I enjoyed Sean’s take. Like Joe, I also don’t necessarily agree with 100% of what he said but not much less than 100%. I think the idea of a Team President is right. Think about it this way. Let’s look at successful franchises. In fact, why not start in our own backyard. The Lightning are said to be one of the most successful franchises in all of the U.S. major sports. In fact, somewhere I read they are #1. Look at how they did it. They built this franchise from the top down. Years ago, Steve Yzerman became our General Manager and he has proven to be an absolute rainmaker. From the way he handled the Jonathan Drouin siutation to how nearly every prospect that comes up is awesome. Now, he’s the Team President. I’m petrified that he may eventually go to the Red Wings franchise. Even if he did, he paved the road for this organization. Jeff Vinik as an owner poured his heart and soul into creating a stud front office. The Bucs need to take a page out of the Bolts book. Get someone such as a Tony Dungy or anyone with a highly respected mind as Team President. I’m hearing rumblings about the Bucs being connected to Mike McCarthy as a Head Coach. That would be uninspiring to me but it would be pretty awesome if he served as Team President. Just a thought.

  2. Jeff Says:

Great point, the Bucs need a guy that LOVES football. It may be easier to find someone that fits that discription for executive Vice President and oversee HC and GM because they can get an x coach, too old to coach but still craves to be in football. What about Marty Schottenheimer? I wonder what he’s doing, he’d love to get back in the nfl, out his stamp on a team.

  3. Joe Says:

I wonder what Marty Schottenheimer is doing?

Marty Schottenheimer has Alzheimer’s. But it would be so Bucs if they hired him.

    *******

I’m going to give you the benefit of the doubt that you agree with me but do you see Aaron Rodgers or Brett Favre exiting that southwest tunnel for the Bucs? Nope. McCarthy was a product of two great QB’s coming to his lap, it’s a shame Dirk didn’t get that luck.

Sullivan seems like a good dude, I really like his honest breakdown (extremely rare) of the lifetime warranty coverage and sales goals for the close of 2018.

Also, that sales tax increase is a clutch closing tool to bring up.

I spent eight successful years in the car business (sales and F&I) for the same dealership and if I had to go back, I’d like to work for a guy like that.

Great Donovan Smith take too. Lazy, weak winded d-bag.

    Good job Steve and Sean.

  6. Krojen Says:

I really liked Sean’s take. For so long it’s felt like the only time the players care about wining or playing well is when their job is on the line in meaningless December games, they’re in a contract year, or rookies trying to establish themselves.

It really is going to take a group of guys that really love football to change the culture.

Which brings me to Jameis… I’m sure he still loves football and that makes me want to like him so badly. He even brought the swag back to my Noles. But he also sucks at being an NFL QB and I can’t forgive him for the uber incident and how he handled it. He’s brought so much shame to this franchise.

This site is about all there is to enjoy about being a Bucs fan lol. Keep up the good work.
