Three Bucs Ruled Out; Two Likely To Return

November 23rd, 2018

Returning Sunday?

The final pregame injury report is in.

No giant surprises and some encouraging news.

Wearing street clothes against the 49ers Sunday will be Lavonte David (knee), Justin Evans (toe) and rookie cornerback M.J. Stewart (foot). It’s the second consecutive absence for Evans and David.

Stewart has been out for weeks.

Defensive end Vinny Curry and Ronald Jones (hamstring) were listed as “full participation” for the entire week. Curry has battled a bad ankle for more than a month. Joe suspects they’ll both return on Sunday. They’re officially listed as “questionable.”

    Meh

  2. Not Americas QB Says:

They should start Ron Jones and give him 25 carries, time to man up or ship out.

  3. Pryda Says:

Yeah Rojo need a good amount of touches !!

  4. Buc4evr Says:

Yeah agreed: Meh. Won’t make any difference who plays, this defense is doomed. 3-13.

  5. Frank813 Says:

……… and I assume Alex Kappa is inactive, as usual

I agree with a poster here. We gotta see if Ronald Jones is ever going to be..THE MAN for us. These last few games lets run him. You’d think he would have ONE breakout game this yr right? He just might be an NFl Bust. He’s gonna have to start contributing to this team. And just keep Vita on the field and let him get beatdown a few more times. If by next yr, he does not improve. Ship him ..wherevers. This team is full of dead weight and excuses. Better hope Jameis is pinpoint Sunday. Cause we might..be involved in another shootout again.

The Bucs are still in the playoff hunt

They need to go all out

We have THE worst defense in the league….So if Rojo’s not inspiring confidence from the coaching staff in practice, he’s not going to do jack against another team. He’s raw….most likely still adapting to the speed of the game, probably still struggling with pass blocking assignments and who knows if he’s even grasped the playbook at this point.

On top of all that, the Bucs now want to see what they have in Winston….You cant do that with a rookie back there struggling with execution. Rojo might be better then Barber in the long run, but he hasn’t shown enough to a coaching staff scrambling for ways to avoid turnovers and score in the red zone. To me, Rojo looks like a poor mans Reggie Bush….and Reggie Bush wasnt’ great….he was simply versatile.

So far the first two picks seem absolutely terribly worthless.

I hate to say this folks but this gm must go…big bust in vea, big bust in rojo, passed on so many damn good running backs last year and this year , passed on Darwin James for veta 🙁 the coach has been in way over his head since he got the job as we all have seen no improvements in clock and game management & jameis has regressed under him also…this frighten defence is an utter joke and really even tho I could not stand the regurgitated ex falcon reject in Mike Smith , he was not really the problem with our defence…the guy evaluating players to draft and constructing the roster on that side of the ball is the man to blame and thats our gm for you…he has made some ok choices here and there but when you draft a pos kicker in the second round that raises a red flag alone..we need a prez of football operations , who then chooses our gm with a plan in place on how we want our team to be and a clear direction on how to get there..then you go out and get a coach who can take that plan with the players and follow it to a T…what we all have seen for 5 years now is a mumbled jumbled wishy washy ass backwards way of doing things and it will continue as long as the brothers allow it to happen…we need someone who understands how to build from the ground on up ! If the bus can find him out there we will be contenders in 3 years…id rather get these pieces in place and wait the 3 years than to continue to watch these baboons trip over their own feet year after year…they will not get better and may have a lucky year once ! Then it would be right back to buccaneers cove again…have to cut the contracts of gmc , David , d.smith, grimes, and many , many more…what else do we have to lose ?

Ronald hasn’t gotten any carries. I will not doubt that he could get a decent workload and do something with it until I see it.

Once I’ll see it then I’ll judge. Until then we have a coach that won’t play Ronald. But that coach is fixing to get fired because he has made numerous wrong decisions.

Let’s see if our coach who is about to get fired has enough sense to see that the best player on this team right now is Barber and give him an opportunity to proove it.. No justice can explain another sub20 carry game.

  12. JimmyJack Says:

I won’t be surprised if Barber gets 8 carries Sunday. Sounds like such a Dirk thing to do.

  13. MadMax Says:

    tank show….play the 2nd and 3rd stringers!

  14. Getaclue Says:

Kappa hasn’t even dressed yet and Benonoche is ridiculously bad. Poorly managed team

  15. Tampabaybucfan Says:

We will have 5 more games for Rojo to play…..let his injury heel…..give him a few touches to compliment Barber…

As far as Cappa goes….who knows….I suspect he will be playing before the end of the season.

  16. AKickInTheBucNuts Says:

None of this injury report will make a difference.

Yes. The apathy has set in.

  17. SOEbuc Says:

We should put VV at RG. And any of you idiots that think VV or RoJo are going anywhere before their rookie contract is up, get a clue. Doesn’t happen to #1 and #2 pick. At the most they would be on the PS. Hopefully a total clean slate at OBP and hire good coaches and management to help these guys out.
