“Ebb & Flow Of Practice Was Outstanding”

July 29th, 2019

More happiness is flowing this evening from Bucco Bruce Arians.

Joe asked the head coach yesterday about the pace and energy and in practice. And the new leader of the Bucs was all fired up about consistently finishing practice early, which means the team is flowing well and getting through its scripted work.

Today, Arians was happy again about having little more competitive practice, as in the offense had more victories, even though it’s hardly firing on all cylinders.

The ebb and flow of practice was outstanding, Arians said. “Today, the offense bounced back really, really well. There’s a lot of really good plays out there.”

Joe wonders if that had something to do with the air conditioned conditions inside the Glazer Shed, as lightning again thwarted practice time in the elements.

Regardless, it’s a happy face on the chieftain of One Buc Palace. Arians seems to act like America’s Quarterback, Jameis Winston, can do no wrong, and the young defense is very lively and is getting its hands on lots of balls. Lots of them.

Psychology. Motivation. Carrot and stick. Building confidence. Earning trust.

This is how Coach Arians coaches.

Sounds like defense and offense played better today

Every year its the same blah blah. We are going vs ourselves here so for every win there is a loss.

Joe you got way too used to watching Jameis and company shred up Mike Smith’s sorry excuse for a defense.

This is how I want my team to look in the offseason, balanced. When was the last time we could say this defense was as good or nearly as good as our defense?

he KNOWS what Jameis will learn when tested like this. AWEsome coach who’ll make these guys a team again. Do you want picks in preseason or regular? Koetter was trash. Bruce is schooling Jameis and he’s an eager pupil. Hop on the boat…before it’s too crowded. 😁

nearly as good as our offense?*

@tval: your comment reminds me of this kid in high skl who wanted so badly to understand the curriculum but was lacking the brain power needed to learn. He was well liked and had charisma and strong interpersonal skills but eventually had to drop out of school. He had a very difficult time dealing with the pressure associated with taking tests. JW is the same exact person but was gifted as an athlete. To that end, his athleticism often over shadowed his obvious weaknesses. He will never become a successful NFL QB due to these same weaknesses

I think BA is trying to build confidence in a deeply demoralized team. I expect in preseason he will be a lot more critical of players performance and when the real bullets fly he will hold players fully accountable. I like what I see so far.

The OL is going to be our Achilles heel.

@ Pittsshore you are such an idiot. Here’s a quote for you “According to multiple reports, Winston graduated high school with a 4.0 GPA, juggling multiple honor’s courses, and being one of the most highly recruited athletes in his class- in 2 sports.”. Also this from the recruiter of Stanford when asked if they accept any athlete… “We start with the transcript, said former recruiting coordinator Mike Sanford for the ivy league university, we will not watch film until we have a transcript, because we don’t want to waste our time.”

This Defense will give any QB big trouble. Give Jameis good protection up front and he can carve up the opposition with the talent we have in our WRs and TEs. Our Defense will give us short fields and give Jameis a lot more series to run his Offense and that will beat a lot of teams and keep our defense fresh to finish games and Win and we’ll be able to kick 58 yard field goals to take other games.

Seeing a little bit of yourself in Winston?

    Methinks you project too much

“lacking the brain power needed to learn.”

You do know that JW was offered a full tide to Stanford which is the top university in the USA. Not a school for dummies as you would suggest.

  14. WestChap Says:

Man, if only… JW would have lit up the PAC12, Rose Bowl, etc and still landed a Heisman at Stanford. However, he might have gained a little more maturity too… only so many life skills on offer at Free Shoes U. Just kidding… sort of.

  15. TOM Says:

Can’t wait to see JW eat some W’s.
