Doomsday

September 27th, 2019

Forecast: meltdown.

A certain former NFL quarterback Bucs fans know well thinks America’s Quarterback, Pro Bowler Jameis Winston, is playing good ball (Joe will have more on that Sunday).

A former Super Bowl-winning wide receiver doesn’t believe it and sniffs a Jameis meltdown this Sunday.

Former Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz believes Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald will drive Jameis so batty that he will force picks left and right and the Rams will have a field day.

“That defense with Aaron Donald, they’re going to wreak havoc on Jameis Winston and in turn, that secondary better be ready because those balls are going to be up in the air and they’re going to be opportunities for interceptions.”

.It’s why Cruz picks the Rams to win Sunday, so he said on BSPN television.

Well, a horrid game from Jameis like Cruz predicts certainly would be a doomsday scenario for Jameis and his desire for a long contract extension.

What does Derrick Brooks think will happen to the Bucs on Sunday? That’s in the TAMPA TWO game preview below with Ira Kaufman.

    I’m betting on it. Literally.

  2. DB55 Says:

Cruz is right! but who said Jameis wants a long term contract with Tampa? Has Jameis said this or is this an assumption?

Chances are Donald will knock Jameis out the game like he did a few years ago except Jameis a solider and play 3 weeks with a shoulder injury.

That’s called heart something most Tampa Buccaneers know nothing about.

  3. AlteredEgo Says: Your comment is awaiting moderation. Says:

    LOL…….

  4. DB55 Says:

Donald, Talib and Kupp with destroy this team on Sunday.

  5. IsrBuc Says:

DB55 you’re intoxicated what other option does he have? Name me the team that will pay him to be qb1 next year. Sober up

  6. 99.97.92.55.47.40.28.20.7 Says:

    Bucs win! Bucs win!

  7. The Buc Realist Says:

Very possible!!!!!!!! Except for the picks right and left!!!!!!!!!! Not because america’s inaccurate game manager will take care of the balll, but rather ole stale biscuit will run and hand the ball of for three straight quarters of football!!!!!!!!!!

they will play scared football once america’s inaccurate game manager coughs up the ball!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2019 will reveal answers to the sheep, that the “real” fans already know!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  8. Jonathan Limpchimpi Says:

Winston will likely have turnovers…in large part because he can’t…and shouldn’t count on a kicker for points or a slew of matadors disguised as secondary players picked high in the previous few drafts. The Giant Gag will keep this team reeling and potentially sabotage Matt Guy’s time in Tampa.

  9. DB55 Says:

5 ints, 6 sacks and that’s by Ryan Griffin

Jameis probably won’t get more than 3-4 passes off.

  10. DB55 Says:

    Isr

Idk I assume the same people who paid Talib, Blount, Matt Bryant and countless other castoffs that weren’t good enough to be Buccaneers.

Lol, with their less than .400 lifetime winning percentage.

  11. DB55 Says:

If only we had Aaron Rodgers throwing red zone interceptions to loss the game. We’d be much more satisfied with out QB situation. The real fans know this is true.

  12. Figures Says:

Lol. Rodgers has a Super Bowl ring lol.

Yea heck yea I’d take Rogers over Winston any day of the week.

Most people without blinders on would too. In fact nearly every single person would. Lol. Wow.

  13. ITS ABOUT TIME !! Says:

dont wish for anyone to get hurt….. BUT ….. wouldnt it be nice if ryan griffan got a chance to play……….

  14. LordCornelius Says:

Who knows wtf a real fan is anymore lol.

Anyone willing to watch the Bucs after this long is a fan in my book.

While anyone who talks crap to all the Bucs fans constantly on the internet over the sake of an internet persona is kind of a piece of sh1t or someone who needs some kind of life intervention. I think my obsession with this team is super unhealthy but jesus christ.

    GO BUCS!

  15. Son of Kobe Faker Says:

“Donald going to embarrass our Oline

Cappa should do a Jalen Ramsey and call out sick or tell BA he is pregnant”

    Son of Kobe Faker

  16. DooshLaRue Says:

Boy, I sure hope Jameis doesn’t get hurt.

It would be a terrible thing to see RG4 come in and try to replace a truly great QB like JW.
I mean there’s just no way possible a guy with no career NFL starts could win a game……

    Right?

  17. Rob Says:

Double nickle. If you didn’t have such a badly disguised race chip on your shoulder about everything Winston, you might be taken seriously. Lose the constant race baiting and just make your point, sometimes they are spot on. Anyway, I thought your favorite quarterback played really well last week and in fact, that may have been one of his best games. The coaches took the ball out of his hands at the end for the most part and our kicker crapped himself again. Young team with an inexperienced secondary is what we have to deal with right now but the run game is improved and if Jameis keeps playing well like he is now, he will get handsomely paid here or somewhere else so just relax. Go Bucs!

  18. DB55 Says:

Figures that it is not about the end result it’s about the person under center. And I thought a loss was a loss. An int was unacceptable I guess I was wrong I guess it’s all good if it comes from a Aaron Rodgers or baker Mayfield but wtfdik

Yes haw! Hey when does NASCAR season start? I think some of you are better equipped to comment on the complexities of driving around in a circle.

  19. El_Buc941 Says:

I predict Jameis completes 85% of his throw with NO interceptions 2TDs and 1 RushTD. One thing i seen of Jameis this season is hes taking the sac instead of throwing it away. You cant be i tercepted if you dont throw the ball. Also my prediction for Shaq the One Man Attack is he’ll have 2 1/2 sacs. Bucs win 27-21!!!

  20. Rob Says:

Rogers hit his receiver in the chest with the ball and when it deflected and was intercepted, game over. Didn’t see him do anything wrong on the last play but wtfdik. NASCAR is unwatchable much like double nickle’s rants are clueless and hateful of anyone not in total agreement with his race tinged rants. Go Bucs!

  21. Anonymous Says:

    Douche Bag 55,

That interception of Aaron Rodgers last night hit his receiver in the bread basket and was deflected by the receiver. (the same type of play that Winston threw an interception to Howard in traffic against the 49ers and you blamed on Howard) Why the double standard? Besides that was Aaron Rodgers first interception of the year and first in 212 pass attempts. Find another argument. Your inferiority complex stands out like a sore thumb!!!

  22. DooshLaRue Says:

    DB55,

Pleases allow me to answer the question you love to ask:

    “BWTFDIK”?

    Answer:

That the Soiled Messiah’s balls are truly delicious!

    Mmmmmm-mmmmmmmm!!

  23. DB55 Says:

    Rob

Not sure how long you’ve been around but I’ve been clowning these country bunkins for about 5 years now.

It’s cool when they use their code words like ignorant etc but when I call them out for who they are it’s a problem.

I’m a football fans Rob. I enjoy watching Wentz and Brady as much as Winston. I watch football, I watch tape. And what I’ve learned over the years is that most of these clowns should stick to nascar and cornhole or bowling or something bc they don’t know Jack about football.

  24. DB55 Says:

    Struck a nerve Rob. Lmao.

I saw countless passes throw over Adams head. As a matter of record Rodgers threw 19 passes that missed the mark but wtfdik

hee-haw hee-haw he hittem in da chest

  25. Rob Says:

    55. I hear you and I too am a huge football fan, especially for the Bucs and Bulls. I admittedly am not a huge Jameis fan but if he does well and the Bucs resign him, I’ll continue to cheer for him and all the Bucs. I think Jameis is playing smarter than ever right now (he did have a bad pick in the third quarter but no ones perfect, HOFers throw picks too). He is taking sacks when he has no choice and throwing the ball away when needed to extend drives and live to fight another day. He is not the reason we are losing. The ultra conservative play calling in the second half last week was ridiculous. Play action? What is that? With both running backs doing well, and with our awesome receivers, we should be dominating. I would not be shocked to see the Bucs win Sunday. Go Bucs!

  26. DB55 Says:

    Doooooooooosh

How are u my friend? Hey did u know that after Winston leaves this franchise will still have the lowest winning percentage in the history of all sports? But don’t worry elite QBs are lining up to sign up to play here. 😉😉

    Doooooooooooosh

  27. Bucs Fan Says:

Worst fan base every! At least on this web site. If we went 16-0, none of you would be happy. Well they didn’t win all of the preason gaimes, get rid of everybody. SMH.

  28. ElBajito43 Says:

Winston is playing scared, because Arians has changed Jameis. Sadly the only way that #3 can play football, is to risk it constantly.

Some of Winston’s greatest plays have been because of his crazy never say die mindset, even though some of his worst plays have been because of that. At this point I need to see the Buccaneers stop playing scared and just live with a free and reckless QB because the tame and tempered Winston is NOT the guy.

Just let it fly Sunday and let’s see where we are.

  29. DB55 Says:

    Bajito gets it.

You guys have managed to castrate Winston (nothing new around these here parts) bc you can’t handle the real Jameis.

That’s why the powers that be didn’t draft Darby, Cook or James. Can’t have all these thugs on the team they might make the worst team in the history of sports look bad.

I highly dislike most of youz. But yea TURNOVERS and what not unless of course it Aaron Rodgers then it just part of the game. Smh

  30. stpetebucsfan Says:

    DB55

Yeah you finally got something right. You are definitely a clown.

Country Bumpkin….what the h are you…oh that’s right you’ve self identified as a clown so I can’t really argue with that.

  31. RustyRhinos Says:

Jensen, Cappa and Marpet need to pound on the great Aaron Donnald. Hit him again and again and again and again. Do not let up, personal foul, hit him again. Let’s see who really wants to WIN. The only way we can win a war of attrition is to beat the guy in front of you again and again. Make him hate playing against you. Bring our best because they are three dash zero. Not preaching how well their QB’S potential is at one dash two.

SHOW ME EVENT coming on Sunday! Bring it!

  32. Howard Cosell Says:

Absolutely hopeless game. Forfeit now lol!
    Seriously though…not joking…..it’s a hopeless game.
Howard isn’t even going to watch

  33. Howard Cosell Says:

Howard will make good use of his Sunday and then get the post-mortum from Joe

  34. Bucsfanman Says:

I love, absolutely LOVE that nobody, not even Buc “fans,” are giving this team a chance.
We should be 3-0. WHEN this team starts clicking all TOGETHER what will the supposed “fans” do?!
I predict that Victor Cruz will eat some humble pie by way of a Buc victory. That victory will come by way of a 100 rushing yard game by either back and big turnovers from Goff created by OUR defensive line.
Come Sunday, I will either be accepting written apologies from faux fans, OR……….I here that crow tastes mighty fine when paired with a pinot noir!
Fanman prediction: Bucs 28, Rams 13.

  35. bucs4ya Says:

I also believe Winston is playing timid. I want to see him hit his last step and let the ball fly or get the he!! outta dodge and use his feet to get positive yards. I’ll be at the game on Sunday and hope that my wife and I in our Bucs jerseys are treated to a great game and a Bucs victory just like when we went to the Chargers game a few years back.

  36. Howard Cosell Says:

Lol Bucfan is like an abused spouse:
“No really I think this time he’s really going to change and stop abusing me”
Lol hows that work out for you?

    #glazerfail

  37. Bucsfanman Says:

Howard- I’m not a ‘hightail and run’ kind of fan. So it works fine for me because football is entertainment for me.
Now, how do you know that I don’t like ‘abuse’?! LOL! I’m a Bucs fan! I would think that speaks for itself!!!

  38. kgh4life Says:

The Rams definitely have a ferocious pass rush and an opportunistic secondary, so it is possible for Jameis to have a bad day. That is why the Bucs have to run the football in order to slow the pass rush and keep the Rams offense on the sideline, that is the Bucs only hope.

  39. Howard Cosell Says:

Howard hates abuse, losers, whiners, bullys, stupidity, laziness and all forms of inefficiency ……hence he is a terrible bucs fan

  40. Howard Cosell Says:

Maybe after this game Godell steps in to make the glazers sell?

  41. Howard Cosell Says:

Howard fully respects Winston and sympathizes with the fact he was drafted by the Bucs. Best thing for him is to get out of this town asap

  42. Reach87 Says:

Anyone betting on our QB having a horrible game and us losing is not a fan. Miserable. No “yeah buts” about it. Zero credibility as a fan of the team or a fan of anything. Worthless to any team endeavor. Sad. Go Bucs!

  43. Bucsfanman Says:

Howard- Yes, ALL Buc fans love abuse, can’t wait to lose, eat cheese with our w(h)ine, always bully, dumb as rocks, never get out of our recliners, and will do things twice for the sake of doing things twice, doing things twice!

  44. TouchDownTampaBay Says:

Reach, I am a lifelong fan of the Bucs but I don’t think we re going to travel to the west coast and beat one of the best teams in the league. Just because I deal in reality when it comes to the team I support doesn’t make me less of a fan. Do you think the Bucs are going to win the SuperBowl this year? If you don’t believe that does that mean that you also are not a fan?

  45. TouchDownTampaBay Says:

I do agree with you though about the haters who are hoping Jameis fails. I think many of them would rather Jameis throws 6 picks and we lose by 30 rather than has another 400 yard passing game, 5 TDs and a Bucs win! I agree with you on that, those idiots are not real fans.

  46. Reach87 Says:

Touchdown; copy all. I think we CAN beat the Rams. I honestly do. I think we have to improve a lot before any play-off talk, let alone Super Bowl. I agree with you on the right side of the spectrum…wishing and betting on failure is simply not what a fan of anything does. Not what a team player does. I see that as black and white and for those above quibbling rationale to justify dogging “their” team before the game even starts, I see them as fake, disingenuous and (again, no matter how they rationalize it), lost. Go Bucs

  47. Anonymous Says:

4 years was enough of a sample size. A good game here and there doesn’t justify top ten Quarterback pay.

  48. Pittsshore Says:

Reach around: put the bong down. I have 137 people left in my survivor pool. 109 of them picked the Rams. Food for thought: none of them picked the Bucs last week against the Giants.

  49. LUVMYBUCS Says:

I might have to take +9.5 to the window. Yup

  50. Hodad Says:

Jameis reminds me of some of the characters in the Wizard of Oz. He has heart, but if he only had a brain!

  51. DB55 Says:

Besides that was Aaron Rodgers first interception of the year
    —————
I guess the fumbles lost only count for the ignorant no-brain thug quarterbacks

  52. BucsBandit Says:

    LOL @DB55

Now we realize he’s a massive FSU-homer too.

Jameis could throw 8 INTs in one game and DB55 would say it’s because he was getting pressured too much.

    Always an excuse for Winston.

SPOILER ALERT: One day you’ll wake up to the fact that Jameis Winston just isn’t that good for an NFL QB.

  53. Fire the fans Says:

Bandit, you’re just wrong. Idk how else to put it. 28-20 Bucs win in la Sunday. Defense rebounds and the coaching staff keep the foot on the gas this time.

  54. Fire the fans Says:

I hate to break it to you guys but Jameis is gonna get an incentive laden contract after this year

  55. Fire the fans Says:

Also, James has said before he would take less pay to be on a good team. So you guys that think we’re going to have to pay him the big bucks are foolish. If he is what he claims to be, which I know a lot of you doubt, we will be getting him for about $20-$24 million a year at most

  56. Warrenfb12 Says:

Def a blow out waiting to happen

  57. Jeff Says:

He won’t survive the game. Too much pass rush. Get ready for the Griffer!

  58. Buc believer Says:

I hope baseball is on on Sunday.

  59. Figures Says:

    DB55
Just may be the dumbest most “ignorant” shhhhhhh (code word lmao)

Idiot on this site.about as smart as a paper bag full of sh. It. Lmao.

Hahahahahahahahahahha mr big man yada yad lol. Nothing but a talker.

We laugh at you everyday. Thanks

  60. JimbobBucsFan Says:

Finally Winston is being coached up well in his fifth year in the NFL.  He is replacing lifelong bad habits (allowed during his college days and his first four years in the NFL.) with good game management habits.  His previous coaches under Koetter failed to help him develop as a professional.  He is making steady progress under the guidance of his coaches overseen by Arians.

Five more games in and he should have those new habits somewhat ingrained.  Then Arians can unleash him for the last half of the season.  His new good habits and his natural instincts melded together will make him a quality NFL quarterback.  He should be unleashed  completely by the end of the season.

If the rest of the team flourishes and we have enough wins to make it to the playoffs Winston will be prepared to perform well.

Winston has shown steady improvement in these first three games.  TDs 1, 1 and 3.  INTs 3, 0 and. 1.  Average yards per passing attempt 5.4, 8.3 and 10.3.  Quarterback rating 45.5, 103.4 and 112.4.

Let’s watch how the next five games go.

  61. BigHog Says:

If we lose it will be a team effort…not a one
    man loss ….like “THAT GUY”!!

  62. BucEmUp Says:

Its all playcalling and knowing your opponent. Something our OC CANT do and our HC COULD DO but chooses not to.

  63. Buccfan37 Says:

When I’ve been able to bet I am always a sucker for a bet on the Bucs plus the points. So I agree with LUVMYBUCS and would risk a bet with the points. It will not surprise me if the Bucs play closer than expected.

  64. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

I don’t know how the game will go, but if Arians and Leftwich are smart, they’ll have quick pass plays like Brees uses.

    And lots of protection.

  65. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

A win this week would be pleasant. I’m making no assumptions, good or bad. Just give me a full 60 minutes of football, not 35 minutes like the defense gave us last week.

So far as Winston, I’d guess just about any QB needy team would sign him as a starter next year. He’s much better than the haters claim.

Hopefully, he will prove it this season and stay in Tampa.

He is steadily improving from game to game right now.

  66. Touchdown, Tampa Bay Says:

TouchDown TampaBay, you again! You sir are a crook. You stole my name. I am Touchdown, Tampa Bay. I am the original. You are a fraud! Shame on you! I’m Michael Jordan, you are Michael B Jordan!

  67. Touchdown, Tampa Bay Says:

TouchDown TampaBay is a weak imposter! He has no originality. You can’t convince me you didn’t know that I was already using the name Touchdown, Tampa Bay. You tried to use a few caps to switch it up a bit, but you are lame and tired! And I will continue to take you to court each and every day on this website. Why not Buccaneer Bonzai Jr?!

  68. TouchDownTampaBay Says:

Dude I have been posting on this site much longer than you.

  69. TouchDownTampaBay Says:

Actually pretty damn funny to see a new screen name pop up and have that guy accuse me of stealing him name even though I have been posting on this site for years.

  70. Touchdown, Tampa Bay Says:

Listen I’m sure you are a cool person. This in part fun for me, but I honestly believe I had the name first

  71. firethecannons Says:

forecasting 1 td, 3 int, and 250 yds with

  72. firethecannons Says:

    and 1 strip sack fumble

  73. Touchdown, Tampa Bay Says:

TouchDown… why not HomeRun Rays? That could work. Or TouchDown Florida Gators? Try one those.

  74. D1 Says:

    Bonzai,

Have you noticed how many passes are now short and quick. I believe that your suggestion has already been in practice the last 3 games. Are you suggesting more passes like that or something else entirely.

  75. Buczilla Says:

Forget Jameis, Ronald Jones (it’s weird saying this) needs to have a big game and grind down the clock. Jameis has had his good moments this year, but he is still too erratic to put the ball up 30+ times without a few turnovers against the Ram’s defense. We need some balance on offense to keep the Ram’s offense off the field and prevent them from bombing us into oblivion like that gosh darn rookie did to us last week. I’m still pi$$ed about that too. What an embarrassment. 😂

  76. TouchDownTampaBay Says:

Go back through the archives. I have been posting on this site long before you ever showed up. Been on here for about five years now and I literally have never seen your screen name on her until the past couple of weeks. Pretty sure you’re just trolling but going to mention it this last time since you seem so wound up about it.

  77. Negative Nancy Says:

Winston is 25th in Total QBR this year. Only 12 teams make the playoffs so…

  78. BucsBandit Says:

Let’s all just sit back and enjoy the Jameis Winston Farewell Tour.

  79. EEK Says:

1 average quarter, 1 amazing quarter, 1 horrible quarter, 1 average quarter

    lose by 4

kick the can for another week….

  80. Oneilbucs Says:

You know guys!!! I remember the Pittsburg game last year and fiz had 3 interceptions and the first half and played good the second half and people gave him props for 1 half of football. He had 1 good half in the eagles game last year and people went crazy on this site. We lost the Steelers game and he the ball last to drive us up the field for the win and he couldn’t do it. Jamies had a last minute drive and he put us in position to win and the kicker couldn’t make a 29 yard kick with no win blowing and Jamies is getting blame for the lost. But you guys have said I hope Jamies plays well. Man yall hope this kid fail even if it cost us games. Yall rather lose with Jamies than win with Jamies . But if he keeps playing like this you guys are going to be mad cause he ain’t going nowhere. Lol lol lol

  81. BucEmUp Says:

Leftwich is going to call 95 % five step drops and have Jameis force balls down field tomorrow. Weak link leftwich is out of his league and its ARIANS fault for outting him there. I dont see this ending well unless the scheme.the offense to take whay the defense is giving them…
something Weak link already said he doesnt think is nnecessary.

    Arians for.playcalling or bust
