Hmm,might wanna check the Bucs app. Today’s segment covers Dlinemen. There you’ll see why I proclaim Vea is the most important component to this “New” defense. They obviously see him as not a rotational guy but a player that will rarely come off the football field. But you folks go ahead wasting your time dreaming about some DE. The cornerstone is already present. Darf Vea what I call’em.

I do appreciate the podcasts you provide. Don’t always agree, but that’s part of the business. Would like to suggest you tie up Trevor Sikkema with a podcast of his own. Hopefully it could be Bucs based; but if not it could be Draft Network based.

  3. Jean Lafitte Says:

Joe, you’re always harping that the Bucs should’ve addressed the RB addition in the draft or bring in an expensive veteran.

    You’ve got:
    Barber
    Jones III
    Wilson
    Ellington
Anderson <—- start watching Bruce Anderson. This guy is good.

I don't see the urgency that for some reason you see. I guess if it's not some recognized shiny piece of candy, Joe can't see it. Your doing exactly the same thing you have accused others of doing in the past. Actually, Joe is just calling it as it appears based on other team’s running backs stables. –Joe Just because a guy was an UDFA does not mean he's dogmeat. I think once you start paying attention to him you will see what I've seen. He's very versatile .. He's a good runner, receiver, and returner.

    Does JPP get cut?

  5. Jean Lafitte Says:

    *correction*
addition was supposed to be position

The only thing I agree with the Joes about, is the oline. Jensen is average and he is not going to get better. Marpet is good with room to grow. Smith is average with up side. Dotson is declining fast and wont last half thw season. Cappa is a tackle that has no business starting thia year. Benenoch is a practice squad player at best. All the no names from last year are straight trash. If any of these average starters go down we are F. All it takes is one guy to mess up on the oline and the play is over. We need a RG. RT. And a Center. Jensen is not worth his contract. His contract keeps his spot safe. For now. Hes ok. He came in last year with a beer belly. Put that weight into some muscle.Bro Smith. You too.

NosBos and I (and others, too) see a beast in Vita Vea. We see a perennial pro bowler/all pro in him. He will be here long after Suh is gone.

I predict unequivocally that he and White together will make most of the unhappy fans forget the decision to take him over Derwin James soon enough. That should be substantially accomplished by season’s end. (There is no doubt in my mind that James would have fit spectacularly in the Bowles defense I am beginning to envision.)

I am very comfortable in making this prediction. In contrast I would not venture to predict the win-loss outcome of the upcoming season at this time. I do not have that confidence yet. I will venture a prediction before the first game in September.

Still can’t believe the Joe on this podcast watched this team and doesn’t think this o line is a problem

How many times do you need to see RBs blown up at the line or behind the line to see how pathetic this line was at run blocking?

Doesn’t matter the RB, this line sucks at run blocking

Team will struggle to be balanced until the o line is fixed

I gotta be honest, I think game 1 against San Fran will be Rojos coming out party. Watching Kwon take horrible angles will be a thing of beauty. Dee Ford is a stand up edge rusher and speed will eat him alive with a quick cut.

His confidence is beaming right now and he has something to prove.

    Think Jamal Charles.
Back is 2014 BA said Andre Ellington will ne used like Jamal Charles, but he can’t hold Rojos jock strap when it comes to natural running ability.

I’m sold on Rojo with this staff until I’m proven wrong.
