Brutal Bucs Defense Exhibit-359882

November 18th, 2018

The Bucs ought to print this out and paste it in every defender’s locker, in every defensive meeting room. Hell, put in on the side of the stadium just like a player’s mural.

Old Yeller, Giants quarterback Eli Manning, had a historic day today. Greg Auman of The Athletic has the details.

Yeah, Joe understands the Bucs are hobbled at linebacker and in the secondary from injuries but aren’t other teams beat up in November as well?

Joe thinks the world of Manning, but he’s way past his prime. That’s why NFL Network analyst Steve Smith referred to him as “Old Yeller.”

Doesn’t the defense have any pride?

Guess not. Not only are they preparing for Thanksgiving and the rest of the holidays, but their WAGs are also hounding them about what island they are going to jet off to in January since they will be free the whole month, a sad fact that has become a proud Bucs tradition.

I bet that 1st td from the Gaints put them in that ” here we go again” moment

  2. Duthsty Rhothdes Says:

Hope Jason Gump sees this because he built this historically bad nfl defense, what complete joke of a gm the bucs have & the bucs are so far away from being a middle of the pack defense let alone top 5

  3. Bucs Fan #7423 Says:

Opposing QBs look forward to playing the Bucs so they can earn all their incentives and bonuses!

  4. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

GM Lite has to go! He has truly done a putrid job!

  5. Jonathan Lipnicki Says:

VV looks absent on the stat sheet yet again, MJ Stewart looks strong…Beau Allen & Mitch Unrein have been free agent gems…Vinny Curry worth every penny so far…but don’t blame Licht’s Out…in fact…extend him another year until 2020!

  6. Nprbuc Says:

Total embarrassment again. Was any pass even contested? I may have missed some while throwing up. Any local high school secondary could play as well. I am sure they could have chased receivers from 4-6 yards off as easily as our defense did. This crap show is totally on Licht and coaching. No depth, no grabbing FA secondary, etc.what a joke we are. Blow it up tomorrow. Don’t wait, just get it done.

  7. SilverBuc Says:

Wow, Jameis has some extreme fortitude and determination if he decides to stick with this franchise. Smh

  8. LakeLand Says:

Eli needed this game for his HOF resume

He was 113-110 coming into the game
A loss would have pushed him to 113-111
    But he’s at 114-110 now
Now he has a 4 game cushion, keeping him above .500

  9. LakeLand Says:

BJ Hill the NT, the Giants drafted in the 3rd round with the JPP pick

    Easily outplayed Vita Vea

  10. BigMacAttack Says:

Licht doesn’t care. He’s hiding somewhere in the Caribbean, drinking Corona.

  11. BrianBucs Says:

This is all Jason Licht’s mess

  12. Jsmalls Says:

When was the last time Licht held a presser?

  13. bigdaddio Says:

Just to remind you, the one incompletion was a wide open Barklay for an easy touchdown and Manning made a bad throw. If Barklay makes that circus catch it’s 18-18.

  14. JimmyJack Says:

The first TD was the most demeaning IMO.

Somebody effing explain to me how you enter this game and are not prepared to cover Barkley coming out of the backfoeld.!!!!

For f*** sake you don’t even have to do any film study for that. Just turn on Sports Center once in a while and you will know that you better account for that guy.

Worst f***in coached defense I have ever seen.

  15. bigdaddio Says:

And yeah, I’m going to declare Vita Vae a bust. You can either play DT or you can’t. There’s no learning curve (well there is but it’s an incremental thing). Vita is at best a hanger on type talent who can contribute a few snaps eating space in goal line. Maybe he could play in a 3-4 and just try and push the center back every play. He has zero quicks, less than zero football awareness, if that’s possible. He’s a guy that should have been a post-draft signee. Wasting a high 1st rounder on him is just another in a long line of busts from Light.

  16. Ludicrous Speed Says:

Licht is a terrible evaluator of talent and is clueless when it comes to team building.

But on the other hand, he does like AC/DC.

In fact, his favorite song is probably “We’re on the Highway to Hell.”

  17. Troy Says:

Between Licht and Koetter, we are officially the league’s new sh** show. Thanks for that.

  18. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

JPP is half a sack from double digits. You know, in case anyone is interested in positives.

  19. JimmyJack Says:

Bonzai…….Ill give you more positives. Our Oline showed up today, we may discount short yardage plays because of Dirk. Barber was amazing….I still want more carries when he is playing like that.

Carlton and Whitehead came to play today. Can’t play with with just 3 guys.

    Biggest positive?…..I won’t say. I won’t jinx

  20. Stevbobucsfan Says:

To the defense. I fault who ever kept M Smith around so long. It’s very hard for a coach to install a new defense on the run. If Koetter was the one kept Smith around so long then I fault him if it was the Glazers then i fault them. The defense on this them has been bad for a while so I am not pissed with the current defense guy are missing assignments as was before

  21. Tnew Says:

This is another problem in the fans opinion of Winston. The number one source of information for Bucs fans is watching the game. During Winston’s tenure we have enjoyed the worst passing defense the franchise has ever endured. Weekly, QBs come have career days vs out defense and as humans we compare that to our qb. It is natural to believe the qb should never throw an int when you never see the other qb throw one. When the opposing qb weekly is completing 75% yet our qb is at 65%, it looks worse. Plus when the defense can’t stop the run either…. this is what you have.

  22. Bucsfanman Says:

Did Vea play?! LOL! What happened to this “all-worldly”, athletic, gargantuan, run-stuffing stud we drafted?
Saw Beau Allen getting conveyer-belted too!

  23. K_Bassuka Says:

I still don’t know why Beau Allen it’s taking so many snaps, the guy does absolutely nothing right.

  24. upthegut Says:

Jason Licht was the pick of Lovie Smith. Lovie Smith was pushed onto this team by
Dungy. Dungy has poisoned this team for decades. Take him off the ring of honor.
T0 recommend Lovie Smith is criminal and speaks to a hidden agenda.

  25. Mr Kleen Says:

As horrid as this defense is, they still have looked better (as in not totally lost) since Shmitty left. To me, anyway.
