Ozzie Talks Brotherhood Of Ball Busting, Torpedoed Jameis & A Whole Lot More

August 7th, 2019

Joe is an addict when it comes to Bucs passion. And that’s why Ozzie The Sports Junkie is here. This show is not for children, but it’s definitely for grown-ups who want laughs and all kinds of Bucs takes.

Yes, Ozzie is a true radio pro, but much more important, Ozzie bleeds Bucs and has for many decades.

Click above and dive in to Ozzie’s Podcast No. 2. Great fun. Stick it out til’ the end. Ozzie will be coming all season in various forms. Enjoy! And yes, he’ll be coming to the national podcast platforms.

Even after they lifted the blackout rule I would turn on the radio and listen to the announcers while I watched the tv with the valume down.

    Whos Devin James?

  3. MKL Says:

This one weirdly addictive podcast that hopefully will focus more on the Bucs when the games start.

@727: yeah I heard that Devin James blast as well, obviously alluding to the fact that Devin White might be bringing it on the field like Derwin James did last year.

I really enjoyed this podcast. Dude comes across as an old school Buc fan (although he did own moving from Chi-town to here at 13) and dredged up some memories of seasons lost from the past with his rant about the blackouts (trips to Leroy Selmons in Fort Myers were a popular thing to do when the Bucs were last blacked out if one did not have one of those old Radio Shack aerial antennas to point toward the Fox affiliates in either Cape Coral or Ocala). I hope this becomes a regular staple on JBF like Bobby Fenton is. Interesting on his history with Scottie F and actually after hearing Ozzie the second time he does not sound like the late night guy all that much. Scottie F is much ore like the Krusty character on The Simpsons…. Good podcast, very entertaining, Tom McEwan would have enjoyed his Ruskin tomatoes, Zephyrhills eggs and Hardee County orange juice while listening to an old school Buc fan.

BTW 727: I did the same thing with turning down the TV volume to hear Scot Brantley and Deckerhoff call the game. I think a lot of us fans did and many still do, especially when the games were/are called by Fox’s D or F team…..

@FtMyersDave. I lived in Southwest Florida from 1990 to 1994 and was a member of the original “Calusa Crew” fan group. Sam Wyche even flew his plane down to speak with us at the old Potts Spirts Cafe on Daniels. Bad football… good times.

  9. FortMyersDave Says:

I remember the Calusa Crew Rob, I believe a lady named Diane was one of the members and president of your FMY Bucs fan club for a few years but back then I was still living in Hillsborough before I permenently went south to Lee/Charlotte County. Here’s a link that was about the old Bucs Blackout tour back in 2010 that made the trek to Leroy Selmons by the Bell Tower. I believe Steve I. is quoted in it.

You were right about bad football and good times, man Sam (5 dash 2 ) Wyche used to lay out some zingers on his Coaches show on WTOG back then. I guess we can give him and Rich McKay credit for grabbing Hardy Nickerson and drafting Sapp, Brooks and Lynch and as a result gave Tony Dungy the components to put together that amazing D….

I think it’s a fine program from a nice young man .I also like Kevin James..He was very entertaining in that picture that he played a heavy mall law enforcement officer…I do not approve of the foul language tho ,that has been an ongoing issue with him since grade school when a skirmish broke out over a fixed kickball game at recess ..He apparently was on the take and we were forced to relocate throughout his upbringing..this seems like a good place for him to do his cute Lil show while the new meds work into his system
    He’s a good boy people ….Sincerly Ozzie’s mon…
