Bucs Craft Another $3 Million In Cap Space

June 18th, 2019

Bucs GM Jason Licht is maneuvering

This is a prime example of why Joe always says teams can find ways to find money if they really want to.

There’s always wiggle room in the discussion of how much salary cap space can be made available.

Today, Tom Pelissero of NFL Media reported that Mike Evans and the Bucs turned $4 million of his $17 million in remaining base salary this season into a bonus. Hence, the salary cap hit on that cash will be spread across the 2019 cap and the next three seasons. Poof, the Bucs made $3.2 million in new space this year.

Guys like Will Gholston, Caleb Benenoch, Evan Smith, Ryan Smith and other potential salary cap casualties are breathing a little easier this morning.

The Bucs have yet to sign savior rookie linebacker Devin White to his fat rookie deal.

If only Licht had been this frugal and wise handling the G’Boyz cap dollars all along….everything is hanging in the balance this season and under the off season veil optimism is the brutal reality of the talent on this team….particularly the starting talent on OL & DL and the back up talents…”There Ain’t No Hope in Football”…I am depressed

  2. Easy Says:

    “Savior” rookie linebacker lol.

  3. Maze Says:

    Will Gholston is a starter

  4. HFXBUC Says:

The can now easily sign White and Dean and still have a 3 million kicking around while they wait for E. Smith to fail his physical and Gay to beat out Santos and add in 7 million while JPP sits on NFI and they will have about 14 million in salary cap available when training camp starts. They are fine heading into the year.

  5. Sarasota Garey Says:

Moves will still have to be made, in order for us to be under the cap.

  6. Mike Johnson Says:

I don’t care if JC himself is the coach, Gholston ain’t the answer at DE.
A good GM would have found ways long ago to create salary cap space.
Note that I said, A good GM.

    Go Bucs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  8. gotbbucs Says:

Gholston will finally be playing in a defensive scheme that suits him. He’s not going anywhere.

  9. Greg Says:

I dont see how Allen is ever going to be effective as a pass rusher. He never was. I agree this might be the right system for Gholsten but hes no spring chicken and costs too much. I love JPP but makes no sense for him not to be cut when he wont be a factor this year and we need to save the 7 million by cutting him. We need to clear space so we can move quickly on players on cut days.

  10. TexBuc Says:

In our 4-3 past, Gholston seemed to be more effective when he got lined inside as a DT. Our new single gap 3-4 playing DE is more like playing inside as a DT. I believe he makes the final cut and we will see more production for him this upcoming season.

  11. BA FAN Says:

Good. I have been saying this was a good way to pay all the rookies. BA’s Assistants have already developed Gholston into a valuable starter as our RDE and they will at least wait til they practice in pads to determine if they can develop Benenoch into a valuable RT backup—though I have my doubts after watching his attempt at RT a few times last year with zero development by Clueless Warhop, and what they really have in E. Smith who is valuable as a Center backup and has been a serviceable OG on both left and right in the past. Now if our undrafted Center we have now can outplay E. Smith and can be quickly developed as a OG too, the Bucs will cut or trade E. Smith in a heartbeat. If our South Carolina undrafted RG can outplay Cappa at RG you will see Cappa being developed for RT and if he is better than a developed Benenoch, it will be bye bye Benenoch. That is why competition at every position is very helpful in quick development too! You can also see why BA throws a lot at rookies to see how quick they can learn and looks for very smart players in the draft (Something else the Patriots do too).

  12. zzbuc Says:

Should we say thank you to our GM??? Jesus H Christ!!!

  13. TexBuc Says:

single gap defenses 4-3 or 3-4 is the same principle, line up between OL and get upfield. Old Tampa 2 with Monte Kiffin was also a single gap D, shoot the gap between the OL and stop the run on the way to the QB. Short QB’s like Brees do not like to see inside pressure and cannot see over them. Sacks are a a great stat but QB pressure is the key, move the QB off his spot and hurrying the throw is just as effective.

  14. D-Rome Says:

A good GM would never be in this salary cap hell position with an overall record of 27-53, a record worse than Mark Dominick. Being up against the cap like the Bucs are would be fine if the team over the past 5 years was 53-27. I can’t wait for December 30, 2019 which is the date this reign of terror should come to an end.

  15. ben Says:

Light should never be in charge again…EVER!!!

  16. Isaac haggins Says:

Brate its 4 mil or you will be cut tomorrow……… Don’t be surprised if Braye and safety are not traded for a defense end or o line help !! Btw that could be a center as well as a r guard or tackle

  21. zzbuc Says:

Isaac Haggins, with all due respect, if we trade Brate and OJ gets Hurt…..What should we do? Trading Brate would be a HUGE mistake!!!!
813Bucboi, I am with you 100%, we need more guys like evans, leaders by example and not by social media!!!!!

  22. Bucsfanman Says:

Boy, I hope I’m wrong but expecting ANYTHING out of Will Gholston after 6 years of nothing is on the verge of insanity.
Scheme or no scheme, you CAN play or you CANNOT play. Based on data, he might be the most overpaid “player” on the team.

  23. SCBucsFan Says:

Duke Johnson is the 11th highest paid RB in the NFL. Don’t believe me? Go check it out. The way to continued salary cap hell is to acquire players like, ummm, Duke Johnson.

  24. El Buco Realisto Says:

    @813broccoli

Then the fans accepted his apology when he “learned” that what he was doing was disrespectful and on company time!!!!!! Now that he admitted that he was in the wrong, And using his play for an example for others!!!!!!!!! Funny that with such a “serious” issue as they claim, that there is nothing done in the offseason to bring attention or public awareness to all of this grave issue!!!!!! I guess just like all the sheep think, all problems are solved!!!!!!!! And don’t worry sheep, we will tell you when to stand up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2019 will reveal answers to the sheep, that the “real” fans already know!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  25. Race to 10 Says:

We have some dense fans. Mark Dominick was never against the cap because he kept drafting garbage players that couldn’t make it through rookie contracts let alone sign a second contract. Will gholston contract is = Michael clayton head scratching contract extension though. We have a pretty good core of players on offense and the book is out on the defense now that we have a coaching staff that has a clue

  26. webster Says:

    @ 813

Exactly. These bums like the realist think kneeling is disrespectful. These bums like the realist think the players do not do anything in the offseason to further their cause. These bums like the realist do not understand these players are doing things during the season and off season. These bums like the realist do not do any research, they just go off fox news alternative facts evident by the fact these bums called suh a thug only to find out he is one of the most charitable athletes in the world. Not in just the nfl, but in the world. These bums like the realist believe that nonsense that athletes should shut up and dribble and thats why those types will forever be bums.

  27. Allbuccedup Says:

Mike Evans did good thing. Jason “complete idiot” Licht will probably trade him next year, his way of thanking him. There is absolutely no reason to be in this cap problem. This team has sucked for all these years and not to have any cap space is inexcusable. The Glazers are either blind or just don’t give a crap. I am not sure which it is.

  28. Bucsdelight Says:

Devin’s project contract is $29.3 million total contract with a signing bonus of $19.1 million.

  29. Bucsdelight Says:

    Projected*

  30. TexBuc Says:

Until Brate is medical cleared for his Hip procedure his trade value is diminished. So it is probably better to hang on to Brate especially given OJ’s injury history.

  31. Allbuccedup Says:

Sounds like we got two TEs with injury issues. Draft one or pick someone that gets released. Trade OJ to Dallas for their no# 1 pick in 2020 , if they will go for it. Now we will have a top ten pick and a top twenty pick. Release JPP, don’t resign Suh and Winston bam 42 million in cap space.

A bunch of paranoia going around these parts. BA keeps a tight ship. Sink or swim for the Bucs. But my cups half full.

  35. Defense Rules Says:

@gotbbucs … “Gholston will finally be playing in a defensive scheme that suits him. He’s not going anywhere”. I have exactly the same feeling. Tend to think that Todd Bowles’ 3-4 hybrid defense will fit Gholston a LOT better than what he’s been asked to do for the past 2 years especially. Not the fastest DE for sure, but he’s got excellent versatility along the DLine & he always plays the run quite well. Those 2 attributes IMO are worth the $4 mil that he’s making, especially since all reports this Spring have said that he’s gotten back into top physical condition.

  36. Destinjohnny Says:

Joe can we have 5-11 talent and be at the cap???

  37. Bucsdelight Says:

@webster – Yes, let’s beat a dead horse. Kneeling is disrespectful. Oh, I’m a bum. Only bums like webster think kneeling isn’t disrespectful. Stop with your B.S. Everyone is entitled to an opinion on that topic and yours does not trump everyone else’s opinion.

  38. Defense Rules Says:

@allbuccedup … “bam 42 million in cap space”. Brilliant strategy. Wonder if that $42 mil will buy us a starting QB, DT, DE & TE in 2020 to replace Jameis, Suh, JPP & OJ who you just got rid of. Money can’t buy you happiness, but it can buy you the likes of Josh McCown & Swaggy Baker while the NFL’s winning teams hang onto their quality starting QBs, DTs, DEs & TEs.

Personally hope that Jameis has a sterling year & either gets re-signed to a 3-5 year contract or is franchise-tagged. Bucs NEED Ndamukong Suh much more than he needs us … I hope he also has a beast year & stays with us for several more to end his career here. Convinced that JPP can make it back … next year. And why anyone would want to trade the league’s best TE for a #20 pick next year boggles my mind. OJ truly is a generational talent.

  39. AlteredEgo Say: Your comment is awaiting moderation. Says:

Web and 813 you stand for the National anthem… then protest on your own time and place.

  40. SCBucsFan Says:

DR I agree. He sells off talent to get cap space and has no one to replace the players. That will work out well in the long run.

  41. Hodad Says:

Want cap relief? Cut the dumb ass JPP, who couldn’t bother showing up for OTA’s, instead he was out breaking his neck. Neck fracture, three fingers, only a slim chance to return by November, that’s what Licht wants to hold on to? Stupid is, as stupid does.

  42. Lord Cornelius Says:

What’s sad is Realist NEEDS the Bucs to be really bad this year.. He NEEDS Jameis Winston to fail. He NEEDS the coaching staff to fail.

Otherwise his whole schtick / character / will literally be destroyed by a successful season. There is no going back now.

Humans are freaking weird sometimes lol. Including myself.

    GO BUCS!

  43. JimmyJack Says:

Don’t listen to him. He is not our sheppard anymore. We are still the sheep but we choose not to follow him when he wanted to give the last coach another pass for the second straight year. He tried to lead us down a path that was dark and disturbing. Even us sheep are not that dumb.

He may still think he is a sheppard but he is without a herd. We have walked away. Us sheep now call him the crazy on the internet now.

  44. JimmyJack Says:

Lord he has been wrong for years now. He was the worst Buc sheppard us sheep have ever had. He was our leader for the lost decade and was part of the problem.

813 is our new sheppard now and I see great things in our future.

  45. El Buco Realisto Says:

The sheep are way off base as always!!!!!!!! I don’t “need” the Bucs to be anything!!!!!! I am telling you what they are!!!!!!!! Do you also get mad when the thermometer tell you that it is hot outside???????? It just is!!!!!!!!!!!! The truth will always be revealed!!!!! It just takes some longer to “realize” it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don’t believe in shepards / sheeps or any of that lol. We’re all just Bucs fans. We’ve all been right/wrong about a bunch of stuff.

You are dismissed. The sheep will never listen to you again. And we are glad you think we are wrong because we all saw firsthand that you never had the answers.

You may join us sheep if you wish or you may continue pretending you are still a sheppard. But you don’t have a herd so you’re just a phony…….Us sheep now call you the crazy on the internet.

  54. D1 Says:

    Webster,

If you see kneeling as respectful and another person sees it as disrespectful.
    It’s opinion.

Here’s another way to look at it, and it’s less polarizing.

Is the playing of our National Anthem a good time for a theatre performance?
And, Do you support playing the National Anthem before the Oscar’s, Tonys and Golden Globe Awards telecasts?

  55. JimmyJack Says:

Lord I don’t get it either. Most fans are reasonable even if they got a strong opinion but there are a select few who seem to care more about being right then the team succeeding.

I just don’t get it. The funnest part about this is seeing the team win. I guess fanbases need all types of fans. I just don’t see what’s so funny about being right about something. I find winning much more enjoyable but we all different I guess.

Try to figure them out you’ll never figure them out.

  56. Lord Cornelius Says:

I love how Realist is directly calling me a sheep.

Dude is missing the point hard.

My point isn’t about whether Realist is right or wrong.

My point is he cares more about being right and talking down to fellow Bucs fans than anything else in regards to this team.

And that’s just sad. Oh well.

    GO BUCS

  57. J dubb Says:

Just a thought, I keep reading that in bowles’ defense, it are the safeties that run the d as opposed to the linebacker. If true, I highly doubt bowles’ would feel comfortable with the inexperience back there, could this restructuring (with another couple of moves) be a sign of a veteran safety, Eric berry perhaps?

  58. The Buc Realist Says:

To simplify for the sheep, Lord of corn does not like the way a phrase my message!!!!!!!!!!!!

And remember Lord of Corn. Nothing is as sad as denying the ‘TRUTH”!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2019 will reveal answers to the sheep, that the “real” fans already know!!!!!!!!

  59. Allbuccedup Says:

Defense rules, there are other people in the team also. Dotson 4.8 mil will be gone, Allen 4 mil will be gone, Noah Spence unless he has a good year. VH3 9 mil is question mark. Rebuilt the whole team if we have a losing season. If not Jason Licht will have to get creative. Hopefully we will have a good season and all of this talk is just what it is talk. But seeing is believing.

  60. Lord Cornelius Says:

    @813

For sure. Last year was already a head scratcher of pivots/justifications/repivots/conspiracy theories vs just simply saying “You know I was wrong. Mike Smith is not a good coach anymore”. Even with the insane splits in terms of defensive stats under Duffner vs Smitty.

    @Jimmyjack

Yeah I don’t get it either. I get fired up on here sometimes about my opinion, but in the end I just want to win and could care less about being right relative to winning.

The NFL is super unpredictable. “Experts” every year get things wrong. I’ve read stories where Matt Hasslebeck benched himself in fantasy football and then he threw 6 TDs.

The idea that anyone really knows the future to this degree is just insane unless he is Biff from Back to the Future. And if he really knows then stop wasting time on JBF and put $$ on it.

Also – statistically – he is playing it safe by predicting failure for this franchise. It is not sage wisdom. It’s not an out-there “wow I didn’t see that coming!” take.

It is the Vegas position. And its also many fans on JBF’s prediction as well. The fan base is pretty non-optimistic compared to past year. But yeah blah blah sheep sheep exclamation points blah blah

  61. JimmyJack Says:

AllBuccedup……VH3 and Spence getting cut wouldn’t shock me but why do you think Allen and Dotson get cut? Who replaces them?

  62. Allbuccedup Says:

Oh by the way ” Defense Rules” I guess the last 11 years is what you call happiness. Not for me I won’t be satisfied until we reach the Super Bowl again.

  63. Allbuccedup Says:

    J J I am talking 2020 not this year.

  64. Ndog Says:

Let’s see this new defense is better suited for VH3, Davis, Stewart, Dean, Bunting, Edwards, Evans, Gholdston, Vea, Spence, Shu, David and White. So what exactly was wrong with our team last year? Some people, I won’t mention any names, want to blame a different facet of the team yet 8 players on defense at least we’re not allowed to play to their strengths last year. Does that not sound like a coaching problem to you?

One thing is certain the previous coaching staff and the scouting department clearly didn’t see eye to eye on what style player they wanted.

  65. El Buco Realisto Says:

    @”n”dog

At least, so far it seems, that the new DC will have the freedom to run his scheme, and not a scheme to keep gmc happy as the past DC had to deal with!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2019 will reveal answers to the sheep, that the “real” fans already know!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  66. Defense Rules Says:

@Isaac … “Will G it’s 2.5 million or your cut !!! It’s just not that hard to upgrade these teams!” Gee and it only took the Bucs 20 years to ‘upgrade’ the 1st time (1976-1996) and only 16 years (2003-2018) to ‘hopefully’ upgrade the 2nd time. Good thing Isaac that it’s not hard or it might’ve taken even longer.

Seems to me that the last DE we gave a ‘Take this or leave’ ultimatum to was Michael Bennett. Worked out pretty good as I remember … for Bennett. For the Bucs? Not so much. Raheem had it right IMO: ‘We’ll tolerate you until we can replace you’. Still, it’s not wise to get rid of someone UNTIL you’ve got his replacement onboard.

  67. SOEbuc Says:

They’re “revamping” by choosing all the players that don’t fit on this team with BA and Bowles systems. Waiting for all the other team’s releases to see what fish float to the top. JPP is gone. Could get a decent trade for VH3. Dotson will not make the 53-man roster. The resign was just in case of an emergency that we won’t find a better, affordable starter at RT and we don’t have any depth there right now. Dotson was a good player but he’s an injury waiting to happen. Like to see Liedtke get a chance in TC and PS at RT. Santos will be gone.

We don’t have to able to afford All-Pros on the right side of the o-line. I just want good players that may even excel with BA and staff.

  68. Defense Rules Says:

@Allbuccedup … “VH3 9 mil is question mark.” I’d love to see a poll of how many JBFers believe that VHIII will be on the Bucs roster next year at $9 mil. Sign me up for the ‘Not a snowball’s chance in he11’ group.

There are a BUNCH of players whose contracts expire after this year. So many in fact that it’s downright scary. If we have a very good year & they all do well, no way in heaven we could re-sign them all. So yes, very good chance that players like Dotson & Allen & Spence will be gone (assuming of course that all 3 make the 53-man roster THIS year).

But look at some of the others who we MIGHT have to pay. Jameis Winston, Ndamukong Suh, Carl Nassib, Shaquil Barrett, Breshad Perriman, Peyton Barber, Antony Auclair, Deone Bucannon, Devante Bond, Ryan Smith, Kentrell Brice plus a number of others. Those are all guys (plus Dotson, Allen & Spence) who SHOULD see a pretty good helping of plays this season. The next rookie class MIGHT replace 3 of them (MAYBE even 4) but that’s about it. Thus MANY will have to either be brought back at higher salaries (IF they do well) or replaced (IF they don’t do well). Such a deal.

As far as Jason Licht having to ‘get creative’ goes, I’ve been waiting for that for 6 years now. Although in retrospect, taking a kicker in the 2nd round was rather ‘creative’ on his part.

And regarding “I guess the last 11 years is what you call happiness” I suppose that I should add … apparently the tone of my earlier comments eluded you, so I guess that sarcasm isn’t your thing. Kudos, I’d get in a lot less trouble with the Mrs if I used it less.

  69. SOEbuc Says:

And I got $15 in tips today, Jason. You can put that into the resign Nassib ASAP fund right away.

  77. SenileSenior Says:

Will Gholston is no longer a DE. He is now a DT in the new 3-4 scheme. He has bulked up to about 307 pounds and is being coached accordingly.

    _____________
    Go Bucs!!!

  78. Pryda...sec147 Says:

Can we get Yannick Ngakoue !!!!? If we cut JPP, Santos, & maybe Evan Smith ?

  79. SenileSenior Says:

Gholston will function more like Akeem Spence did as a run stopper in one version of our previous scheme. At least that is how I see him.

    ___________
    Go Bucs!!!

  80. ElBajito43 Says:

    Turn off LICHT

  81. JimmyJack Says:

Dusthy you are incorrect. Bruce had many options and could have released most of the roster if he had wanted.

It just so happens that he chose to pay our own players. The $$ was avialable and Bruce used it how he wanted.

  82. Allbuccedup Says:

The only problem there wasn’t enough $$.

  83. webster Says:

Im not really sure what you are saying or asking but i will try to answer any way. I dont care when or where you play the anthem. If people kneel for the reasons these players were then its fine by me.

  84. The Buc Realist Says:

    @D1

at least Mike Evans learned!!!!!!!!!!!! Lets hear his own words!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

“I want to start by apologizing to all the U.S. military members, their families, and the fans who I offended by my actions on Sunday. It was never my intention as I have tremendous respect for the men and women who serve our country.”

  85. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

It’s nice that our best player restructures to help out the team, ala Tom Brady. Good job Mike!

  86. cmurda Says:

    Lmfao. You’re killin me.

  88. stvcl Says:

Alvin…just signed in to state the same. Already a team leader and restructures to help the team. That’s badass. Thanks Mike.

  89. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

I understand the need, and am in favor of it, but this also means Mike Evans’ Cap Hit will be hire each year going forward.

Saints did this with Brees every year, and as a result his final year on his contract will be huge…even for a QB.

  90. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

“Guys like Will Gholston, Caleb Benenoch, Evan Smith, Ryan Smith and other potential salary cap casualties are breathing a little easier this morning.” – Joe

Not over $3m they’re not, lol.

I think Will Gholston has the most to fear. And if I were Licht, Dotson would be cut.

After all, we’re not going to know if we need to draft a right tackle next year unless we test our young guys this year.

Those two cuts would free a bundle by themselves.

  91. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Also…there is a way to free up a bundle of money…

…sign Winston to a new deal. That would pay him more per year, but the bonus would be spread out over the cap, making it less this year.

But that would also mean making a commitment to him for the next 4-5 years. And he would have to be willing to do a deal now, when it is possible he’d make more later.

  92. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Until Bruce Arians wins more games than Koetter did for us, he isn’t better than Koetter. That’s the harsh truth. We’ve heard a lot of hype. We’ve seen a LOT of talk. But talk is cheap. I want to see the reality, not the talk.

I’m not making any predictions this year. Arians will either turn the team around or he won’t. Clean slate. But I want the real thing. Not off-season fantasy.

Also, when they switched the uniforms, I boycotted buying Bucs merchandise. I have stuck to my guns on that and still have not bought any. It would be nice if the Bucs went back to a variation of the Blood and Pewter instead of Red and Charcoal. And the old numbers.

  93. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    JimmyJack Says:
“Bruce had many options and could have released most of the roster if he had wanted.

It just so happens that he chose to pay our own players. The $$ was avialable and Bruce used it how he wanted.”

That’s actually a really great way of looking at it. Well said!

  94. Defense Rules Says:

SenileSenior … “Will Gholston is no longer a DE. He is now a DT in the new 3-4 scheme. He has bulked up to about 307 pounds and is being coached accordingly.”

Had read that Gholston had ‘bulked up’ some, but never heard that we’d redesignated him as a DT (Bucs website shows them now using just the DL designation vs DT & DE). As I remember though, wasn’t Akeem Spence a nose tackle? With us having Suh, Vea, Allen, Beckner & now Gholston all hovering at 300 or better, plus OLBs Nelson & Nassib around 275, Bucs will now have a massive front ‘whatever’. Throw in some speedy LBs in LVD, White & Bucannon to blitz early & often and this could be fun.

  95. Defense Rules Says:

JimmyJack … “Bruce had many options and could have released most of the roster if he had wanted.” In fact BA did release (or not re-sign) much of our roster JimmyJack. But he smartly focused on the defense and S/Ts FIRST, since those were where the biggest ‘gains’ could be made. The S/Ts has completely turned over, and the defense has largely turned over. We’ll have a BUNCH of new starters on defense & on the defensive roster this year. Last year’s defensive coaching was bad, but the defensive talent wasn’t all that much better. The combination was deadly.

  96. Cobraboy Says:

@DR: I’m not sure how to evaluate defensive talent with Smith and Smith’s horrible soft schemes.

Offensive coaches know defense. I suspect BA liked the job because he knew a defense turnaround in Tampa was eminently doable.

If the Bucs crack the top 20 in defense, this team will be drastically improved. Top 16 and they are in the playoffs.

  97. Duthsty Rhothdes Says:

Jimmy Jack resigning crappy players already on the team like VH3 & D Smith doesnt make BA look shrewd it makes him an accomplice in the longest playoff and worst run franchise in the NFL. This franchise should have paused this year and start completely over but instead it will continue to be the TJ Maxx of the NFL

  98. D1 Says:

    Webster,

Thanks for trying. I must have deleted a sentence or two because it wasn’t clear what I was asking. But your answer covered it.

BTW, I believe the NFL handled the entire issue incorrectly and made it more divisive.

If your willing to answer one last question . I’ve been curious about how the reason for the protests seems to be more important than the results.
And it seems as if the focus , on what is in theory an issue that should be agreed upon by everyone, is so narrow that supporters appear genuinely oblivious to the fundamentally anti American nature of the movement.

I’m suggesting that before you sterotype realist , or anyone else who finds kneeling offensive , a racist Trump voting, Maga cap wearing, fox news watching consumer of fake news, and heap upon him a white sheet and pointy hat You may want to ask why they are opposed .

Because I can state positively that the fictional character you’ve created as racist , stereotypical and simple minded , isn’t the best way to understand the reason people disagree. It’s simple, and racist . Relying on stereotypes and demonizing the person so as to avoid confronting their opinion. The irony is just so rich that I will leave it there.

If people can’t put aside their differences and allow sports and a team to Unite us ……then its time to forget sports and prepare for a very real battle. why else would anyone have for intentionally polluting one of the last remaining untainted cultural institutions.

  102. Duthsty Rhothdes Says:

Ya Bonzai either of us have 2 screen names to back each of us up on calling out the worst GM in football. Licht does that on his own and competent objective fans can see that when a team is 5-11 and the offseason the team got worse

    @813broccoli

Yet I bet you don’t complain when the Commander in Chief Tweets while he’s in the White House about trivial matters?! And he even addressed this issue! Who givea af if u think it’s “company time” when the wrong doings happen by sovereign citizens on tax payers time. Get a clue. I fought for my country as a combat corpsman, so I don’t care to hear ur couch potato American views. I love my country, she is great but it doesn’t mean there are not things that need changing.
