“They Will Turn Heads”

May 15th, 2019

Bullish on Bucs.

Since the Bucs fell on their collective faces after “Hard Knocks” two years ago, one member of the trendy NFL Network “Good Morning Football” crew seemed to turn on the Bucs.

Co-host Kyle Brandt is sick of America’s Quarterback, Pro Bowler Jameis Winston, stubbing his toe. Sick of all the talk. Sick of all the wasted talent and rarely meeting expectations.

But now it seems Brandt is warming to the Bucs. And it boils down to one man: Bucco Bruce Arians.

Brandt believes the Bucs are going to surprise some people this year. He offers his reasons why in the NFL Network video below.

But it all comes back to one man for Brandt. And that is Arians.

Show is much better than first take but brandt is a baffoon, his support puts the bucs on a great path in 2019

  2. Magadude Says:

    Enough talk. Any action please.

Tried to watch that show on several occasions but it just doesn’t take. The girl’s a cutie but the dancing and prancing about fails to resonate with me. I’ll take the unemotional Bill Polian over that product. At least he forms studious opinions without playing something akin to musical chairs.

Feel the same way about musical comedies.
Others love them, but I don’t see the value.
Can’t imagine asking someone how they feel today and getting a musical retort … (“I feel pretty-oh so pretty”) YUK!
    Must be getting old …

Guess we should all be thrilled that this Kyle dude loves BA. Yippee!!

  4. The Buc Realist Says:

Is turning heads AWAY considered, “they will turn heads” ?????????? It will be more like “they will turn TV’s off”!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

His only hope is ole coach stale biscuit??????? Can we petition team Glazer to bring back blackouts back?????????????

2019 will reveal answers to the sheep, that the “real” fans already know!!!!!!!!!!!

    Go Bucs!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Let’s just fly under the radar; in our case no news, is good news…

I hate when wishy washy media heads jump on our bandwagon; imo it’s a big-time jinx…personally l prefer our guys not listen at all and keep an us against the world mentality…

  6. Bird Says:

It’s funny how so much love has come from the cohosts on this show over the years.

You think they were born in Tampa /st Pete area.

Anyway …hope they are right about arians cause it almost the same team / same players as before.

But we do see the accountability piece being added to the mix

  7. Defense Rules Says:

I was ready to dismiss Brandt as a buffoon also, until he said something about Carson Palmer I hadn’t realized: he was a Raider for 2 years right before BA signed him to be his starting QB (I thought Palmer had been with the Bengals the whole time prior). And yes, BA really turned Palmer around.

His first 4 years with the Bengals were quite good, not unlike some of what we’ve seen from Jameis BTW. But for his 2 years in Oakland, he was terrible (won 8 games, lost 16 … that ratio sound familiar?). But in his first season with the Cards under BA, Palmer went 10-6 & threw for over 4,200 yds & 24 TDs. Then he started off 2014 with 6 straight wins, then got injured (Cards won 5, lost 5 after that behind Drew Stanton & Ryan Lindley). Palmer came back from injury & had a great 2015 (going 13-3, throwing for over 4,600 yds & 35 TDs). Impressive … until things hit the skids in 2016 & 2017.

Still, interesting turnaround under BA. One thing I noted though: the Cards DEFENSE was exceptional in Carson Palmer’s first 3 years (2013-2015) when he did really good. Then it stunk it up in 2016 & 2017, and Palmer fell back to ‘normal, normal’. It all gets back to offense & defense playing COMPLIMENTARY FOOTBALL IMO.

I hope they surprise us……but as I say
“There ain’t No Hope in Football “

  9. Darin Says:

Awww Realist is mad Brandt said the Bucs have talent. Didnt you tell him they pick from a much depleted different draft than everyone else? A real staff is all theyve needed. Us real fans already know it. Thanks for thinking of us.

  10. FortMyersDave Says:

Defense rules makes a good point about how Carson Palmer jump started his career under Arians (and Bowles running the defense then) after some bad years in Oakland but essentially what Big Dust said is also very true: Kyle Brandt is not exactly a key prognosticator of the NFL. His claim to fame before his most recent gig was executive producer of the Jim Rome Show where he called the show live while drunk from Wrigley Field as well as many other comical/embarrassing escapades with Romey and his Clones basically bridging the gap between Ron/Ian and The Big Dog back when 620DAE was relevant…. I am glad the guy is pulling for the Bucs but his take on them is not going to make anyone run to their OTB and bet the over on the Bucs…..

  11. Succaneers Says:

THE SUCCANEERS WILL TURN HEADS ALRIGHT, BUT FROM PEOPLE TURNING TO THEIR BUDDIES AND LAUGHING THEIR ASSES OFF AT THIS JOKE OF AN NFL TEAM

  12. Succaneers Says:

DARIN, A REAL STAFF? LMAO, YOU MEAN A 66 YEAR OLD RETIRED COACH W A HEART CONDITION, A DC WHO WAS FIRED FROM THE JETS, LEFTWITCH WHO IS A STAND IN FOR GARY COLEMAN AT BIRTHDAY PARTIES? THAT STAFF?

  13. LakeLand Says:

    Lol,

The Bucs turn heads every year

  14. adam from ny Says:

filling up 60 minutes of time…that’s all folks

  15. wausa Says:

It’s clear JoeBucsfan does not agree with Brandt’s positive assessment of the Bucs.

  16. Joe Says:

It’s clear JoeBucsfan does not agree with Brandt’s positive assessment of the Bucs.

Not a believer in the defense to this date. Whatsoever.

  17. Mike Johnson Says:

Talk is cheap. Everybody is a champion prior to 1st game kickoff. We shall see…..

  18. Dusthty Rhothdes Says:

Bucs defense Joe is bad and even if they get some guys that are cut in the summer how great are these castoffs going to help a defense that lost 18 sacks

  19. wausa Says:

I agree with you about the defense Joe.

However, the bar is set pretty low.
If the Bucs defense can go from utterly putrid to plain horrible then this team has a chance to win a lot more games this year.

  20. TOM Says:

Succaneers. All true & funny. A sad time in Bucland.

  21. Buc1987 Says:

    Realist…I’m curious.

If Arians is a stale biscuit and Mike Smith was YOUR hero.

How does that give you any cred?

    GO BUCS!!!!

  24. Sherman Perigo Says:

Will turn heads with Winston setting an interception record because of no O-line, 6-10 at best.

  25. Mike Johnson Says:

Every yr guys..a different hype. And different savior coaches thrown in. I’ve been a Bucs fan since the franchise started. And was there with my dad for our 1st ever game in the ole Sombrero. I’ve been disappointed by these Bucs so much..I’ve become Comfortably Numb. I don’t get up or down. I just wait..and watch..for the Jizz. Thats me..Mr. Very cautiously optimistic……
