy!!

VV is probably more important to this teams success than JW’s GOTSTA throw to buddy ME.
Just stare me down Jaboo… and throw it in the vicinity.
    Accuracy don’t count……. that’s why we cool!

  17. neal Says:

@tmax. He has only played one season you dumba$$. Your comments get dumber by the day. I swear i have never seen someone complain so much.

  18. AwShbucs Says:

My b I thought lavonte was still out with a partially torn meniscus. Even better for us then lol.

  19. Ghost of Darrell Henderson Says:

“Thank God we didn’t draft that injury prone safety in San Diego! (LA)”

Yeah, drafting All Pros and impact players would be stupid.

Thank God we didn’t draft Josh Allen, just think of the problems Baltimore had with Ray Lewis and the Giants had with Lawrence Taylor.

Thank God we didn’t draft Trayvon Mullen, just think of the embarrassment Seattle had with Richard Sherman.

Thank God we didn’t draft Darrell Henderson just think of the mental anguish the Lions had with Barry Sanders.

Instead of All Pros and impact players the Bucs should stick with the Noah Spences, Devin Whites, Sean “Murphy’s Law” Buntings, VHIII’s, Cappas, James Deans and Benenoch’s. It’s safer and cheaper.

Remember the excitement when Joe Dirt almost made the team?

It’s a lot more exciting when a D3 player like Marpet gets a 2nd contract than winning playoff games.

“Is Darrell Henderson even in the league?”

The new “Bell Cow” for the NFC Champion Los Angeles Rams.

I know it;s hard to think outside of your timezone.

  24. AwShbucs Says:

Darrell Henderson averaged 2.5 yards a carry this Preseason and you just essentially called him the next Barry Sanders.

What size clown shoes do you wear ghost?

  25. DooshLaRue Says:

I like ME, but why not dangle him for at least a first round pick if this season starts falling apart? Hell, maybe even now.
Most likely we’ll be shopping for a new QB and Evans is a luxury.
If the AB situation falls apart in Oakland we could make a sweet deal with Chucky and Mike Mayock.

  26. WestChap Says:

What is happening on this site!? Trade Evans? You’re insane! He’s perfect complement to JW if JW does well and he’s exactly the kind of expensive player you use extra cash to pay if JW does poorly and we end up with a new rookie QB.

  27. AwShbucs Says:

Why would anyone actually want Antonio Brown on their team at all right now? Dude is literal locker room cancer.

  28. tmaxcon Says:

    neal

he is fragile pal… horrible pick. allen was the right pick. he’ll let you down. I am not negative I am just not living in fantasy land with the optimists. vea is unproven hardly a beast. he will be great for 4 or 5 games the problem is the season is 16 games…. they might want to remind cancer93’s little sidekick that the season is 16 games too he seems to show up for about 6 per year also.

  29. Christopher Schiefen Says:

If he’s wearing a knee brace, imo he’s not full go.

  30. cgmaster27 Says:

@westchap, don’t mind the idiots like doosh larue, his name says everything you need to know about him. And as for you Ghost, give up on Darrell henderson already, the dude sucked this pre season.,

  31. Chris K Says:

Forrest Gump>Tmax. Trolls will troll… Ghost of a back up RB, will he be an All-Pro this season? The answer is 10000% NO! My comment is to poke fun at all the ignorant asinine statements we’ve heard on her which probably including you when it came to Vea last season. The tables have turned and it’s James who can’t stay healthy enough to play a season. So all that injury prone crap thrown at Vea last season from the James nut huggers has been put to rest. Funny how karma always seems to affect the trolls.

  32. Todd Says:

That stench you’re smelling is Jimmy GQ sharting his soy-boy pants. If you were wondering.

  33. Ghost of Darrell Henderson Says:

“Darrell Henderson averaged 2.5 yards a carry this Preseason”

Yes, DH outperformed Vita Vea, Devon White,”Murphy’s Law Bunting, “Honey Badger” Edwards, Dizzy Dean, Scott Miller, and Terry Beckner.

    I wear a size 12-14 clown shoe.

You know what they say about big feet?

    Big Shoes!

    El Payacito… Miguel Grande

You might ask, if El Payacito means “little clown”, why do they call him Grande?

  34. AwShbucs Says:

Vita Vew was one of the best interior defensive lineman in the league down the stretch last year. And Devin White made a couple splash plays while giving up none and had the defense in position on every play. Hence no breakdowns.

2.5 ypc is abysmal for a Rb and here you are comparing him baselessly to Barry Sanders one of the best football players of all time let alone running back.

  35. tmaxcon Says:

    Chris K

dude you realize vea has not done a damn thing this year…. karma is good for me thanks for asking. my drinking elbow is solid and the 12 oz curls have outstanding form.

  36. Ghost of Darrell Henderson Says:

    @awshbucs

I’m comparing 8.2 ypc compared to Sanders 6.8.

Not only is DH better but 20% better.

Henderson is #1 all time compared to Sanders #34 all time.

    Oh, you’re talking practice? Practice???

    Somebody que Alan Iverson.

You say,”Barry Sanders one of the best football players of all time let alone running back.”

I guess I’m right then that Darrell Henderson is without a doubt, the greatest college RB of all time. 20% better than Sanders.

  37. AwShbucs Says:

College ain’t the pros tu payaso.

And did Henderson break Barry Sanders record for all-purpose yards? No he didnt. That would be Christian McCaffrey.

And it’s worth mentioning that the collective defense for the conference Henderson played in was garbage across the board.

  38. webster Says:

This is truly the dumbest fan base. We have idiots comparing 3rd round running backs to a heisman trophy winner, hall of fame running back. Talk about being butt hurt your team didnt pick who you wanted so therefore you allow your mind to step out for lunch. Congratulations, you sir are definitely not too bright.

  39. Ghost of Darrell Henderson Says:

DH didn’t return kicks, otherwise he would have beaten Sanders and McCaffrey.

Tony Pollard returned kicks for Memphis, he set the al time NCAA record for KO TD’s. DH only was allowed to return kicks for one game and he took one 99 yards for the score.

Keep in mind, DH was the red headed step child at Memphis and did not start. He was a 3rd down back playing only part time. DH led the NCAA in several categories last year.

Memphis defeated Old Miss (SEC) in the opener this year 15-10 in a defensive struggle. Mississippi didn’t convert a 3rd down in the 1st half. Old Miss was limited to 173 yards. That’s defense.

  40. AwShbucs Says:

College ain’t the pros. Dude averaged 2.5 ypc in the preseason. That’s his pro career to this point. You wanna compare an Nfl running back to Barry Sanders then it better be Saquon Barkley, Cmac or Zeke. Best 3 backs in the league right now. Todd Gurley would be in the convo as well if he were 100 percent.

  41. Rod Munch Says:

Give the guy credit. Sapp said he was too big and fat to make it through a summer camp in Florida at his weight, so two years in a row he gets hurt and misses most of camp. What a scam to pull off if he really couldn’t get it done. Hoping he has a game like he did last year against the 49ers, but that was against a 4th string QB and 3rd string offensive lineman – so it’s quite the step up.

  42. Jeff Says:

Yawn….Nacho is better. VV is not 100%. Stupid to play him. He’ll get hurt today.
