Bucs-Cowboys, Open Thread

August 29th, 2019

Comment all game with fellow Bucs fans and a few haters thrown in. It’s fun. It’s annoying. It’s tradition!

The Bucs are in Dallas tonight wrapping up the too-long preseason.

Play nice, please. And stick around after the game for various happenings and thoughts from Joe.

It’ll be fun to watch Testaverde’s kid play

  2. Greg Says:

    Gotta love Jerry

  3. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

I’m looking forward to seeing Testaverde play too.

  4. Wesley Says:

That photo is hilarious and gross.

  5. Wesley Says:

Nervous for Vinny JR hope he does well.

  6. Pittsshore Says:

Ryan Russel should of hung in there with the Bucs. He would of loved our new male cheerleader. Heck, JW may have even groped him.

  7. Rod Munch Says:

Tanner Hudson, if he plays tonight, should end the preseason as the NFL’s reception leader.

Also if Griffin plays, he’s pretty much assured being the leading (yardage) passer – although I don’t know why you’d play him. Last year Griffin was #3rd in passing yards in the preseason.

Last years winners in both categories were Tyler Bray at QB, and Javon Wims in receiving yards.

In 2017, the leading QB was Matt Simms, and leading WR was, Dede Westbrook – who is a good player. Strangely, as I don’t remember this, Winston was the #5 passer in 2017, two spots behind Gabbert.

In 2016, Matt Barkley, with Arizona, was the leading QB, and Robbery Anderson was the leading WR, again, another good player.

So anywho, none of that means much, but thought I’d share.

  8. AlteredEgo Says: Your comment is awaiting moderation. Says:

    Jameis is starting I heard

  9. Jim Says:

Griffin stolen by the Colts, Gabbert out for the season after he falls out of bed and goes into extended concussion protocol, meanwhile Jameis breaks his hand in an awkward grope “hassle”. Testaverde steps in and throws for 5000 yards. Named MVP and Bucs go to the play-offs…

  10. Dewey Selmon Says:

Jameis Winston approves of that picture.

  11. MadMax Says:

Hah!….hilarious pic and comments! And im off work tomorrow, yay me!

    Drink uP!

  12. unbelievable Says:

    Nice little gift right there

  13. MadMax Says:

    no td….out of bounds

  14. SB Says:

    I will join you Max!

  15. Rod Munch Says:

That was a pretty fantastic catch by the corner, didn’t notice it live, but on the replay he really made a nice grab and then quickly got to his feet.

  16. MadMax Says:

what? oh well, looked out to me

  17. SB Says:

I see you UB! We have 10 in the League right now.
    Spread the word brother!

  18. MadMax Says:

Haha, i hear ya SB….mule drink for me…angry mule (tekillya)

  19. SB Says:

I can’t get the game but did I just see correctly on the Gamecast that S. Bunting tried to play WR and Griffin threw a pick?

  20. SB Says:

Max get in the Pickem league!

  21. MadMax Says:

Griffins pick was tipped….didnt notice who the wr was.

  22. MadMax Says:

Na, i rarely have time for things like that…working a lot plus home improvements.

  23. SB Says:

    All good.
    Go Bucs!!!
I have home improvements I need to get on too but I do it for a living so I don’t want to work when I get home from work. 🙂

  24. Rod Munch Says:

Why are they punting – kick a FG- I want to see that Gay kicker nail a deep one.

  25. Tony Says:

Where is our rookie RB Bruce Anderson?

  26. Rod Munch Says:

SB – I think the WR he trying to throw to was Bobo, but not sure – but the WR had nothing to do with the play, the ball was a clean tip and the corner made a great catch. The WR couldn’t have turned around or done anything there.

  27. Rod Munch Says:

Nice pressure there, our scrub d-line is looking OK.

  28. MadMax Says:

O connor looking good….Barrett forced fumble while o connor was bull rushing….nice turnover

  29. Destinjohnny Says:

Grif is as good as jameis

  30. Tampabaybucfan Says:

WTF is with all these 1st down running plays……predictable…..needs to stop.

  31. Easy Says:

Hudson is a ball magnet. TD!!

  32. unbelievable Says:

Of course it was Hudson. Nice

  33. JimmyJack Says:

Tuned in late. Is Justin Evans playing?

  34. MadMax Says:

Dare slipped in protection and got Griffin sacked.

  35. MadMax Says:

    TD TB! HUDSON!!!!!

  36. Buccaroo Says:

no running lanes so far … can’t wait to see how Bruce Anderson responds.

  37. StonedBuc Says:

    Shaq barret looking insane tonight

  38. Easy Says:

    O’Connor has been impressive

  39. Easy Says:

LMAO Griffin got some nimble feet!!

  40. unbelievable Says:

    Griffin with some moves.

  41. Rod Munch Says:

Griffin doing his best Winston impression by staying alive there.

  42. MadMax Says:

    Spence – O Connor sack….

  43. JimmyJack Says:

Don’t know what these people are watching complaining about depth. The OL is for sure an issue but other then that these guys look good.

  44. MadMax Says:

Dang, Griffin was awesome there…..(my feed is a minute behind)

  45. unbelievable Says:

    2 penalties in a row, c’mon youngins…

  46. Rod Munch Says:

Wait, Arians is calling the offensive plays tonight? Is that just to shake off the rust in case he needs to?

  47. Rod Munch Says:

I wonder if the Bucs get three OL off waivers, I wouldn’t be shocked.

  48. BUC CHEEKS Says:

It would be sooooo BUCS to cut Tanner Hudson, DONT EVEN THINK ABOUT IT!!!!!! HE’s EARNED IT!!!!!!! YES I’M PISTOL WHIPPING THE!!!!!!!!!!! BUTTON

  49. unbelievable Says:

I dunno, I think 70% of the league is looking for o-linemen…

  50. Dewey Selmon Says:

Arians is calling play and Leftwich is getting SF ready. Arains said he has done this for years.

  51. BUC CHEEKS Says:

    It’s MILLER TIME

  52. MadMax Says:

The knock on Hudson is his lack of blocking skills…..but his magnetic hands should override that.

  53. JimmyJack Says:

It’s fun chatting with y’all but hopefully this is my last open thread. I miss too Munch action when trying to type.

Only come here during regular season to went when we are getting our ass kicked so I hope I won’t be here at all.

  54. unbelievable Says:

I think Hudson would be our 4th TE. Who else would there be?

  55. MadMax Says:

1st qtr Dallas offense stats…. 3 yards!!!!!!! LOL

  56. DooshLaRue Says:

    Anywho……
I think Griffin is a solid QB.

    Anywho.

  57. Rod Munch Says:

Wow, you learn that in like middle school – you never tip the ball in the air as a receiver.

  58. MadMax Says:

Man, Griffin has some great touch on his throws.

  59. Buc believer Says:

That INT was all on Miller

  60. Buc believer Says:

    Miller sucks

  61. JimmyJack Says:

Blocking can I prove over time and hard work. TEs with pass catching skills like Tanner are rare. Pass catching/route running is much harder to get better at. Letting Tanner go to another team is foolish and short sighted. I would not be happy.

  62. DooshLaRue Says:

Anywho, it was announced last week that BA would be calling plays tonight.
So, anywho, I like the calls so far.

    Anywho.

  63. unbelievable Says:

Miller not getting out of the dog house like that

  64. Rod Munch Says:

Bucs should consider trying to trade Brate for an offensive lineman – they could probably get someone of value. I’d hate to lose Brate, but Hudson plays the same role as a guy who can catch everything but can’t block. I’d still have liked to have seen Hudson playing with the 1st team to see if he can get open against starting defenses, but his hands are A+++.

  65. Easy Says:

That would’ve been a tough catch for Miller to make.

  66. Todd Says:

Bubble wrap Griffin at this point please.

    Give us the Vinny-Meat!!!

  67. unbelievable Says:

Again I really don’t think Tanner Hudson is going anywhere. We need 4 TEs on the roster:

    1. OJ
    2. Brate
    3. Auclair
    4. Hudson? who else would it be?

  68. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

To be fair, Griffin made a bad throw too.

  69. BUC CHEEKS Says:

Michael Irving said it was Griffins fault, fact… You got put it on him

  70. JimmyJack Says:

GRRR stop saying Anywho……It sounds soft. As soft as ice cream GRRR

  71. Barack's Crack Pipe Says:

I love that picture of Jerry Jones. It always gives me an ego boost. I figure if a raggedy looking fart like him can make that chic giggle like that, I’ve got it made. I imagine that he is broke like me, and it all feels real.

  72. Buc4evr Says:

Miller may be gone, RG4 needs chance in a regular season game. Hudson will be in the rotation. Spence may not be on the roster. O’Connor looks impressive.

  73. BUC CHEEKS Says:

    Watching on Gamepass up north

  74. Lamarcus Says:

Ok Griffin throws like a college Qb I see why he has not seen a real game time

  75. Rod Munch Says:

Anywho is a word all the kewl kids use, get with the times JJ.

  76. BUC CHEEKS Says:

I feel Hudson could be split out too… Size and hands, mismatch!!!

  77. BUC CHEEKS Says:

Anywho Sounds like something Mr. Garrison would say

  78. JimmyJack Says:

Unbelievable………Nobody has stepped up to compete with Tanner Hudson. Legget, I think, would be next on depth charts. Tanner easily has him beat.

The only question is to keep 4 TEs or just 3.

  79. unbelievable Says:

who’s #51? he missed badly on that tackle

  80. Jonathan Limpchimpi Says:

And the Brady comparisons die down…

  81. JimmyJack Says:

Just testing your sensitivity. You passed.

I hate sensitive football fans GRR

  82. mark2001 Says:

Don’t we have the 5th pick of O linemen put on waivers?

  83. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

I really don’t get that challenge. Unless its to a rest for the defense.

  84. Rod Munch Says:

Griffin’s throw wasn’t good, but you don’t bat the ball into the air like that, it’s one of the first things you learn playing football.

For Miller, I can’t imagine anyone claiming him, so he’ll get through to the PS.

  85. JimmyJack Says:

    Is Justin Evans playing?

  86. unbelievable Says:

@JJ yea I agree. Probably correct on Legget being next.

I think with the skillset of OJ and Brate we will run enough 2 TE sets that they have to keep 4 on the roster.

At the same time, we also need to keep a lot of LBs & DBs for this defensive scheme…

  87. Rod Munch Says:

BUC CHEEKS – Mr Garrison is tough brute man, so I take that as a compliment.

JJ – Of course I passed, I wrote the rules.

  88. Buc believer Says:

    Cichy!!! What a SACK!!!

  89. JimmyJack Says:

Dang how come when I say the name of safety #21 I get moderated? Seems like a very strange keyword to filter. He is a player on our team afterall

  90. Rod Munch Says:

WOW, that has a hell of a sack there.

  91. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Rod Munch, I think Miller could make it thru waivers too.

  92. DooshLaRue Says:

Anywho is softer than ice cream.

  93. Doctor_berto Says:

    Cichy looks great

  94. MadMax Says:

    Cichy Great sack!!!!!!!!

  95. Todd Says:

    @mark2001–

Yes, we have the 5th pick. We won’t claim an OL though. We’re looking for another corner so that we can keep a dozen of them. 😉

  96. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    Vinny!

  97. Rod Munch Says:

Cichy is probably playing himself onto the team. I thought he was a fringe guy they’d put on the PS again while he got healthy, but with those plays there, he’s gonna be on peoples radar since he only slipped in the draft because of health.

  98. Rod Munch Says:

This is emotional for me, my first game I ever went to was Testaverde running for over 100 yards.

  99. JimmyJack Says:

Cinchy doing exactly what you are supposed to do in this game.

He .aybe just made the game in this half.

But where is Bond? Not in again? He was our best defender in the Dolphins game I thought. Now I’m wondering if he will make the team. Wonder if there is an off field issue. Or is he injured?

  100. MadMax Says:

    TESTA IS IN!

  101. Ndog Says:

It is just me or does Spence suck out loud? I mean every play he just runs into the tackle and does nothing.

  102. JimmyJack Says:

    Team*** not game

  103. Rod Munch Says:

This Testaverde is a lot smaller than the old Testaverde.

  104. Rod Munch Says:

    OMG, FATHER LIKE SON!

    Testaverde with the overthrow!

  105. Easy Says:

Swear I saw Josh Freeman in a Cowboys jersey

  106. JimmyJack Says:

Teste get butttight. Ahhh the memories

  107. unbelievable Says:

    Nice ST tackle from SMB

  108. Rod Munch Says:

    Q105 joke…

Ronald Reagan sent Vinny Testaverde to Panama…

    Why?

Because he wanted him to overthrow Noriega.

  109. JimmyJack Says:

Ndog Spence made one play……On the play where Barrett made a better one.

  110. JimmyJack Says:

Our punter and blocking unit looks better tonight…….Kinda nice to see it be a problem and get fixed the next game.

  111. Rod Munch Says:

Well Cichy not looking so god right there – then followed it up by missing the RB in the hole…

  112. DooshLaRue Says:

    Vinny!!!!

  113. Buc believer Says:

Which Testaverde is playing???? Senior or Junior??? They both throw the same bad throws.

  114. Rod Munch Says:

HOLY JESUS! This is like reliving my childhood!

  115. Rod Munch Says:

    Looking good kid!

    https://pbs.twimg.com/media/EDLg_l_WkAA-1HE?format=jpg&name=medium

  116. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Sr is sitting at home thinkink that brought back memories. Lol

  117. unbelievable Says:

You can challenge that now under the new rule?

    JFC

  118. Rod Munch Says:

No love for my old Q Morning Zoo joke, very disappointing. I’ve kept that in my pocket for over 30-years just waiting for a reason to retell it and it gets nothing…

  119. Rod Munch Says:

I think coaches have been challenging everything to show how stupid this new rule is.

  120. unbelievable Says:

    good call by the ref.

Lots of contact but neither guy interfered with the other beyond what is allowed. Just got tangled up at the end.

  121. Rod Munch Says:

Tanner Hudson played QB I believe at some point, I wonder if they put him in after Testaverde’s 4th INT. I think Tanner was also a kicker, so I’d get him some work there as well.

  122. Barack's Crack Pipe Says:

    Rod Munch Says:
“Anywho is a word all the kewl kids use, get with the times JJ.”
    .
    .

Definitely Mr “scissor me b[]tch” Garrison. Mmmm Kay?

  123. Wesley Says:

    Dean sucks.

  124. Scotty in Fat Antonio Says:

Was that the Conte Stiff Arm Cichy got?

  125. unbelievable Says:

Missed tackles left and right. Shifty

  126. Rod Munch Says:

Ugh… Cichy has missed a lot of tackles – he looks like Joe Dirt out there. He made that big sack, and a good play after that, but there’s no way he’s on the field with all those missed tackles. Still might be a PS guy afterall.

  127. DooshLaRue Says:

Maybe if it was a ZETA7 reference it would have gotten some love Rod.

    Anywho…..
    Moving on…

  128. unbelievable Says:

Getting a penalty and injured on the same play.

    Double whammy

  129. Rojas Says:

How does Dean suck? Am I missing something. Bunting is the one playing terrible

  130. Ndog Says:

How does Dean suck he literally has given up nothing easy. Now if you want to say some in sucks right now look at Murphy-Bunting. That dude is getting roasted basically every play right now.

  131. JimmyJack Says:

Yep I spoke to early on Cinchy. Went from stud to dud in two drives.

But what happened to Bond? Or is he in and I missed him?

  132. Rojas Says:

    NDog

    Agreed.

  133. AfroBuc Says:

Stop with the Cichy love. I just watched this guy whiff on five different open field tackles. If Arians loves him so much, let him join the coaching staff, not the 51.

  134. JimmyJack Says:

Clutch time for VincentT coming up in the one-minute drive.

  135. Rod Munch Says:

JimmyJack – I haven’t seen Bond in the game, I think he’s considered a non-scrub at this point and has made the team.

  136. JimmyJack Says:

Dude what the heck. That ball didn’t go through the uprights. Refs botched it. Dallas awarded 3 free points.

  137. JimmyJack Says:

Munch Bond wasn’t in last game either. Seems very strange for a backup. Unless he’s injured Im not sure he makes the team now. Wondering if there is a off-field issue.

  138. Rod Munch Says:

Come on Bruce, let Testaverde rip the ball here.

  139. Easy Says:

Bond shouldn’t make the team over Cichy

  140. Buc believer Says:

Again you can tell that that is a Testaverde playing… dude sucks

  141. JimmyJack Says:

I’m amazed how much Junior resembles his dad. I think they even brought back Beckles to wiff on blocks for him too.

  142. JimmyJack Says:

Easy. Bond won’t make the team over Cinchy. Different positions.

  143. Rod Munch Says:

JimmyJack – I’m pretty sure Bond played in the last game, he was also on Auman’s chart as a safe roster guy after the last game.

  144. Rojas Says:

Got to love how honest coach is.

  145. Rod Munch Says:

JimmyJack – Bond plays both inside and outside LB, which is why he’s considered a lock. Not sure why you guys are so down on him, he’s a decent backup, has much better size/speed than Cichy, and is a better 3-4 fit. He’s not a starter by any means, but he’s decent depth. Cichy just reminds me way too much of Joe Dirt, and not just because he’s white, he seems like a guy who, if he was just a half step faster, would be somebody. We shall see, but Cichy probably needs some more time to get healthy.

  146. Rojas Says:

So is it safe to say Spence won’t be making the team ?

  147. Tampabaybucfan Says:

I’m not sure we can keep both Bond and Cichy……will have to go with only 5 WRs and 1 less Olineman…..

  148. Rod Munch Says:

This Channel 8 news set looks pitiful, what is their budget, like $130? I know it’s a hard time for the fake news to make a living, but this is just sad.

  149. Rojas Says:

Or were they fighting for the starting spot ?

  150. Tampabaybucfan Says:

Is Testeverde getting hazardous duty pay?…….2nd half will be brutal….

  151. mark2001 Says:

Don’t know where Cinchy is in the scheme of things. But he has come off a major injury and might still be in a little rusty recovery mode. Only Bruce knows, as he has seen him regularly.

  152. JimmyJack Says:

I’m was actually very excited about Bond after he showed up in that Miami game. Like I said I thought he was best defender on the field that game.

My only concern was not seeing him play. Usually when that happens it’s a bad sign. But you said he was in last week so I must have just missed him.

  153. Barack's Crack Pipe Says:

I like Ronde, but he needs to start paying attention to what he sounds like on air. Lately he has had a habit of squeaking like an unfortunate Bryant Gumbel impersonator. I don’t want to see Ronde go out like that, man.

  154. Rod Munch Says:

BTW, the hurricane models are doing what I suspected all along, they’re moving the hurricane north and starting the curl out to sea. Will be close and since it’s slowed down we won’t know until probably late tomorrow. But anyways, even in the most likely worst case scenerio it will be like Jeanne in 2004, which means some downed trees and some trailers without a roof in Lakeland. But Jeanne did suck because we lost power for 2 days and I missed the Bucs @ Oakland game, but I think we lost, so oh well.

  155. SOFIERCE Says:

    @Rod Munch

Meanwhile over at the Alex Jones studio, 9 more OLED panels are being installed.

What is wrong with Scotty Miller? Seems to be a bit lost… as if the game is too big for him.

  156. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Cichy makes nice tackles…when he doesn’t miss them. If they think he can make it thru waivers, I would move him to PS. Truth is, Bond is better…right now.

  157. JimmyJack Says:

TBBF I know Rod Munch just said Bond can play both ILB and OLB but in this defense they are using him primarily as a OLB. Cinchy can only play ILB to the best of my knowledge.

Because of that it won’t be a issue keeping both of them and having roster space.

Cinchy might have a tougher battle. Minter is defientally ahead of him.

Bond might be our best Special Teams tackler. And I could make a case that he is better then Spence.

  158. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    JimmyJack, good point.

Minter is better at this point. That doesn’t mean I think Cichy is a bust…just that he isn’t ready yet.

  159. Rod Munch Says:

    Nice kick by the Gay!

  160. Bradley Says:

Hard to call anybody a busy after round 4. But ya. Cichy needs to get his arms wrapped and pulling harder

    PS WE HAVE A KICKER

  161. Rod Munch Says:

Cichy was what, a 5th or 6th rounder? You can’t be a bust once you’re in the 4th round or later.

  162. Wesley Says:

Would have won another 5 games last year with this defense.

  163. Bradley Says:

    I agree munch.

  164. Bradley Says:

I’ll be honest. Our second team def was really impressive. Besides two plays

  165. Rod Munch Says:

Why is Tanner Hudson still in the game?

  166. Bradley Says:

Hudson should have been sitting since he scored for sureeeeee

  167. Rod Munch Says:

    TESTAVERDE WITH THE TD!!!!!

Oh wait, the refs take it off the board.

It’s like 1988 with Ray Perkins on the sideline.

The same Ray Perkins that Arians worked for at Alabama.

  168. JAB83 Says:

Wow… @Joe, I know you wont let me post here anymore for no good reason… ala Michael Bennett…

But checkout that Jason Whitten interview on the Dallas broadcast… Talk about a super start talen!!!

Question, are any of.are guys at TE like JW? (Jason Whitten not Winston)

  169. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

That penalty was worth it just to hear Arians cussing out the refs, lol.

Surprised he didn’t get ejected, lol.

  170. JimmyJack Says:

Rod Munch Tanner is in there so we can win. Plus his coaches may want him to work on his blocking. He has done his job in that department on this drive.

  171. Bradley Says:

Ya cichy just needs to get better and staying fast when diving for the tackle instead of missing a step before and trying to hard to judge a jump tackle. Stay on the guy.

  172. JimmyJack Says:

Ejected? Lovie Smith rules are gone bro.

  173. unbelievable Says:

    lol

  174. JAB83 Says:

Why am I nog allowed to post here???

  175. Rod Munch Says:

If the Bucs don’t collapse they’ll finish the preseason 3-1… the same record they had in the 2002 preseason!

  176. SFNJBucs Says:

Man, Licht looks like Fred Flintstone.

  177. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    JimmyJack Says
“Ejected? Lovie Smith rules are gone bro. ”

I meant for verbal assault of a ref. It’s happened before.

  178. Buc4evr Says:

Bruce Anderson looks like a power runner. Wonder if he can make the practice squad?

  179. Wesley Says:

    So Shrek is our g.m..

  180. unbelievable Says:

Last time we went 3-1 in the preseason was 2008. We ended up 9-7.

That was considered underperforming at the time. Pretty sad that 9-7 is an optimistic ceiling for this team now.

  181. BuccYa Says:

We’re good at taking out head coaches on the sidelines.

  182. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Rod, we beat the San Fran 49ers in our first playoff game that year too.

    31-6.

    🙂

  183. Buccaroo Says:

BAIII has some talent. They’ll try to stash him on the PS but I bet he won’t clear waivers.

  184. Rod Munch Says:

When Dirk had that brush-up with Payton, he could have owned him had he said in the most game, “Good luck in the playoffs Sean, break a leg”…

But instead Dirk just acted like a big p and said good luck. What an embarrassment.

  185. JimmyJack Says:

Softball questions are not appreciated. Are they even going to ask about LVD or VitV or JPP?

  186. Rod Munch Says:

Do they still make football follies films?

  187. JimmyJack Says:

Ray’s just took the lead back after yet another bullpen blownjob

  188. Rod Munch Says:

Bruce Anderson looks pretty slippery, but he’s not shown anything this preseason before this game that would make anyone even consider picking him up. He’s a safe PS player. He seems kind of generic to me, but haven’t seen a ton and I know there was a lot of hype with the fantasy football nerds about him.

  189. Rod Munch Says:

Jesus Christ, only a Testaverde could put the ball in a place where even Tanner Hudson didn’t have a chance.

  190. Wesley Says:

FGS let Vinny throw on first or second down.

  191. JimmyJack Says:

Is the Bucs RB stable is that good that other teams start putting our practice squad guys on their active roster we should be pretty stoked.

Unfortunately that’s not the case. Far from it.

  192. Rod Munch Says:

Testaverde has a 16.7 QBr… very close to the magical number 14!

  193. JimmyJack Says:

I wanna see one last Testerverde pick……For lod times sake please.

  194. JimmyJack Says:

Or another Matt Gay FG……….Need to hear Chris Myers say “it’s in there, it’s up there, it’s through there!!!!!”

Boy I’m going to miss those riveting calls.

  195. JimmyJack Says:

Dude sounds like a displaced baseball announcer. He must not realize football is an exciting sport by nature and doesn’t need catch phrases to jazz up the broadcast.

  196. Rod Munch Says:

I HATE Chris Meyers, that bore, he’s make me so ANGRY!!!!… GRRRR!!!!!!!

  197. Rod Munch Says:

Meyers just spent 2 mins saying all the jersey numbers of Vinny and his kid…

  198. LongSeason Says:

This team looks far better than in any game. Defense looks so much better coached and prepared. Offense is doing their part. Cut down on penalties and the INTs then things could be looking up.

Shows just how great Mike Smith wasn’t.

  199. Rod Munch Says:

I voted Testaverde as player of the game.

He was getting 100% of the vote.

    All 2 votes.

  200. Rod Munch Says:

It’s hard to read a lot into the defensive play as offenses are not gameplanning. It does look much better, but need to keep expectations in check, those are some very young defensive backs and if that pressure doesn’t get there quickly they’re going to give up some big plays. I have no issue with that since I understand the alternative, but people will be whinning and complaining about it.

  201. Rod Munch Says:

If the Bucs hold on here they’ll be the (preseason) NFC South champs!

  202. WeeManOfScots Says:

Hey Rod..I do remember the Q Zoo very well..I can also go way back with Tales From Shaniqua…not sure of you remember that one..

    ——-

On that note…Cichy makes the practice squad…

  203. Rod Munch Says:

Fun fact: The Q Morning Zoo format that was a plague on America was started in Tampa, on Q105, with Scott Shannon and Cleveland Wheeler.

  204. gilhealy Says:

I can see Anderson taking Ellingtons spot

  205. WeeManOfScots Says:

I remember! @ Rod..They had the Bo Jackson ” The Mind is a Terrible Thing” commercial…oh..I miss it..lol..

  206. Rod Munch Says:

For as useless and bad as this preseason as been, the end of all of these games have been very entertaining.

  207. JimmyJack Says:

    Preseason is over baby!!

  208. Rod Munch Says:

Barack’s Crack Pipe – Ron and Ron (and Fez) weren’t Q-Zoo, they did their show on 95 WYNF, they were pretty much the anti-Q-Zoo. Ron and Fez went on to have an amazing career and Ron Bennington is still doing some great radio.

That 95 WYNF upside down billboard advertising campaign was super effective since I still clearly remember the call letters today and I almost never listened to the station.

    Anywho, back to football.

  209. WeeManOfScots Says:

    Oh yeah @BaracksCrackPipe..LOL!!

Amen to the end of Pre season..Let the real games begin..and hockey starts up really soon too!..

signed: The artist formerly knowned as Lifey..I needed a new nick..I use to call hubby Wee Man of Scotts..

  210. BucemBruski Says:

Oh I see that one so I’ll try my initial post again. If we are not sure if a player will be scooped up off waivers before we can get them on our practice squad then they’re probaly not getting picked up. Bruce the 3rd(also my name) probaly makes it to the squad. If we get rid of Tanner Hudson hes good as gone.

  211. Rod Munch Says:

Matt Bryant is going to be resigned…

He will never go away, ever. The curse of Matt Bryan will be with us until we move to a new building.

  212. BucemBruski Says:

No we just needed a new kicker named Matt to end the curse. Even if he is gay. Sorry Russell. Jk of course no hate.

  213. BucemBruski Says:

Go Bucs!!!! Now that I got a browser I can post I’m not going anywhere. Let the debate begin. So if you name call or show hate I wont respond but Im here to spit my football knowledge. And realest stop repeating yourself at the end of every post lmao. I’m just glad I can be part of the discussion I’ve been reading for a while. GI BUCS!!!!!

  214. BucemBruski Says:

Why is every post I make in moderation? I understand keeping it clean and yeah I keep it clean and friendly. Just wondering Joe. Love the site.
