Rattled And Rolled

September 13th, 2019

“Thank you, G. Thank you.”

Gerald McCoy came unglued last night midway through the third quarter and got slapped with a 15-yard penalty on what turned out to be the game-winning touchdown drive.

It was so out of character for McCoy, and oh so satisfying for many Bucs fans.

Joe really wasn’t rooting for or against McCoy personally, but Joe had to smile when of all people, fellow-man loving Gerald McCoy got into a barking and shoving match with Bucs center Ryan Jensen.

Did Jensen tell McCoy that Beau Allen was going to wear No. 93 next year? Did he say Sabby Piscitelli would get into the Buccaneers Ring of Honor before he would? Perhaps he said Warren Sapp wiped his ass with McCoy’s kimono at One Buc Palace?

Whatever happened, McCoy gave the final and most ferocious shove and got flagged for unnecessary roughness. Four plays later, Barber was in the end zone with a 16-yard run up the gut.

Watching McCoy’s every snap for the past nine years, Joe can’t remember him ever losing his cool like that. And McCoy’s Panthers were leading 12-10 at the time.

It was a huge play. And Joe imagines it will eat up McCoy until he sees the Bucs again in four weeks.

No the next play GMC got trucked by Ronald Jones. I mean the very next play. What a muppet

  2. AwShbucs Says:

Say what you will about McCoy. But the raw numbers bear it out. Hes always been a loser.

  3. Lamarcus Says:

GMC continues to make a fool out of himself

I will always have mad respect for GMAC…I don’t care what anyone says…he does put income in my household cause he tips my son ( at his job) like crazy!!!!

  5. Snook Says:

    What a chump.

Missed tackles, costly penalty and on the losing team. Vintage McCoy.

  6. BucInCLE Says:

I said it yesterday. His feelings are hurt. The Bucs live rent free in his mind. He’s never had a nose for the ball or a big play. Tons of talent, never puts himself in position to capitalize. He finally realized that about himself because this was probably the first ever game that he wanted to take over. He couldn’t and got frustrated.

    We paid him 100 mil?
    Cmon

  12. Jean Lafitte Says:

Lot of contributors on D with big plays. How bout Nelson’s near sack tipped pass. Momentum changer. Shaq was on fire. Gholston, Vea, and Suh all made crucial plays. Minter replaced hurt rookie White with real solid play. Our DB’s made important sure tackles. AND McCaffery was neutered.

    ONE AND ONE BABY!!!!!!

Lol! funny stuff! GMC so self important too Lol!

  14. Rod Munch Says:

McCoy, after that play, beat Jensen badly twice – on one he missed the tackle on Ronnie, then on the other he forced the ball back outside right into a LB if memory serves correctly.

Remember, McCoy is a comicbook nerd, and they think they’re super heros, so if you get them angry, they’ll actually try hard. We shouldn’t try to get him angry because he did manhandle Jensen after he got mad. Thankfully we got a 15 yarder out of it.

  15. BucsBandit Says:

    NEW BUCS STRATEGY…

The key is to make sure many ex-Buc players go to other teams on the next season schedule.

Kwon and Gmac both really helped the Bucs with their play.

I knew it was going to be Ryan Jensen who got into it with GMC. No love lost as they weren’t teammates for very long. Love it! RJ baited GMC into a penalty. LMFAO.

Hopefully he took the bulk of the loser energy with him to Carolina.

  20. DCBucsfan Says:

You cockroaches leave GMC alone! Focus on your team since you got your wishes! Even in the pregame fact that he embraced Winston and still haven’t said a damn chirp back to Sapp says a LOT about how he’s a CLASSACT..and you stat nerds please provide me a reason why he’s not an all decade DT.. till then move on and shut the f up! Its a team game!

  21. Jean Lafitte Says:

He should’a took a pay cut and he’d still be a Buc

  25. LargoBuc Says:

Ole cream puff got mad bro 😂😂😂😂

  26. Bucsfanman Says:

After all the chirping this week and the offseason, it was entertaining to see him lose it. Still want to see him rag-dolled though.

  27. THETRUTH Says:

That was his most productive play for the Bucs in 9 years

  28. ClodHopper Says:

GMC said he knew Jameis’ escape plans. Turns out Jensen knew GMC’s weakness too. He probably just said Batman aint all that.

  29. orlbucfan Says:

GMC has always been the same player drafted as Leroy Selmon back in the day. Why was he let go for Suh with a 1 year contract? Wen are we going to address major issues like 12 head coaching changes in 12 years?????????!!!!!!

  33. Jason S. Mclaurin Says:

McCoy didn’t play a bad game. He did look outstanding with some proven talent surrounding him

  34. unbelievable Says:

I was cracking up when that happened. First time McCoy ever got into a “fight” in his entire career?

    LOLOLOLOL

  35. buc53 Says:

McCoy was a GREAT Buc and continues to be a class act. He was good for the organization and good for the Tampa community.

Never been real sure what the hate-on is that some loser fans had/have for this guy. He did really good things for the team during his time here, and I will cheer loudly when he retires as a Buc.

  36. taylor Says:

    I agree buc53

  37. Dude Love Says:

    toilet tissue 93

  38. Bryan Says:

Always looked like Tarzan and always played like Jane. Pretty get off though. SMDH!

  39. Rod Munch Says:

buc53 – There’s a lot of triggered idiots who hated McCoy because he wasn’t mean… GRRRRRR…. he needs to be mean, and nasty, and eat his boogers… GRRRRR… He’s nice and that makes them angry… GRRRRR!!!!!

For the nonsense praise of Jensen, he got his rear end handed to him after that play at least twice. I mean I’m glad the Bucs got 15 yards out the slapping back and forth, but based on what I saw after McCoy got mad, the ginger Jensen needs to settle down and trigger McCoy until late in the game.

  40. Howard Cosell Says:

    Leave Brittany Alllooonnnee!!
You’re lucky she ever suited up for you….Basturds!

  41. kyle Says:

so will they put “Azz Clown” 93 on the ring of honor?

  42. Buczilla Says:

    Karma’s a bitch.

  43. Howard Cosell Says:

If the Bucs make the playoffs (which I doubt)
then Howard will buy a Ryan Jensen jersey

  44. Howard Cosell Says:

Just going to be 100% candid here for the record:
I don’t like McCoy because I feel he was a bad teammate
because of the reasons recited ad nauseum in every McCoy story.
In my opinion his values and temperament are not the right ones
    for a pro football player.
When you take a guy like that and make him face of the franchise,
like our owners did, you destroy your team.
