One of Joe’s favorite Bucs was mic’d up Sunday in Baltimore.

We should champion this guy and start a propaganda campaign because he made a couple tackles that any NFL should make.

  2. Alaskan Abdominal Snowman Says:

ya Love the Mic’d up stuff, it’s just a cool perspective that we don’t usually see.

Season is over, who said any of that? I think you need a break, for your mental health.

  3. SB Says:

    T-Totally agree with ^^^^^

Get out of here with that BS ‘Season’
If you can’t find some hope with this kid then just go be a Dolphin fan. Dude
    Dolt!

  4. Season Is Over Says:

I bet you all were on the Godwin hype train as well. How has that regression gone? Save the propaganda for when someone actually does something. This team is a gutter dweller that deserves no praise.

  5. ClwJB Says:

Whitehead has promise, but he is small for an in the box SS – like his energy and speed, worried about him holding up against backs and TE’s over time

  6. Dooshlarue Says:

I still have a lot of confidence in Godwin. Not sure what happened with him recently, but the kid is very good. I’m not giving up on him.

Oh, and Whitehead is solid too.

  7. Rod Munch Says:

This is an excellent hit for Licht if Whitehead turns out to be someone starting next to Evans for the next half-decade. If him and Evans are your starting safeties, and they’re quality starters (not just starting because they’re better than Ryan Smith and Chris Conte), and you have Davis as a rock at one corner, and who knows, perhaps VH3 comes back healthy and is say your nickel corner, then sudden that black hole in the defensive backfield is a whole lot easier to deal with. It’s a lot of if’s, but I don’t think any of them are unlikely.

So in that case you have on the d-line at the very least JPP, who I only just realized is still just 29, he’ll be around next year (assuming they don’t try to flip him if they do a full rebuild). You have Vita, who is finally showing some life. McCoy, I’d assume, will be back – and even if a bad off year like this year he’s still top 10 for DT in sacks.

At LB you have David, who is a top LB year in and year out. You have, hopefully, Beckwith back and healthy. Kwon, I assume is not going to be back because of the money he wants, but if the Bucs did sign him longterm that is a super solid LB core for at least a few more years.

When you break it down by groups the defense might not be a lost cause afterall. They need a lot of depth, in particular at DB, but it’s easier to find depth than it is to find starters.

Dooshlarue – Godwin will be fine, he just stinks catching the ball without gloves, and the field has been wet the last couple of weeks. Also the Bucs have played two of the top passing defenses in the league the last two weeks. The Saints were terrible early in the year, but lately they’ve been shutting down everyone, and Ravens have been one of the best defenses in football this year as well. Anywho get OJ back, have a dry field, and he’ll be a solid #2 for years.

  9. ElioT Says:

I like Whitehead but do y’all remember when we actually had proven ballers on the team getting mic’d Up?

Damn, this has been a hard road.

I love to moment when Whitehead is all jacked up and Gearld just wants to sit on the bench like a true “warrior”.

  10. Tampa Bay Demon Says:

Damn, “Season”. — Nobody said he was the 2nd coming. Just enjoying watching him grow and looking forward to seeing what comes of it.

  11. Scotty in Fat Antonio Says:

He is one of the few that is close to having ANY enthusiasm in this video. Geraldini looked like he didn’t want to be there.

  12. SOEbuc Says:

    Godwin will be fine?

What the F are you people talking about? Seems like he’s barely being targeted. Guy has amazing hands, can catch the ball, break two tackles and get 10 more yards. Yeah I’d say he’ll be fine. Especially with a good OC.

Your thoughts about the secondary is why I would love Kris Richard as HC if we’re going a defensive direction. He has so much energy and is in good shape he jets around the practice field to players with his book and shows them corrections. Not gonna cost John or Jim Harbaugh money either. Good chance Rivera could stay in Carolina. F#ck Mike McCarthy. Mike Tomlin is going no where.

Bad, gassed defense. You’re gonna get a serious whoopin from Richard and Buckner in the post game locker room.
