Another Win On The Back Of Shaq

September 29th, 2019

Inspiration.

Can we just put Shaq Barrett in the Pro Bowl already?

He’s earned it after just four games.

Joe is not kidding. The newcomer linebacker now has nine sacks, three forced fumbles and interception, with one of each going down today against the Rams. He also had a key disruption of a Jared Goff throw that led to an interception.

It was Barrett who had the game-clinching strip-sack of Goff that led to Ndamukong Suh’s scoop-and-score touchdown.

Joe has never seen anything like what Barrett has accomplished in four games with a new team. Hell, nobody has seen anyone do this kind of thing.

It can’t last. Can it? Can Barrett bust the NFL sacks record of 22 1/2 set by Michael Strahan? At this point, Joe can’t put it past him. The Rams knew what kind of a roll Barrett was on entering the game and they still couldn’t stop him.

Joe’s going to savor every minute of this Barrett explosion and appreciate just how rare it is.

Joe will throw back a cold one tonight thinking about Barrett snapping Teddy Bridgewater in half next Sunday.

Sapp would love to see him break Strahan’s record, that’s for sure.

It’s awesome what Shaq is doing. We should sign him for the long haul as soon as possible. Incredible free agent addition. Bowles seems to know exactly how to work with him.

    That’s a real “warrior”!

Can’t believe we used to have to hope and pray for some any kind of “big play” from some d-bag who used to wear #93 in Tampa.

That was such a perfect play to end the game.

    Barrett and Suh baby!

I think Suh ran a 4.4/40 on the scoop and score.

    Great win!!!

Yes Joe we can… And I myself called Shaq a ProBowler midgame too. And unlike our last defensive ProBowler Shaq makes his noise at the times it’s neededost & it changes games.

Call that other dude a 6 timer all you want. Facts matter and none of them proboel performances won any games. Wanna know why fans hated on a good player? Above is the answer.

    Amen Joe!

Good to be a Bucs fan tonite and for the rest of the week. Can we throw a parade for this guy already!? PAY HIM RIGHT FRIGGIN NOW!!!!! And make him a Buc for life!

  6. Brandon Says:

With a 9 sack start, Shaq ONLY has to average just a tad over one sack per game to make a run at the record… only one per game. Insert smiley here. Once in Bucs history has that happened… Sapp with 16.5 in a season. How likely is that to happen? Not good. How likely was it for any Buc to get 10 sacks this season when JPP broke his neck? Not good but Shaq is one away from that so who knows?

    Somewhere Licht is smiling

    GO BUCS

  8. Rodney Munch Says:

JimmyJack – Half the league makes the Pro Bowl anymore – except for David for some unknown stupid reason. Anywho we need him to be an All-Pro, and so far he’s easily been that.

  9. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Last week I cautioned against going bonkers over Shaq too soon.

This week, I’m all in. At this point, they need to extend him as soon as possible, because the price is going up each week!

  10. MadMax Says:

We have our pass rush Joe!! Didnt see it coming in the way you wanted, but there it is baby!!!

  11. Buc1987 Says:

Bring this kind of heat on lesser QB’s and LOOK OUT!

  12. Jmon300@gmail.com Says:

He can do it JPP is coming to help

  13. unbelievable Says:

BSPN already saying he might be DPOY… can’t argue with that!

    Sack Barrett is the man!
