After a week 1 bye in 2017 and suspension/benching in 2018, we need this mentality in response to the rough schedule.
We’d all be having fits if he was making excuses before the season starts.

Did any of you haters actually listen to the clip? Jameis has a black, Alabama dialect. Guess what? He’s black and he’s from Alabama. Otherwise he spoke in the same generic cliches that all players use. There was nothing unintelligent said. Jameis is worthy of criticism for a lot of things, but being stupid is not one of them.

@Old School- that’s all this site is about anymore. The most negative Buc site by far. The same 15 or so posters, most of which are fine. The clowns above are a regular occurance by any name they choose to use. I just come for the occasional good conversation. Which is rare.

I hope we have a good year, make the playoffs and see Jameis lead us there with his availability, consistency and most importantly taking care of the TD:Turnover Ratio.
We need to come out hot. I hope Jameis can just be Jameis and play more consistently lver the season.
I don’t want Jameis to get careless with the ball and force turnovers. I’d rather see three and out, take a sack, and live to die another play.
I love Jameis’ skills when the play breaks down, and I hope he can keep that part of his game and just make bitter split second decisions.
Regarding JW3’s intelligence, the man was accepted to Stanford and Aunt Becky didn’t have to pull any strings. Jameis is smart enough for damn sure.

You can call Jameis dumb, but he’s so much more successful than you could ever dream of being. It’s funny that you care so much about him to post anonymously about his intelligence. Do you think he would do the same about you? No, he wouldn’t, because you aren’t important enough and you don’t live in his mind like he does in yours.

There is not one person here that speaks the Queen’s English properly!
Why? We are Americans of one sort or another. We all speak one of the many American dialects. Simply put we all speak American English.
Stop labeling people stupid because they speak differently than you do. If you really listen to Jameis you will realize that he is quite intelligent. I am confident he earned his college degree by studying his courses.

You are right, SenileSenior. As a non-native speaker, I have to say that around 90 % of the spoken language on American streets has little to nothing to do with the stuff being taught during English lessons in German schools. There is little difference to rural areas in Scotland, though. And you have to love the elongaaated vowels, Jameis is using.

@Old School….a “black, Alabama dialect” as you say is not about speaking this language called “English” that Jameis was supposedly taught for 15 years of school. Not speaking English is noting when it’s not done isn’t racist. The fact that a large proportion of NFL players can’t speak English either does not mean it’s not a valid observation. Jameis however, is an idiot, because he had it all and threw it away in one crotch grab. Nothing racist about that comment either.

Aside from addresing Old School Nole’s ridiculous race card throwdown above, these are the same old words from Winston. This is the fifth year for him. He’s on his third “prove it” year and while I think Arians is a bit full of it also, Arians is pumping Winston up in a manner that will leave no doubt about Winston’s inability to be a consistent starting QB in the NFL. I think I already know who Winston is: A lying, BSing, interception machine who thinks he knows more than his coaches. He’s a good backup QB that is just a cut below Ryan Fitzpatrick and just above Mike Glennon. I hope he scores on every play, and wins every game…because I’m a Bucs fan. We should have moved on from him after his suspension though. Let him be someone else’s problem. Why can’t we have a guy like Russell Wilson, Desean Watson, or Baker Mayfield. Leaders who make their fans proud.
