Buccaneers 55, Rams 40

September 29th, 2019

Wow! The Bucs manned up in a massive, massive way after a brutal home loss.

Our beloved Buccaneers shocked the NFL world, racking up 55 points on the defending and undefeated NFC champions. And Bucco Bruce Arians showed Bucs fans everywhere that he’s captaining a very different ship.

It’s not every day when your team wins after allowing 517 yards passing on the freakin’ road.

Tampa Bay (2-2) is now firmly in second place in the NFC South, with the Panthers (2-2) behind them on the Bucs’ tiebreaker edge. Atlanta (1-3) was pummeled by Titans and the Saints (2-1) play Dallas tonight.

Chris Godwin was downright unstoppable, 12 catches for 172 yards and two touchdowns. Mike Evans broke the Rams’ back with a 67-yard touchdown haul and a crushing third-down catch late in the game.

Did Aaron Donald play today? What a stud job by the Bucs’ interior offensive line.

America’s Quarterback, Jameis Winston, looked like a commanding superstar before throwing a needless pick-6 that let the Rams back in the game at a critical point. The target? Bobo Wilson. A bad decision that almost cost the Bucs. But it didn’t. Jameis finished with 385 yards and four touchdowns, as he carved up a proud Rams defense.

Shaq Barrett gets sack No. 9 on the season, a strip-sack with a minute to go. What a monster spin move in crunch time to set up the Ndamukong Suh touchdown.

The secondary? It’s scary bad. But Joe can’t care about that today.

The Bucs are explosive and dangerous and it feels damn good.

Bring on the Saints next Sunday!

  6. Howard Cosell Says:

    Joe?….What just happened?

  7. alaskabuc Says:

    We need Ramsey!!

  8. kgh4life Says:

Great win, but i gotta say it, M.J. Stewart needs to be benched. Go Bucs.

  9. David Says:

I know everyone’s going to talk about the offense, but this defense is impressing. Yes they gave up a lot of points, but they get pressure, they stop the run and they come up with a big plays. They just need another big time DB if they’re going to blitz this much and isolate the DB’s.

  10. GhostofSchiano Says:

    Bowles > Smitty

    Leftwich > Koetter

    Suh > Mcoy

    Gay > santos-aguyao

  11. Gettinthebucs Says:

Wow sack Barrett is a beast!!!! Can’t believe what I just saw!

  12. David Says:

JW is also looking damn good ever since the San Fran game.

And Ronald Jones is looking like a stud when he is decisive!!

  13. Jean Lafitte Says:

    It feels good!!! 🦜

  14. firethecannons Says:

are you kidding me!!hot damn–best the Bucs have ever played in the 5 years I have watched NFL!!!!!!!I am so proud of the Bucs–amazing–the breakout game happened today–best game ever!!!!!!

  15. kgh4life Says:

    @ alaskabuc

The bucs are not going to the playoffs, so they should keep their premium picks and upgrade the oline.

  16. geno711 Says:

The half empty fans will complain about the passing yards given up but we made the Ram’s one dimensional and caused a bunch of turnovers by doing that.

  17. alaskabuc Says:

    GhostofSchiano
You for got Ramsey > Bucs entire secondary

  18. Clw JB Says:

    WOW

I am glad to eat crow

    Unbelievable win

    Not perfect but 55 points

    Holy Smoke

    Way to respond Bucs!!!!!

  19. Loyaltotheend Section 312 Says:

First time in Jameis’s career he’s thrown for at least 3 TDs in consecutive weeks

Good job rebounding from that nut punch last week

  20. Howard Cosell Says:

    Barrett = “The Closer”

  21. GhostofSchiano Says:

    Realist…..get off those sheep

  22. firethecannons Says:

Boom Shaq a lacka is making a run at DPOY!!!!!!!!!!

  23. Reach87 Says:

    Pittshore + 🙂

  24. rrsrq Says:

The defense is definitely making teams one dimensional, no body can run on us, but why would they if we can’t stop the pass (unless Shaq gets to the QB)

  25. David Says:

And others have already said it, but where has Shaq Barrett been for the first few years of his career?!?!?!?

  26. Jimmy Says:

Great game, but the secondary is just awful. We haven’t been able to fix that in 6 years under Licht.

  27. geno711 Says:

Buc’s undefeated on the road this year!

  28. MadMax Says:

    STOKED!!!!!!!!

WE GOTS A D, 2 NUMBER 1 WR’S…GOTS THE RUN GAME…GOTS THE GOOD JW3…GOTS O LINE PROTECTION…GOTS PASS RUSH…BIG SHAQ, SUH, FAST MOVING TREE TRUNK V…AND FINALLY GOTS SOME DB’S BACK THERE…WHO’D I MISS? OH YEAH, GREAT PLAY CALLING COACHES!!!!!!!

Also, my sincere condolences to Mr. Licht in the loss of his Father.

  29. Jean Lafitte Says:

Drop, Plant, and Throw …works for you Jameis

  30. Reach87 Says:

    Fan=faith and loyalty

  31. Tampabaybucfan Says:

A win is a win…a road win vs NFC Champs…impressive….

  32. alaskabuc Says:

    @kgh4life
I get what you are saying but do you trust this current regime to use picks #1 & 2 on better end products than Ramsey?

  33. jmarkbuc Says:

    Great Win

Great Job JW, but you sure do make it interesting.

Hargreaves still B-L-O-W-S, MJ Stewart let Kupp score that TD by assuming he was gonna run out of bounds..that’s piss poor.

    Great to eat the W!!

  34. DooshLaRue Says:

    Great win Bucs!

Yes, we need secondary help, but if you think a crybaby punk who takes injury because he’s not getting his way is the answer……Ramsey is a head case.

    We don’t need that.

  35. Howard Cosell Says:

Apparently Arians and Bowles are wicked good….(as the Patriot fans would say)

  36. David Says:

With this pass rush, and as much as they like to blitz, it would be worth it to give up a first round pick to get Jalen Ramsey.

A first and a second the following year might be as far as I go though, I would not give up to number ones

  37. ModHairKen Says:

    The Sine Curve season continues.

  38. BucsBandit Says:

    ***** SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT *****

I’ve been a strong critic of Jameis Winston. His career stats are not good in the turnover department. His turnovers and mistakes (like holding the ball too long) are a major concern if the Bucs are going to sign him to an expensive extension.

    HOWEVER…

I would be a hypocrite as one always quoting stats and the “Eye Test” of Winston’s performances to not give him credit for playing well today against the defending NFC Champions.

Jameis played well enough today, for me at least, to give him the benefit of the doubt that MAYBE, just MAYBE, he’s actually improving and has a decent future as the Bucs QB.

For that reason, I will no longer post comments criticizing Winston and will let him play out of the season and let his play speak for itself.

    GO BUCS!

  39. GhostofSchiano Says:

Hhhmmm, never saw GMC rise up in the 4th like suh.

    Ring of honor my @$$

  40. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    Let me just say this:

    #ShowedMe-Didn’tJustTellMe

Like I’ve been saying…all things are possible. Serious props.

Dummies who claim we are not ready for the playoffs? We just beat a team that played in last year’s Superbowl, who were the NFC Champs and who were undefeated coming into this game.

That, my friends, is serious playoff ready.

    Well done!

  41. Buc4evr Says:

When all three phases of the game are working, this team will be competitive. Godwin is a monster and RoJo looked good – the Holding call against Howard was bogus. Props to Jameis and to Gay for bouncing back from last week! Go Bucs!!!!

  42. Love and Warrick Dunn Says:

No complaining in this thread. Enjoy the win, and no pouting. If you are REAL fan, then enjoy the win. One game at a time. GO BUCS.

  43. David Says:

I would disagree with everyone saying the secondary is awful. No they’re not.
They are being asked a lot for a lot of very young players. This defense is isolating them and sending a lot of blitzes. They’re not great, but they’re not awful.

  44. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    @BucsBandit

    Wow.

That was actually pretty classy, bud. Seriously.

  45. kgh4life Says:

The 517 yards the Bucs gave up looks bad, however, the Bucs offense was unstoppable, the Rams had to throw to get back in the game, it’s just padded stats in my opinion. The secondary needs work, but the sky isn’t falling just yet.

  46. SenileSenior Says:

Ok, naysayers, have your say! Go to town. Find something to diss the Bucs for.

    BUCS WIN! BUCS WIN!

  47. AlteredEgo Say: Your comment is awaiting moderation. Says:

Jameis had an EXCELLENT game.. his best game as a Buc ! Keep it rolling boys !

  48. BucDan Says:

The front seven is looking great. Need a playmaker in the back half of the defense like, yesterday.

Winston had 20 completions of 10 yards or more. One stupid play at a dumb time. Good thing the rest of his play covered for it.

Special teams looks very special. And not in the good way. Punt gunners on return team cannot block for squat and I would rather have Bobo making K.O. returns opposed to TJ Logan. He’s shown nothing back there. Made a dumb return today as well.

BUT HOW ABOUT THEM BUCS!!!!???? Feels good to get the win, set a pint a record and the kicker is looking good. Back to back games with 50+ kicks is spectacular. Can’t remember the last time we could make from that distance. Oh yeah, that was with M. Bryant.

  49. DooshLaRue Says:

    Bucs Bandit,

Props for standing up and being accountable.

I’ll wait until I see JW perform CONSISTENTLY before I give him praise.
    ……and I won’t have a problem with it.

  50. Delawest Says:

Hey!! Celebrate run too the plane. And don’t believe the hype go 2-0 in division
Put the newspapers away by Tuesday.

  51. ElioT Says:

    Holy crap.

Total team effort fighting through adversity to get the W.

While we may have a horrific secondary, there is no quit in this team.

So many great plays, against an explosive offense and stout defense.

Perfect DAGGER with Shaq getting the sack/fumble and SUH running that all the way to the house.

We’re typically on the receiving end of that kinda stuff…

    Perfect!

Bruce Arians: “Open bar on the long plane ride home boys!!”

  52. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

On the topic of the secondary?

Plays they game up today were zone defensive plays. I have no idea why Bowles had them playing zone at times. That;s what allowed the Rams to stay in it.

  53. tmaxcon Says:

    go get ramsey

Winston is not the problem that horrid secondary is

813 your boy vh3bust is laughable. they should nickname him “The Chaser” he damn sure can’t cover….

    I actually enjoyed that win….

Suh and Barrett have combined for more impact plays in 4 weeks than Cancer93 had in 9 years with bucs….

that might be the first lead a bucs defense held with lvd on the field. thankfully winston put up 55 to overcome the weak one.

  54. J Says:

We actually have a defensive player that can make a big play when you need it! Pay Barrett!!

  55. DalvinCookRules Says:

Folks who are praising Bowles need to go back and look at the scoreboard and how many yards were given up. Yeah, the Bucs played a helluva game overall and hats off!! …but Bowles & Arians are going to have to clean some things up on defense.

  56. Bobbo Says:

We can’t forget the Rams are the freaking NFC champs, with one of the best backs in the league. I’m ok giving up a ton of yards and points on the road to them. Everyone stepped up and outgunned them. Great win. The air tastes a bit fresher tonight

  57. Bucs YEAR for a playoff Says:

    #BRINGRAMSEYTOTHEBUCS

  58. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    DooshLaRue Says
“I’ll wait until I see JW perform CONSISTENTLY before I give him praise.”

I don’t wish to alarm you…but he HAS been playing consistent since game 2.

  59. JimmyJack Says:

David that passrush absolutely took over the game. They had Rams confused all day long. They were the difference today covering up for a pourous secondary. 60 full minutes of a non-stop passrush!!!!

  60. J Says:

Imo it’s not Bowles that’s the issue, it’s Stewart and Hargreaves.

  61. Darin Says:

Unreal. What a job coaching staff!! Way to bounce back big time and save the season!! Whew what a game. Been watching em since the start and that was one of the best Bucs games Ive watched. Leftwich and crew learned from their bad mistakes last week. Great job! Bring on the Aints is right!

  62. Jean Lafitte Says:

Jameis hitting Evans in stride was glorious!!!

  63. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Props to Shaq Barret, who is now equal to GMC’s best season.

Over the years, I have seen 3-4 Dline guys get huge sack numbers. Could Shaq get 20+?

Lord, imagine if JPP comes back this season. Might be just the push we need to go all the way.

  64. tmaxcon Says:

that secondary is still scary don’t get to excited. go get ramsey bucs can’t figure out first and second round picks anyway just give the jags 1st and 4th and be done with it. licht will just waste those picks anyway.

  65. Nole4JabooANDdBucs Says:

EVERY QB makes a dumb mistake…it is called an interception!🤬SMH

  66. stpetebucsfan Says:

The secondary is improving every week. They are the kiddie corps. We have enough talent we just need to keep working.

Ultimately the defensive line is getting pressure and so we survive.

We drafted the next coming of Ray Lewis at MLB…when he gets healthy…and has another few weeks on his learning curve…we’re going to be scary good on defense.

Remember after the first half brutal schedule it all comes back top us…unless home field advantage is actually disadvantage.

  67. Wesley Says:

Besides the int, and the deep ball thrown out of bounds to a wide open Evans, Winston was great today.

  68. AlteredEgo Say: Your comment is awaiting moderation. Says:

DB’ will tighten up coverage as the season goes on, what is inexcusable is the tackling and lack of hitting

  69. Keke Says:

    Lets trade for Ramsay

  70. Pelbuc61 Says:

Gladly eating crow. Statement win after epic collapse last week. Bucs need to sign Shaq NOW. Dude is a freak. Secondary needs to improve. Rojo is gaining steam and Bucs need to find a receiver to replace Perriman.

  71. JimmyJack Says:

Let’s give it up to our OL!!!!Held one of the best passrushes teams in check and embarrassed that defense!!!! All resulted in some real swag showed by the offense today!!! Something we haven’t seen in a very very long time

  72. BucsBandit Says:

    @Doosh

I am also still very concerned about Winston’s consistency, but as I stated above, I’d be a hypocrite for only criticizing him when he plays badly. He and our team just hung 55 on the defending NFC Champs. Yep, he had a bad pick six, but he played pretty solid the rest of the game against a great Rams team.

So with that being said, he’s showed me enough that he certainly has the potential to get much better, and for that I am not going criticize him like I used to. He’s at least earned the benefit of the doubt to play out this season and PROVE things himself that he deserves to be our QB of the future.

I’ve been a Bucs fan since I was a little kid (40 years ago) and I was at the Super Bowl when we won and cried like a baby. I’ve been a big critic of Jameis for his sloppy turnovers, but as I said, he’s shown me enough this season (at least in large portions of games) that he has the potential to be great, he just now has to go out and prove he can do it consistently.

I’m willing to give him that chance without me adding to any negativity with my comments.

  73. jmarkbuc Says:

Looks like Cichy broke his arm??

  74. Pete I Says:

Great game all around for everyone, even Jameis.

    Entertaining game.

    Finally a fun sunday afternoon.

  75. First Down Tampa Bay Says:

Somewhere the “Realist” is crying himself to sleep tonight in front of his computer desk absentmindedly typing endless exclamation points into a JBF comment box.

  76. MadMax Says:

Well, to the ones who want Ramsey (so do I), the best I can come up with is OJ Howard and a 2nd rounder…Thats it! And thats only because we have such a great offensive weapons case and Brate. But we have to be able to pay Shaq and JW so Ramsey just might not be in the cards when it comes to the pennies.

  77. Wesley Says:

    O-line was tremendous today.

  78. Costa Rica John Says:

Well played game all the way around. I’m even giving the defensive backs a thumbs up. They played great while we got up 21-0 in the first half. After that the Rams starting picking them apart underneath. They never gave up and we won a game no one gave us a chance to win. Shaq Barrett-what can you say? Sign him now to a long term deal. Make sure you extend Chris Godwin too. Ronald Jones-Guys turning into a stud in the backfield. He has to be the number one back going forward. Keep up the winning ways Bucs. Make Tampa proud.

  79. BucsBandit Says:

MadMax – YES, I think we should trade OJ Howard for Ramsey too.

  80. JimmyJack Says:

Winston INT was result of feeling that he had to make the play to win it. Everything he did today still did not feel like enough because our secondary was not able to make a play. He wanted the won as bad as you and I did and tryed to do too much about it. Won’t blame him based off the way it played out.

Now let’s learn and grow from it!!!!!!

    GOOO BUCS!!¡!!!!!!!

  81. Hater Hater Says:

Can we just take a moment to remember Pittshore who is a troll and who should be banned from this site for being a racist?

  82. Coburn Says:

Jameis played a hell of a game. Just keep it up and I’ll be happy to be wrong about him. Not saying he has to throw 4 tds every game.. but yeah. Just some consistency. Mostly clean game. Was waiting for shaq to come up big since a few drives ago. Better late than never.. well minus the deflection and int earlier. People complain about McCoy never getting sacks at crucial times.. well there ya go wih shaq or should I say sack

  83. Bobby M. Says:

Great win by all units! Maybe the Giants loss woke them up but they kept swinging until the bell rang.

  84. Get a clue Says:

We become a contender with Ramsey

  85. orlbucfan Says:

55-40? You sure this wasn’t an Arena Football Game? My boys did their jobs starting with Ungodly who wasn’t 100%. Whitehead was big as was the one and only LVD. Gay settled down AND MADE ALL HIS POINTS! I noticed BA tried to do a 2 minute type call and the refs jammed him (first half). He’s got to get it thru his head about the refs and this team.

  86. DooshLaRue Says:

    Bonzai,

That is true, but I need probably 3 more before I truly believe he has turned the corner.
    I hope he does.

  87. Rick Says:

The secondary got torched but to be fair, Goff threw 67 times!! 28 yards rushing. Boos team win, despite the pick 6, Jameis played well. That three games in a row roughly. He’s changing minds, slowly.

  88. D-Rome Says:

Bucs undefeated on the road! Jameis put together two brilliant games in a row. Shaq Barrett has been amazing and right now is the best defensive player in the NFL.

  89. JimbobBucsFan Says:

“Winston has shown steady improvement in these first three games. TDs 1, 1 and 3. INTs 3, 0 and. 1. Average yards per passing attempt 5.4, 8.3 and 10.3. Quarterback rating 45.5, 103.4 and 112.4.

Let’s watch how the next five games go.”

Today Winston 4 TDs and 1 Int. Season totals 9 TDs and 5 Ints.

Let’s watch how the next four games go.

  90. Tval Says:

@david-Barrett seems to have been suffocated by the scheme he was in.
Some d coordinators just “turn loose” good pass rushers and figure out the rest. You don’t worry if L.T. can drop in a zone. 😃😃

  91. 541 Bucs Says:

Let’s give Gay some love. The kid owned his mistakes, put in the work, and delivered a flawless kicking game that included a 58 yard bomb!

  92. DooshLaRue Says:

Everyone calling for Ramsey is only seeing stats and not factoring in his cancerous, immature behavior.
We’ve purged almost all of that nonsense from our team, why bring it back?

  93. Silent_Partner Says:

Difference from the last few times they’ve played the Rams was coaching. They couldn’t stop the Bucs the last few times they’ve played either, but Koetter, who is about to get fired in ATL btw, had that deer in headlights look all of the time. Even after the pick 6, BA and his staff just had a plan to win as they have every week so far, and the Bucs pulled it out this week. They’ve had a chance to win every game at the end this year. That’s all you can ask for in the NFL for a team that’s lost as much as this franchise has. They can take over first place with a win next week.

  94. DB55 Says:

Oh wow after a 385 yard 4 TD performance he gets the benefit of the doubt. How nice of you massa now go fk yourself you crackhead

  95. jmarkbuc Says:

    Nah DB55

    I’m still waiting on 8 td’s and 800 yards

  96. JameisAlmighty! Says:

    Famous Jameis Winston!!!

  97. ThunderSack Says:

Nobody is giving kudos to Ronald Jones. That guy had a great game. Shame those penalties wiped out his long runs.

  98. Silent_Partner Says:

Oh, and their defense is still doing well. You don’t want to give up points like they have the last two weeks, but this is basically a 7-on-7 passing league where you can barely touch the QB or receivers. They bring heat, they stop the run, and they get turnovers. Even the Ravens defense gets 40 dropped on them in this era like they did today. I love to watch Todd Bowles call defense. He does not back off even when his defense gets burned for a play. Relentless.

  99. Cgmaster27 Says:

Has anybody seen pittstain this week? Anyone ? Oddly silent withour his trolling in here. And doosh, i too will give you props for calling jamies how you see it. Thats constructive criticism my dude and you deserve the respect for saying it.

  100. JameisAlmighty! Says:

    Bring on ole Sassy Ramsey..

  101. A Train Says:

Just walked in the door from a golf tournament, what did I miss?!?!?

  102. Aceofaerospace Says:

I call it like I see it. Winston had a great game. His boneheaded pick 6 could’ve been devastating, but it wasn’t. Great game guys. Well played!

  103. ChanEpic Says:

@bucBandit – real stand up move! I salute you and can’t wait to read more of your takes. It’s totally obvious you’re a fair minded person. I’m really excited about what we saw tonight. A bounce back game that I can’t believe won’t be a real building block type of game going forward. I agree with others, if we had a lock down CB we’d be that much more solid and respectable. OJ for Ramsey seems a bit much to give for my liking though.

  104. Fire the fans Says:

    Peterson not Ramsey

  105. ChanEpic Says:

Oh and one more thing. IMAGINE this defense when Devin white and JPP are back in the lineup. 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾🤯🤯🤯🤯

  106. Bob in Valrico Says:

IMO, this was Jameis’s most complete game as a pro. O line gave him time ,
If they correct a few of those blocking mistakes in the running game They are to go with their protection scheme they will no longer be a team weakness.
Carlton Davis played extremely well and avoided the holding and PI penalties.
To put Hargreaves and Stewart’s mistakes in perspective how often are their
mistakes going to be high lighted by a QB that throws 61 times. I would cut T J Yeldon ,. he doesn’t know when to take a knee. He has no business putting in
the hole like he did late in the game.

  107. Pickgrin Says:

    Nice job Bucs

    Go Cowgirls!

If the Saints lose tonight, the Bucs are in sole posession of 1st in the division due to the division win over Carolina

  108. Mayhem41 Says:

Tval and David, Shaq’s lack of production at Denver was due to playing behind a guy named Von Miller, you may have heard of him. Nice try talking about scheme, that had nothing to do with it.

  109. Doctor Stroud Says:

Bucs with a record setting win! All is right in the world…until the Bucs lose.

  110. TDTB Says:

Winston, o-line, d-line, Godwin had a good game. Rojo has made me eat my words. Need to start him off in first half of games instead of 2nd. They need one good corner, not three pretty good ones. Trade one and next year’s 1st for Ramsey or Howard/Brate and a 2nd.

  111. Colonel Angus Says:

Bucs are threatening to postpone draft talk until Thanksgiving! We can take this division, easiest path to playoffs.

  112. Pewter power Says:

Lol at panicked bucs fans. The sky was falling last week. So annoying to see how into their feelings our fans are, stop riding the roller coaster and just get on board and toot for the team. They ain’t going undefeated and they aren’t going 5-11 like most of you said last week

  113. Keke Says:

This game felt like that high scoring game Stacey King and the Bucs beat the greatest show on Turf during MNF.

  114. TouchDownTampaBay Says:

Welcome back Bandit. Glad to see you are a real fan and can at least admit that he is playing really well right now.

  115. BA FAN Says:

Now do you see why I have said Trust BA he will find a way. He proved it today! And he can go 10-3 and the playoffs this year just like he did the first year at Arizona. He also found a way to fix our OL because they gave great protection today and our OC called a great game!

As if there was any doubt and it wasn’t already obvious what we’ve been dealing with here….

That sure looks like a banning type offense to me Joe…

Time to kick this racist to the curb!

  117. Bucamania Says:

    GREAT win!!!

    Jameis was awesome.
Shaq is a major difference maker.
    Rojo looks like a weapon.
    Chris Godwin is the truth.

Trade OJ Howard?? Are you freakin’ crazy??!! That dude is just getting started in his career and his blocking is one of the reasons our run game and screen passes are working so well. We just hung 55 points on the defending NFC champs but yeah….let’s trade away a big part of that chemistry. Stupidity is rampant on this site.

  119. Kevinator24 Says:

That pick six would have been avoided if he had just passed it to Mike Evans instead. Dude was wide open for the 1st down.

    Jmark

    You forgot 8 for 8. That’s the key 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I heard next week he’s going to the the starting cb opposite Davis too.

  121. Buc727 Says:

    Three words….Jalen Ramsey SUPERBOWL.

  122. Buccfan37 Says:

This game was a 4 hour marathon registering numbers like a pinball machine. Nice pick by the few Buc fans who matter of factly lyrics picked the Bucs to outright win this game.

  123. Patrickbucs Says:

Talib and Peters were pretty sweet today

  124. BetterBucFan Says:

We’re one missed field goal away from being 3-1 and the #3 seed in the NFC

  125. Buczilla Says:

55 points! Second good game in a row for Winston and I hope he keeps it up so we can use next year’s first rounder on defense. Speaking of the defense, they made some plays but gave up way too many big plays. I’ll take the win and the cheesy smile that comes with it until at least next Sunday…

MJ Stewart is a special teamer and a backup MLB/Moneybacker.

Buccannon and MJ Stewart should cross train as MLB’s and SS’s.

MJ Stewart is just too slow to be a starting nickle in the NFL.

Backup nickle. Sure. Starting special teamer. Sure. Backup SS/Moneybacker. Sure.

But starting nickle in the NFL? Sorry bruh.

Jordan Whitehead should start playing nickle back when Justin Evans returns.

Jordan White is fluid enough to be a CB. He hits like a SS. And he has the range of a FS.

Thats why I called him my FAVORITE pick 2 years ago.

Ahead of Rojo, MJ, and Carlton.

I said Jordan Whitehead was our best pick.

    And I was right! Again!

    Teach!

  127. BA FAN Says:

I also had pointed out that our OL could be effective playing in a power blocking scheme using a TE aiding that scheme. BA has now shown just how effective our present OL can be after learning his power blocking scheme. Facing the elite Ram DL which included the top DLineman in the NFL BA’s scheme managed to allow our running backs to run on them and also could keep Jameis upright and safe. And as I also have defended Jameis as being able to play as an elite Franchise QB for us or win a Super Bowl with a team with a great OL. Yesterday with a protecting OL and and a decent running game Jameis showed his ability to do just that! We have our Franchise QB and the Haters need to get behind him as a few have already acknowledged.

  128. BA FAN Says:

However I watched the Saints beat a good Dallas Cowboy team on Sunday night football. A key to their achievement even with a second string QB, was to play dirty and hold the capable Cowboy OLinemen just so they could not reach their linebackers on running plays. You can bet they will try that trick to hold down our RBs too. BA needs to have his retired referee study carefully the film from the Saints’ domination of the Dallas running plays and then send those clips to the refs who will cover our next game at the Saints so they can focus on catching their illegal holding of our OLinemen to try and stop our blockers from getting too near their Linebackers and springing Jones and Barber. Even Dotson held his own against the Rams elite DL and pass rushers.

  129. BA FAN Says:

I agree that Teacherman77 is correct that VHIII and Carleton as well as Stewart at a disadvantage playing against speedy WRs. But they are as fast as our best a of all time Rhonde Barber was but Rhonde was a great playmaker and could stop running backs behind the LOS when he played in the box for us.
However with pressure on the opposing QBs to throw off their timing. In time our speedy and tall & lengthly armed DBs, Bunting (that the Haters call a bust) and Dean will be able to replace VHIII and Carleton; and Ryan Smith will be able to cover the slot WR! Whitehead already, and capable Free Safety Mike Edwards, who keeps improving with NFL game experience, are the starters we need. No way, FSU Fans, do we need to trade for Disgruntled Ramsey and pay him the super salary he is demanding. We will win a Super Bowl next year without hiring another cancer in our locker room like Ramsey, so get over that!
