Can hardly wait for this crap season to end ! Get on with it G-Boys and fix this mess once and for all . This franchise has been a laugher far too long ! Long suffering fans deserve better ! Willing to give it one more go before I give up on this franchise . The Dungy years with the Gruden exclamation point are a distant memory . The current losing is more putrid than 0-26 and the ‘83- ‘96 era! The league has changed and no reason to be so sorry so long !

@Jarhead. I agree that it’s impossible for Winston to know that his LT took a play off as he does every single game at least 5 times, but he can’t take that long. If nothing is there tuck it and get what you can. It’s the turnovers with Winston that are unacceptable. I hate to say it because I want Winston to work out but it has not gotten one iota better in 4 years. He throws nearly as many picks as TD’s. Way too careless with the ball. My only but is that he has been coached by an inferior coach and maybe the light comes on with a new one.

Jameis is looking good man, has been ever since he returned as starter.
His turnovers will be magnified on this site due to how poorly he played early in the season. It is my opinion the this has been the perfect storm for Winston to turn things around. Anyone not blinded by the Jameis hate could see that he is better and is protecting the football better than he ever have in his career.

I’m with Jarhead. I want to see Winston playing under a new coach before jumping ship with him. He displays all the talent and as to continuously put this team on his shoulders thanks to no defense and his O Line constantly penalized. Did I mention no running game? Jameis is set up to fail but he can make all the throws and has enough speed to make plays with his legs. Put him in a west coast offense or give him a great O Line and the sky is the limit.

Compare his numbers to Brady, Manning and Farve at this age. He’s only 24 years old. I swear fans (and coaches) are so obsessed with QBs not throwing interceptions it’s ridiculous. It’s about actual production from the QB position, which Jameis has.
Ex. I’d rather have a QB like Brett Farve who throws for 350 3tds and 2 ints than a QB like Alex Smith who will get you 150 for 1 td 0 ints.

Koetter has done nothing to deserve a 4th year. His offer see is one dimensional and struggles to put up points in the RZ. He put together a poor staff and has been too slow to make adjustments to that staff. Literally the only area where this team looks above average is in the passing game. Of the entire game the 2 penalties against Dallas were the cleanest plays. The hit on Hump is a penalty by today’s rules but the one on Winston should have been called. The PI that Hump should have drawn on the 1st drive was more obvious than that call.

Alaskan – Yeah I don’t agree with you on halftime adjustments. Like last week the Bucs did a very good job of shutting down that Baltimore running game in the first half, then in the second half it was basically a completely different game.
Hopefully these coaches realizes teams are switching things up based on what the Bucs are doing, and, perhaps, for once, the Bucs will make their own adjustments. I mean it’s nearly the end of 3 years and we’ve never seen it, so if we want to be honest the likelihood of that happening is zlitch.
But on the road, against a playoff team, you NEED to make adjustments or at least account for the opposing changes.

In basketball sometimes you get wide open shots and miss them. Does that mean your offense needs adjustment? Or do you just need to knock down those shots?

Alaskan – The adjustments last week against the Ravens are a prime example of halftime changes. They’re seeing how the Bucs are playing the option, they see the Bucs are not shadowing the Jackson, so they literally change up their play calling in the second half. It wasn’t like they ran the same plays in each half, in the second half they changed the calls. The Bucs meanwhile ran the same exact defense and that lack of a shadow killed them and turned the game around. On the Bucs offense their big halftime adjustment was to come out in the first half and run it up the gut on 1st down… but they did it from shotgun. That was literally the only thing I saw that was any different.
Halftime adjustments are real, you look and see what, if anything, the defense / offense is doing different from normal, then you scheme to take advantage of that. It can be as simple as we switch from pursuing the ball to keeping lanes, it can be the running game is working well, let’s use that fact to open up the play action pass, etc.

@cmurda- it’s as if Special Teams is only meant to enable a change in possession. There’s never an attempt to actually make plays. We never pressure the kicks. We rarely put a playmaker in to return. Hump on punts and Quizzes on kicks is about as vanilla as you can get.
Meanwhile, our STs give up plays on the regular to team’s that play aggressively.

I don’t hate Hump, I just don’t think he’s anything more than a 4th WR – and as a 4th WR he’s a really good. But he literally fumbled away the Bills game last year, he turned around the entire season, and he’s a terrible punt returner yet Dirk keeps using him enough though he continues to do stuff like fumble punts, muff punts, put the offense in terrible starting position.
Hump has value to the team, they should keep him on the cheap, and if we ran a different offense that was more of a short passing deal he’d put up nice numbers, but he’s not the guy you Hump worshippers think he is, he can’t get open in 1-on-1 coverage vs corners, and while he’s an OK 3rd WR, he’s really best as a 4th – who shouldn’t ever be returning punts unless it’s the preseason where he can make huge plays as a punt returner that never happen in the regular season.

The vertical scheme puts too much pressure on the o-line and QB, and is too limited in the red zone. Today is why Koetter is getting canned. Mismanagement and a lack of caring. Plus his offense doesn’t fit Jameis. Jason Licht has too many things to be said about him. He should’ve never been a GM. He cut Lovie’s throat to save his own skin. Then screws the Bucs up with crap drafts and a bad hire in Koetter and allowed Mike Smith to keep his job. Fire effing Licht!

The longer this season has gone on, the more fed up I’ve become.
In the first quarter of the season, I was satisfied with only Mike Smith being fired. By halftime of the season, I wanted to see Dirk Koetter fired. By the third quarter of the season, Dirk Koetter AND Jason Licht had to go. Now, with 1 game left, fire EVERYBODY, change the f~cking uniforms, rename the stadium, EVERYTHING. Get rid of f~cking EVERYTHING.
When 2019 begins, I want the Bucs to be so different that I forget that this fercockt season even EXISTED!

Down by 14 with 7 minutes left we ran for 2 yards and then we burnt off 36 seconds of clock before our next snap. This is a example of very very poor team management by both your coach and OC.
This team is not professionally coached nor put into good situations. This has been this way for the entirety of Dirk’s tenure. This will never change with Dirk.

Jameis has his share of blame but he also made some great plays. This ls a team sport. I know that doesn’t fit your Jameis is the reason we lose narrative but it’s a fact.
If Jameis threw 4 picks that’s different but if you watched this game you will know the main story is those penalties and the 2 fumbles, one being Jameis fault. (He should have run instead of tried to find a receiver when NOBODY was open)
