Did Bucs nail the coffin?

Being the only game on TV brings a lot of attention and a lot of eyeballs.

So in the lead-up to the Bucs-Stinking Panthers game Thursday night, as you may have figured out if you visited this site before the game, America’s Quarterback, Pro Bowler Jameis Winston, was absolutely getting killed on national sports TV and radio shows.

And after the Bucs beat the Stinking Panthers Thursday night, the talk on the same shows Friday was that pouty Cam Newton’s career is over. He’s finished, washed up, done, kaput. And what the hell is he wearing?

So Joe brings this video for lighthearted laughter how in a matter of hours, the chatter across the country flipped from Jameis is a rotten quarterback to Newton is trash and his career is oh-vah and someone dresses him funny.

Popular radio and TV sports personality Adam Schein took Newton to the woodshed on his show, “Time to Schein,” seen weeknights on CBS Sports Network, after the Bucs spanked the Stinking Panthers. It’s a funny video but Schein spent nearly four minutes all but saying Newton needs to hang it up.

All thanks to the Bucs!

And by the way, what was that getup Newton was wearing after the game between the hair and the granny scarf? He looked like a cockatoo!

Bucs defense instilling fear into qbs heads across the league!

  2. Rodney Munch Says:

Everyone is saying Newton’s arm isn’t there, but he threw the ball over 50 times last night. If he’s injured and has a bum arm, then the Panthers are morons for having him continuing to throw the ball. Clearly however something is different with him running, he’s just not moving the way he used to. On the throws however he’s always been awful under pressure – and the Bucs were blitzing a ton last night.

Anyways don’t say he’s done, it’s just moronic and will come back to bite us if people start buying into this garbage. He started the year looking awful just a couple of years ago and came back really strong. I’m more than hoping he’s finished, if him and Brees were done at the end of the year it would really help out of the Bucs, but I don’t see that happening.

Well, @Joes, now the Bucs have the third best quarterback in their division. 🤓

  5. Pryda...sec147 Says:

    I’m speechless 😶

  6. Tval Says:

Total nonsense. He’s being “Colin’d“, minus the kneeling. BOTH top 15 talents, OVERALL IN THE LEAGUE, if you give them a run game and defense. Haters just hate. Cam doesn’t even have a TRUE #1 wideout. He does simply amazing things, outside the pocket, and he has PLENTY of the traditional qb attributes you want from your franchise qb. Teams are so quick to abandon ship due to hot-take b.s.

  7. Bucfan593 Says:

Lowly Buccaneers is all I took out of that. Come on Tampa let’s buck that trend. If the Panthers are done and the falcons implode. Drew Brees can’t play forever let’s take this division for the next half decade!

  8. pick6 Says:

I think Hasselbeck was on to something….it’s not his arms it’s a leg thing. even guys with big arms need their legs and footwork to make accurate throws. With the sporadic inaccuracy and lack of running calls for Cam, they’re definitely working through\around some kind of physical issue. 2017 or prior Cam would have connected on far more throws, and converted all those 1-yard-to-go stops by the bucs into automatic 1st downs with classic Cam Newton QB sneaks

    *Hasselbeck on the postgame analysis

  10. Jonathan Limpchimpi Says:

Fruit Newton is 0-8 in the last 8 games he’s started. I believe much of it’s mental. Anytime you dress like Mrs. Doubtfire for post game press conferences, it does make one wonder where he’s at mentally.

  11. Defense Rules Says:

You could tell in the first quarter that Cam’s arm isn’t what it used to be … he threw deep left to Curtis Samuel (who had VHIII clearly beat) for a 44-yard gain, but Samuel had to slow down to make the catch and Vernon tackled him right away. A tad more lead and Panthers likely would’ve had a TD on that play. In the end they had to settle for a FG on that series so the difference was only 4 points, BUT … that difference could’ve made it 20-18 at the end and allowed the Panthers to kick a FG with 1:30 left to take the lead … IF nothing else had changed. Little things like that ultimately come back to bite you in the butt, and it bit the Panthers.

  12. adam from ny Says:

he’s probably more focused on his dress game than the real game nowadays…he’s trying to be the next dennis rodman…sorta

he is generally trying for the jean michel basquiat look (google it if you don’t know who he is)…he’s gpt the hair down to a tee…and with a hint of drag to honor the lgbt community…the only problem here is he’s losing a lot…watch out if he heats up and the panthers start winning…he will probably go full on flamboyant…and if you don’t know what that means, just peep the hash tag below 🙂

  13. Slugglife Says:

    Pock six

Alot of those throws were errant due to pressure. Gotta give the pass rushers some credit on that.

  14. Slugglife Says:

Oh, and dont make fun of cams headwear.

Some of the posters here will be wearing that next time you see them. Hopefully their scarf matches their underwear.

  15. BUC CHEEKS Says:

Whaaaat… It’s the Jackie-O/Elton John/Mickey Mouse look… And that’s all Cam! Haven’t u seen way he ever so meticulously wraps that Gatorade towel over his head and tucks into his neck hole in his shoulder pads. Same deal. Smh, He probably tucks something else between his legs, the ugly lady – Silence of the lambs Buffalo Bill style Lmfao, this idiot brings this on himself. Just ridiculous. Trashionista. JUST WAIT TILL WERE IN LONDON HAAAAA! He’ll look like Rupaul, Mary Poppins and Austin Powers rolled into one!

  17. Conte Piscatelli Says:

Cam had always s been the definition of a streaky QB. When things start good and he is doing his Superman thing he becomes very hard to stop. But when you get to pouty Cam, that dude implodes and basically quits. This has been can his entire career.

  18. Buc_U Says:

    @Slugglife

I agree. All the talk has been how bad Cam was but no one is talking about how good our defense was. Cam was forced into bad throws by our defense because of the pressure and he was getting hit all night. Yes there were couple of times he missed wide open receivers but I counted at least 4 times we could have had interceptions that were dropped. So coulda woulda shoulda on both sides. Regardless our defense balled out and deserves more credit then they are getting. Thank you Todd “Super” Bowles for bringing defense back to Tampa.

  19. ClodHopper Says:

Nothing is better than the win, but the Cam memes are a close second.

Between his (former?) talent and his personality, as Buc fans there’s not a lot to like about this guy, so the memes are great when he does most of the work for them.

What can I say? I have Cam derangement syndrome and I’m not looking for a cure!!

  20. #1bucsfan Says:

Not a cam fan here but who cares what these people say on tv or social media especially the ones who have a never played a down in the nfl. Most of them are all clowns 🤡

  21. DooshLaRue Says:

    Superman…….or Wonder Woman?

  22. DooshLaRue Says:

Instead of Eatin’ Ws, I suspect Cam strongly prefers to Eat D’s.

At least we don’t have the fruitiest QB in the NFL!

  23. SteelStudBuc Says:

    Guy looks like a granny…
Something strange going on with this guy…
I don’t know if he can be trusted by the Panthers much longer if he can’t hit wide open guys.

  24. Tampabaybucfan Says:

Surely you can’t contend that Cam Newton is healthy…….not one single running attempt….not one.
The Panthers chose that last play for two reasons……one, our Dline was stuffing the run up the middle all night….two, Cam can’t run or even sneak.

“If he can’t run, Cam is done” TBBF

  25. Hodad Says:

You become the worst team in the division when you pick up the Bucs garbage, Gerry McCoy. It’s all his fault. Owner of nine basement titles. Seriously, riverboat Ron will be working on a riverboat next season. The Pants will draft a new QB, because it is over for Cam. He could make a living as a drag queen tho. McCoy will play for another team at league minimum next year his last in the league. The Panthers will win the basement title in the NFC south this year. Any team with McCoy on it will.

  26. Bucnjim Says:

He and McCoy are REAL close. They share their love for the camera and attention seeking good or bad.

  27. Todd Says:

The dude’s ego is so giant he DRESSED IN DRAG like a BABUSHKA!

    Read that sentence again!

His career is over because of his ego.

The bigger they are, the harder they fall.

Except for Cam on 4th and 1 near the end-zone. But I digress…

    A fu(king Babushka!

  28. Todd Says:

Joe, I know you are prone to use the same photo of people over and over.

Can you PLEASE forevermore have the photo featured here be Cam’s personal digital representative within JBF?

    Pretty please?

  29. Go Bucs 72 Says:

Sham Newton was exposed for the front running self centered little bitch that she is when she would not jump on that fumble in the Super Bowl. Batgirl and her are a match made in playing dress-up heaven.

  30. OneBuc55 Says:

I know Jameis isn’t perfect but I’d rather have him than this cross dressing, self-centered, cry baby…

  31. Usedtocould Says:

Guy goes vegan and all of a sudden isn’t the best athlete on the field. Shocking

  32. rhenry Says:

Doosh, that was funny as hell.
OneBuc55, you beat me to it. I will take JW and 5 picks a game over that freak bag. I almost feel sorry for the Panther fans but don’t.

  33. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Adam Schein is a ratings grabber, as are most of his fellow sellouts.

Cam Newton IS the worst QB in the division so far as individual stats go (except for last year) but the important thing is that he has no sense of fashion. He looked like a 1970s pimp in the presser. Wonder if he had platform shoes? lol

  34. 2002WasALongTimeAgo Says:

C’mon, Cam couldn’t have run that last play, he might’ve broken a heel running or jumping! I never imagined I would see any NFL player pout more than Cam, but now there’s another on his team. Just saw McCoy’s pregame rah-rah. Can anyone explain why he wanted to play at RJS to hear Buc’s fans “boo”? The Stinkin’ Panther fans were doing a fine job.

  35. tickrdr Says:

@TBBF: Excellent post, and agree completely.

The defense held the Panthers without a single touchdown, and only gave up 12 points. Yet, the game was in doubt, with less than 2 mins in the 4th quarter? Cam Newton was a shell of himself, and HE may be the one to not finish out this year, if that sort of play continues.

If you watched the MNF game, what odds would you give that Drew Brees could drive his team to FG range in 38 secs? Now, if the Panthers had scored a lead touchdown……………

    QOTD:
What are the odds that our franchise QB would have led a game-winning drive?

    tickrdr

  36. Jmarkbuc Says:

His throwing motion is definitely jacked…looks like he’s shot putting the ball.

Our defense played great, but if we had been playing against a QB that could throw, things might have been much different.

  37. Jmarkbuc Says:

    tickrdr

    20/80… my guess.

Glad we won, but definitely too close for comfort.

  38. 813bucboi Says:

not sure it he’s overcome his injuries mentally…..seem hesitant about running….more inaccurate than every before….

    GO BUCS!!!!

  39. firethecannons Says:

We will always be the lowly Buccaneers until we are not. Simple as that. You claw your way out of the massive hole you have dug yourself one goddam game at a time. The defense was a sight for sore eyes. Careful study of the opponents and more players buying in and more players willing to focus on Todd Bowles and his game plans.Players that get it helping the other players get it.Jameis needs to get it and somebody on that offense needs to get Perriman and OJ Howard to wake up and focus as it is later than they think. GO BUCS!

  40. ClodHopper Says:

Joe said Jensen must’ve told GMC Batman was Wonder Woman without the breasts and lasso.

Cam: I’ll show you Wonder Woman without breasts and a lasso!!

  41. Pewterplank Says:

Really don’t care about Newton. The part that stands out was “lowly Buccaneers”. I love the win, but it has been a decade of irrelevance. I want to believe but have been to the alter many times. Hey Buccaneers, please give the fans consistent evidence you are relevant in the coming weeks.

  42. Dan Says:

Sorry. Cam or no Cam we have a backup QB starting. Did you hear what he said after the game. BA told me to be me and toss the ball around. So it worked out this week. It won’t all the time and Jameis said he’s gonna be himself and not change right on TNF. And folks please believe him. He won’t.

  43. Denjoe Says:

He still threw for 333 yards on us! That say’s our secondary although better needs to tighten up.

  44. Eric Says:

    could be the vegan diet.

  45. 813bucboi Says:

    Denjoe

    but 0 TD’s…..

i’ll take that all day and twice on sunday!!!!!

    GO BUCS!!!!!

How does that clown leave a mirror looking like that. Screaming for attention.

  47. adam from ny Says:

i watched cam newtons entire press conference before and after the bucs game…the one leading up to the game was weird…he seems like he’s on drugs…he gets all sleepy eyed while talking a lot…then refocuses…then does it again and again…he slouches, moves around funny, head down a lot…talks utter nonsense at times to the media, massaged his own shoulder and neck on the podium, then dragged his hand over his chest to only bring it back up and caress his nipple quickly…i swear i just watched his body language the entire time…he’s def on something…maybe it’s only pain killers, but that dude is acting bugged out at the podium…

it’s his recent presser that he’s wearing a grey under armour athletic dri-fit type shirt…

cam is one to watch this season for sure – dude is about to implode

  48. adam from ny Says:

    maybe cam has dengue fever…

  49. WestChap Says:

I never thought I’d say it but I am so grateful we have JW and not (this year’s version) former League MVP Cam. Just, yikes! Something is clearly wrong and not just physically. Prince reincarnated somehow is inhabiting Cam’s body… and bringing along some chemicals for the ride? If he turns himself into a symbol next week…

  50. Jmarkbuc Says:

    West chap

    You are insulting Prince.

  51. Isaac Gamble Says:

They have taken the Offense away from Cam. He always said the league has never seen anything like him and was voted the toughest QB to play against. Unleash Cam and let him run. Everyone know McCaffrey is your #1 option. When Cam runs we win. He can pass i think 50 passes proves that even tho he has no line STILL.

  52. Isaac Gamble Says:

Hell this is America, he can dress like he wanna his own fashion but if he was like wearing a dress o well. I dont think he is declining. I think with every loss and sack and game he’s told mot to run he may be losing intrest in playing for the Panthers
